I want coffee with my morning Joe!
Ok, everybody bright eyed and bushy tailed now?
Heading to Iowa in a few. HOT!

As bright eyed and bushy tailed as I'm going to be. Anymore and I'd be a 🐿 lo

I knew it! She likes hairy chest and doesn't want to admit it.
Hi Susan, don't we all have issues we wish that by keeping busy, our problems would magically disappear. I would love to have you as my cousin.
Mommy, aww. You both are so good to each other. That's how it should be, but unfortunately not always the case in all marriages.
Patty, I guess having boost of energy can be a problem if they come at the wrong time. It can also be a drawback if you are trying to take advantage of the valued energy and do more than you should.

Hi Everyone continuing to be flaky
Mags and I had a longggggggggggggg wine tasting phone call Saturday and solved all the world problems.
Had a chat with a gal from Alberta on Sat. about diverticulitis. Stupid asinine Canadian medicine didn't even come close to treating her properly and now she's in serious trouble. Keep her in your prayers please.
Shep. yoga_girl did a thing about Vitamin D a while back.. Here's a link to her storage thread.

I thought I'd drop this here. I asked Yoga_girl to do a search. You know I'm flaky when I'm not up to searching. I'm not into using lot's of supplements, but this was just too coincidental for Selenium and zinc.
On the D I take 10,000 u a day, but I miss some days. Last level was 89.

Hello Yoga, When I had thyroid cancer(TC) after BC , my research said to take Selenium and zinc. It was confirmed by the BigWig doc at Moffitt NCCN in Fl. The dose was Selenium 200mcg & Zinc 50 mg./day. This was applicable to normal thyroid, thyroid dysfunction, and post thyroidectomy.
Yesterday on fb, I watched a video about a doc going on about big pharma and chemo. He dropped in the video that if women took Selenium 200mcg we would have no BC in 10years. Obviously, it caught my ear.
My research with the TC said there is a connection between TC and BC.
Also, a dear friend was offered a trial at Cornell using Zinc with recurrent TNBC
SOOoooooo, Are you up to doing a search on Selenium & Zinc? Sounds to me it could be a several option action for BC &TC thingy.

Totally true on that, Lover! If it hadn't been for him being my biggest source of support while I was going through the crap with BC, I doubt I would have done so well. Plus it helped that when he was dealing with the broken wrist, I was there for him

Sassy ~ Yoga_girl is brilliant! So many excellent studies are saved on her thread. Thank you for sharing!
Fart Face (using full name when he is particularly assish) had a fit with me last night about my being so heavily invested in breaking down all my test results, medicines and following relevant research studies. This was triggered by my excitement to read my just posted test results from Monday. "you don't understand what you're reading" "how can anyone one those boards know anything more than the doctors?" "you're going to just make yourself upset for no reason" "wait until you see the doctor Friday and let him tell you". When i'm pissed, my voice drops loooow.... So he got the "voice" in full force. I informed him; Yes, I do understand most of what I'm reading, If I don't, I know how to research, and those of us taking such an active part in our damned cancer treatment often times know MORE than the doctors! They can't follow EVERY area of specialty, or ALL trials and research! If I am educated and informed, I am a better patient. I will be prepared for my follow-ups. I will ask better questions, make better suggestions and make better decisions. I will be A PART of my treatment plan, not just a damned PARTICIPANT!
Fart Face hushed his mouth, sulked, and then was pretty darned happy my tests so far are looking not badder.
I feel sometimes like I am preggers again. Only instead of eating for two, I'm thinking for two

I found Ms. Chevy's iron skillet for you,ShepK. A man should know better than to insult his wife's intelligence.
0 -
Hah! Yes Loverly, we need those iron skillets just for "whenever"... ! We learn what to say and what not to say, but as you get older, like as in "older" like I am, sometimes you just think OTHWI (oh the hell with it)..... and you say it anyway. It just helps.... if not him, it helps me. And I never used to get cranky..... but NOW I give myself permission to sass right back when those bad moods come visiting ..... I should be used to it by now.... Almost 59 years married, and we know the true love, and the pesky habits and random outbursts of each other.
We really ARE lucky! Just remember.... what you can't tell them, or don't want to, you always have girlfriends!
I saw something the other day, or a cartoon, that said .... oh wait...
Because you just hear.... "OH NOT ANOTHER PURSE!".... or whatever........... like we pay attention.

Oh no! Not Ms. Chevy's iron skillet!
Now, I'm scared for Mr. Shepkitty. Then again, maybe he deserves it.

Mominator ~ Yee-Haw! Best breakfast ever! Chevy you are so wise. Thank you Loverly for finding that skillet!
FFH and I met as adults and grew up in different parts of the country. He did not know younger me, thus he has no fear. Thhhppppp!

Rut roh, Mr. Shep had better watch out if Shep gets a hand on the skillet 🙀😱😳
Or else he mind end up looking like this 🤕
This brings to mind the Tyler Perry movie Madea's Family Reunion and the famous "Gritball" scene lol

Oh dear!! I'm afraid to ask what you were like during your youth. Just a light bong on the head should do the job to snap him back to thinking straight. And try to control your anger when you do it; otherwise, he will look like Flat Stanley. Anyway, you might not look good in orange and we prefer to have you here rather than the jail house. Yup, Ms. Chevy is the wise one. No use sharing everything with someone who always have negative responses (oops, I have to be careful myself).
Mominator, love the video! Thanks for the laugh. On the outside, I see a choir singer with a cheerful smile and a proper demeanor andnow I wonder if there is a mischievous child waiting to escape

You Ladies are PRICELESS!

M0mmy ~ That grit scene was great! I want to be just like Madea when I grow up 😀. We actually got to see Tyler Perry performing as Madea live onstage in one of his plays. Aunt Bam was there too! What a talented group of people! Tyler Perry is soooo funny. He breaks from the scene and makes comments to the audience. He adlibs a lot too and the other actors are able to just follow right along..... The plays are all great; I have them all on DVD

Well, Lover, you were the one who found Ms. Chevy's iron skillet in the first place. And you think I might have a mischievous child waiting to get out? Maybe you're a bad influence on us!
Shepkitty, best breakfast ever!! I love how she really enjoyed every bite of that breakfast! Hmm, Lover, maybe several of us have mischievous children in us if we all can appreciate the wife enjoying that breakfast.
Interesting side note, Alan Ball, creator and writer of Six Feet Under also was in counseling during the production of Six Feet Under. His therapist would watch the show and sometimes ask Alan "is there something we need to talk about?"

Mominator- I binge watched the entire series of Six Feet Under when it was on HBO a month or so ago. Just loved it, but thought the same thing. What was going on with the writer?
0 -
personally my go to is a 2x4 upside the head...you know, we all have our Fav ways to get our point across
0 -
lol
As I age, I am finding I am becoming more like Madea. She isn't afraid to tell it like it is!
0 -
Or what you DO is, turn your back on them, and flounce yourself right out the door! You can hold your hand high up in the air, towards them, like "tell it to the hand"... And if a cooling off period doesn't help, get out that skillet AND 2X4....
Grandma probably would have hit Grandpa over the head with a whiskey bottle!

lol
I give my hubby a big "Whatever" and then go on to ignore him for a bit!

I KNOW! Because we can't just say, "Are you furking kidding me? You didn't just SAY that did you?" And come HERE...I'm washing your mouth out with SOAP!

lol Chevy

Jazzy and other fans of Six Feet Under, you may want to check out this "Life and Loss: The Impact of Six Feet Under" this is the first of three videos, the creator and actors are interviewed. Also, funeral directors give their opinions of the show.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzoIpasRAvI
The show always started with a death, sometimes simple, sometimes bizarre (the friend of Nate who ran over himself), sometimes the death was part of the story, other times it was peripheral. Apparently, the creator and writers "collected" ways of dying to use in future shows.
When I watched the show when it first aired 2001-2005, it was just a show for me. Now, I've lost too many people and it hits me hard.

Mominator ~ ahhh, how our experiences can totally change our perspective of things. I loved that "breakfast" clip, but I don't know if I could watch the show. Back in the "before", yes.
As for FFH.....Skillets and 2x4s are heavy and require a good swinging arm. Plus, my house is messy enough. I'll just stick with the 4x4 in the driveway - ha!
M0mmy ~ was your DH always such a sweetheart or did you have to train him?
Chevy ~ you ARE Madea!
Susan ~ You have a mean streak too? Yay! And yes, you are the Iron Lady. Painting for 8 hours....OMD. That is work! What did you mean by "cutting" the room? Accent walls or a special mix of paint? And Cousin wants all those different surfaces painted in different colors? Pictures please! Love to see how other folks put things together. Ooooh and a super close up of the super cutie 💜
Sensi ~ Chance is such a handsome, happy boy! I smile every-time I see him 😊
Smaarty ~ ummmmmm nice Joe 😍
Patty ~ has the darned pain monster backed off? My back is ucky, but it is always my stupid hip that pushes me to the breaking point. All the advances in science, why can't they figure out a way to turn off those certain pain receptors? So happy for you that you got some time in the pool
MammaRay ~ Thinking of you 🙏
HiHo ~ Hoping your doctoring has gone well ((hugs))
Mags ~ Sending happy thoughts and healing prayers . Praying for more kitten pics too 😺
Loverly ~ Hope all is well with DH. I looked up Ecuador - they have some good PR folks! Lots of info on lovely hotels and beautiful historic sites. Hope he will get to enjoy some of the nicer things there. Is your little wayward driver behaving? Gosh, they have no idea how much we worry! And what fireman was pantless? I looked at Chevy's fire brigade a bunch of times.....
JunieB ~ Another Iron Lady.....walking all over the world! I'll bet your surgeon was impressed with your progress - wow! Cool about the movie discount. We only have Cinemark and Carmike here. They both are doing $5 tickets for Tuesdays all day. Ghostbusters was good? Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones are both sooo funny! Love them on SNL.
Jazzy ~ Almost patio furniture time?
Zills + Feline = Awesome!
Hey Wren!
Hey Lookie!
Hey Everyone!
Off to start prepping for tomorrow.........follow-up with MO and Nuero-Onc. DS drove Monday, stuck with FHH for Friday. Thhhhpppp.
