Ok, I hope it doesn't get any hotter than this. I am not going to let this heat zap me of my energy. I am going to do some more touch up on my walls. Ms. Chevy how hot is where you are?

Right now, it is only 92, and overcast! I've been hoeing in one of my little gardens, and spray painting little cement angels & things! I'll take a picture when it is finished. At least it is better than 100, like it's been! The mornings are around 65.... I LOVE that!

happy to here most are feeling better.
Philllllyyyyyyy, hope they find a treatment for you besides that coke stuff from chevy that I have never heard off

Lover..I feel,I need to come give you a hug
I had planned to get away with a friend for an overnighter this Monday, Tuesday. Last minute her mom had to go to the hospitol. Claire went up mondaybwith me, lake Geneva Wisconsin , only an hour from me. She dropped me off, thinking my friend would prob make it up late. She couldn't leave her mom, and she stayed where she should of. Gave me a whole day to myself sitting by the beach, watching everything and doing devotions and journaling and reading my bible. It was very much needed, and restored my soul. Hubby ipicked me up and we had dinner there than came home. Nice day
Hubby got a new job. Praise God. Lost his job 6 years ago and has been working 2 jobs since. Now he has one good job. It's been hard on his pride since he couldn't make all the bills without my help working . Hope this eases his anxiety and worry.
Got chemo tomorrow, so IF I get the puppy. It won't be till sunday or Monday. I hope my brother makes the right decision. Mom can't take care of herself let alone a puppy. Puppy only goes potty in the house. I love training dogs, so it doesn't worry me. And if I am to tired to care for a puppy, I will get it well trained, and I know a bunch of people who would give her a great home.
Hang in there everyone
Night night

yes, lover, I'm still on for Friday. Which Thai place? The one on Elk Grove Blvd?
I still like our heat better. Very dry. Not suppose to get under a 100 until Friday. Getting new pics of Evie. Hopefully tomorrow. Got to bug her grandma. We had dinner with them tonight. They'll be back late September for step GD's wedding.
Elena sure is getting big

Wenchie - To save you from typing so much you can just type JunieB for me. Plus I like it better than my JazzyJuneBug. Too long. I am glad your drains are out and hope your treatments aren't too hard on you. How long until your A/C gets repaired? Do you have any re-freezable ice packs to use until A/C is fixed?
Loverly - That heat is just too much! I'm glad you and Mitzy are of like minds on the laying low idea. Edema is still an issue, so I'm still taking the Lasix. But the SOB is better since I've been on the Lasix.
Temp here yesterday was in high 80's to low 90's and humid. It made me nauseous. It was in low 80's today w/o humidity and it was more tolerable. Sorry to hear about the lay-offs at your work-site.
Hope you and Smaarty enjoy your lunch on Friday.
Susan - Hope your treatment goes well tomorrow. Glad you were able to spend some alone time on the beach and do your bible study. What breed is the puppy?
Chevy - I pulled some weeds this evening and by the time I got inside to take a shower I saw 26 mosquito bites on my back, shoulders and caboose. Where to scratch first?
Looking forward to the pics of the angels you painted.Jazzygirl - Enjoy the rest of your week off.
Well I'm off to bed now myself. Sleep well everyone!

Hi girls! Susan.... See, you have to fix yourself up a chocolate coke whilst relaxing. I remember getting one from a soda fountain in down-town Denver after my dance class... I was about 13, and rode the bus by myself! Wouldn't do it anymore... Ha! The cokes were in a little black plastic holder, that held a white cone-shape cup, and the soda-jerk would fill it with coke & ice, and chocolate syrup... And my Mom would have given me a nickle for this treat!

JazzBug... No mosquito's here yet! You have to spray yourself with something, if it is that bad! You can ALSO burn some sage, in the area you are working in... Neighbors will think you are smoking Pot, but the "smell" keeps bugs away... We used to pick sage when up fishing, and then tie it in little bundles, and let it dry... I LOVE that smell... reminds me of the mountains.

Hi ladies- enjoying my time away from the client site and getting lots done, but also enjoying more downtime. My imaging was good yesterday, nothing new there and always a big WHEW when that part is over. On to the BS and MO apts on Friday and hoping all is well there (BS visit is usually just a second review of the films, MO apt is more). Will let you know how it all turns out.
Got a new haircut yesterday to get the hair off my neck in this hot, hot summer. Feels great!

love the hair jazz!!
I don't get those nasty mosquitos by my house. Doc said don't get bit. Ha. How do you do that. We get sprayed now. It's great. We can hang out in backyard anytime, mow grass and weed with our getting bit.
Evie is soooooo cute
Have a good lunch ladies...post pics please
The puppy is part havanese, and King spaniel something, and Bichon . Looks exactly like a havanese now.
Off to chemo....yeahhhhhhhh....not
Have a great day ladies
Stay cool

JunieB, the repair man came last night to fix our AC. It feels great! Wish I could have sat and watched him work. I'm sure some here will agree with that! Here he is!!!

Jazzygirl, I love your hair cut! I'm thinking of getting a shorter wig for this heat and a longer one for the fall. Terry at the Alcott Center said I could come in and have my head shaved and getfitted for a wig when the time comes. I told her I couldn't do that. I can't take that treat away from my hubby. He'd like to get started early! I don't think so!

Wench- you could totally do that, different wigs for different times of the year. You could choose different shades too. I did not do chemo so no hair loss but went with my sister when she got diagnosed. She also got a cap with hair around it for times when she went to the store and did not want to put on anything else.
It was 101 driving home this afternoon. So tired of the heat and don't think we will get any relief for awhile.

Jazzy - Your haircut is gorgeous. Glad you're enjoying your week off.
Wenchie - So glad you have A/C again. I just can't imagine dealing with recouping from surgery AND no A/C. No way that was your repairman! :0)
Susan - I so hope your brother doesn't change his mind either. I can't stand to watch a poor little puppy suffer just because their humans are to selfish to realize what is best for the pup.
I have a neighbor who got another dog a few weeks ago from one of his family members. This man will buy marijuana before buying groceries for himself and then expect the rest of us to feel sorry for him when he has nothing to eat. So my fear is it will be the same for the dog. Also, as any pet parent knows, animals get sick just like humans and have to go to the doctor. I know this man won't take the dog to the vet. I wish I could figure out a way to get the dog away from him. Apparently he has done this before and ended up dumping the previous dogs on his older sister. rrrgh!
Shep - Where are you? Are you O.K.?
A friend called today and took me out to lunch. We had Mexican food and it was quite tasty. Temps here are unbearable for me. A/C has been on for the last day & a half non-stop.
Mosquito bites are more itchy with sweat. I so wish those little buggers didn't like me so much.

Susan, I find that quiet time for devotion quenches the thirst of the soul. But I often allow distractions keep me from being still....such a fool I am. Elena is morphing. So cute!
Jazzy, nice hairdo! Beverly Hill fancy!
JunieB, poor you. I wouldn't know where to scratch with that many bites. You must have sweet blood! When my DD was in Mexico two years ago, she got at least 50 bites. Some had even more. None of the kids on the team were spared. The mosquitos were hungry and vicious. They even bit them through their clothes. Btw, to get ShepK out, you just need to post the right....oh never mind. I don't want to set myself up. Ughhh!
Ms. Chevy, why was theperson that made your chocolate coke a jerk?
Lori, I don't see any tools. Anyway, you would try to break your AC again if your repair guy looks like that, right?

I'm here! Just being a lurker is all. Now that I get my Zometa infusion every 3 months, instead of monthly, it really knocks me on my butt. Any bones that were already achy flair up tremendously and my guts get trashed. I go for more scans Monday to see if I did any more damage to my spine when I fell last month. I just had CTs last week but for some reason the entire spine wasn't included. Grrrrrrr.
Wenchie wasn't the only one with a hunky view. I went and had my car washed!

Good to see ya Sheppie! Sorry your not feeling well. I'm so used to seeing you regularly posting, it makes me nervous when you seem to disappear. Do you take any stomach meds? Like Prilosec, etc.? Waiting for results can be so challenging.
Seriously? There aren't any better places to go for a car wash? Like some place with guys like Wenchie's A/C guy? :0)
Loverly - What did the kids use to stop the itching? I've tried vinegar in the past, but it didn't work, and cortisone cream is very short acting. I wonder if calamine lotion would do anything? But on the bright side the area I weeded sure looks better!
In case your question was serious - A soda jerk (or soda jerker) is a person — typically a youth — who operates the soda fountain in a drugstore, often for the purpose of preparing and serving flavored soda water or an ice cream soda.
Guess that's all for tonight. Off to bed for me now.

Now if those guys washing the car would look like Chris Hemsworth, I would have paid them double the cost just for the pleasure of watching them work!
0 -
no, no, shep, like these!!
0 -
ShepK, have you tried Claritin one day before infusion and continue a week after?
JunieB, try Benadryl along with a steroid cream.
Off to work. Have a blessed day everyone.

Hi ladies- I have been informed my new patio furniture arrived at the store. Made my other payment today and working on getting it delivered next! Whoot whoot!
0 -
Waiting for a package to arrive. Was supposed to be here today
0 -
Yeah Jazzy! Pics please once it is all set up and arranged the way you want.
Loverly - If I take a Benadryl, I will be unconscious. When I had the infection in my arm last year I had a bad reaction to the Vancomycin, so they gave me 25 mg. of Benadryl and I slept for 14-16 hours, plus was groggy for another 8 hours. But thanks for the suggestion.
Hope your workday is going well. :0)

Loverly, our AC is under warranty so I may be inclined to do a little sumpin' sumpin' to the AC?
JunieB, unfortunately not, but a girl can dream. When I dream, I dream big!
Shep, gosh they should have done all of your spine... Unless of course the insurance company makes more money off of it this way?
I had my PET scan done the other day. When I got my appointment time I had asked if it was approved by my insurance? They told me from the code it's under it didn't need approval. I called my PCP office and Jennifer told me the same thing and said to keep my appointment. She called me back and said she wasn't comfortable about the code/situation and would put in the request anyway. Jennifer talked to my insurance company this morning and yes it has to be approved. Jennifer explained the situation and told my insurance co that I had already had the scan done, now what? Well my scan was approved after the fact so it won't come out of my hubby's pocket. Wow! An insurance company did something nice?! I'll have to write home about this!
Storms coming in, I'm sure I'll lose our internet before to long.... gggrrrrr

Got some much needed rain coming tomorrow and the best thing about it is that the 90 degree days are finally done for about a week
