Susan, don't be silly! You look beautiful. Showed your pic to DH because he asked me who you were. His words: "She looks young to be a grandma." My response: " I agree."
I love Elena's ball head. Aww that priceless " What is that you are feeding me?" look on her face. How is Shelby with her?
Ms. S, I am on for Friday. Evie is so cute with her the two bows. Thank you for sending the cards to HiHo and Lori.
Maybe Sensi you can pick the place since your taste buds aren't back to normal yet. And I CAN'T believe you posted that coffee maker. I had to look hard for it. You already have your fireplace going?
ShepK, you have corrupted Sensi!!!
WildT, thank you. It is always good to see DD. We took her out to dinner Friday night and spent time watching her at the swim meet while trying not to be helicopter parents and give her space. Still not easy to let go. I am glad she will be home for Thanksgiving break which is only 3 days, then we have to drive her back to LA that Friday. How are your hands and feet?
Feline, your daughter looks so cute in the picture you posted for Rose. Love her elf ears. I have natural Dumbo ear on one side.
Jazzy, you don't have to be like Demi Moore. There are plenty of more "mature" men out there waiting to cross path with you.
JunieB, you know I like to tease you too.
JeanQ, hope are you resting and not doing more than you should.
Tang, we have not heard from HiHo and are concerned about her. Ms. Smaarty sent her a card a few days ago. Hope she is ok and is just taking a break from BCO.
Ok night night. Need to have a clear head to think properly tomorrow.

There is no place like home.

Susan, you look fabulous!
This disease does take a toll, but some of us just glow regardless.
I do feel, however, that I've aged about one year for every month...especially my skin, and don't even talk about my hands and nails.

Love that pic Lover.
I agree with whoever said these drugs age us. To paraphrase Garth Brooks: I am too damned young to feel this old.

Good Mornin' Feline! Usually when we are up at the same time, I'm just going to bed 🙃
I loved the pics you posted of fall in Ireland; brought back memories of growing up in New England. I don't recall ever seeing such vibrant colours though -gorgeous! Was that a horse chestnut in the 3rd picture? I haven't seen one in years. I thought that they were only a New England "thing". Very cool! I remember cracking open the spiny outer shell/pod to get at the nut inside. The nut looked like finely polished wood and was sooo smooth to the touch. I know that some people eat them but I never have. I just enjoyed holding them and admiring their beauty.
Up super duper early for follow ups with back surgeon, MO and Zometa. Love my cancer hospital - hate the 2 1/2 ride.......with my FF and his scary driving........
Loverly - What do you have against coffee? Or tea? Awesome action shot of DD1! Glad you're home safe. Did DH drive nicely? So sweet the 2 tired girls resting together.
Sensi - Good girl 👍 Who doesn't like pretty kitchen appliances? Very nice pic in front of the fire. You are looking good! Hope you are feeling good too. The screen in front of the fire place is lovely - never seen anything like it. Oooooh and the brick! So cozy! Glasses are on - getting ready to read? Looks like the perfect spot!
Evie, Elena 💕💕
Good Morning or is it Good Night Lita? Shhhh.....don't you know we are all 29 😜
Smaarty ~ Thank you for writing our MIA Owlies!
Hugs as wishes for a happy day to all!

Morning all! Had my coffee and just sitting contemplating what I want to do today.

Okay.....glad to hear we have someone reaching out to her. She's been on my heart recently and I'm worried. Smarty, I'd love to send her a card as well.

Darn! I just realize I called Lita Rita, not once but twice! No one put me in my place. Lita, I am sorry. It is not easy to be me
Ok, I am going to give myself a time out.

Happy Monday, everyone.

Good morning friends- working at home this morning, but also off to "early vote"
Sensitive- I love the photo of you in front of the fire. It is getting cooler here where I live and think mine will be going soon too. How many more chemos, sister?
Loverly- not really looking for a boyfriend at this point in my life. Most men you meet in midlife are looking for a woman to take care of them financially or with their health issues. We call that the "nurse or purse" syndrome. Strong and financially independent men are not abundant these days.
I did date younger once, but the guy who I was having fun with (and AF pilot) thought I wanted to marry him. I said I don't remember talking about marraige and he said he just assumed I wanted to. Ha ha, you know what assuming really means, right?
Wishing you all a good day!

Shep well spotted yes horse chestnut! Native European species I believe and widely cultivated here. Didn't know they were in New England but am guessing the originals may have immigrated with some settlers.

Yahoo! I am only about two pages away from being done with my paper. Will probably finish it tomorrow before I move on to working on the final paper of the semester!!!!! Luckily the last one isn't due until early Dec.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job M0mmy !
Feline ~ Interesting thought on the chestnuts. Gotta read up on them now!
Today is Marti's 13th birthday!
Here s how she looked when she was 8 weeks old...

happy birthday marti, beg for a steak dinner:)
Lover, great pic of daughter and Mitzi. Thanks for the complement. Saw a new doc today for PCP. She said I was the healthiest sick person she ever saw...ha ha
Sensi, great pic. I have had my fireplace on too. Love the cold weather cause I love my fireplace:)
Liked my new PCP. Now I have to get an Eco. Really don't want too. This chemo is working so good on the cancer. If it is effecting my heart, we will have to back off on dosege. That won't make me happy. How do you choose between cancer and heart. Ahhhhhhhh. Fingers and toes crossed here that it is so minor that we just have to track right now.

Hello ladies: Doing pretty good, but still having side effects here and there. Still hard to think I'm off work for another 3 week. Pacing myself and taking it day to day.
Susan-you look great and Elena is adorable as ever
Lover-Glad Mitzy go to go with you when you went to see DD1. Not sure that Shep could corrupt me...I try to claim that I'm sweet and innocent, but I have a little bit of a crazy side
Shep-Happy Birthday Marti.....I agree a steak sounds like a great birthday gift. I got the fireplace screen at Target a few years back.
Jean-look forward to meeting you. Did you have to have fluid drained today? How did it go?
Smaarty-Evie is so cute. And more grandbaby's is always good.
As far as lunch goes, my taste keeps going back and forth, so you ladies (Smaarty and Lover) can pick, because if it's an off day for me, it's not really going to matter, everything kinda has the same metallic taste on my off days.
I know I'm missing responding to some posts, I didn't take good notes. Someone asked about my chemo. I had last one Oct 12th. I think this one hit me hardest, or is the accumulation that the doc talked about. Most recently is I think I have a sty or some sort of pimple/bump on the upper inner lid of my left eye.
Hope everyone else is well and having a great Monday
Oh and I love my fires! I just had my fireplace cleaned this week. I felt a little chilled last night, so I thought perfect for a small fire. Had to laugh, when the AC kicked on at the tail end as the fire was dying out. Bring on the rain!!

Jazzy, I am an idealist (sometime). Relationship is not easy. Being single has its advantages. I hope you don't think I was suggesting you should be in a relationship. You know I am an equal opportunity teaser. You are an intelligent woman. You can smell a rat a mile away.
Susan, will be in your pocket for the test. Your PCP sounds like a cool person. You do look great...how often do you get a Moderator pop in to comment about how you look? Ha! You are beautiful inside and out.
Shepk, Marti was born on a good day. So adorable. You took coffee and tea to a newer level. Ha! Was laughing so hard this morning after I read what Mommy posted.

Don't worry, Lover. Happens all the time with my name.
I just finished filling out my absentee/mail in ballot and paying some bills, and I'm already exhausted! Damn Mr. Cancer!
Cue the music.....
"Me and Mr. Cancer, we gotta thing goin' on....
We both know that it's wrong
But it's much to strong
To let it go now...."
And I still have laundry, errands and a St IV Mets group to attend across the Bay this evening.
"Mr. Cancer, we seriously need to end this relationship. I don't want to be your wife, mistress, significant other...whatever. IT'S JUST TOO EXHAUSTING!!!"

I'll be so glad when having to do all this writing is over! My brain has been getting massive cases of Writer's Block!

Shep - your pup is beautiful. We were just talking about how fun Lost in Space was to watch, I see you had the VHS tapes!
Sensi - youre a trooper, hope the week will be a good one for you. I'm really looking forward to Friday also, sending a PM. A bit of a setback today ... I did have one side drained. As someone here said it was numb so no pain yippee! But the other side needed a temporary drain put back in, bummer. That was also not painful with one exception. The doctor said to try a high dose of B vitamin and gabapentin for the nerve pain. Last time I tried gabapentin for neuropathy after chemo it knocked me out so not sure about that.

Shep - It is 8:30 p.m. here now, so I've pretty much missed Marti's birthday. So give her a belated birthday hug for me, please. Her puppy pics are so adorable. Crazy how fast the time flies by.
Sensi - Glad you're feeling better. The fire looked comforting. If you lived here in the Northwest, I don't think you'd so anxious for the rain. It has been gray and rainy for what feels like several weeks now. Weather person said on the news that Salem has had nearly 10" of rain in the month of October. One town (Astoria) has had nearly 14" in October.
Smaarty - Glad you sent the cards to Holeinone & Wenchie. Evie is so cute with her first hair bows.
Susan - You, Elena & Shelby make quite a cute trio. Elena didn't look too impressed with the sweet potatoes though.
Loverly - Glad you & DH had a great time with DD1. The pic of Mitzy and DD2 in the crate is cute. Mitzy is so dark I had a hard time making out if it was her head or bum against the crate wall. Just before I signed on here I was looking at booties for my puppy to be, from Ruffwear.com. They show videos on YouTube on how to measure your dogs paw and how they react the first time you put the booties on them. So funny.
Jazzy - Looking forward to seeing your pics of your NYC vacation.
Wednesday I'll be baking the cupcakes for my MO's office and I went to Joann's today to get Halloween cupcake liners. No luck, all sold out. Shouldn't have waited this long. Went with black liners w/ white polka dots.
Thursday I have my Faslodex injections. Not looking forward to them. Last month I had a major rash w/ severe itching at the injection site for 6 days. Not even cortisone cream would alleviate the itching.
Lita - Like your song. It's so true. I have noticed the changes in my skin too. Aging really quick since starting treatment, and dry too.
Sensi, Smaarty, Loverly & JeanQ - Have an wonderful time at lunch on Friday!
Goodnight for now.

Happy Birthday, Ms. Wren.

ShepK, I hope you get the rest you need for the looooong day you had today. I also hope that Zometa will not agitate your stomach, bones, and muscles. Praying for quick recovery from the side effects. Hoping to hear good news from the surgeon re: healing.
JunieB, have you tried icing the injection site afterward? Benadryl cream/gel? If you decide to get the cream, Walgreen brand is pretty decent. The gel does not have paraben or methyl paraben.

I have seen my Sis' dog walked with booties on. The pup looked hilarious.
Lita, were you rapping? Ha!
JeanQ, bummer about the set back. Is it the side where you had radiation?

Loverly - Thanks for the link. I see that a flare after a Faslodex injection is not uncommon. I'll go to Walgreen's and check out the cream you suggested.

Lover, those lyrics are actually taken from soul singer Billy Paul's 1972 hit "Me and Mrs. Jones."
I just changed Mrs. Jones to Mr. Cancer
