I'm not sure how I missed the Kirby pictures and Mags post when I posted this AM. I swear technology is playing with me!

Junie, I bet you cannot WAIT to get your hands on that cute boy! He will be well loved!!

Mags, I was half laughing, half horrified right along with you on the toilet story. Nice that you weren't the actual cause for commotion. I'm so sorry you ended up in the hospital. Sending you hugs, healing thoughts and wishing for a quick release.

morning all, back in cold California. That's funny. Was going to go food shopping but I think the jet lag has hit and don't feel like doing anything. Got home last night at 11, got up once at 5 am then again at 11:15. Wow. I'll get some laundry done. No rush there either since it's mostly summer clothes.

I went through the mail this morning. Got a card from Hin1 daughter. Shirley passed on October 12. She didn't get to go to Hawaii like she planned. She had a nice funeral with over 300 people attending. She was a special lady. Patty probably got something from her too. Where's is Patty? Haven't seen a post lately.

Lover, is Sas ever coming back? Miss her too.

Lover, I should be fine for next week. Did you find a place?

smaarty, welcome back. Thanks for the info on holeinone. Pm'd her yesterday again. She will be missed. That happened fast after her stage IV dx. So sad.

Mags - the toilet story was too funny :o) ! Yes, at Mr. Cancer's whim, I've had some pretty "impressive" episodes, too. I'm not eating as much these days, but it surprises me how much diarrhea shoots out of me at times. I can indeed fill up the whole damn toilet, so I sympathize w/how you must have felt.

Jazzy - Kirby looks like a little toy. I just want to squeeze his little face. He's going to be SO much fun! But terriers keep you on your toes so you'll have to get in shape to keep up with him.

Mags - I am so sorry you're in the hospital. I hope they get the infection under control and you're able to go home soon. They aren't suggesting that you should be considering hospice yet are they?

Knowing you were NOT the cause of the toilet debacle should help you feel less embarrassed. But such a relief to have that pressure in your GI tract gone.

Welcome Back Smaarty! You surely deserve to take a day of rest. The shopping and laundry will still be there tomorrow. Evie is the picture of adorableness as usual.

Susan - I have gotten Kirby his toys, harness/leash, food, toothpaste & brush, etc. I think he's set for now. Once he gets bigger I will make him a jacket. I have a really cute pattern here, plus I'll make his collar too. The collar will be for his tags & bell only, plus I found a place to get a clasp that has a reflector on it. He will need to get micro-chipped & neutered later.

Will you get to spend Christmas with Elena, Claire & SIL? How is Shelby doing?

WildT - When is your surgery? It is for replacing the tissue expanders, right? Will you have to stay over night in the hospital or is it a day surgery? Leave it to a child to always be direct and honest. ;0)

As I said last night, had thumb injections yesterday. Left one is awesome, right one hurts like a bear is chewing on it. It is swollen, warm and painful. I couldn't do my hair today or write, etc. I am right handed. Called Rheumatologist and they told me to go to Urgent Care. Since I don't have a fever, they said to ice the thumb and if I do get a fever or it doesn't get any better by tomorrow to do an antibiotic. Speaking of which, the C diff result was negative, but other tests are pending. So will find out tomorrow. May have just been one of those fluke things. Who knows.

Well I guess that's all for now. BBL

Junie, My surgery is Monday! Yes..the exchange of TE's to implants. Can't wait!! It's a 2 hr day surgery, but I have to be adult supervised for 24 hrs, so I will be going home with my Mom and my kids will be with their dad. Bummer about your right thumb. I hope the icing helps!

WildT - I hope your surgery goes well and your Mom pampers you for the day. You'll probably sleep a lot until the anesthesia wears off. May you be happy with the finished result.

wild, good luck Monday. Will keep you in my prayers. I will move you up to the top 5 so I don't fall asleep before I get to you :)

Mags, hope you are feeling better, and get to go home soon.

Jazzy, nice gifts. Yes I will be with Claire and Elena. Her hubby works late, so he will come late Christmas Eve. They spend the night. I leave for California with Claire and Elena Tuesday, we will be together for a week. Then she comes on the 22nd to help me for Christmas, we host. Fun December:)

just dropping in to say Hi!

Mags <3 I hope you feel better soon and can shortly laugh about the less than optimal toilet situation!

WildT- best of luck on your surgery! I'm still recovering from my DIEP surgeries, so I know how anxious you must be right now. Just remember to b-r-e-a-t-h-e and follow drs orders to the letter.

Smaarty- good to see you- and what a little cutie!

and I can't believe Hin1 is gone! I know we hadn't heard from her in a while, but I thought she was just taking a break like Sas and myself. I feel like she just got her 4dx.. I'm so sad for her family, and will really miss her.

I miss Sas, and Spookiesmom, I still seem to have missed where everyone went and why. If you go inactive here things speed past you like the wind.

I lurk, but miss a lot. (Having 2 surgeries in 3 months really hasn't helped my cognition issues. )

Junie- your pup is adorable. Hope your thumb is better soon.

Susan, glad you are getting time with your girls.

Wren- great advice. Chipping is the best thing you can do- i can't tell you how many times it has gotten my escape artist back to me.

Ok- signing off- i've got to go think about Shirley for a while.

Love you all and hope that you are all feeling better today than you did yesterday.

Peeking in to send love n' hugs to all.

Haven't been able to post. FFH's father became ill just before Thanksgiving and has been in ICU since Sunday. Been doing "hospital duty" and keeping mother-in-law company.

Smaarty ~ Totally stunned about Holeinone. Chit. Did not expect that.....such sad, sad news.

Mags ~ Hope you are back at home. Prayers for your pain to ease and for some happy things to start happening for you.

JunieB ~ What in the world? Your thumb was supposed to get better! Jeez...... Thank goodness no C dif. Hope you can start feeling better inside and out soon. Kirby is cuter every new picture. And his ears are standing up so nice and straight :)

Wish I could stay up and "talk" to everyone...gotta try and sleep though.

Lying here in the hospital, headache still raging, and I read about HoleInOne. Loved that lady. We got our stage IV dx about the same time and she's gone. I'm heartbroken, and also feel like I just got slapped in the face with a frozen flounder.

DH came by last night and brought contraband from Panera, which I ate and immediately knew I shouldn't have, although it stayed down. Then we actually talked about some things we need to start planning for, like who gets what from my stuff, especially stuff that was my Mom's. First time he's gone there, so that's progress.

    Oh Lord, what's next

Mags.... it's just me, silly lady! Now what's all this going on with you and your whatevers? I mean it just makes me sad to see where YOU gals are not up to being your regular selves! And you go fooling around in the Hospital, probably not behaving, like our Peppermint, and then you get all better again, and get to come talk to us....

I READ you a lot.... but how did I miss Hi-Ho???? Damnit! it hurts all of us, when someone we care about goes somewhere else.... You know, I found this a couple years ago, and always think of this when one of our friends goes to a better place....

Image result for she let go

Mags.... you still awake? Have they been able to draw blood yet? Is that what they were doing? That was funny.... You told her "You get just one shot at this".... Haaaaaah! It's wonder she didn't smack you right back down... or you were probably already down........

And JazzBug.... What's this? I mean about Sheppers whatever he is? Do you mean what I think you mean? The FFHF???? Is that proper language??? You guys talk like you know what you are talking about !! I think we all get those days, where those thoughts are entirely appropriate.... Haaaaaaaaa!

It was our Spookie that told me about HiHo last night, in a text.... So I just wanted to tell you gals Hi.... and that I think or you a lot........

Me and DH are doing fine.... I mean considering....Winking Now what does that mean??? I said it, like they always used to say, but I just mean that at OUR age, and not breaking anything lately, or falling off a curb, or running into anything, we are doing GOOD!

Hi little JWow....... You say you are having trouble with your ignition? It's probably a rotor problem, in the starter? SingingSmile And so what did you have your surgeries for? or on?

Good morning WildT.... It's because you love wild-tulips, right? Good luck with your up-coming surgery! I know how we DREAD those things !

Wren, I couldn't figure out WHAT "chip"... then I read more, and figured it out! Man, those pups are so cute! That's about all I put on my FB page, is everything about cats and dogs!

Hello Susan & Lila! I'm still on this one page, and I can't go see anybody else.... I'm just worried about Peppermint... gotta check on her thread to see if she's back...

Miss Smarty! Miss you too little one....! Hugs to all.... xoxoxoxo You too Queenly! Talk to you later......

I just read the news about Shirley(aka holeinone) and I'm devastated. I had been coming on here and checking for her for awhile, sending her pm's and not getting an answer and was very worried. I was finally able to send a card to Patty and hoping she was able to forward it to Shirley. All this time she has been gone :( I bonded with Shirley, she was a few months ahead of me when I came to the boards after being dx'd and she was always there for me. What a sweet, beautiful soul! She was concerned about her family and how they were handling her stage 4. Ugg...I'm just sad to hear this :(

Mags I hope you are feeling better.

Glad your DH was able to talk about some of the things that you wanted to let him know.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of another beautiful lady from the Boards. Sincere condolences to Shirley's family and to all those who loved HoleInOne.

Oh Mags, I was crying inside and laughing at the same time at your toilet story. I wish I could give you a real hug. You sure know how to use humor in your terrible experience. That is one of the thing I love about you. I hope you are blessed with the time you need to make all the arrangements. I am sad, but glad you are at peace. I hope your DH is also at peace and that he is reminded that we are only here temporary.

Sensi, I hope you got the rest you needed. Here wishing you tolerable side effects with Tamoxifen and NO chin hair or extension of nose hair. Yay to chance having a friend to play with.

JeanQ, has the numbness continued to improve? Love to see pics of your new baby. And you came home from the vet with another cat? Another crazy cat lady! I have not had a cat for a pet. DH is allergic to cats. I am more of a dog person. What excercise class are you in? There are days I don't feel like going for a walk, but Mitzy will give me the puppy eyes and follows me around the house howling. She keeps me on my toes. Thank God DH bikes with her when I can't walk her.

JunieB, yes I do have your recipe which had twice the amount of cream cheese. I gave the girls the other pumpkin cheesecake recipe I had saved on my phone instead. You give me 50/50 choice and I will pick the wrong one most of the time.

I am so glad it was not C. diff. It is very tough to get off a PPI because you get major rebound acid production. It is like opening the gate of dam that holds an acid river. Hope you get Kirby on your planned date. Any of the parents of Kirby's siblings will be passing your area to pick up their baby? Maybe you can make arrangements? Hope the redness in your finger goes down soon.

Lita, oh yeah, when we first came here, there were no seatbelt law. Picture 7 kids and 2 adults in a sedan. Good thing we kids were sticks.

Ms. S, love that face of Miss Goober. We are meeting at Fourth and Sea Fish & Chips. They supposedly have good burgers and garlic fries there. What do you think? We just need a place that serves hamburger. I bet you miss the warm weather of Oz and glad to be sleeping in your own bed.

Thank you for letting us know about Shirley. Very sad. She was a sweet and caring lady. I was aware she was not doing well, but did not expect she left so soon. I don't know when Ms. Sas is coming back, but she sends her love and asked for prayers. Talked to her yesterday. Blood pressure went wacko over Thanksgiving week which was not good for the existent problems with her eyes.

WildT, out of the mouth of babes. Haha! Children are honest and speak their mind. So glad your mom is there to help you. Echoing what Junie said: hope you are happy with the result. May they be symetrical and that one does not look east and the other one looks northLoopy

Susan, your itinerary is full this month! When is chemo? I can't wait to hold Elena. Hope she will let me.

Hi there JWoo, oh my! Still recovering from surgery and you are able to decorate that tall Christmas tree you posted on Patty's thread. Impressive!

Shep, my friend, I am glad to see your post. Was going to send out some firemen to get you. I am sorry to hear about your father-in-law. What a good daughter-in-law you are for watching over MIL.

    Hi Feline!

Mommy, when are you done with fall term?

    Tang, hugs.

I almost forgot....DD called me around 7 a.m.the other day. I could hear background noises and knew that she was not in her dorm room. My first thought was did they have an earthquake in So Cal. She asked me if I had to go to work. "Yes, why?" DD, " I had a nightmare last night and did not realize it was a nightmare until I woke up. I dreamt you passed away, mom. I had to call you to tell you that I love you mom." Poor kid. Final is coming up soon. She is probably worried about school

lover, the place looks good, yummy. So Susan, what time do you land? It will take us about 1 hour and 45 minutes to get there. Jean, are you driving now? If not I can come pick you up and then get Lover and go down 5 to get there. Or we all meet at Lovers then I'll drive to lunch. ??? Let me know if that works. Sensi, if you have the day off let us know.

Mags, hope you're doing better. Sorry to hear Patty is hurting again, too bad something can't be done :(

Hi Jwoo and Tang. Hey, Chevy, going to stick around for awhile? My granddaughter and family are now in your neck of the woods. Hear it's cold there.

Yes, I already miss the warmer weather in AU, darn cold here! I know that's relative, but it's a shock to come back to 40^ . I finally went grocery shopping, now all stocked up. Laundry still to do. There's tomorrow for that. Did I post a short video of me feeding a parrot in my hand? If not, I'll see if I can get it to post

Loverly, Awww...poor DD. I hate nightmares. I hope she gets to spend a good chunk of time with you over the holiday break.

Thanks, everyone for the well wishes. I have decided I am the queen of, "bite off more than you can chew." I'm working on laundry so I can get my kids packed to be at their dads for 3 nights, and me at my mom's for two nights. Plus trying to make food and take care of any chores that require lifting (like filling water softener).

I'm sorry to hear about the passing of one of the community members. My heart goes out to those of you that knew her.

Mags -I hope you are doing a little better. My favorite part about your toilet story is laying there pretending to be asleep and then hearing Sam Elliott...

Loverly - Yes the burning pain is fading, just a little evening nerve pain nothing like before. We had a busy week so were bad kittyparents and didnt get pictures will do that this weekend so you can all meet him. I was going to a yoga/pilates class before surgery...do you want to motivate me and come with? It's downtown across from LaBou.

Smaarty, Loverly, Susan - We have been busy trying to get my husband up and running (when it rains it pours for sure) and I just cant make it on Tuesday. MRI's and appointments will be keeping us busy next week but hoping to get a plan in place so we can enjoy the holidays. Oh yeah and I get fitted for my prosthesis, hope the real foobs are comfy like these misshapen soft ones Ive been wearing. Yes Smaarty I'm cleared to drive now but thank you for the offer to come get me, I really appreciate it. Will look forward to pictures for now.

WildT - The AI side effects got to be less and less for me, hopefully yours will also. I did switch from arimidex to femara and that helped. At my last oncologist visit we discussed my staying on AI's since I'm at 4.5 years now. I said I'd keep taking it as I dont really notice the SE's anymore. I am ticked off at it though for not doing its job to keep the cancer away but this time it was ER negative so go figure. Heres to "squishy boobs" for you on Monday!

Very sorry to read about Holeinone. I wasnt here to get to know her but she sounds like someone that will certainly be missed. Sending good wishes up for her and her family and all of you.

Lover- I am very lucky, and had all of my closest friends over to help me decorate my house this year. I am only 4 weeks out from surgery date, and still sore as heck. BF put the big tree together, already pre-lit, then friends decorated pretty much everything. It was a lot of fun to have them all over. I am very fortunate to have a circle of people around me that care like they do. --- Hope your daughter does well on her tests. That stress can def trigger nightmares and all kinds of anxiety.
