Mommyof2: when I told my husband about The Brownie in The Purse (complete with cute note) he got this pretend exasperated expression on his face and said "So I'm on the hook. Right. Fine. I'll get the super jumbo size jar of Nutella. And two candles." (Reference to what I consider the one perfect Birthday Cake he got me a few years ago.) Just so you know your DH's set the bar high.

Hi friends- thank you for all the nice birthday wishes. Although I don't do a whole lot of big celebrating anymore, each birthday feels pretty important these days, all things considered! I made it to 57!

Been away and busy but will catch up with everyone soon! Love you ladies

Sassy, I'm glad to see you have not been idle in your glass thrifting. Lovely pieces. I would need a shoehorn to fit one more cordial glass in my big china and two curio cases. Ridiculous.

I've been going crazy the last half hour. I suddenly remembered that my friend's sister is joining us for the weekend, and I can't remember if I reserved tickets for 5 or 4. I don't remember the ticket site, and I had the confirmation sent to DH. So I can't find out til morning. I will feel horrible if I've screwed this up. I hate chemo brain.

lol QMC! My hubby is usually a pretty low key kind of guy but he knew how much that scan was going goof up my whole day's plan

Jazzy, happy birthday! I hope you have a wonderful birthday week!

Lover, your niece is adorable and the labradoodle is sooo cuuute! I watched an 88 yo yoga/dance instructor on the news last night and I wonder if it's the same woman? I've only had 2 migraines myself. Root beer and flashing lights while drinking to much wine are my 2 triggers. So I stay away from root beer and flashing lights. The wine stays! 😜

Shepk, how are you feeling? Better I hope!

Mommy, praying for clean results on your CT scan. A surprise brownie from your DH? Priceless!!

Mags, how are you feeling? Praying your PET/CT scan goes well on the 4th. I also have degenerative arthritis in my lower back and tailbone and it keeps spreading upwards. Fresh baked bread sounds delicious and I can smell it from here!

Smarrty, WOW! What a beautiful shot of a gorgeous group of ladies! I'll have to remember the tiled stairs if we ever get back to SF.

Lita, praying you get full relief from your pain ASAP!

June, I've gotten mixed reviews about chemo/rads SEs. Some say chemo was worse but I say my experience with rads is much worse than the SEs from chemo! Just 2 more to go! Yay me!

Sassy, I'm always wishing for more money for my visions. My DH tells me to stop having the visions so he can stop giving me money 😜

Ewagen, Sassy is absolutely right especially about the dentist. I've lost 3 fillings and broke off a root canal/crown during chemo. Dentist appointment is on my list once rads is finished. It scares me to think what else might be lurking in there that hadn't raised it's ugly head yet?!

    Healing hugs to All! 🤗🤗

On top of doing the laundry, I had to do a little mending today. Hubby managed to tear a pair of pants last week at work. I noticed it yesterday while doing his laundry. So I grabbed the ironing board, iron and an iron-on patch. The whole mending job took a total of ten minutes to do. Not exactly how I wanted to spend my day but I didn't want to hear him constantly badgering me about it. Told him he owes me big time for it as I was not feeling up to doing much today because of a slight cold due to the rainy, cold weather we had the last couple of days

HI sas chatzi and all the wonderful ladies on this thread. Thank you. Just got my Diagnostic Mammo and US today and I'm clear. It's a 3mm breast tissue lump. Thank you for your support.

Ewagen, great news! We are friendly here, but don't take pleasure in welcoming people to this club. Thank you for coming back to let us know. Now go and live life and bless others, especially your little one.

Feline, wow! DD is becoming more and more beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Always put a smile on my face. Did I ever tell you that I wanted to be a dancer or gymnast when I was younger? Same with DD2. I regret not giving her the opportunity. Yes, laundry is important. Can you imagine having to hand wash clothes?Shocked

Lori, can't imagine that radiation is worse than chemo. So sorry. Two more to go....yay!!! Almost there.

Ms. Sas, good finds! Beautiful! Where do you find space for them all? I love the look of the tile. Wish we thought about the tiles when we did our living and family room. Much easier to maintain with a big dog. And I don't have to worry about scratches. Oh well. About the bump on my head...not sure what it is. I vaguely remember I hit my head when tried to get in my SUV unless that was my dream. Guess what I did earlier? I bent down to put some water in Mitzy's bowl and then when i went up I forgot about the granite overhang (island) and hit my head near where the bump is. No foul words left my mouth, only ump. I am such a klutz.

Wildt, I don't remember if I commented on DS' pic. Also, put a smile on my face. He seems like a happy kid with joy in his ❤️.

Mommy, no news of scan (yet) is probably good news.

    Hi there, Queenie!

Mags, no chemo brain here, but I think mine took a vacation somewhere. I will spare you all my oops.

Hi Loverly, thanks ankle improving. Still likely weeks, but heading in the right direction.. Shep and I talked walker technique's. She's lurking and doing well. I didn't really have permission to say that. HEY SHEP was that okay?. ...That bump on the head may actually get better b/c you knocked it on the granite. Wbc's coming to do wound cleanup may recognize the lump and clean it right up. Please, though consider our usual fallback position on weird things

Wenchi one more rad. Damn. Your a champion. Was that wound care section useful? Wish it were my thread cuz then I could have designed it better. Someone said a section was black. I missed that. You have my number if you want to chat about it. ......Hahahaha vision money people will think were eligible for lock and key.

Hmmm ewagen reread your post sending a PM

Sas, Lover, Susan thank you. She is graceful and beautiful. She didn't get it from me I can assure you.

Lover I grew up hand-washing. Washing machines were not common here in the 60's and 70's (I was born in '67). My parents got their first one after I left home! Funnily they are getting a new one this very day as their 11 yo machine has just died. Of course parts are obsolete etc. I remember in the 70's there were shops to take your kettle, iron etc to be mended. None of that here now. Boy i sound like my age!! Loopy
