Sassy, thank you I will check it out. My RO explained my site not as a burn but more like the skin cells have been damaged by the radiation treatment and the skin cells can't repair themselves as quickly as usual. Makes a lot of sense to me. Someone on another thread told me the same thing, even before my RO told me. Smart people rock

Congratulations Wenchi ! You made it through. What is the first thing you want to do now that going to a clinic is no longer on your daily "to do" list?

Hey Sas! Your glass finds are quite lovely.

Mags - What show are you going to see? I got to see my first play back on March 3rd. It was called "The Open House" All about dysfunctional family relationships. It was well done, but the father character was so narcissistic that I I wanted to push him over a cliff. I actually said it out loud and got a scowl from another audience member. Oh well.

Susan - Cute pics of Elena. she is growing so much. Pretty blankets. Did you knit the pink one with the cable? Here's hoping Baily will be understanding with you.

Kirby will be home in 6.5 days. I wonder how much he has grown. He turned 6 mos. old last Wednesday the 29th. Trainer said he'd had a lot of fun running around and through the rain & mud. I sure hope he got a bath. Saw a Facebook post from his birth family that said that Kirby's half brother Eric is living just 25 miles away from us.

Feline - The pics of your DD dancing are beautiful.

Mommy - Glad your scan came out good. The brownie in your purse was very kind of your DH.

This has been a LONG week. I volunteered all 5 days and have completed only 11 of the 26 letters of the alphabet in this project I'm working on. Once Kirby is home I won't be able to spend as much time there if they don't allow me to bring him with me. I'll be glad when this project is done.

Well the pillow and my blankets are calling my name, so I am going to answer the call. Sleep well dear ladies and Happy April 1st!

Morning all. First time I have slept past 6 a.m. in a long while. Was kept awake until about midnight because some idiots moving stuff into a house in my area after 9 p.m. Making all sorts of noise and talking very loudly while we were trying go to sleep. They even kept poor Jackson awake with their racket. Felt like going out there and confronting them

WenchLori- I was scrolling back and saw the post of you finishing rads and ringing the bell. You look beautiful in that photo friend.Congrats on finishing this milestone and wishing you a good recovery. I know rads makes one a very tired person!

    Happy April Fools Day everyone!!

June, I think my 1st goal is to rest up! I'm exhausted! I was warned the next few weeks could get worse before it gets better. I have several appointments scheduled this next 2 weeks, it should be interesting. I bet Kirby will be as excited to be home as you will be to have him home.

Mommy, in a case like your new neighbors, water balloons come in handy 🎈But only if they are close enough to be hit! Some people think because they are awake everyone else should be too.

Jazzy, thank you so much. I'm sleeping between 12 to 14 hours right now. I'm praying it gets easier to stay awake soon 🤞

Lori, I agree with Jazzy. You look beautiful in that picture. Not very many ladies look that good with buzz hair. I laughed so hard reading your comment about the water balloons. You surprised me. Didn't know you have that in you. 😂 Thanks for the laugh. Good rest.

Mommy, glad you didn't go out and yell at those clueless people. Sometime people don't realize how noisy they are. Less stressful if we get along with our neighbors.

Yes Jazzy, may we all have pleasant surprise(s) in April.

Kathy, hope your appointment with rheumatologist went well and that he/she has the wisdom to help alleviate your yucky.

Ms. Sas, once a nurse, always a nurse. 💕 Has Ewagen contacted you?

Junie, less than a week before your baby is home. Do you think he will remember his Mama?

    WildT, how are you doing?

    Hootie hoo, Patty!!

Susan, Elena loves her doll, doesn't she? Good rest, my friend.

Hi Queenie, "regular spaghetti " hmmm. I saw that. Ha!

Shepk, have a blessed time with your BFF. Make sure to get beach therapy. So happy for you.

Eeyore, how are you doing? Wind has not blown you in here for awhile.

We had our monthly get together yesterday. As usual, it is always a joy to see the ladies. As you can see, no chicken feet although I was trying to convince Sensi that they are full of collagen and may be good for her. Peppy, thank you! Good food. I was so full I skipped lunch.

Lover: it's not 'regular' spaghetti, it's 'normal' spaghetti. There's a difference. Sort of. If you're eight.

Sas: aside from 'welcome back', thank you for asking about my educational plans. I can't remember precisely where you left off, but...while I'm still considering where I want to go with my loop-back-to-education, the computer science sequence is looking more interesting. I'm not ruling out continuing with business and then pole-vaulting into graduate school for same, but if I stop with what Local Community College has to offer, combining business with computers makes sense.

Hi, Lover. Liked the doctor I saw and the resident working with her. Has not given me a definitive answer to what I have yet as she is waiting on lab reports. Had to have blood drawn, give a urine sample, get a chest X-ray for the congestion which I've had done. Waiting for my appointment with the eye doctor she referred me to to check the dry eyes. Must say she was very thorough. Since my PCP seems to waiver on the dosage for my meds for diabetes, she wants me to see an endocrinologist which I've been saying I was going to do for a while. This made me do it. Decided to see the one I found for my hubby instead of the one she was referring me to. They are in the same practice. Will let you know what's what when I hear. Thank you for your concern. Your niece is absolutely adorable. What a peaceful look on her face. How is your family doing? Mom and dad are well?

Ladies, a fantastic picture from your breakfast! I think it is so neat how you get together and share with us.

Susan, Elena is so happy in the swing. Love how you bundled her. Pink is her color. I bet she doesn't give up her dolly to just anyone. The look on her face and the grip she has on it, I wouldn't want to try and separate the two of them. LOL. Hope you are doing well.

Sas, your glass finds are exquisite. You do have an eye for it. DD2 mentioned at Christmas how my Waterford has no resell value. Kept my mouth shut but sooo wanted to tell her it was never bought with that in mind. It was bought for its beauty. Wedding week was very nice. Wedding ceremony was very low key with just immediate family which is what. DD1 wanted. Reception was great. Haven't had that much fun in a long time. Great DJ who didn't take a break and played good music. Only slow songs were the first dance, father/daughter and mother/son. Photographer could have done better (glad I didn't pick him or pay for him). Two weeks before the festivities DD decided she wanted flowers. Aaaagggg. She had me out on the internet sending links for arrangements in her color scheme. Picked what she liked and then I put her in touch with the bulk order department with Teleflora. Got a little nervous the day of set up because she forgot to tell her planner the name of the florist. That was needed so they could get in the building since it is a secure one. Whew, it worked out.

Lori, glad you are finished with rads. Listen to your body and rest when it tells you.

Shep, hope you are improving every day.

Junie, can't wait until Kirby gets home. You sound so excited about his homecoming. You'll need to post a picture of him.

Feline, your daughter is gorgeous. So graceful.

Hey Patty, glad you're popping in.

Hi everyone I've missed. Not intentional, just forget to take notes as I read. Dan, you would think I would learn by now.

Beautiful picture of you ladies at lunch. Sensi, you look great with your darker hair. Now I'm confused on whether it's Peppy or Poppy? which of you is Gus's Mom? Loverly & Smaarty you look beautiful too.

Loverly - I don't know if Kirby will remember me or not. Trainer said that it may take him 15-20 minutes to get there. I'll let you know on Friday.

Has anyone ever heard of a supplement called Fucoidan? I was reading on another thread that was started in 2011 that one those ladies was taking it and doing well. Plus, I found this article at

    https://www.ncbi.nim.nih.gov > NCBI > Literature > PubMed Central called

Fucoidan and Cancer: A Multifunctional Molecule with Anti-tumor Potential.

Also had an frustrating discussion earlier this evening with a neighbor who gave me the impression that she no longer believes that I really have MBC because the stats she's read on-line all say that I should be dead by now. No, I know full well that her opinion is based totally in ignorance of the real facts of MBC, but it sure is tiresome to deal with these people. Geez louise!

kathindc - I hope you get the answers you need soon. How is your weather in your area.

Queenie - Glad to hear your schooling is going well. Now you said that there is a difference between normal spaghetti & regular spaghetti. But I don't remember you sharing what the difference is. Please do. Thanks.

Wenchi - I didn't have as many radiation treatments as you did (only 5), but I remember that day 1 & 2 were a breeze. Then day 3 hit me like a ton of bricks. The fatigue and my crankiness where a challenge. So I can't imagine how you've dealt with the number of treatments you have had and still look so great at your completion. Rest well! You've earned it.

Okay, it's nearly 1:00 am and I really need to go to sleep, so goodnight to all and sleep well.

Hi gals! Nothing exciting going on here.... And the weather is just not meant for working in the yard! Got cupboards cleaned out... Now going to clean off the doors, and do the floor!

Daughter in Orlando sent me funny clips of Lily Tomlin & Jane Fonda, on the TED network, also a night show clip.... I used to watch Frankie and Grace, and that series was really FUNNY! Seems as though "older" women are just as fun as the much younger ones...Which is nothing new to me & Cammi & Ducky.... Hah!

It's funny how as you get older, you can see through people a lot better than you used to.... I mean if they are acting like jerks, or namby-pamby's, you just walk away, and figure you don't really need that in your life.... Whether it's friends or distant in-law family people type. In other words, we become more selective of what we want or need in our lives... We "choose" who we want to be with....

Man, I remember when I was younger, the THINGS people said, or did, and we were supposed to just look beyond that bad behavior... But maybe that's why we grew up to figure out what was best for US! And what we didn't need in our lives... Probably due to the fact that most of them passed on..... Haaaaaah!

And then the "family" member who just still thinks the world is revolving around her .... just because.... And you look at them and think... "GOOD LORD, did she really just say that?" And that's the reason you don't see people, except at funerals & chance meetings.... Just give them another Prozac or Valium, or maybe both.....and then walk away....

JunieB: at this point, I can't remember on which threads I've shared the story of 'normal spaghetti;. In brief: my mother went through a pasta kick, back in the '70s. I can't now remember what recipes she'd tried, or how often, but after a few weeks, my exasperated (younger) sister exclaimed, "Mommy, can't we ever have normal spaghetti?" meaning the bog-standard meat/tomato sauce. The name stuck, and now I've even got my husband using the term.

It comes up here because Susan3 came for dinner one night, and that's what we served her....and had to explain the term to her.

Junie- ugh, people who have decided the way things are with your health. The "armchair oncologists" as I call them. Armed with a computer and google search, they become experts. What is that about anyways?

It is tiring to listen to other people's opinions about your cancer or health in general. I have people drone on about every little health issue of theirs, their families, even people I don't know, but will be quick to dismiss anything around my cancer history, SEs from the AIs, etc. Needless to say, I talk a lot less to people about my health these days. Just tired of listening to why I got it, how I should have treated it, and what to do to keep it from coming back.

    When does Kirby come home?

happy Sunday to all. Trying to get my life happy again. I am so tired of people not being nice and lies and manipulating. Got to figure out a way to survive happily in all the mess. And that's why I have a good counselor. Wish me luck. I will cry for a few days then come out strong....I hope. That is usually what happens. Life is so much easier when people are honest and nice.....why don't people choose that. Go figure. Alas....I will be better...just had to purge a moment....sorry

Loverly, Ewagen hasn't contacted me. Likely she has flown away. Next time someone drops in, I'll just say it. I wasn't thinking fast enough when she was here...The lunch pic is great. Your hair has really gotten long sense Spookie and I saw you in Florida.

Sensi, you look great. Love the hair!

Smarrty, You look great too. Did you make your dress?

Everyone looks glowing and healthy YAY

Hi Queenie, Ah-hah, that is where I left off was you were trying to decide, but hadn't either registered or picked a particular subject. Nice picks. Computers are the world now. I think that everytime I have to contact my tech company. Have fun with it. :)

    Hey Chevy (waving)

Kathy--thanks on the glass, I'm particularly, fond of the Cambridge Caprice. I was rehoming some to Smarrty, then couldn't part with it. I sent Smartty some from Replacements.com. LOL. The wedding sounds typical to last minute stuff. I was unhappy the day of b/c my hair wasn't cooperative. and I didn't like my dress. I looked at my twin and thought we should switch clothes. I didn't follow that instinct and now so wish I had. Haven't seen any official photog pics yet, but I know they are not going to look well. But I'm okay with it. I forgot, almost to add that DS bought me an exquisite sapphire with sterling mount necklace and gave it to me on the morning of the wedding with a beautiful "life thank you letter"

Dear son asked for pics of his Dad, but would only say that DDIL wanted to do something. Without clear guidelines I went through the whole big pic box, baby books and framed pics and took them over to him in Tampa. He ended up getting a pic from SIl. My work of several days of sorting was for naught except the box was now organized. I pitched all nonessential pics i.e sunsets that now meant nothing.

I made pic packages to give to sister, two cousins, and SIL at the lunch we had here after we got home. That was a fun surprise for everyone as they looked at 70's and 80's pictures that were of them or their families. Things that DS would be clueless about when I'm gone. That part was very worthwhile.

OOps forgot about your tests, hope they all comeback normal....

Junie our talk was very fun. On the Fucodian I said I was familiar with the Khombu. I used it with my Dad when I put him on a macrobiotic diet when he was on dialysis. Khombu(seaweed) and Lotus root soup was one recipe attempt LOL. DS was about 28 months and he leaned back from the table and said "No, good Mom". Loverly, likely would have made a very good soup.

Ohhhh Susie, so sorry that whatever's made you so unhappy. Yes, people lying is the worst.

Jazzy, Junie&Shep, and I just got done with the same conversation about "everyone" knowing better than we do. Frustrating. Especially when they want to go off on the asparagus route.

Thank you everyone for your kind comments on my picture. Honestly, I wish I felt as good as I look. lol

Queenie, your "normal spaghetti" sounds yummy!

Kathindc, WOW! You remembered all that and didn't take notes? I bow before you hehe. I can't remember a single line let alone several conversations. I'll be praying your test results come back with good news!

Beautiful Ladies! Your breakfast looked delish!

Junie, something's people say without checking their brains first?! I ask the pushy people in my left if they have a degree in Oncology? If the answer is no...nuff said! My MIL did that to me the other day telling me I have to get daily injections of some sort after radiation. I checked the drug that she said I needed... it's for anemia. I told my DH I was tired of the topic and he said "This from someone who has stage 4 lunge cancer and won't do anything about it?" I think we all haveone of "those people" in our lives.

Loverly, oh yeah I do things like that but only when it's called for. The owner of the stable I used to work at had problems with boarders speeding thru the ranch. I sat at a picnic table and yelled at people going to fast. If I told them twice the next time the water balloons came out. Getting wet once or twice usually does it. lol

    Chevy, Hello

Susan, purge away! We're all here for you! Hugs coming your way 🤗

Hi ladies, read to catch up this AM, but didn't take notes, so please forgive my lack of personalizing. At the beginning of last week I got hit hard with a cold, so barely got through the week doing necessities.

Sas, I read the post about email to Ewagen. I think it's fine to do, but I would preface info with something like, "Not trying to scare you, but I want to offer advice based on my experience." She probably has left BCO...good for her!

Susan, gentle hugs. I get what you are saying. I would love to retreat from the world for a few days. Sometimes people take too much or say too much, and the only way to re-charge is a good cry before you pick yourself up again.

Loverly, I'm fine, thank you. I'm optimistic that I'll fully be over my cold in time for surgery next week.

The rash that I have had from an AI finally cleared up. It took over 2 months for it to get out of my system! I was going to see an allergist about it next Monday, but I think I'll cancel that appointment now. My feet are feeling better, not 100%, but pretty good. I don't know if it's the chiropractor, better shoes, or both, but I am pleased I've had results. Oh, and my lymphedema flare up has improved too. I'm scheduled to work tomorrow, but then may not the rest of the week. I seem to catch things so much easier since chemo and don't want to risk getting sick before surgery on the 11th.

    love and hugs to all!!

Wench- I remember going to a Thanksgiving dinner with friends about two weeks after my breast surgery and six week after another major surgery right before. Everyone comments on how great I looked. But on the inside, I was tired and it was a huge effort to just make it to that dinner at all. I hope you continue to feel better with time and know it just takes as long as it takes.

I have a friend who always blabs on an on about other people's cancer stories, but tells me "yours is not coming back, I just know it." I respond to her with "wow, even my oncologist never says that to me." She has seen well enough that cancer is not always a one time deal. She has her own special kind of denial where I am concerned......

Hi Loverly: The wind blew me across the Pacific Ocean, I am visiting my 93 year old mom. Physically she is o.k., but mentally declining fast. Fortunately we FaceTime every week, so she still recognizes me. How is your dad's recovery? Back to himself again? I can see you are very close to your dad.

Lita, love your smile and attitude. Hang in there, RADS will give you some relief soon.

ShepK, how are you doing? Is physical therapy helping your recovery?

    Waving to other owlettes!
