Got lucky to get my favorite tech who always does a fantastic job when she is available at the nail salon where I go! got a relaxing mani/pedi and the services I requested were done right! My nails look like someone dropped mint chocolate ice cream on them! The color is actually called Green Island, MN

    Hi Ladies

Is everything ok? There hasn’t been any posts in 6 days. Seems unusual. Even though I have not posted, I read this forum everyday, and keep up with you wonderful women😃😃.

Junie, I saw your PET scan was clear. Wonderful news👍👍👍👍. I read where you’re going to the Mayo Clinic. Not sure if you’ve been before, it’s amazing. I’ve mentioned here before that my ex in laws used to live in Minnesota. My ex father in law broke his leg pretty bad, and he had top notch care. When my ex-husband, daughter, and I were there one summer, we went there. Wow, it was the biggest facility I’ve seen, and well organized. Patients around the world. Unfortutely, I saw babies, and young kids there for various treatments. That was hard, and felt so bad for the worried parents. Hope all goes well for you.

Any updates on Mags?? Sas, I know you keep in touch with her.

I love all the pics, and funny things that are posted.

I hope to read some responses soon.

Home answering phone messages. Talked with Junie for ever so long (great talk). But should have answered calls on the EST vs Pst. Hahaha  Now 12.02PST would have been 9pm. Duh. Call backs tomorrow okay.

Jaymeb - The fact that the PET is clear is good, but the cancer in my T11 IS active again and I need to have this surgery to keep it from spreading elsewhere. The idea of having to travel 2/3 of the way across the country is daunting, but I want the best chance at a good outcome as possible (which of course goes without saying), so I am determined enough to do it.

I leave for Mayo Clinic - Rodchester on August 13th. I heard from Mercy Medical Angels today and they have agreed to provide my plane ticket with the exception of $25.00, the ACS found a hotel that has given me a room rate of $25.00 per night. Plus, I have friends that are assisting me in collecting the money I need for the hotel room, my meals, shuttle to/from the airports & baggage fees. It is very humbling and I am very grateful.

My precious Kirby is having some itching issues on his little back and is very uncomfortable. He even has a bald spot on his back. I have been applying Gold Bond Medicated foot powder which helps some. I read recently that spraying a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar & water on him could help, plus adding some Krill oil & coconut oil to his food, as well as some unsweetened Greek yogurt to his food. His food is an organic, non-GMO, grain-free dehydrated powder of Turkey, sweet potatoes, celery, grated coconut, cranberries and some other fruits & veggies, so I doubt his food is a problem. Also, I have checked him numerous times and he does not have a single flea on him. I am wondering if he got into something at his trainers when he was there a couple weeks ago, but we have no real way of knowing.

Beatmom - So glad you and Mags are able to get together and support one another with good fellowship.

I am waving HI to everyone else and will head to bed now. I am very tired and fighting the urge to go to sleep. Goodnight to all and I hope you rest peacefully!

Omd Loverly, you have no idea what you reminded me of ........When my Mom turned 50, I said to her your a "Half a century old" I was like 16 y/o smart ass. Mom when I turned 50, said those words back to me. I looked at her and said "Have you been waiting all this time for that comeback". We laughed and laughed. Yes it was true. Laugh and laugh. The glint in her eye was so much fun.

OH, I have been allowed to say Dear son Stephen and Jamie are pregnant. Due date is Jan29th. The baby is a boy. My nerdishness was in full swing. I looked right away at the best college 529 mutual fund. Then I realized. What a nerd. Kid is minus 13.(weeks).... 0 ..being birth point.  Duh.OMD who ever heard of that description

When I was nursing Stephen, I had 5 resource moms. I had a problem. I contacted all of them. I was describing to another person the problem and I said I collated their information and made a decision. She pointed out how bizarre my "collated information" statement was.  Serious nerd

Getting nerdy again,  my mom was 34 when she delivered my sister and me.

    I was 34 when I delivered Stephen.

Stephen and Jamie's baby should be delivered when they are 34..

Numbers wise, some very smart person should be able to put a ratio on that. Everyone glazes over on the comparison.

Maybe, I think this way b/c Mom and Dad used to bet the ponies (horse races).

Hmmm some one's going to be offended. It's mathematical based on millions(billions). That three generations of a line are born in the same year of age? I can raise the question, no clue how to get to the answer.

Such a nerd. I like Sheldon a lot.

Shep , it's 6:37, No clue why I'm still up.... other than pure stupidity. Didn't even attempt to sleep. Attempting to sleep often turns into sleep. But I didn't want too. But since it's getting light, I may attempt.

JunieB, when you land in Rochester you go down to get your luggage and then to the traveler desk where they arrange your car into the Mayo campus. You don’t call Uber or a Taxi there. They have that system in place. They are very nice at that airport. It is surprisingly small

Sas: how about the golden anniversary of your eighteenth birthday?

    Hello Ladies,

I had a bit of a monkey wrench thrown into my day on Monday night. I went to the MO for treatment, ran an errand, watered my yard, then went to bed. After laying down I caught a glimpse of my right arm and there were many red splotches. I called my MO and they told me to call an Ambulance and go to the ER.

I had Cellulitis & Bacteremia in December and at the least I have Cellulitis again. The infection spread like wildfire over the next 3 hours, and they admitted me into the hospital.

Now I am waiting for the blood culture results. I have no fever, but my arm is swollen, hot and red. My face was really hot too, plus I was shivering like I was freezing.

I am on 2 antibiotics until the culture results come back. In the meantime I feel awful and my whole body hurts like crazy.

I'll check back when I know more. Bye for now.
