Junie I hope the results get back quickly. What a terrible thing! Oxycodone always knocks me out. But at least you aren’t feeling it while you are sleeping. Get better soon

Oh my goodness
Now, this is what I’m talking about👍👍👍👍.
Sas, Happy Birthday😀😀🎉🎉🎈🎈🍷🍷🍺🍺. You’re gonna be a grandma. Congratulations!!!!!!! My daughter’s birthday is Jan 28th. I always hated the month of January, then that changed of course when Reece was born. And guess what, her dad and I were 34 when she was born. I know your son and daughter in law are sooo excited😃😃😃
Beatmom
Wonderful pic of you and Mags. Thanks so much for sharing. Does her cousin still live with her?
Junie, I’m sorry about the cellulitis. I have to be honest, I’ve heard of it many times, but don’t know exactly what it is, and what causes it? Just glad the docs gave you pain meds, and you slept most of the day. I will checking in to see what you tell us about the blood culture.
Loverly
You’re so witty, and funny. Love the pics for Sas😂😂😂.
Shep
Glad to hear from you. I woke up everyone. Hahahaha
I’m happy to read all your posts. This forum is fun, and I look forward to reading about all you ladies every night.
It’s 1:00 in the morning, and I’m in bed with our 3 cats. Mary, the 23 pound cat is at my feet, Nicole, the crazy one, and Sebastian the growing kitten, are beside me. Mary is really attached to Reece, and usually sleeps with her, and when she’s with her Dad, Mary stays on her bed. Well, the boyfriend came over, and laid back Mary hates when he’s here. She gets jealous, and seems pissed at Reece. I never thought cats can be jealous, and possessive over their owners. It’s so true, our furry friends do own us.😺😺🐶🐶🐈🐈🐕🐕0 -
I hate it when I wake up for no apparent reason and I’m scared. I don’t know/think I was having a bad dream. I just woke up and got scared. Now I’m wide awake. Yay. 1:40 am and I woke up the cat. He’s not real happy with me.

JunieB, I am sorry to hear you are back in the hospital. I'm holding you in my heart and prayers. Hang in there!

Goodmorning all,
It is 4:28 a.m. here in the North West. I was woken up by pain and the nurse brought me some meds. Now I am waiting for it to kick in.
TaRenee - I've had that happen before. For me it was always a bad dream that woke me and my heart would be pounding and I'd have an overwhelming sense of fear. I hope you were able to get back to sleep.
Jazzygirl - It is so good to see you back here. I hope you enjoy your upcoming reunion.
Sas - How exciting that you're gonna be a Grandma!

GET WELL SOON JunieB

Junie: sorry about the cellulitis! Had it twice, no fun getting IV antibiotics. (What are you on?) I don't blame you for sleeping after an Oxycodone.
0 -
Queenie - I was initially on 3 IV antibiotics, but now on IV Zosyn. Because I am limited to using only my left arm for IV access, so they will be inserting a PICC line in my left arm, then I'll receive a daily infusion at the clinic for 10-12 days.

This is the 3rd time I've had this. 2015, last December and now.

Well another monkey wrench. My ANC tanked today. On Monday it was 1.49, today it was at .82
MO ordered an injection of Granix (similar to Nupogen). If my ANC is improved in the morning, they will be able to do the PICC line and they'll discharge me. If not, then I'll be here another day.
I miss my Kirbs terribly, but I know he's been having a blast with his Yorkie buddy named Freddy, at the trainers' house.
Last Monday evening is the last time I watered my Fushia, Hydrangea & Geranium. I had totally forgotten about them for the last few days, and when I remembered a little bit ago I was horrified. Thankfully I have one neighbor who loves plants and she said she go water them this evening. It will be a miracle if they're still alive.
Well that's all for now. I hope everyone is doing well and that you all sleep well.
Goodmorning Feline!

Good almost morning, Owlettes! Just a line to let you know I’m still kickin. I have a constant stream of volunteer sitters as I can’t be left unattended, but although I am a hermit, I do love people one on one.
I’m really concerned about my Rose. I joke about her punishing me for leaving her for 11 days, but this take she’s gotten carried away. She doesn’t even sleep on the bed any more. She’s slept on this bed since we brought her home 11 years ago, and since DH has been gone, she’s slept on his pillows. Now she’s taken to sleeping under the bed. She wants nothing to do with me. If I have her favorite treat, she’ll take it, but anything less appealing she walks away. It’s puzzling, confusing, angering, saddening… have I forgotten something? DH and DCused to get a laugh out of my calling her a manipulative bitch, but it’s literally true.
I have bribed her up onto the bed, and the pillows, we shall see how low long she stays.
Nini, Owlettes, sleep well.

SO sorry I haven’t been on here for a week. Been kind of busy in the house.

Mags, I can relate. DH is in the hospital and the first few days our cat was very affectionate with me and slept on the bed. Now he doesn't want much to do with me. We wonder if he was trying to bribe me to bring DH home, or what? Hope against hope he'll make it home tomorrow (day 10). Rose is probably punishing you for being gone. I hope she relents soon - it's sad when your cat won't cuddle.

Hello All,
The Granix did its job. My ANC went from .82 to 5.46. But I am suffering severely with level 10 bone pain. I've been given Fentanyl & Oxychodone, but with little to no effect. I have also been given Norco w/ Claritin and this helped for about 3 hours. The Claritin is given only once a day. I received a Fentanyl injection about a half hour ago. No help at all. I was told that this pain could last a few days. I am at my wits end.

Oh Junie so sorry to her. Please God you can get some relief ASAP.
I will be away from today on hols and no internet access so please don't think I have forgotten you. XXX

Junie, Hope your pain goes away fast! It sounds extreme. Sympathies.

Thank you Wren & Feline!
Feline - I hope you enjoy your holiday!

Mags- good to hear from you. I think Rose is a cat if I remember correctly. Cats hold grudges for the weirdest reasons. Maybe she is trying to not disturb you too? I hope she comes to hang out with you soon. I can tell you miss her closeness.
Junie- oh hugs sister, this is awful. I have you on the prayer thread.

Well I am happy to report that the nurses I had yesterday were amazing. Wracking their brains on how to relieve my pain. One called the Oncology Unit and they told him to try heat along with the pain meds. Hallelujah!!! It worked. I took Oxychodone about every 3-4 hours and had a heating pad against my back & neck. By this morning I was greatly improved and able to walk and move. So very thankful.
I was discharged from the hospital around 2 p.m. today and was rather loopy, so I layed down and slept in my own bed for about 4 hours. I feel like new person.
I have a PICC line in now and will go to the outpatient infusion clinic everyday for the next 9 days, then I leave for the Mayo Clinic in Rodchester. The PICC will stay in so that Mayo Clinic, if needed, can access my veins. I am so tired of getting stuck 5-7 times to get an I.V. in. So now that I have the PICC in my left arm, blood clots in my left leg and lymph edema in my right arm, my BP now has to be taken on my right lower leg. I've just about run out of limbs for access here.
Jazzygirl - Rest assured I was praying to God for relief, and he provided!
Well now it is 11:44 p.m. and I want to get up to go to Church in the morning. My Church is having its service in one of our local parks. They do this one time per year and I missed last year. Also, anyone who is at the park is welcome to join for the service & lunch. They're serving burrito's this year.
Good night to all, and I hope everyone rests well!

Junie- glad they got your pain under control and you are home and resting.
Take good care sister and wishing you a speedy recovery

Junie, Great news on the pain. I love nurses who come up with solutions.

Hi Junie
I’ve been reading all you have went through the past several days. I’m sorry you had to go through that awful pain. Good idea using the heating pad in addition with the pain meds. Heating pads and cold packs have been my saving grace. Also glad you got some good sleep. You are one strong woman, and have a positive attitude. That goes a long way. Did you make it to church? How’s Kirby?0 -
jaymeb - I did make it to church and it was amazing. Kirby has spent the last week with his trainer being boarded and she is bringing him home today around 11 a.m. We will get to be together for the week, then he goes back to the trainers while I am in Minnesota. I am hoping they will be able to just do the surgery this time instead of me having to fly home then back again. But I won't know until I see the Neurosurgeon next week.

JunieB glad you finally got to go home. Daily infusions can’t be fun tho. Glad you have the picc line in. I hate it when I have infusions. I have tiny veins and they ALWAYS blow out. Thankfully I haven’t had to go often enough to have a line put in. (No complaints from me on that). But hopefully they get you better quickly!
