Waiting for the stuffed mushrooms that I made for a meeting tonight to cool. First time I have ever attempted to make them.

Mommy- oh yum. I love them too. My mother used to make them with all kinds of different fillings. I like creme cheese and garlic the best!

Told my hubby he can take the extra stuffing that was left over from the mushrooms for lunch and maybe some of the mushrooms if there are any left.

    Just for laughs! ;0)

After every flight, UPS pilots fill out a form, called a "gripe sheet" which tells mechanics about problems with the aircraft. The mechanics correct the problems, document their repairs on the form, then pilots review the gripe sheets before the next flight.

Never let it be said that ground crews lack a sense of humor. Here are actual maintenance complaints submitted by UPS pilots ("P") and solutions recorded ("S") by maintenance engineers:

P: Left inside main tire almost needs replacement.
S: Almost replaced left inside main tire.

P: Test flight OK, except auto-land very rough.
S: Auto-land not installed on this aircraft.

    P: Something loose in cockpit
    S: Something tightened in cockpit

    P: Dead bugs on windshield.
    S: Live bugs on back-order.

P: Autopilot in altitude-hold mode produces a 200 feet per minute descent
S: Cannot reproduce problem on ground.

P: Evidence of leak on right main landing gear.
    S: Evidence removed.

    P: DME volume unbelievably loud.
S: DME volume set to more believable level.

P: Friction locks cause throttle levers to stick.
S: That's what friction locks are for.

P: IFF inoperative in OFF mode.
S: IFF always inoperative in OFF mode.

    P: Suspected crack in windshield.
    S: Suspect you're right.

    P: Number 3 engine missing.
S: Engine found on right wing after brief search.

    P: Aircraft handles funny.
S: Aircraft warned to: straighten up, fly right, and be serious.

    P: Target radar hums.
S: Reprogrammed target radar with lyrics.

    P: Mouse in cockpit.
    S: Cat installed.

P: Noise coming from under instrument panel. Sounds like a midget pounding on something with a hammer.
S: Took hammer away from midget

Balloon fiesta starts tomorrow. I am lucky to have many right over my patio regularly!

This one was in the past few months. Will share any goodies with you I get (including published videos from the location TV stations). It is something to see!

1am and I’m wide awake. Instead of just laying here, I think I might get up and clean the bathroom. No sense in just looking at the ceiling, right

Had a great evening last night. Hubby and I went to see Alice Cooper in concert last night at a local theater. First time seeing him in concert.

Mommy - I'm so jealous!! I read a story a long time ago about Mae West & Bob Hope attending a Cooper concert in the 70s to see what all the hoopla was about (Cooper being considered radically different from the norm back in the day). Apparently after the first set they both agreed that 'oh man, does this kid have 'it', nailed the showmanship & talent'. You know it's a good thing when such different generations/genre agree on artistic ability. I bet it was an awesome concert!

DD2 took me to Elton John's Farewell Yellow Brick Road show. The man knows how to put on a concert! Took no break other than a bit of banter every know and then and did a costume change on stage that was so well choreographed that I didn't pick up on it.

Kathinc- I saw Elton in Vegas last year (Feb 2017). His Yellow Brick Road is one of my favorites of all time. I bet that tour was great. He puts on a show like no other.

I liked watching Alice Cooper in the Dark Shadows movie with Johnny Depp. If you have not seen that, it is great (especially if any of you were old enough to watch the original Dark Shadows show in the late 1960s).

The concert was a blast! Did some of his old songs and some of the new ones. The crowd went nuts when he did "Feed My Frankenstein". Encore was "School's Out" to which the crowd was showered with confetti, streamers and giant balloons. For a guy who's 70, he's still got it! Amazed he never took one break in a two hour show even with several costume changes! Well worth the price of the tickets!

Mommy- the old rockers from the 70s are the best. Most of them put on a great show.

I am going to see Todd Rundgren next month!

Beautiful balloon shot Jazzy! There is science that shows looking upwards is good for mental health - those balloons passing overhead will keep you smiling!

Jazzy, you are right. Even the ones from the '80s like Rick Springfield are good. Saw him back in '09 and Survivor in '13.

Jazzy, I love hot air balloons. Rode in one back in 2004 when my husband and I went to San Diego. I had a blast, he wasn't a fan of it.

We were in Colorado Springs for their Labor Day Lift Off last year. Here are a couple of the more interesting ones.

Edited to say: Sorry for the size. Resizing didn't take.

Kathinc- the balloons on the top and bottom have been here before, I have seen them at fiestas in the past. The old Mother Hubbards shoe is a hard one to fly very far. The special shapes balloons are my favorite.

Unfortunately the glow got cancelled tonight as the winds were up. They have them most every night so hopefully more luck going forward. There is a cold front coming in tonight.

It's 5:48 a.m. EST and I'm still up. I've had this problem with insomnia since starting on the Letrozole/ Ibrance. I'm tired but just do not fall asleep. And I've taken at least 1 mg of Xanax. oh boy.

Great balloons ladies! What a fun thing to witness. Only ever seen a hot air balloon once, by accident, spotted from our back garden way in the distance on a summer afternoon. Took a photo and when examined on the PC in close up the balloon was advertising something, but still nice to see drifting by. This is the pic below.

One thing I learned this year after hearing about many of the balloons coming from Brazil every year is that they are big maker and seller of hot air balloons. That is one pretty nice thing to be involved in, as I understand they average for cost to be about $300K for each balloon. Then there is the insurance on top of that because accidents do happen. Hot air balloon rides average around $300/hr per person.

People often ask if I have ever been up in a hot air balloon? The answer is "not yet". My nephew may be visiting next year and celebrating a milestone birthday here as well so I am planning to go and take him up for his birthday. I am going to start saving now.....

Amica - I know your frustration. I take Xanax at bedtime every night and sometimes I am still up until dawn myself. Then I'll sleep like 4-5 hours and back up.

Jazzygirl - Very pretty pics of the balloons!

thanks for replying JunieB - I laid in bed tonight a couple of hours, now here it is 5 a.m. again and I just couldn't sleep. When I do fall asleep problem is I then spend much of the day sleeping, I'm on a bad schedule. It's hard to turn it around. I've had this problem even when I'm not on any cancer treatments, but I do think these meds make it worse.

But I do enjoy the beautiful hot air balloon pics :)
