Thanks SAS for letting us know about Mags. God Bless her!

I am back in the hospital with cellulitis in my arm. More IV antibiotics.

Jazzy - We had 81 degrees yesterday. We're having a nice warm fall so far, but night time gets into the 40's.

May she rest in peace. She was such a gentle soul. My condolences to her cousin. Mags couldn't have had a better caretaker.

Very sad to wake up and find that Mags has passed on. She was ready and waiting to go to her heavenly home. Very strong Christian woman. I hadn’t been over for 3 weeks....we had champagne! She witnessed about her strong love of Jesus and was eagerly waiting to see her David again. Her cousin was the best ever.

💔🤲 another gutted feeling. Another sister filled with beauty lost... I’ll never understand any of this.. no matter how hard I try, I guess I better do a better job at learning how to say goodbye.

    Love you Magda! ~M~

We had seen each other on several threads. We officially met and had a nice exchange on the Completely scary topic: How do we die? thread.

I'm playing flute at a wedding today. I will light candles for Mags, Patty, and my Mom.

The only thing I had planned was to have my hair trimmed on Saturday but it turned rather interesting very fast after grabbing my morning coffee.

My sweet Princess kitty was staring right up at the kitchen counter by the sink. I'm used to that from her but when she jumped up there and started staring at the dish strainer and I found it rather odd. So there I was trying to figure out why she was doing that when I lifted the dish strainer and I found a tiny field mouse under the strainer. I put it back down and grabbed the cat and screamed to my hubby about the mouse became down and we tried to catch it alive to put it back outside. Well it rocketed off the counter and under the fridge. We figured it would find its way back outside without our intervention. It didn't happen like that, instead a short time later, we heard this loud thud and my hubby looks into the kitchen to see what the noise was and to our surprise, Princess had caught it. We had a hack of a time chasing her to get it from her. The little brat finally dropped the dead thing right under our bed! Hubby got rid of it right away.

I keep my house very clean but my house is pretty old, so I know that the only reason that it got in here was because it was cold outside and it was looking for warmth. We have found a mouse inside before but it was during a hot stretch in the summer.

We had a parish member die of breast cancer yesterday morning. She fought it for a long time. I will leave her friends to grieve, realizing that those who are also my friends can't deal with my stuff right now.

So glad you have a cat. I would rather have a dog, but cats do have some uses.

I have been sleeping from 9 PM to 4 AM, with an hour or so up and drinking water, on the internet, and vaping on CBD. Then back to bed to finish the night. If I stay up, I become a walking zombie around noon. Will probably ask for something to help me sleep.

Susan, it is a big decision, but if you are not feeling good and it is becoming a hassle, there's nothing wrong with retiring!

Thank you so much for posting her obit, Elaine.

Mommy, sorry i am laughing. I have 3 cats, 4 dogs, and not a one would bother with a mouse... lazy beasts one and all.

JWoo, mine can be a stinker, but I love her. This was her first time catching a mouse.

Mommyof2, I am very proud of your Princess. She did her job! Poor little mouse...you tried to save it from the jaws of Princess, but it wouldn’t cooperate. Years ago, we had a small mouse get inside the house. I opened the pantry door and it ran across the kitchen to hide behind the stove. I jump on the kitchen table screaming to my husband...there’s a mouse in the house😂...all the while my kitty is sitting there watching this all unfold. I had an inkling that the mouse was her play toy. We set mouse traps and could not catch it until we went away one weekend and took the cat with us. That did the job

We had planned on using traps to get it if we couldn't get it outside while it was still alive, but Princess beat us to it.

    Hello everyone!

Elainethere - Thank you for posting Mags obituary. She sounds like she was a very talented & gracious woman. Sorry we have lost yet another one of our sisters!

Hello Feline - How are you doing?

I have been away from this thread for awhile now. I was in the hospital for cellulitis of my right arm, again. This is the 4th time in 10 mos., so my MO has taken me off of the Ibrance and when I am done with the antibiotics I will be starting a new drug called Kisqali. My elbow is still hurting so I am having an MRI tomorrow to rule out Osteomyelitis of my elbow.

I finally made it to the new PT today. He is going to try and help me strengthen my abdominal, pelvic and hip muscles to give me greater support for my spine. I tend to slump when I sit or walk, which puts extra stress on my Thoracic/Lumbar junction.

During todays appt. Kirby was sitting on the floor beside me and when the PT pressed the button to raise the table I was laying on, the table made a sound that caused Kirby to seemingly become concerned about me and he was whining loudly there on the floor. I had to keep telling him I was okay, but he still had a perplexed and worried look on his little face. Once the table stopped Kirby quieted down and he sat back down. Once I was sitting up again, Kirby had his chin resting on my shoe. This was the first time he'd been in a PT office.

M0mmyof2 - What a surprising start to your morning. Although you did try to catch the mouse and put it outside, Princess did her job. Good girl!

Susan3 - Sorry to hear that your are not feeling well enough to work anymore. I have always been amazed at your strength to work and participate in the runs with your daughter. It is all about quality of life though and keeping that in mind, if working isn't allowing you the quality of life you want, then maybe you are ready to retire.

JWoo - Sounds like a house of fun with your pet menagerie.

I guess that is all for now. I hope you all sleep well!
