Jan- smoking is hard to give up, very addictive habit. I know several sisters here who are struggling to do so and they know it will improve their overall health. If your friend does not have the desire to make the change though, not much you can do. I have been through this with people who were told by their doctors to give up smoking and just never would or could....

love the pilot mechanic thing...very funny

Saw alice cooper years ago. He was young then.....and so was I...lol great show

Sleeping issues.....I am in palliative care now, my nurse put me on temazepam. 15 mg. Sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't. But it never makes me groggy in morning. So I will take the 50% better in sleeping. Could probably go to a higher dosage, but I hav e no side effects at this doseage, so I will leave it for no

  • Susan best wishes with the care, I hope you have the very best.

    Everyone have a great day

Battling a flea infestation on my furbabies. The fleas are super bad here this year. I got some flea sprays that are organic for both of them, since their flea shampoos were doing a minimal job on killing the fleas. Sprayed their bedding down too. Will use it on the carpet too.

Feline, That was hilarious! Southern grandma to the core. I've heard the "it's my job to spoil them" before.

Just got up to a cold snap. Looks like Fall has finally arrived, had to turn on the heat.

  • Hi Wren, my (Southern) DH sent that to me while he was at work. That's 'cos he knew I would recognise him in a composite of G'ma and cop-out Dad! (Me of course left to be big bad ol' Mom!)

Wow Jazzy isn't it a bit early for snow in your area? I hope you have your mittens & scarf ready. I sure hope we don't get hit with snow here this winter. Our last big snow storm was in Dec. 2016.

feeilinfil, this is what I go through with my daughter. Soooo funny. I don't back down. They do take the first a little to seriously. That's why we are here

JunieB- yes, it is early although I have seen snow at this time of the year before. We may be having a colder wetter winter this year, but need the moisture so it is okay too. I am still digging out my winter items!
