Sassy- class was actually very good today. Something I have been wanting to learn for my work for awhile, how to create a Sharepoint site for my projects. I will have access to play around with the software for awhile so I can work on creating, changing, managing things so when I have to do it, I will be ready. The earlier note was just to pop in and say hi on my break!
Now preparing for one of a series of meetings I have for new work beginning tomorrow through next week. Wish me luck!

Jazzy you nailed it though I was off on a roll.HIO off tonight for a quick visit with dear cousin. Her DIL and she brought out all the things they thrifted today DEar cousin found some sweet plates that I have to search. I picked up my first piece in the pattern about three weeks ago. Sassy do you have a separate home for all your glass treasures? Where do you put it all? Saw a chair in a thrift store today that I would have bought and thankfully it was already sold! Saved!
Sorry Beachbum.. sounds Coooolllllldddd!!!! chattering.. I remember my roommate taking us to see her parents home on the Niagra river and it was winter time. All the ice flows were making ominous creaking groaning sounds and it was a jumble of white river, white covered trees and hills and ice sculpted flows. I was just mesmerized; I had never seen anything like that river groaning and crunching it's way half frozen. It was scary but so beautiful against the light blue skies. The forces of nature at work. Where you live sound lovely.

Rosie, I have only gotten this crazy since the BC,2009. With the doc appointments I thrift. Very little time before BC. Working 12 hour shifts. That were really 13-14. Next day was a bed day or two. Then in Jan2013, a NIL. Who had nothing girlie was visiting. They had money, but she wasn't raised with stuff. Her family had essentials. I went through my cupboards. She got bunches that I had thrift but could part with. Plus, my nephew asked for something from his grandparents. His mom who handled the estate, didn't give him a single thing of his Grandparents. He got multiple that day. What happened to me was, I found it a great deal of fun to unexpectedly gift the treasures. I've almost completed collections for 4couples. That means minimum they're are at least enough serving pieces and or glasses to have a group. No mish mash.
yes incoming is exceeding outflow., but does give me even more flexibility on choosing to gift. There are a few pieces I wish I hadn't parted with, but they went to a good home LOL. I've started to call my linen cupboard the magical glass cupboard.
thinking of running back to the beach with a piece for DNIL. She is into old things. I have a butter dish and dome that I think she would appreciate., AND use. Tonite she got table linen that was MY Mary's table clothe and 12 napkins pale pink. Gorgeous from midcentury

Had a bad day yesterday, between losing power at the house til the afternoon, then it was off to the PS's office where they had to do some revisions on the incisions because I started getting seroma fluid leaking through them on both sides. They got rid of the little flap that was in that corner where it was leaking on the right side (think they called it a "dog ear") and they took care of the areas where it was draining on the left side and pushed out whatever fluid remained on the left side. They had me go over to my BS's office to have them check the right side to see if there was a large amount of fluid on the right side. They aspirated the last of the fluid from the right which amounted to 12 ccs. BS was glad to see I have the start of a getting my "girls" back, she joked with me at my last check-up that when I come back in May, she wanted to see that I have my "girls" again. My BS is such a riot, hubby thinks the world of her! I'm back on antibiotics for 10 days. Needless to say, with all of this, my latest fill got delayed. Was so sore last night from all the poking and work they did that I had to take one of my pain pills. Had to cover the area where they had put a clear dressing and steri-strips on the left side with a gauze pad and tape because I was still getting a little fluid from under the dressing. So far it looks like the fluid has stopped on the left side.
Hubby wants me to just take it easy today with everything I had to endure yesterday. He even told me to order my plastic canvas kits that I wanted and to order something for the "kids" from Drs. Foster and Smith where we get stuff for them occasionally.

Morning you guys! Thanks Rosie.... Yes I did that once too! I stealthily went into this back yard, and rescued this dog, chained to the dog-house, and he was sooo excited to be rescued. I stole that guy! And I found him a better home! We are their guardian angels....!
I'll be back later.... getting ready for another storm..... Wait...... How can you "get ready" for another damn snow storm???? Stay in?
And I'm sorry you guys are having some hurtful stuff going on.... I wish we could just all get together in some warm dining-room in some big ritzy hotel, and sit and talk altogether where it's warm.... in front of a fire-place, and eat and drink and talk all day..... And there would be soft music, and people waiting on us....

With Foots and her Dog and Blondie without her cast!

Chevy- that room is so beautiful. I especially love yellow flowers for spring.
I bought this pot of tulips the other day and they are fully open now and have an aroma that just whispers "spring!"

Got my orders placed and just sitting here and relaxing. Both orders should be going out either today or tommorrow!
No sign of problems so far with the "girls" today. Just the revision on the right one is itching like a demon, I'm leaving it be!
Sas, Thanks for the link.

Hopeful, sorry meant to respond a couple of days ago. Yes, it would be fun to see what a needy researcher would pay for the chocolate project. What do you think of all the new things coming out about coffee, statins, cholesterol. Would have liked to been in the Board rooms of the statin drug companies. Wonder what their stocks are doing? BTW I talked with the gal that made the cake. It was all off the shelf YAY. Box cake. Frosting was a chocolate with chocolate chips. I can do this

TO All this has been in the news recently. This link to UCLA presents the "Hygiene Hypothesis" in a well thought out easy to read sequence. Thoughts re: this concept have been tossed around for decades. There are many studies being conducted and published to prove the hypothesis. One study, for example, showed that children that came from home where dishes were hand washed versus washed in the dishwasher had less allergies etc.The consequences of all these research studies coming out in close time to each other, is going to lead to a major change in how children are raised. I'd have to do a different search to see what is being done with adults. The industries related to convincing people to sanitize everything are NOT going to be happy. The second and third links identify several studies in each article.

This is on peanut allergies. It's all over the news right now. I chose this link b/c she included much of the data in an understandable way. This research should be passed onto anyone you know with small children so they can talk with their doc.
http://news.sciencemag.org/biology/2015/02/eating-peanuts-prevents-allergy
This is an article about the difference in allergies statisticsin children with eczema and what all...... Dishwashers vs handwashing., fermented foods. It's a little technical, but you will get the gist of it.

Hello friends
I just posted this on the stage 4 triple negative board, but it seems so silent... (almost spooky). Here it's much more fun:)
So
On the lung/pleural mets topic - I just had my fourth chemo (carboplatin/ gemzar). It looks like it is working because there is almost no fluid in my lungs. The surgeon said he might remove the drain tube in 2 weeks yaay!
I am hoping this will bring some encouragement to others that might struggle with the same issue!
Patty- I'm so sorry you're in the hospital again. I hate them. I hope you have friends and family around. You certainly have us! Keep us updated!
Hugs to all

Ok Sas, here goes. No idea if these photos will work, or be good enough. These are relish plates that I have thrifter in the last year.

The second one looks like the glass you were referring to.
I have 2 candy dishes that are old, has the purple hue from age. I will show you those, maybe you are familiar with it

I have asthma too, have had it since I was a child, although it is much better here in the dry desert. I feel for anyone who has breathing problems. Keeping Foots in my prayers as she has some things checked out today.

Yes, Sassy, and that's one piece I don't have. Never knew there were more.
I have another mystery for you. Knowing I love roses, and my history with Occupied Japan, DH bought me this set of china for my birthday years ago and I cannot find provenance for it. Here's the pattern and mark:
