Day started out nice but has gone straight to Yuckville. Found out what is wrong with the car now, a sensor shorted. More money out the door! Sick of car repairs, hope this is the last time!
The only bright spot we have had all day is that we have been seeing some melting here

MammaRay, congrats on being a bolua ( sp ? ) I just recently learned what that was...It must have been an amazing experience. I have never watched someone else give birth.

A friend from childhood just called. I have not talked to her in several years, my sister told her of my Cancer nightmare. ( not her story to tell ) but that's life. Anyway, she wants to do a trip, we talked about Zion Nat. Park. She is doing a Carribean Cruise in June, she said I was welcome to join the group. Never been on a cruise, something to think about.

it's sleeting here supposed to change to snow 5-8 inches all together. Ugh our town is def not prepared for this barbaric weather. Oh please don't let me get iced in at the hospital. Hoping to go home tomorrow.

the weather here in Seattle has been great, no rain expected for the next week. I go home tomorrow. Here's Seattle skyline with mt rainier. See all that snow? Not! February was the driest on record. No snow pack just like California. This is from the space needle.

i was 72 yesterday -- had a great day. my dd made me some oven fried chicken thighs, garlic & sour cream mashed potatoes, brussel sprouts, corn, and chocolate cake with chocolate frosting (almost enough chocolate). dh got me a big hershey bar, dd & ds got me an extra set of dinner forks and salad forks - they seem to disappear or dissolve or the dogs bury them or something. anyway, i was thrilled to get a new supply - hee hee. got calls from my sister in oregon & my son in alaska. it was an "up" day all around!
mommaray - we've lived in ohio - in berea & proctorville and enjoyed it both times. welcome to the group - i'm kind of a lurker but i read this almost every day.

See Phylliwhocan'ttypeeither, is one of our co-horts who is even more loosely stung than either EYE or Cammi! She used to residence at "THE BIG HOUSE" with some "friend" named BIG ALICE.... I think it was....
She was IN there for breaking laws of the land... and other places.
Maybe since she found her way back, she will stay longer, and raise even more havoc with us HERE, until we report her... just a matter of time.
She thinks SHE is old! She don't know nothin'!

Good morning, Chevy. I'm mostly always here around this time just lurking and having my morning coffee. I'll have to shower and get ready for work in a few minutes. Those are some real nice cowboys you got there. I think the last ones a bit old for me lol. Then again the first two are probably a I bit young for me (#cougar).

Hello, at Spookie' s , having fun. Can't see too well. Forgot reading glasses. Had biopsy at Moffitt yesterday. Nice folks. Spookie took me on a driving tour of Dunedin. Then points north and south from Tarpon Springs to Clearwater. Went to the oldest brewery in florida. Really only had one beer.
Found three pieces of Needed glass. One completes the set for the newlyweds. Finally a year and four months.

Chevy - sign me up for one of those cowboys. Preferably not the last one but at this point well he isn't looking too bad either.
Update ; they are doing a test ( maybe Eg something) can't remember the name but will put tube and camera down my esophagus to tummy to look around. Had hard night again last night and woke up the same. Vomiting ugh ! I can't even remember how long I've been at the hospital. Maybe 15 days. Ugh. On the positive note the sun is shining. We had sleet and snow last night accumulation 6-8 inches. And two weeks ago the same. Go away winter ! I am ready to get my bikini on and drive the young boys crazy. I don't however recommend the diet I have been on. Bouncing right at or below the 100lb mark so after the test dr said eat anything you want and as much as you can. Finally a rx for ice cream , mashed potatoes , choc cake. Yum yum. Dh brought me twizzlers ( one of my favorite candy ) , Rice Krispie treats and gummy bears. Don't think Ive had that much junk food since trick or treating as a child. It's sitting here taunting me. Hurry and get the test done. Seriously doubt they are gonna let me go home today. :-(
I am still happy to be alive, to be loved fiercely by my family , to have a dh that God must have hand picked for me,to have the most wonderful children ever to have great friends and Comrads here on bco and I am anxiously waiting to get out of here and enjoy life to the fullest. This will not keep me down. Nope I am way stronger than that.

OMD!!!!!!!!!! FIRST of all, I LOVE that Staghorn FERN! Is that ONE, or a whold slew of them! Geez you guys, is there ANYTHING you can't grow there? I had one once, but this climate is just such a pain, to keep anything GOING!

MamaRay.... Mine didn't want to talk about it either.... but I kept hinting, that I was going to do it either with, or without his consent.... I just kept it simple. Just called the cremation place near us, talked to them, then told him I was going to pay for both of us, but then he decided to go with me, and paid for his....! Not that much.... like $1,300 apiece I think....
My folks were cremated, then buried near their home in Cali, but my Brother and I don't live there... so we can't go see them.... My Grandma is here... she had paid for the whole she-bang, but same thing.... no-one goes to see her grave....
Maybe just give it a rest awhile.... I SEE what you are doing, but he just isn't THERE yet..... As long as he knows.... things will be okay.... Just enjoy every living minute you have.... we all should.... but don't go gettin' into any TRUBBLE.... like me and the rest of some of these STRAMPS would!

I would be jealous of your prescription to eat anything and everything- the add pounds diet, but what you have had to endure no thanks! Spookie is adorable. Chevy we used to have a back and white cat named Patches when I was a kid. He would run crazed through the house fast as he could run. While he was running full on right at you, last minute he'd be up on his hind legs hoping and boxing with his paws and then dash past before running into your legs. My Dad used to mutter..."there is something very wrong with that animal..." Pretty comical I thought. I think Patches was just bored..
Boy cremation is pricey where you are 1,300 each? I can get cremated here for 700.00. No headstone, no plot.. forest bound. Pretty cheap. I have not paid for it yet. I should; DH doesn't do these things, plays endless games.... fantastically irritating.
Another lovely sunny Day here in the Pacific Northwest... maybe climate change is for real. Gotta get the dogs out for a walk.
