Rosie, the craziness of the everything goes back to page 180 there abouts. I was being stalked. I came and made it my home social thread b/c I started the thread. The Mods protected me from the two stalkers coming here. My safe place. Before that it truly was mostly a USA insomniacs night thread. What was immense fun in the early days of the thread is the southlanders-----below the equator---Australia &  Auckland were here b/c it was their daytime. In order to understand all the references to what appears to be private stuff----you would have to read hundreds of pages as it's one of BCO's fastests moving threads along with Warm and Fuzzies which I started in April last year. Multiple times you have identified the reason why on each thread why they do so well---upbeat and support---whatever the need--

For real stalkers or just teasing? ick... It took me a while to figure out some of the bantering and I just wanted the newbies to "heads up." I like reading the posts - fun. I especially like to hear when folks visit places and share their experiences. Vicarious traveling... or show things they do. Like Smarty's quilting, since I don't and I admire the craft and skill it takes. Then just talking about little things of interest... like brats who live where it's 70 and up. They said on the news it might hit 70 on Sunday. I'll believe it when I feel it. Be well!

FOR those going to Ma111 death and dying thread-----please......it's not to get involved in the discussion......unless that's the need...........I'm suggesting looking for the info that you can use in your life. Bon(Bonnie) did a synopsis of the first 25 pages that is amazing. Scanning the pages for useful info from page one to last look page 56. is okay, but don't dwell on unneeded info. Every suggestion here or there may cause you to have a thought that is relevant to you.

    MammaRay----DH isn't ready------doesn't mean you can't prepare

Around 1979, Dh and I flew to San Fran. I wouldn't go unless we had a Will. DH picked a guy out of the phonebook. He looked like a character out of Saturday Night Live. BUT got what I needed to feel secure. Learned allot since.

I may have been ahead of the be prepared thought in 1979, but was learned from 9/11 was---that many were not prepared.

Changes on the State and Federal level were done to make sure that we can protect our families by passing laws. The federal government did so, the states followed.

Making wrong choices based on really nice laws and really nice thoughts can mess with your life. Say,  I put dear son on my property to avoid probate. What can happen is if he is sued and a judgment is against him, because he has an interest(big time legal term) in my property, I can have my home taken from me to satisfy a judgment against him. For example, Ds gets in a car accident and he his sued. The plantiff seeks all assets as redress. DS is on my deed. I'm an asset. Property gone. Also, example, If have DS on my bank account as a co-signor that can be attached to a lawsuit against him. Same with any mutual fund. But if he's identified as the beneficiary it's not attached.

A better approach is a Trust with a Will, or at the minimum a Will.

The way to work the system, centuries old law, have a Durable Power of Attorney DPOA

Rosie, the stalking got so bad I provided the Mods with the Florida law on cyber stalking. It worked.. I'm secure here.

Smarrty, LOL on Chris-----Trends on names.  How it's worked over time. Right at the time that my relatives were being named, Mary was popular because of George M Cohan's song Mary.

  • I'm going to jump in on the subject of legal matters - read or not, as you wish.

A little knowledge can get you in a world of trouble. The $$ spent with a good atty. can save you, your family and your heirs from a world of unintended consequences.

If you're concerned about the costs, make lists in advance of your appt. of what your goals are for the documents, what items you'd want to go to whom, what particular concerns you have, etc. Talk with the atty. by phone (or his/her asst.) before hand to find out what to bring that will be most helpful, what discussions to have with each other.

I am not an atty. but am close to several. I have also seen first hand what can happen when people think they will save $$ by drafting documents themselves. If you choose to do that, at least plan to have them reviewed by an atty. who can check for issues you may have overlooked.

End of lecture. I'm not trying to sell anyone on anything, just suggesting that good legal advice can be a very good investment.

On a lighter note, we continue to have the entire nation's quota of spring weather here in the Pacific Northwest. I am going to have to sort through my seeds this weekend and do some pre-soaking and sowing. There is a reasonable chance that I will only have to plant my annuals once this year - usually they drown the first couple of times. This year the bunnies may be able to dine on them for Easter.

Patty, your attitude is amazing! Hoping docs can find some relief for you - and soon!

Sassy, thinking? Too late to think? About what?

Ok, so far behind, I'm just lurking. My life, the soap opera As the Stomach Turns, continues. Or, maybe that's Patty's line?

    Ciao....

WOW, Wow and on and on.............Tinnitus down to as close to absent. as near absent could be. Silence. yes , silence-----waiting for the noise. Thinking why isn't there noise. Am I dying? Okay, it's been several minutes.

    Tinnitus-------a sound--------lots of different things.

Last month has been particularly, irritable. Wouldn't have mentioned it exceptttt....silence.. How precious silence.. Mentioned to Spookie last night how irritating it was, and if I was home what I would do to try to make it less.

    Now silence.

Only happened a few times in the last 17 years. Always tried to figure out why, so, I could repeat whatever caused the silence. Never could. How delicious.

Chevy & Spookie know you both have tinnitus----------oh so wish the silence stays

    Dutchy-----------no clue---let us know RE:SOFT trial?

Phyliss-------oh Thanks, so glad to see you here :)--------Of course I did something wrong. Left the band aid on too long --with my skin sensitivities should have taken off way before--now  hours and it was screaming at me. Did soap & water.---hope

2         Maddy---thinking turned to lost the thought, but the lack of the tinnitus absence continues at least to 2:37 EST--cool, so very cool. every moment..............

Morning gals! PEPPERMINT !!! I think we can all learn something here, from YOU! We are all blessed to have YOU in our lives... to see how you handle things!

I think I would just plumb fall over, and stay there, if I were in your shoes sometimes.... You GO girl!

And you NAILED the picture posting thing! YOU got snow in ARKANSAS? I think you are in Utah or somewhere.... Not Arizona. Yes, your family is just precious! Isn't ARKANSAS somewhere South? Okay never mind... I didn't do well with State Locations....

I'll post a picture of one I took yesterday.... of our piles of snow... Yeah.... I'm about DONE with Winter too...

Beaches.... I never thought of donating my whole body.... and then getting the ashes... but I'm doing a pretty good job of using it all up anyway... I AM a donor on my drivers license.... but I can't imagine what I will have LEFT, the older I get.... :).... Maybe .... wait.... nope, not my ears.... or my teeth... I'll think of something tomorrow...

Sass! You and Spookie should not go out un-supervised! What is this with "oh boy did we do some visit packing." Is that a new way of talking while you are packing?

You are talking in code again.....

And why is Spookie blushing? You TWO!!! I get embarrassed even LISTENING to both of you~!

And then she goes on telling us about things that we don't even KNOW about. And is "thingy" some sort of new term that is in Websters New World Dictionary? That's all I want to know.....

And further ON, she says.... FFFF!!!! And I can't even say OMG? I have to say OMD???

You guys.... don't pay any attention here.... I'll have a talk with her, and see if I can calm this girl down......

Oh sure! And Spookie is covering for her.... "Aunt Viola".... No she didn't. See? They ARE in cahoots together!

Okay, now further on.... she straightens up.... And DAMN that girl knows what she is talking about! EYE even understood her! Can't you just GO there Sass, and give her Doc's a talking to?

I have HEARD of that stomach thing happening in dogs, and yes, they ARE in severe pain! Well.... between us, we will probably figure out just exactly is wrong with Peppermint.

And Dutchess is trying to explain what Sassy said! HaaaaaahHHHHHaa! Like that's gonna happen.

Smarty.... BEAUTIFUL picture! And from the PLANE yet... I could tell...

Oh? And PhyllidoctorNO has her own opinion here? M & M's???? Yes, we KNOW you have no licenses.... you barely even have your DRIVERS license. Or did you lose that too?

M&M's???? She's not serious, is she? You guys don't listen to her.... She has one foot on the ground and one foot on the door-step of the big-house.

Hah! Dutchess called her "phyllom&mresearcher"..... I get it.... Like Phyllirinkadink........ Nah.... it's okay..... she doesn't mind.

No Rosie! Don't go asking Sass something she will tell you! She will get into TRUBBLE..... And then we are in TRUBBLE..... All of us!

Okay.... I have to go now.... enough of my expert advice.... Hah!

Yes Spookie.... like this one.... We saw on with a huge Staghorn fern hanging from it.! Your Staghorn is BEAUTIFUL! And I see Spanish Moss hanging from it! I used to go across the street from Sheri, by the golf course, and pull the moss out of the trees to take home! It was soooooo beautiful.

Then she wouldn't let me.... said it was full of bugs and things.... So I bought some "artificial" moss.... to put on top of my plants.... Ha!

We were in LA years ago, thought it would be neat to bring a bag full home. We were all itching so bad we threw the moss out. I've heard it can be nuked, to kill the bugs but have never done it.

Sassy- stalkers here? I have suspected scammers out here. Know of one person on another thread asking BCO sisters about sending money for someone's funeral. Made me suspicious.

Holy chit--trying to figure what anyone is talking about amazes me or rather confuses me.

But PhiloM&M--I have done that test repeatedly, it is an under-rated way of being happy, I've done it so many times they actually melted in my hands--little did I care.

Oh don't get Sas started on old subjects--I bet she can tell u what page everything is on too--that always amazes me Sas how u can do all u do and remember all of what u read.

I'm running so late on doing things today, just a crazy day--it started with my boss texting me--know I don't text, but tried and had to do it over and over--he's such a brat--I finally emailed him and called him a effin brat--he loves to aggravate me for no reason, well OK I give him reasons, but I'm way older and he should respect that.

Phone ringing, yes not in my ears but for real.

  • Chevyboy
    Chevyboy Posts: 10,258

What is she talking about? I mean what "test"? And "something" melted in her hands???

Man, she IS hot! I've heard that before, but didn't think she would actually SAY that in public.... meaning HERE! And she says EYE am loose!

And you attempt to text? Hah! I hate that too little grass-hopper! The words just keep mis-spelling on their own! Without ME doing anything, like you would notice..... but I only like to email.... Texting is for kids anyway.... they do it while driving.... We should ground them all, and take away their drivers licenses.... like that would keep them from driving.

Just DON'T call your boss nothing! I mean NOTHING like THAT? That borders on dis-respectrul.... and we KNOW about that....

About the being older.... never admit to being "older".... we have "lived longer".... therefore we are more knowledgable, caring, loving and extremely beautiful..... any questions?

  • good afternoon ladies.

Spookie / so jealous of your white winter pic. Gonna print that off when I get home and put it in my motivation board.

Chevy - your snow pic ...ummm not so pretty.

Phyllis - you are a legend around here. Have heard so many great things about you. It's obvious you got some fans here. Finally I get to see your humor. Stick sround.

Cami - I used to hate texting but now love it. For those people who keep you on the phone forever it's a great way to type back just one word and let them ramble on why I do other things. Also my short term memory is so bad I can go back on texting conversations to reminds self so I don't look like an idiot asking and saying the same thing repeatedly. Makes me look like I have it more together than I do.

SAS - I am a little embarrassed to say I went ahead with the gastric emptying-dump test. Just so want to find the problem so we can get a solution. The test showed moderate delay per nurse. After 4 hours still had 50% of the eggs with due in them in my tummy. Of course dr gone for the day but he said earlier if it showed this that there are several meds to choose from for an easy pic or it could be diabetes related. Never been checked fit diabetes but seriously don't believe that's the problem. So don't give up on me. I always love your knowledge and advice. (Feel like a lilttle kid who's gone bhund her mommas back and chewed gum ).

While waiting on test they had sex in the city on the tv. I haven't ever seen it Wow. No fair to tease us with these half naked super hot dudes when I can't do anything about it. Dh better watch out when I get home. :-).

Can't remember anything else but hugs and hellos to all I missed.

    Hootie hoo

Great news Jazzy and Patty. Patty are you home tomorrow? Very cute photos of your family DS/DH playing in the snow in Arkansas.

Chevy- well DH finally did it. He decided on a car. A Honda civic in grey. Such a guy. It's a comfy car and has all the cool stuff.. back up cameras and nifty side mirrors, green gas mileage and fast mileage. I was surprised at how much leg room there was. So finally.. a decision was made! Now he has to figure out all the buttons... :-)

    Goodnight owlettes.
