Reminds me of when I was a kid, an Iranian in UT in the 70's. Talk about sticking out like a sore thumb back in those days. Our house was tp'd, egged, tomatoed, you name it. Bullying, and at school for me. Was horrible.

For us, yes. But watching Charlotteville this past weekend, seems not. So much hate. I don't get it.

Good morning friends- getting myself going here upon my return to the Land of Enchantment (or Dysfunction, depends on the day). Got in without problem yesterday afternoon and there were some big t-storms and soaking rains last night! Something great to come home too. I heard there was a big dumper last Friday while I was away, and a lot of power outages but all seemed okay here. I have a friend who checks on my house while I am away and the only reported problem was a feral cat that was found camping on my patio table and knocked over and broke a little figurine. My friend fixed it for me, which was not necessary but kind of her. Jazzy leaves and the cats move in!

The time with my sister and partner was good. I got to see first hand some of the changes that are going on, and got my sister out to have a break from the stress of home life and to talk about things. She is going to get some more in home care for her as well. The medications being used keep changing but either don't work or have too many SES (like gorking you out so you cannot function).

She also has had a sick cat and tried to get him better but hard lined her on this boy and said he needs to go to the vet (I could see this cat was tanking which I am not sure she could see). He got some anti-Bs and was doing better. She just put another older cat down last month and it would break her heart to put another one down right now. Here is a photo of him below being curious on Saturday which was a good sign he was feeling better.

We had a great time riding in the convertible, walking on the beach, eating, shopping and more. The fun committee (me) did her job! I also got these cute boots below during a shopping trip to Balboa Island. You saw the photo of the seafood pig out too our last evening.

Will read up some more on you gals as the week goes on. Got things to do, some biz calls to attend to, etc. Hope your week is underway and going okay!

Good morning friends- the delete above was a post for another thread, whoops! I must be tired! Got home yesterday from the visit to the west coast with family. Some good sister time, walks on the beach, food, shopping and more. Came home to t-storms and some soaking rains last night with the summer monsoons which is a good thing.

BB- I really miss the ocean having grown up on the east coast. Every summer, I think of times spent at my sisters beach house in RI where we had such good times. I somehow think I will end up by the ocean again some day.

E- any updates on your tests? I think you were waiting on a referral when I left? Did you finish your accounting class and how did you do? On to the next course, no doubt.

Artista- I am sorry that TP house brought back some bad memories. We were thinking it was something with a frat house prank, although the house is not in the right place to support that concept. You made me see something else in that situation, that perhaps this was someone being racist and harassing the people in that home. Thank you for helping to create a better awareness for me. I am sorry people have been so unkind to you.

June- you should pick up and read "All the Single Ladies" by Rebecca Traister. I think you would like it

Simplicity seems to be gone from the thread for awhile, maybe Lilly too

    Wishing everyone a good day

A bit nervous. I normally don't do checks on myself since I'm seen every 3 mo and they do it, but I felt a hard non-movable bump above my implant area, like 2 inches below the clavicle roughly maybe 1/2". Just a guess on size and exact location but it's not on the clavicle. Don't know if it's good news if it's hard or soft when it comes to recurrence. Had bmx and have implants but cancer was left side. I have my revision sx on 9/1 scheduled where my ps is going to make my right side look more even to the left as it's obvious. Thinking I'll report the bump after that sx. I know some think priorities but for me, being uneven sucks and if it is something where it's chemo again, I want the ps stuff to be done before I start on that path again if it is recurrence.

Posted in the stage IV if you have ques but aren't stage IV thread. One lady says report it to both ps and mo. I'm just afraid ps will cancel the sx pending and I don't want that. Not sure if he'd say I'll take it out for it to be biopsied if mo says should come out to see or cancel my rev sx and send me to my bs.

I'm just soooooo close to being done with reconstruction. 2 weeks from Fri is the sx, 9/1.

wow Arista. Hard to give you advise on this but let's say I am you. What will I do? I will do what you said I will keep silent till my revision is done. You can always report it right next week after your revision surgery and pretend u just realized. In my experience I agree with you we wait so long to have some kind of fix. You don't want to risk them saying oh wait we should address this first. Cuz ur recon is also important to you. But again this is something only you can decide and I am not telling you what to do. Just telling you I understand and I support what ever you decide?

    Hope all goes well.

Me I am frustrated waiting for October so I can have an MRI in my pelvis and some news as per what is this fibroid doing .

Jazz so HBO by error release episode 6.

It was amazing lol I just watched going to bed

Must get up at 5. Doing morning shift tmw

Thanks ladies. How utterly embarrassing. The whole process and meds has caused me to become spacier. Almost on a daily basis I can't find something in view or forget why I got up, forget to do something for Mooshy- stuff like that. I've left the stove on for a long time before a smell led me back to the kitchen. I live alone so it's pretty scary.

artista - i am glad it was just a false alarm....

it will take a while to have those toxic (anesthesia) leave your body. right after my MX, i was very forgetful and i used to have very good memory....well not anymore.

i didn't have recon...whatever happens, just make sure do whatever take you go under the knife less frequent. those anesthesia really dull the brain cells.

Artista- many of us here live alone and we understand. No judgement friend. I did not do chemo, but definately feel some cognitive effects from the AI drugs I have been taking for awhile. We really do get it!

ah don't even get me started lol specially going to school there is where I struggle the most and I know this is the new me :(

So sad we all have been left with memory lost and it sucks

I also have to write things down specially at work. Cuz I fear I may forget. It doesn't help to have over load of stress at work either.

I am meeting a few days ago a manager asked me how come I didn't follow up on something and I looked at her and saidaybe cuz I only have one brain 2 hands and two eyes ? I need a extra set if I am expected to do it all. Everyone just looked down and changed the subject but no one dare to argue with me on it lol

I am supper tired and I have no clue if I will ever leave that nasty department.

On the other hand it is raining here and it is now the norm. I feel as if I live in Bancouver bc this is the worse summer ever SickTired

And winter is around the corner

Jazz I am sad onle 1 more episode of game of throne is no fair

Hi friends- getting more caught up since being home. I decided against a trip to Ireland this fall that I was hoping to do. Just not the right time for a number of reasons, but will try to go with my sister another time. We talked about going to Paris and Ireland in a couple years, one week each. We have family in Paris. I am good with the decision.

Weather here is nice and replanted my front garden that got fried with the hot weather this summer. Will share some pics soon of that soon. The rains have eased up but may be coming back later this weekend. We are still in monsoon season and need more moisture.

I went shopping yesterday and bought a few new pants in a smaller size. Still holding with my 25 pound off but hoping I may drop down more soon. I need to get back on the bike, still swimming regularly too.

E- there is only one more episode before they are done? I read there may be a prequel in the works for GOT- the early years. Sort of like what they did with the Alien movie franchise? I will miss those dragons.

i must be crazy....when i watched the GOT, at the beginning i thought cesi was evil but later and later i don't want to see her fall.....her gowns in the show were exquisite and she wore them very well and elegantly.

for some reason, i am not impressed w the dragon queen.

Ayra Stark is my all time fav....

    hi girls

Today I will bring my bike home.

My friend msg saying he is going to Alaska incase I need the bike he won't be home for a month. So I started thinking I must store the bike here. I will take a chance it may get stolen but it is what it is. I can't keep on bothering others to store it and I can't afford paying the motorcycle place so much to store . So wishbone luck.

Good afternoon friends- cloudy day here with sprinkles around, hoping for a good rain by tonight. Still monsoon season and we need a lot more rain. Getting caught up on some things with the house, my biz, etc.

E- I am really glad you are getting back on your bike. I know the weather has not been great there for riding this summer from what I have heard, but also know you enjoy that time outdoors and maybe the fall will be better? Good to have the biking friends too. Hope your bike starts up and you can enjoy the company of some of your compatriots.

I heard two more of the GOT shows before the series wraps up (sob). Watching some of the earlier episodes this afternoon. Always good to see them a few times as there is much in each week's show!

June- how are you liking Traister's book? One of the best books I have read in a long time. Sort of fits with many things I observed my whole life growing up in the US as a single woman. We are a force!

    BB- thinking of you today

Simplicity- also thinking off you if you are out there lurking. Hope you are continuing to feel stronger through time.

Lilly- I know things are so hard for you sister. Sending love your way Heart

Artista- how are you doing this weekend friend?

Hoping everyone else is having a good day. August is going fast, summer is waning.
