BB- when I was going through the worst of it, I could not think of the future much. I was also worried what the future might hold as so much is uncertain for us.

What got me through and still does is taking it one day at a time. Trying to do a few things to get you through. For me it was keeping my work/biz going, making sure I took care of myself ever day with healthy eating and enough rest (exercise later as I got stronger), etc. Sometimes just have 2-3 things a day to focus on can help. Anything more can be overwhelming.

Yesterday, I had several apts and then a plethora of errands to run. I ended up making about 10 stops to pick things up, drop things off, you name it. I got home last night and was WIPED OUT! Because I am going out of town this weekend, I have been trying to get caught up on things. Today I have a few things going on but laying lower at I realized I just tried to do too much yesterday. I can still easily overwhelm myself. It is good I am going away for a bit as it will force me to relax and slow down a bit. I am just still adjusting to coming off that busy contract.

Hope everyone here is having an okay day!

Well I took all my plants and gave them away to a lady who lives close by. I realize even my plants were not doing very well in my place :( I live facing east and I don't get the sun. One of those mistakes I made when I got my place. I am a sun person, I love to just tane and bake lol and never realized I would have no sun at all in my apt, now no plants do well and I figure they should be in a better place so took them and gave to a nice lady who has a beautiful garden. :) I was able to sit at her garden and watch her birds out side and it made me happy.  ;)) I really wish I get some money and be able to move north to a county area full of nature.

you know it's funny I do think of moving far north and I don't even think of the medical needs lol I guess I had enough of the city, I see how at county sides neighbours kind of help each other and grow their own fruits and just have such a peaceful kind of life I always envy lol I was able to experience that when I was a child and I miss the simplicity of country life, but you are right medical should be in my future plans humm maybe I just tend to forget the bc which is good I want to forget it lol

BB- if swimming is what works for you, then do that for exercise. The fatigue really can hang with you for a long time. I still have days where I get wiped out, especially if I push myself too hard. There were many months I would just go to work, come home and eat something, go to bed and do the same thing all over again.

Enerva- sorry to had to give away your plants. I have lived in places in the past with not enough light. I am a sun lover myself.

Going to yoga tonight. It is raining here again tonight, which is a good thing for us in the thirsty desert.

have a great class Jazz,  I have a wonderful apt very big and lots of light but not direct sun, it drives me nuts cuz even in the summer I have to wear a swether due to been always kind of on the cold side. I have to admit when I walked in I fall in love but I never asked my real state about the sun, this are things I now look for when I enter a home lol here is a picture of my living room where I spend most of my days trying to study. Lol see my great view n my books lol

i know I do too, I am on a 23 Rd floor. I do love it here but I have to be honest it's too expensive :( when I bought it I was dreaming with finding love or should I say convincing my ex to love me ha ha ha it's a perfect apt for a couple, there is a school right beside the building it's sitting in a 10 acres lot with tennis, and up in the roof we have a pool, gym sauna. Even has a ping pon table room and a pool room. Perfect for a couple to race kids. I bought it when I was 34 and I thought I still had a chance to have kids. It has two huge bedrooms 1 1/2 bathroom. Then I brought my mom to live with me and it was perfect, I could bring her down to the gardens she loved it.Now I am lonely and miserable I feel as if I made a huge mistake I can't afford it I have to sell and find a studio somewhere in the country side.Far from the city I can't stand the city anymore. I always liked the Nature part of this country even though winter can be a pain when been a woman. Snow can be a tuff one to deal with in the county areas. Anyway I do like my apt I did a lot of improvement to it. I just can't afford the high mortgage and fees any longer. As soon as I get the surgery and get the license for real state I ll start working and planning on moving, starting fresh somewhere thats the plan.  ;)

ha ha ha it needs a real couple who love each other and can have a family, not for a single broke lady ;) it's time for me to pass it on or win the lotto so I can pay off the mortgage and keep paying only the maintenance fee. ;) that could be nice.

Enerva - I love your living room and the view.  I think it looks perfect for a single person.  But I can understand moving to the countryside.  I'm sure that would be nice, too.

Enerva- it is good to realize you need a different setting for yourself now. I think city live has it's pluses but so does being out in nature. It sounds like you have a good plan for what you need to do when the time is right.

Milkyway thanks, yes you are close ;)

Jazz, I agree I need to get a fresh start somewhere around nature, living here I go to the lake a lot just to walk and feel as if I live in the country lol I never use the facilities at my condo. Always drive out of here. Today I ll try to go upstairs to the roof maybe bring my books with me there but I ll go for my usual walk another lake first. ;)

oh love the pictures how beautiful,  yes that is the same place I usually rollerblade or walk or bicycle around. It's very peaceful and you feel as if you are not at all in Toronto or Mississauga, that is what k like to dream I am somewhere else lol

BB, I am sure you and I will find a way to run away and start fresh some where nice where no one will know about our bc and we will just fit in.  I must say I don't actually hate it here but I am not 100% happy due to the financial situation, here it's very expensive to live cloth. Food, even gas is more here, when I drive north I pay 1.27 X L then as soon I get here its 1.37 WTH? Lol also I find that in the country side there are lots of organics food places and places to  buy great honey 🍯 I just love the land an horses and gardens off course winter here is brutal and it ll be hard to manage to find a job up there but I think that once I am there I can find something lol how are all those folks living out there? Lol there have to be a way ;)

So about changing your scene, back in the 1990's I was living back east and went through a very bad time with a brother and father who both became ill. My brother died in 1992, my father had to go into a nursing home a year later. Some of the darkest days of my life.

One thing I do believe is that once you have gone through some major in your life (can be anything), sometimes it is just hard to move on when there are constant reminders around you and people who also have a hard time letting you move on. There is a lot to be said for a fresh start in a different setting.

I ended up taking a leap of faith to move to the SW a few years after all that went down. Everything I went through made me realize I was not living a life I wanted. Going to a different community  did give me that much needed fresh space to move on with the next chapter of my life. And my life really improved as a result. Because I am happy where I live now, I have not felt that as much with all I have gone through with the bc, but with what I went through way back when, I really do understand that need to find some breathing room to start anew.

So I encourage you to be open to new places to live even if they are not as far as I did, but will give you the life you want. I think one of the things we learn from all this is what do we really want for our future. Be open my friends.

I am mostly packed today and just have a few remaining house items to do by tomorrow. I feel ready to go on my trip, which is a good feeling. Will let you know how the "date" goes and will be in touch after I am back 7/22.

Wishing you all a good weekend and more until we meet again! Blessing to all my fellow bc sisters on this thread.

jazz thanks for sharing your experience. I agree, if anything I learn from this past two years is that I was not living where I always wanted so I was not very happy I had a stressful job where I had to deal with unhearted people, I had a bf that left and moved very far then I spend lots of time driving to play weekend wife, cleaning n cooking for him then came back to deal with my own shores. My job gave me great money but it was not well distributed since my condo took more than half of it. Then mom got very sick and things started to crumble and to top it off bc came my way. You are so wise this makes us see what's really important and to me now my own well been is more important so I will go and try to start fresh far from here. My best friend is asking me to consider moving to another country but I feel if I go north it will be just as if I am in another country and it will be easier to start over. ;) Also have a friend in bc and him and his wife tell me I could love it there so who knows but next year by 2015 I will move no doubt lol

Bb, I never took any on line course but I know lots of people who do. It seams to be very simple. I believe you will have to sign in to a site then have e-books so you will need to read on line some of those give you option to download a pdf file that u can then get it printed if you like. But onlybwhen you are ready then you schedule the exam which ivthink it's timed.  IT all depends on the course you enroll in.

My exam is the first week of August.  I am reading all chapters over and doing lots of offer exercises hoping I do better this time. ;)

BB- I am glad your mother is helping you financially. She knows you are going through tough times and probably has the means to help you. That may take some pressure off you to be able to not worry about money and get through some more of what you need to do. I am proud of you that you are going to take a weekend for yourself to take good care of yourself. You go girl!

Check out local farmers markets for good eats. I went last weekend and loaded up and eating so well this week.

Enerva- I am sorry you had to deal with all that. Sometimes we just don't get a break in life. One darned thing after another. It sounds like your friends want you to move near them to help you. You do what is right for you and it sounds like with time, you will go north my dear!

Stayed in Ohio an extra night and just got in at midnight. You gals are busy. Loving all of the pics!

I have a ton of pics to share and even took some for E while driving on some country roads in southern Ohio.

Yeah for a good day BB!!!! but please nourish your body girl

    E love the views!

    What's new Life and Milky?

Jazz....enjoy your time off....wait what? Date?

Stopped at my boyBff house on the way home this evening. Told him about my escapades (Tell you all later) ;)

Before I left he told me my boobs looked great...(Had on a tank top) LOL! That coming from a guy who says he isn't much of a boob man.

In the last 3 days I have logged in more than 20 miles of walking. I don't think the walk challenge people from work are going to believe my entries. But I have the pedometer readings and tired dogs to prove it.

off to bed without setting my alarm.

I really need some rest. sweet slumbers dear ladies.

Life-  yes, I agree about sharing photos here that show snippets of our lives. I do so on other threads where people share garden pictures, and more. I will share some photos with you all from my travels back east once I am back! Thank you for the vacation good wishes!

Piper- I love that your boy BFF is there for you and thinks your new boobs look good. That must make you feel good!

And yes, a sort of date with a guy I know from childhood who reached out to me on FB after gathering that I was coming back east. I will see him Tuesday night along with some others for some music on the town green in our home town. If things go well and I want to spend more time with him, I have some space later in the week to do that. But I see it more as two old friends connecting and having fun together.

One more day here to be ready to head back on my trip!
