I had all my cards, 2 sets of TE's and now I have the implant cards.  I put them in my wallet.  Thinking now I should run a copy and stick in my medical file....

    SpecialK...5 days...STAY HEALTHY

I got word this weekend that a high school classmate of mine passed away this weekend of BC that had metastasized to her bones.  I haven't seen her in over 20 years but you guys can only guess how this has made me feel.  Ugh.

chick - I had a Prolia injection last Thurs. at the MO office - within 24 hours I had a sore throat - I was like WTH!  It is gone now, but I don't need a problem now!  Also went out and bout Hibiclens yesterday and will start the antibacterializing today!  I am so sorry about your classmate - it is always a shock, I think especially because we all think it can't possibly have been so long since we graduated - at least for me I am instantly transported back to that time whenever I see people at reunions.  I had a huge high school class and we have lost quite a few.  So sad.

ren - right now I am between nesting and panicking!

No panicking allowed, specialk! Everything will be fine :)

    Sorry, chickadee.

I am going back to work this afternoon. I don't need my TE cards now, I just thought it was odd that I also got my port card & not the TE cards.

dll - man, I hope so - it is just the normal level of panic right now.  This is a busy week - tomorrow I have PS pre-op, and a normally scheduled Gyn appt at which I need a colonoscpoy referral per MO.  Wednesday is a spa day with DD, Thurs I just scheduled a PET scan which they want before surgery to get a honest look without surgical inflammation, and then to the hospital on Fri morning.  I have no time to panic!

    Aww chick....sending you hugs.

Specialk, no time to fret! I'm excited for you!

I had to go to the clinic today, one of my abdominal incisions has been bleeding all weekend. It was good to see my normal doctor, who is also dealing with bc and has many shared doctors with me. She has the same ps. I shared my story and she agreed, if I'm not happy he has to fix it. I love her!

It's snowing here, I'm going to curl up with The dog and snooze. Back to work tomorrow.

Thanks guys! It has been a long road.  My original TE's were placed on November 1, 2010!  I have spent the last couple of weeks managing my own expectations, and I have had several conversations with the DH about his too!

dll - yes, Wednesday is making the other days be OK!  My DD got this spa day for Valentine's from the Navy SEAL.  She is scared to go alone, she has never beento a spa, so I happily agreed to do it too!

MT - still amazed at what happened to you.  Take some comfort that those of us that come after you have learned!  I will be having an extensive chat with my PS tomorrow!  Napping with the doggie sounds good!

I am new to posting, but have been reading a lot on the site for the last three weeks, since my BMX.  I do have a question about the TE's.  I had the first fill last Friday (75cc) and today I think the right looks much larger than it did yesterday.  I'm not even sure that's correct, but I've gotten very paranoid about infection or other problems and wonder if I should try to get back in to see the PS before next week's scheduled fill? I feel more tight today (Monday) than I did on Friday.

Please excuse my ignorance but what the heck are "squishies"?  Good luck to you SpecialK!

SpecialK-I am nesting.  I have washed every sheet & comforter in the house and today I steam cleaned all the carpets.  DS threw up friday night but I am hoping it was something he ate.  DH has been coughing since friday and refuses to see a dr even though I think it sounds like pneumonia.

I had a large HS class too (450) and I have not been back for a reunion.  Maybe will try for #25.  This girl was in my "circle of friends", but like I said hadn't spoken to her since graduation.  I think if someone had said she dies of a heart attack or something else it might not be as scaryor hit as close to home!

jojo - unless you have pain, redness, warmth, or fever you are probably ok.  Due to differences in the sides of your chest you may look to be idfferent sizes throughout the fill process.  All that really matters is how you look at the last fill.

marcy - squishies are final implants!

chick - I am doing the washing/cleaning thing right now too!  Sorry you have germy peeps in your house!  My class from high school was 1300 - this was a suburban "bedroom" community in the mid'70's - every reunion (every 10 years) they have a bulletin board with yearbook pics of those who have passed.  Pretty sobering.  I saw a guy I had dated at my 20th, and he had died by the 30th.

Haven't been around in a while. There have been lots of posts so I'm still trying to catch up with everybody. I had my 4th fill last week. I'm up to a whopping 270 cc with another 205 to go. The stupid heavy arm tight bra feeling started a couple of days ago. That was the beginning of the end the last time:) I've started compression and plan to call the PS tomorrow to see if I can't get on some antibiotics just in case something is trying to go awry. We are leaving for Jamaica in 34 days. I'm terrified! I burst open the last time when I was on vacation. Ugh! I'm not dealing well with this today :(

Yes SpecialK you have been a wealth of info and support on this thread! Hard to believe you had your original TE's placed on 11/1/10!! OY!

jojo: Sorry I can't help, I have yet to have a fill.

sundermom: Long time no see! I'm sorry to hear you are feeling funky. Do you have visible swelling? Please let us know what your PS says tomorrow. Def. call him/her to ease your fears.

Chick: What is it with men and not wanting to go to the doc? That's so frustrating! Hopefully he gets better soon. We don't want him to compromise your upcoming surgery!

Holy crap SK your class was big!

Finished with all my cleaning.  House smells good and germ free.  Nobody else got sick this weekend so I assume it was something DS ate Friday night.

I started Cipro today. While the PS sees no visible signs of infection I still contend that things just don't feel right, so he agreed to a course of antibiotics. No one can seem to explain the numbness that seems to come and go from my upper inner arm. I haven't had it for almost 4 months and now suddenly it's back??? I'm going to the PT next week. We started a lymphatic massage and stretching program the last time this happened, but there were never any signs of lymphedema other than the heaviness I kept complaining about. I think my PS thinks I've become an alarmist lol.

sundermom- I had  that heaviness in my arm and tight bra feeling and it was diagnosed as LE. I would go back and try the massage and stretching program again. It can really help. A lot of PS really do not understand LE and often make us wait too long before being seen. Good luck!

momof3, ren & DM - thanks - always just want to help.  I have been so fortunate to be helped by so many from BCO - just paying it forward!

chick - yes, my class was massive!  It was a 3 year high school only because of the size.  You should see my yearbook - it could be used as a weapon!  Tomorow is a massive cleaning day - I had the PS consult today (asked extensively about what implants will be waiting!!! Per MT - even told the PS that story!) then had a pap :( this afternoon.  NP said I don't need to have any more as it has been ten years since hyst/ooph, just an exam in the future.  She had prophy BMX with silicone implants for high-risk, she let me feel them - they are quite squishy!!  I thought that was very nice of her, this was the first time we had met!

sunder - could you be having pressing on nerves, did your PS mentin this as a possibility?  Am wondering because of the numbness, and wondering if your fills are temporarily causing some pinching.  I do have stage 1 LE and have noticed that when I inadvertently sleep on my LE side the rock hard TE is digging into my arm at the bicep - have pins&needles/numbness all the rest of the day.  You need a good vacation - no problems this time!!!

just came back from PS, bad news. Redness all over, he put me on antiobiotics, on the top of that at home I noticed leaking, but this time on  tne top of my shirt...I probably have an infection and they probably remove TE later... I will ask to remove both and go flat then...Lord have mercy!

Oh Olgah....dang it all. I'm so sorry!! I hope and pray the infection is cleared up soon for you. Hugs to you!

Say a little prayer for me tomorrow. I go in for fill #5. The arm issue seemed somewhat better today. I wore my bra over a cami and I really think the bra ( not just this one, but any one) is part of the problem. It just feels like they are digging straight into my ribs. I can wait to be even again and ditch the bras!!! I probably need at least three more of my teeny tiny fills before I'd be willing to chance going without my poof.

I started looking at bikini tops for our upcoming trip to Jamaica. My tops from last year are too small since I was still expanding. Kinda of funny :) It will be nice to actually have hair this year. I remember being really hot last year wearing a scarf all of the time. 32 days and counting ...

olgah - oh no!  Hope this clears up quickly!

sunder - bras while in the lopsided state are problematic and just plain uncomfortable!  I can't even think about bathing suits.
