Michelle-I forget to say glad you are OK.  It is always troubling when people disappear for a little while, our minds wander.  Like Survivor, sure wish she would check in!

What happened to survivor?  I clicked on her member name last week and she has not been seen online since December.  This worries me.

Michele: so sorry about your accident. I'm relieved your fine -- car accidents can be so traumatic....

    Chick - good luck tomorrow.

SpecialK - I hope your rash goes away soon! And yes, I'm worried about Survivor, too. After my TE infection and surgery, she was the first one to reach out to me and was so nice.... I hope we hear from her....

    Take care everyone,

    C

Having my drain pulled tomorrow, two days earlier than scheduled.  Also instructed by the PS to discontinue Cipro for the moment.  Don't have much of an appetite but today I am a little more comfortable.

We both need a shrink!! Somebody help me.... Hope you gals are getting your TE back in and the infections are gone away. I have been super careful, wash my hands, then wipe with Wet Ones, then put on rubber gloves then do the same and wash with pure soap from health food store then rinse with an apple cider vinegar/water solution to reduce skin bacteria, then cover with silver anti microbe ointment and then overlay with Always maxi or pantiliner and then sports bra...takes about 2 hrs but I am so paranoid. Dunno how I am gonna go to restrm at work without a Hazmat suit LOL...gotta go back next wk,guess all my little fun & games are over...and NO I am not laughing....

Michelle, glad you are ok. Car accidents are a pita.

    Chick, how are you doing?

Special K, wahoo to ditching The drain!

Layla...I don't know a single gal who didn't feel like you do with the alien life forms known as expanders. Hugs to you...it will get better with time.

Hope everyone is doing well. We are gearing up for a two day blizzard. Ugh! So glad I can't shovel yet. Hahaha. I got fitted at Victorias Secret today. These moderate plus 800 cc implants made me a DD. Uffda. I don't feel voluptuous.

shepurpl...there is a book, I think it is "why I Wore Lipstick to my Mastectomy", written by a former televison producer or something along those lines. She opted for a tatoo all around her foob. Also, there is some kind of art exhibit that is traveling, that has women who have done something like that. I don't remember the name of it. I admire you for getting a tatoo. After feeling how bad it hurts with the foob, you couldn't pay me to get one! LOL. And regarding feeling....I must have more than some because I feel everything except where the  scar it. No nipples, so I don't have that, but everything else seems to have sensation.

Layla, give yourself some time to heal and relax a little. It probably would be a good idea to talk with someone. I was worried about how my husband would adapt, and he has been great, but he was stressed at first also.

Hope things went well today, chickadee!

Yay for getting the drain out early, SpecialK! Glad you are more comfortable.

Awww, MTnester. Sorry you don't feel voluptuous. And really sorry about the impending blizzard!

I was spared the tape today at my appt. My PS wants to use tape to help define the fold & shape the implant when he starts doing fills. He took the stitches out, but there was a little swelling around the fill port, so we'll wait 2 weeks. And can I say that I freakin' love my PS? Today he said "because I am really compulsive I biopsied the crap out of everything in there again & it all came back clean." Gotta love that he is looking out as long as he's in there.

Hey guys. Thought I should check in. I had a real rough time yesterday. He decided to open up both pockets again. Once he "lifted" the left side he decided the right need to be brought in. The right side is where the worst ripple was so he wanted to make sure everything was laying flat. The fat grafting hurts like hell. DH told him he put 50 cc in both sided. My foobs are one big ole bruise. Thankful it isn't summer. I have ice on my stomach. I had a real hard time with anestesia again. We didn't leave hospital till 7. Threw up on the way home but haven't since. Hoping pain subsides a little today. Ugh...

Sorry yu gals are having troubles with the fat grafting.

I am with you Dlll, glad we had anal retentive surgeons,my BS took 2 nodes and they both came back negative guess she wanted to be doubly sure. I feel good seeing the onc dr 2moro with my EMR path reports coming into his computer from the labs and my BS. I should be happy the cancer is gone but I feel so sad when I think about the boobs,i guess its mourning for my lost real boobies where I nursed my children and other things nice girls dont say in public(LOL). I think the PS nurse knows I am getting depressed cuz she says" dont worry we'll get you some pretty new boobies" (she used the word "breasts") I am gonna see the psycholo dr at the cancer institute here to deal with all this.

Are you really hurting chick?  Ugh, sorry.  A girlfriend of mine who lives here had fat grafting done 3 weeks ago.  We have the same PS.  Do you see a big difference in where you were filled?  She said she saw a difference but not much.  I'm wondering if it's because my PS likes to be conservative and didn't do as much.  I hope you feel better and the pain doesn't last too long.  :(

MKW1 - good luck with your surgery.  Only a couple more days!

I saw alllllllllllllllll of my drs and they said there was nothing done to me that is permanent from the accident.  Just 'superficial' stuff from the tugging of seatbelt.  The soreness in those areas is going away.  Just my neck and upper back are stiff!  I don't see the PT until Thursday.  I'm hoping my car is done by then.  I can't miss that appointment!  I didn't get a rental.  I didn't want to go through the hassle of going to the rental place just to get a car to go from home to work.  A coworker is picking me up and taking me home.  I'm on her way.  Fingers crossed I get my car Thursday before my appointment!

Hi Layla, you are very stressed.  Do you have a therapist to talk to?  This is a big adjustment for you and for your fiance.  I see by your dates that you are relatively new to this whole process.  It takes time and you have to allow yourself to realize that.  If you need to take Xanax or something like that, do it.  I still take them from time to time.

Michelle-I feel like I did 7 million sit ups.  It's hard to get out of bed.  My foobs look like somebody took a bat to them.  When I had the leaker switched out in Sept I went out to dinner the next night.  There is NO WAY I could go out tonight.  I have a friend getting my kids today from school, but I was hoping to be back to normal tomorow.  I am sure it will be all worth it, however I am going to have to pull every ounce of courage I have to get nips in a few months.

I can totally tell where he put it.  The upper poles are very full now.

I got offered a 2 week long term sub job starting next week.  It may be extended beyond the 2 weeks but they won't know more until the following week.  They wanted me to come in tomorrow to learn the ropes but I said there was no way I could.  Luckily it wasn't a deal breaker.

I had told all the districts that I sub for that I was out this week and 2 of them called me at 630 this morning!  Nice to feel popular, but there is no way I could handle it this week.

MT how's the blizzard?  We might be getting severe storms tonight.  I sure hope not!

Chickadee: Wow, so sorry you were so sick and woke up to two revisions rather than one! I hear ya about being gun-shy on the nips after all this. The FG sounds very painful. Take it easy.

Mrochon, nice of your co-worker to pick you up! Hope ya get your car back this week!

SpecialK: Feeling better without that drain?

Layla: This whole thing is def. a process. Counseling will help. So will Xanax!

DLL66: Congrats! When my PS removed my scar tissue and put my TE back in, he sent the tissue to pathology and it was a releif that nothing was found.

    MTnester: How are you feeling/healing?

I saw my PS today. Still no fill. He wants to wait until my pinhole is completely healed. (Right now it seeps every 6-7 days.) My next appt. is in one month. At this rate, maybe I will have a fill by summer. Looks like another summer of not going in the pool. ;-(

Maybe I am just being wimpy.  I don't want to scare you all away from doing it!  I always react poorly to being put out.  The exchange surgery in Nov wasn't that bad though and neither was september.  I was really surprised and upset how sick I was last night.

I am glad though, like a few others have said, that my PS is a perfectionist.  I am not putting my body though all this to not be happy with the results!!

Chick-I hope the pain subsides soon. I'm glad you like the results!

Renn - you have the patience of a saint. Or maybe not, and you just put on a good front? At any rate -- I'm praying for no more seeping for you.

DLL I'm glad you love your PS and that he biopsied the crap out of everything. That's the kind of Doctor we ALL want.

SpecialK - how are you doing today? Layla, how are you today?

    MKW are you getting excited?!

The blizzard hasn't hit yet but schools in the area all dismissed early today. Cracks me up - it's overcast but there is no moisture coming down at all. I hope this is one of those deals where they forecast it to sound totally worse than it actually will be. The snow is supposed to start mid afternoon, and the wind will pick up - we are supposedly going to get 8-12 inches. My hubby has the snowblower full of gas and ready to go.

My abdominal incisions are healing nicely. I still get achy/crampy from time to time...I try to remind myself it's only been three weeks since surgery. My foob incisions look awesome but I have a hard ridge of scar tissue on the left one. I'm wearing one of my new bras today, it makes me feel more womanly than I've felt in a while if that makes sense? I tried going without a bra one day last week since my PS told me I could do whatever I wanted, including not wearing anything. That was a mistake - major aches and pains by the end of the day.

Hi all - drain is out (yay!) and PS thinks that Betadine is the culprit for the allergic reaction.  Was talking to DH about it in the car on the way there this morning - it was like PS was reading my mind!  He is quite happy with how things look and I am more comfortable but still quite itchy.  He gave me an Atarax scrip so I am about to take one and lay down.  I took a Vicodin so I was ready for the drain pulling so I didn't want to mix drugs!  A friend dropped by this afternoon with lunch for me - so nice!

chick - I have seen some say that where the fat is taken from for FG hurts more than the site of application, but it sounds like you hurt in both places!  Take it easy!

layla - I think it was easier for me to lose the boobs - I decided that they had been my friends but they had turned against me - so I wanted them gone!  My DH was 100% with the program, he said that is what he would do if it were him, so that made it easier for me.  You are early in the game - with time will come acceptance, but I think it is good for you to talk to someone if you feel comfortable with that.

mrochon - glad you are hanging in - take it easy with your recovery and don't push yourself too hard.

MT - I am looking forward to a pretty bra in the future.  My PS says no underwire until he says OK.  I will have to ask next week how long that is! I have just been wearing the minimal sports bra, and I am very comfortable so far.

dll - glad all the things checked by the PS were good - thoroughness is a good thing!

ren - sorry for more delay, but it is probably for the best.  I think completely closed will prove to be the key for the long run.

Feel better soon, chickadee! Congrats on being offered the sub job!

Layla, it's all a lot to deal with. Hope seeing the psych helps you out.

Ugh, Renn! I didn't get to use my pool last summer either. I hope you get to swim this summer!

mrochon, hope the soreness goes away soon & you get your car back on schedule.

MTNester, is the new bra from VS? What one did you get? I love VS. I have to restrain myself from buying any more bras 'til my implants are a matched set, LOL.

I'm wearing the Body by Victoria demi today. These are the bras I always wore pre BC/BMX. I still love them. I used to think it was crazy to spend that kind of cash on a bra that very few people ever get to see...but they hold up extremely well and quite frankly, after all the BS of the past six months, I'm more than worth expensive bras even if I'm the only one who ever sees them.

Survived the explosion! So far not passing anything so I hope that kidney stone is dust and gone now! Just some very mild soreness but I anticipate tomorrow or the next day will be a little worse if it bruises.

I like the body by victoria bras too. When I really want to take the twins out for a spin, I pack them i to my vs bombshell bra. Yowza!

In the drugstore the other day, I picked up the genie bra on a whim. It is very comfy. Bali has a new one out that macys carries that is similar. Going to be 17.99 at the one day sale this friday, I think, so I am going to pick one up and test it out. No wires, but seems to have decent support.

Special K, I also had a reaction to the Betadine. First we thought it was the surgical tape or could be both. What an extra pain that was from the bilateral MX. My non cancer side TE is acting up, immediately swelled with hard scar tissue. For those that have had to go in and remove scar tissue and expander how long were you down, and did you need drains?

I think this is a group I need to jump in with if y'all don't mind another sorority sister with troubled TE..sniff sniff.

Chick, I always ask for an anti nausea pill or put in my IV, I too get sick big time from anesthesia and it works like a charm! I hope my coconut tissue expander doesn't cause LE to kick in. Boy was I naive I thought the reconstruction part would be the easy part once the cancer was removed and the MX surgery was behind me.

    Patience is a virtue ....

Chick, I have had a 4mm kidney stone minding its own business in the lower part for years. I got an xray every couple of years. Late 2010, all was ok. Then, I started chemo/herceptin. Suddenly, I am in my oncs office for severe pain and nausea for what turned out to be a couple kidney stones or pieces of the one they were watching that is now 6mm. Ugh.

Then my back was achy on that side. The urologist said he would rather be proactive and blow it up than let it detach and get stuck.

He doesnt think there was a connection with my BC treatment, but I definately do.
