Hello ladies, so I was having a neck. Massage the other day and was laying on my stomach, and the most embarrassing thing happend. The therapist said omg ur leaking. The bed was covered with white clear fluid. At first I thought it was my implant leaking, but then later found out after visiting my ps that where m incision opened possible a seroma was leaking. Great. I just got so much exciting things happen to me, it's my destiny. Oh well as. Long as cancer don't come back I'm ok with these mishaps. Surgery on Monday. I'm being switched to the same implant but with allerderm. Ps feels. That I could still be stretched more.
If anyone wants to meet me at Bayshore. During the week let me know, I work there.we could do coffee.
Hope all ur ladies are doing well0 -
Red, holy cow. How long will you be in the hospital? By the sounds of things not to long.

Dragonfly55......that is not a good journey, so sorry, will send good thoughts our way.
Red....good luck tomorrow, maybe when you are in you can have all those sermons tidied up. Oh the look on that therapists face must have been something! Thank goodness it was not a broken implant. I saw his blonde assistant more than him though....which was ok, she is just wonderful!0 -
Hi all,
Gee Red, what next? Glad to hear leakage wasn't your implants. How did surgery go? I hope all is well. Next time I go for chemo at IGFCC, i'll take a detour to Bayshore. I think I'm at QCH on the 24th.
Ladybug, how are you doing? Have you had your reconstruction? Wishing you all the best!
Michele, I'm looking forward to some freedom. Except for my time in hospital, I've had a iv pump and bag attached to me since April 12th. How are things with you. Work must be getting busy. My 2 grandkids 2 & 4, have been spending a lot of time up at grandparents that have 48 horses. Jay, has named his new foul sugarfoot. They both love horses and riding.
Liking this weather... Looking forward to getting out more soon.0 -
First chemo last Friday. I knew it wasnt going to be fun, but wondering when I will start to feel better. This really sucks.

Hi all,
I'm with you Michele. I don't like this format either. I find it harder to read.
Babysammy: I agree... This sucks .... I have good days mixed with some awful days. ( #3 treatment is next week.)
As those who've been through it say: It'll be over before you know it. I keep that in my mind.
I hope yout0 -
Sandy, hang tough...You are almost over the hump. Before you know it you will be looking back and you won't believe how fast it really went.

Hi everyone. So far so good, I went in today to remove some staples.
Fill nexweek.
I had a Mammogram booked next week but I've been told not to do it until least 3-6 months post op. I had a lift in the good one.
Anyone else heard of this. Also what kind of tests are ppl Doing during the approach of their 2nd yr anniversary ????0 -
I had a mammogram about two weeks ago on my good side, which had been lifted into its rightful place. I had my surgery at the end of Jan. So that was about 3 months. She didn't squish me to bad.

I would wait a little more for that mammogram. You just had staples out. Maybe phone Guay's office and ask. Better yet, maybe you should book another appt with him to ask ( any reason to gaze at those eyes.....haha). Seriously though, I would wait a bit. Or you might have another leakage, or an explosive one!

Hanging in here. Approaching my #2 treatment. Took 9 days to feel better after #1, so, not looking forward to it. Hoping that it will all be a memory by Xmas.
Shaved my head last week. Thats a change, its awfully hot in the hat and wigs in this weather. My kids are just going to have to get used to me bald.
Glad to hear from women in the recon stage, thinking I will be going down that road one day too.
Dragonfly55- how many treatments do you need, is this the hump? Hope this heat isnt causing you to feel blah.

Baby sammy that sounds about right. It will be over before you know it...hang tough. I went bald all the time. The family got use to it. It took my daughter the longest. My husband and son didn't care. It is to hot out to worry about hats and wigs. let your toppie blow free.

Hi - I'm new to this group. I am presently tx#2 + 2 weeks. I am also triple negative. I have been very lucky with my SE's so far. I got my buzz cut back on May 5th and still have tons of stubble - my main issue right now is that I have small, itchy little blisters all over my scalp. I use an anti-bacterial shampoo and have put hydrocortisone cream on the worst spots but I wondered if anyone else had this SE.

Welcome Doreen...sorry I can't help with that one...I'm sure someone here can answer your question.

DorMac~use the Search function (it's upper left on my screen) and under 'keywords' punch in scalp pimples. A whole lot of stuff comes up. I don't think it's unusual to have scalp issues. Be sure to mention this to your onc.

Marple - thank you for the great advice - shame I didn't think of it myself. There are a lot of posts there regarding "scalp pimples" so I'm sure I'll find some answers.

thanks ladies, so surgery was 3 weeks ago, ill wait to do my mammogram in august some time. New TE with allerderm is doing well, i have like 3 staples left to remove. Last week she removed the bulk of them and gave me 30CC. She told me she was going extra slow with me. Just sucks to wear a prosthesis again.
Skin is really soft though, cuz remember i was filled to almost the finish and then.......the implant incision opened up blah blah.

Red, good to see you back here..

Hi ladies - brand new to the forum - just diagnosed this week, DCIS, going in for an MRI on Sunday and to see the doc on the 11th... I haven't shared with anyone "in person" yet (other than my hubby), want to wait until I have the full picture - so this site has been a haven for the last few days to read and review and try to stay sane with the waiting...

Ottawamom12, a big Ottawa welcome to you. Sorry you have to come here, but it is a great place to get support. You should also check out the Canadian ladies as well. I don't know what I would have done without this site. I too kept it from my family and friends until I had a better idea what I was dealing with and had a plan. We are here for you...what part of Ottawa do you live in?

Thanks for the warm welcome Michele, I'm an east-ender. After Sunday I'm going to try and put the whole thing out of my mind for a week until I see the Dr. (Dr. Arnaout - who I hear is fabulous, anyone with any experience with her?). My GP gave me a prescrip for / and counsel to take a couple of Ativan in prep for the MRI this weekend... so other than that, all I can do is wait right now. Once I have my complete dx and plan I'm sure to have more quesitons for everyone - and in the meantime I'll check the other topic as well.
