OK Teka that' a huge recipe--sounds yummy. but way too much to do. U do like fall--all the energy u have now.

I'm going out to lunch today with a few of my GF from HS==yes we still see each other and talk to each other And I have company coming St. and next week is the block party so I hope the weather is decent. It's cold this morning And I'm up to early--I want coffee so bad but it's way to early or is it.?

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning hermits- hope everyone is waking up to a nice day! The weather here is supposed to be cooling down this evening and temps go from the highs of the 80s down to the 70s. My favorite weather! I love Sept in NM.

Today is my presentation and it sounds like the luncheon attendance is much lower than expected, but I think there are several reasons for that. However, as I like to say, I did my part and will go do my best to present well, and hopefully it will help me to get some more of that "rust" off my presentation style. I posted my link to friends from the promo yesterday, and everyone thought I did a great job except for one person who is usually a downer.

Cami- I hope lunch out is fun and you are one kinda party girl! Thank you for all the kind words and compliments.

Teka- I am drinking my coffee but think my coffee maker is on the way out and just ordered another one from Kohls on line that should be here next week (and with a 30% off coupon). Must have my morning Joe!

Must go get some things ready for today and will be out of here in a few hours and on to my event. Will let you know how it goes. I am gonna work it!

His name was Frank Culbertson, and he found out shortly after that his friend Chic Burlingame was the pilot on Flight 77 which crashed into the Pentagon. They were both classmates of my brother, U.S. Naval Academy Class of '71. It's a somber day for Navy folks, as for many if not most Americans.

I think we ll remember exactly what we were doing on this day 13 yrs. Ago which seems like yesterday. What horribly tragic day. And I hope no one ever forgets it and how America came together.

Jazzy I hope it all goes well for u and I'm sure it will.

I'm tired, I had a great day with m GFs and just like when we were kids, my GF said (we were having lunch there) u didn 't expect me to make anything I hope. Yea right--But it was so much fun and we all had our coffe just as usual. I got home not to long ago actually we did loose track of time another usual thing. Her DH is out of town so we just kept things going. I put my phone on VM nd now I have to catch up.UGG

I'll check back to see of Jazzy posted.

Mags was that u'r story about the space picture?

Mags- that photo is really something. And just unbelievable the person that took that lost his brother that same day in the same attack. I watched a video someone posted as a tribute to today on FB and it just brought me to tears. Just like that day when I watched it all play out on TV that morning. So much loss and people still struggling on with their lives.

Cami- I am glad you had a fun day today! Sounds like a good day with the GFs. I think there is also a party coming up soon too, yes?

Blondie- I hope you are getting your sleep worked out and are snoozing away. Wishing you sweet dreams!

The panel presentation went really well today. I would say there were 60-65 people there which was a nice sized group. We did our prepared questions and then had time at the end for a few open questions from the audience. Lots of compliments and folks seemed to really like our session. I think the panel all had a good time too, it was a win-win all the way around!

  • OncoWarrior, yes I am from Stevens Point, WI.  I had no idea about the thread.  Thanks, I'll check it out.

Yes, Cami, that was mine. I didn't know Chic, but the Class of '71 were like brothers (chic & Frank weren't actually related) and the ones I know call me Sis just like my brother does, and just like like they do with Debra Burlingame, Chic's sister. They say Chic was a wonderful guy, always with a great big smile. I hope he didn't suffer, but something tells me he did.

For some reason it just seems to get harder each year, not easier. Maybe because it's not over.

Sounds like everyone's doing OK!  I'm tuckered out tonight - Our son got the key to his new condo yesterday, so tonight after work we all went over to do some cleaning before he moves in this weekend.  So exciting for him to be getting his own place.  I'm heading to bed.  Glad I only work a 1/2 day tomorrow!

Mags- I agree with you about it not being over. I think all the coverage on the terrible things happening with the ISIS terrorist group has everyone on edge again.

What does everyone have going on this weekend?

Sally- thank your for the kind words.

Personal training session #3 completed today and made it through my first week of training (5 weeks to follow). It is getting easier, and learning a lot of good things along the way.

Onward to some things here at the house and getting ready for a smallish yard sale tomorrow. Time to get the excess out of here!

We'll be driving back and forth with pickup truck loads of stuff, helping our son move this weekend.  He's been hauling some boxes of stuff in his car for the past couple of days, but the big stuff like couch, tv, bed, etc. will need a bigger vehicle and bigger crew to move.  Will be working on my arm muscles!

Jazzy, that rooster brought out a laugh.  Thanks.  I walked earlier today, and the crisp air encouraged me to go a tad further.

Cami, have a good visit with your cyber friends.

Monis, be careful hauling things today.

I sat out for about 3.5 hours and sold a few things, and made $26.50! Sold most of it to a neighbor whom I know, and whom was quite a chatty fellow today. Now the religious types are parked in the neighborhood and circling around, and I decide I was done for the day. It is nippy here this morning!

Cami- are the friends coming to visit BCO friends? I hope you are a great time!

Sally- enjoy your company today. Sounds like it is nippy there too?

Monis- ditto on the lifting and hauling.

Hope everyone else has a good day!
