U'll be busy soon Markat u're whole life will be different and that'a good, u'r young and u should be in the thick of things, enjoying u'r self too.

Well I woke up to one of my rare high energy days, so I decided to make the best of it.  Cleaned my kitchen cupboards, threw out stuff that was questionable, put some good stuff aside.  Things my kids eat, but I don't, cleaned my oven (ok bit of a cheat as it has self clean) but I think it counts, decluttered a lot of stuff from kitchen that accumulated over the summer when I was living at my parents (it seemed to become quite the dumping ground) and even gently poked at hubby to fix a piece of trim that has been sitting there for 2 years. lol

Personally I don't think anyone should have to share anything about their diagnosis or treatment that they don't want to on this site.  Just because you can doesn't mean you have too.  Mine I keep simple because there were huge ???s about path report, even when it was redone.  So tumour size and thus staging are just a guess  ... so what is the point?

Cami - hope you are feeling better this evening.

Markat - good luck with your apt.  I actually like my BS ... she is a woman and only a couple of months older than I am.

Teka .... met a lot of good people on this site ... and a few crazies ... but then again maybe BC makes us all a little nuts.

Hope everyone is doing good today. I wanted to give a big congratulations to Whaevah for her last day of chemo yay! May you retire from that pole forever!

Camille how are you feeling today?

    bgirl Member Posts: 435

Here is to no more pole dancing .... unless for fun and recreation  lol.

Woke up with energy again this morning .... I know it will only last a few days so I will try to make the best of it again.  They are some weird hormonal blip I seem to get at random every few months ... but I will take them while I get them ... have so much to catch up on from the last year.   I think people are not believing the I have been sick, think I am just lazy ... and there are a few days when that is true ... but mostly I need a nap by noon if I do a lot ... also makes pain worse.

Scared that I only have 2 days left of pills I got from dr.  Think that this is just keeping problem under control and not making it better.  Figure pain will come back after that and it won't be pretty.

Cami - hope you are a little better today.

    Happy Tuesday to all.

Good Morning Ladies--Markat so far so good and it better stay that way cuz I'm breaking my seal and going out to lunch with my girlfriends. One of them is leaving for 6 months to stay in NY with her family and her son who is having his first baby---her forst grandchild,so thank God for internet.

Bgirl I share what I'm going thru in just 2 threads mostly, I did alittle on another thread but no one even bothered to mention it LOL But I don't even know what all these ladies know so I can't figure out what they're talking about (which is stupid of me) Most of them are very nice but they all talk like Drs. and I really know nothing even about my cancer.

Teka u took the fun out of the whole post--But at least now we can stop our seach-Oh Markat I'll have more of nothing to do. LOL Teka

Sounds like today might be a good day for hermits.

camille-so glad you're feeling better, and have a great time with friends.

bgirl-energy at any time is a blessing.  Tell me your secret if your dh gets the trim done.  I have a few fix-its that have been ignored for years.

whaevah-we all celebrate for you.  Get off that dance floor.  Wink

markat-love crazy women.  They're the most fun.

    Teka-wishing you well.

As for diagnosis and whatnot, I usually don't say since I just get ???  (pure mucinous, radiofrequency ablation)

    Happy day.

I love this one it's comfy for me  and when I am concerned about what's been happening to me--u all seem like there is caring cuz I've certainly do care about u gals. and whst u'r all going thru--all tho my knowledge isn't so I can help physically I hope I can just help in someway. And the only thing I google about is SE from meds. BTW they all say dizzyness-hahaha which cracks me up everytime.

Teka I know I post what's going on with me now, but I don't really think alot about before unless we bring it up--but I think the most part of this thread is about what's going on today and how exciting our lives are now. LOL--well I did do my nails today for my lunch with some girlfriends. So I'll be be out and about today. This is a busy week for everyone too.

Who holds the chemo bag tight.

You can smile-every smile for the nurse

Who held your hand neath the fluorescent light

But don't forget who's takin' you home

And in whose arms you're gonna be

So darling' save THE LAST DANCE for me.

Hello fellow hermits! I'll be draggin' my arse out of bed and getting ready for the grand finale soon.

Thanks for all the good wishes !Kiss  I'll  be back later to play on 'roids Mwahahahaha

    Lol! Woohoo Whaevah!

Camille I hope you had a wonderful time at lunch and are feeling good!

Teka, hope you had fun cleaning your bathroom too. It's great that you've moved past BC and all the ugliness. Some us are still in the treatment trenches or are still feeling the lasting effects from it. If you are ever having a hard time with anything know that we will be here to hold your hands and lift you up.

Jane, I hope your energy sticks around and the pain stays away.

Skittle, I hope you had a great day!

Good visit with the BS. She was actually nice!

Skittle - I have a piece of trim that needed to be cut down to fit after new door was installed 2 years.  It is on.  I suitably praised him when he was done.  Also got a new drawer front made to replace one that has been broken for years.  On to the trim on the patio door.  Will keep going while I have him on a roll.  Asked him if he would like a list so he could do things when it was convenient.  Usually gets him going.  I very rarely ask for anything ... so I think it triggers a little guilt.  Also like I told my sister when she was having trouble with he husband, it is a little like puppy training.  Lead them a little and then praise them.  Not that anyone gives us praise when we clean the toilet or do the dishes, but it gets the job done with men.

Cami - I hope you had fun today.

Whaevah ... you should be a recording star.

Markat ... glad you apt went ok.

Teka ... did not get to bathroom today ... maybe tomorrow.

I did, however, leave hermitude to do a bunch of errands today.  Dropped clothes at Salvation Army, returned daughter's library books, put gas in car, went to lowes and got stain, paint chips, flooring samples & wall putty, grocery store, bought a new frying pan, furnace filters & a rubber mat for my car, did my business deposit, bought australian money at the exchange (gifts) and picked up a few items for Christmas gift bags for my church.  I amazed myself ... like I said ... trying to get stuff done while the getting is good.

Skittle you should make them all! I was thinking about making a pumpkin cheesecake. Actually, I was thinking about making every flavored cheesecake :-P

BS said I had some thickening on my BC side, but she wasn't concerned. Probably scar tissue.

I miss KLTB! I need to go stalk her posts and see if she is doing ok with rads.

Seriously, this talk about pie is making me so hungry. I'm so close to going to Taco Bell Cool

I've got to lose weight also Teka. I've slacked off so bad about cooking healthy, light meals. I was looking through pictures from last year before I found out, and I looked pretty good. Not great...but decent. Now...ugh.

    Whaevah, how's it going?

  • bgirl
    bgirl Member Posts: 435

Yeah cheesecake ... love it in almost any flavour ... thing I missed most when I had an allergy to milk for almost 10 years.  Which by the way disappeared mysteriously  2 weeks after my surgery.

Wishing everyone a happy day ....  very foggy, but sun is supposed to come out later.  Sleepy today ... knew energy kick wouldn't last, but did get some stuff done.

Whaevah ... hope the day finds you well.

Looks like you all won the debate.  Pies for all.  Pecan, pumpkin, sweet potato...  In the kitchen all morning was a good kind of exhausting.  Flour everywhere. (wouldn't it be fun to have a byofork get together?)    Markat has to bring the pumpkin cheesecake, though.  Love to bake, but have never made a successfully yummy cheesecake.  dd2 makes a great chocolate one with fresh red raspberries on the top... mmm... but pumpkin sounds really good for Thanksgiving.  (calories shared with hermits don't count!)  Cool  (She's making macaroons for tomorrow, and dd1 is doing the turkey and trimmings.  I'll bring the tofurky.  Embarassed  )  Rest up.  Enjoy family.  (((( u )))))

Happy Thanksgiving Hermits!   Have a wonderful day!

bgirl what a dream...win the lottery!  I have the same dream! Boy I could use that right now.  In reality, the truth is I would have a very hard time winning considering the fact that I don't buy tickets. Foot in Mouth

Teka I agree on the Mammo my cousin had a mammo and it came out fine and in just a couple of months she herself found a big lump??? So???

after all this talk of pie--we'd better have pies today, but after eating I want my pie much later when I go home hahaha but like we said my own pie with my plastic fork (still use them) and slowly enjoy it. Just in case, I have my very own chessecake in the freezer--It's my back-up plan

Well I ertainly hope u all have a wonderful Thansgiving with blessing for all.

    whaevah Member Posts: 282

teka...that would be me you are talking about re mammos

Mine was fine , then 12 months later ready for followup, I found the lump. I will insist on US as THAT was the best diagnostic test for me.

    Happy Thanksgiving Ladies!
