    Kathy I have no idea how I was so smart back then. Wish I was still that smart. Lol.

    I had brains back then,

    Hid my light under bushels

    The light slowly dimmed.

    Thanks Monica, although it was only the high school year book, it made me feel good.

    High school - happy? Sad?

    Depends upon your status

    If you find your clique.

    Birdsong lures me out

    for a pre-dawn walk.  They sense

    impending sunrise.

    ~~~~~
    Sky turns pink & blue.
    Crisp tang to the springtime air.
    Glorious morning!
    ~~~~~

    Gathered overhead;

    Please do not poop on my head!

    Birds of a feather.

    Warm sun in blue sky,

    But snow still on my front lawn!

    Sigh, hurry up spring!

    Mother lies dying,

    Hold her hand and stroke her hair,

    My heart breaks for her.

    Soon she'll drift away

    To a land of peace and love,

    To be with her Lord.

    Searching through her home,

    Discover a photograph,

    Young and beautiful,

    Again.

    Morweena, I'm so sorry you are going through this.

    You can hold her hand,

    See she's softly delivered,

    Hug her all the way.

    Oh Lord, I don't know what to say Morweena. Blessings.

    Morweena. My little offering. I know it's not much but it comes from the heart. Sing it to Leonard Cohen's song Hallelujah

    She is my Mother that I knew

    And I know she loved me too

    We had our fights and sometimes it'd go thru ya

    But love was there  We had to share

    And even when our hearts were bared

    We knew she'd always be right there to school ya

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    And now she really clings to life

    Thru all the sorrow and the strife

    You want more time together do ya

    As daughter sister mother wife

    You never know the leavings rife

    With fear and pain and terror that drew ya

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    And now you have to say goodbye

    It's time for tears it's time to cry

    And never think this day would come  do ya

    So now we just remember why

    The love we had that just won't die

    Cause it will always be right there to soothe ya

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    And when she's home With the Lord above

    And basking in his amazing love

    You'll know she's right near by to ya

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    Hallelujah Hallelujah

    To beat this RB

    How is Morweena?

    Has mom made it safely home?

    My prayers for you.

    Eostre

    The Mother cloaks herself in green,

    This early springtime morn.

    And everywhere new life is seen,

    A world again reborn

    The cycle of the seasons clicks

    Just one more turn ahead.

    We suffer time's relentless ticks,

    Lost dreams, and words unsaid.

    The swollen streams have had their fill,

    They hold it with no lack.

    And though the days are colder still,

    There is no turning back.

    Yet people always try to hold

    onto the old ways too.

    But if the choice is always bold ,

    the future is for you.

    And so the Mother's cloaked in green,

    This early Springtime morn.

    And everywhere, new life is seen;

    As we, once more, are born.

    This is Gage. He is 6. He is my cousins grandson. There isn't much hope but i know that at least two of the ladies on this site practice alternate ways. So I need to ask you to light a candle, send healing, do whatever you can. He has MD and took a seizure and now has Leukodystrophy. In layman's terms, vanishing white cells. Monica, Morweena, please join my daughter and myself in trying to send this baby healing. He's been in hospital like this for 6 days now. Please.

    Healing for Gage is what we need

    Healing for Gage is what we plead

    Please send him  healing and light

    Bring him many more leukocytes

    Fast improvement that we see

    As I will so mote it be.

    Knowledge of what will happen

    They pull the plug Thurs

    My heart is weeping

    For my dear cousins grandson

    His light extinguished.

    ...today i am remembering a thing my brother told me. he reads the bible as i do not, with complete sincerity and hope. i read it and notice it is full of trouble and poetry. but he told me and i never forgot, he asked me, "kathe, do you know what the shortest sentence in the bible is?" no. he said-

    Jesus wept

    and so lastnight i was woken up by anonymous drunken caller 5 times, and as i lay there, i thought of so many women and families and people suffering all over the world and could not pray or cry

    but just love and worry, love and worry, thats me

    thinking of you today Red, with sorrow for your grief and your family's grief

    such a young soul to pass and just not fair.

    I must be crazy

    An operation in view

    And I am HAPPY!

    Why is that, you say?

    Because I saw my ortho

    And he says he can!

    A knee replacement

    Long awaited, overdue

    Will really be done!

    Right knee will be first

    Unstable and causing pain

    Soon a new model!

    Yep going to have my knee done while I am "stable". scared but excited. 3 years postponed by many scenic detours and SEs. June 18th.

    Much love.

    Yay for Monica

    New knees for bending, walking,

    Easy gardening!

    Gage is still with us,

    Love, prayers and support were sent

    I think he feels them.

    They pulled the plug Thurs

    He decided not to leave

    So we wait and hope.
