Peeing myself that grammaB has a customer svc difficulty with zulily and she has taken it up with idesim. You see, otceb? I was right. Now, on top of her shitty day, idesim must field customer svc issues for zulily. She owns stock in zulily!
Really signing off to try to make it to the bathroom.

OOOOOh, Bobo, you are sounding better today, sorry about the painkillers. Good to hear you are at least sounding almost back to normal!
I'm sorry, but I am laughing at everyone yelling. The stress at Christmas is just awful. I am picturing DLLP shouting at you because you fell in the shower, and at Zills, who is getting exasperated and wants to F Christmas!
Bobo, my bites are just fine, the scalding really worked! LOL
I am still not sure what is happening about the Funeral, hopefully we will have Bec for at least a few days before she has to go to Sydney. I may even go too. I wouldn't mind catching up with the rest of the Family, we all still get on really well, but very rarely, if ever, see each other. Bec's Uncle is an Aussie icon, Singer, Actor, was the star of Jesus Christ Superstar, so whenever he and his band is playing nearby we go to see him. He's really our link to news of the rest of the family. Bec's Dad, my first ex husband was here at this time last year, right after my surgery. I think I told you, that both my ex husbands took my Dx very hard and both came to visit. My second ex was coming for one night and ended up staying for 4, that's how comfy we all are together. Colin really likes both of them, and they him! A lot of people don't "get it" but I think life is too short to hold grudges, and Bec is the glue between us all!
ldesim, what a nice looking cat. Black and white, my fave markings. Sorry about the busy day and the pounding head. I hope it is better now and you're snug as a bug! I feel the same way about our little group!
gB, we don't ever get a "sorry" credit here if they run out of stock. I have had an ongoing run in with our version of Zililly. I pay a yearly fee to get an early peek at the daily deals, but seem to still have the problem of not getting everything I order. We only ever get the amount we have purchased and the post refunded. I know it is really disappointing to have something cancelled.
Colin and I are going to battle the crowds and go to finish the shopping for Christmas. I have to get a new gas bottle for the "barbie", you never know who may call in over the break, so having an impromptu barbie is not unusual!
I'll catch you all later...M x

Hey Bobo, I just checked the previous page and there you are, wanting to marry me! LOL
I love everything French!
My birthday is the 9th!
Hi prb, so sorry you are still battling with your decision about which surgery to have. It's a tough call.
I had cording too, but no LE, yet. I started to massage the scar as soon as I had the dressing off after my Mx. I also did the PE exercises 4x every day, the first lot under the hot shower every morning. They are obsessive about you doing your exercises here. I wasn't allowed to lift my arms past shoulder height for, I think, 3 weeks, but I think my rib pain comes from the track where the drain was positioned. I can't find it exactly, it only hurts when I move into a specific position, but it hasn't changed in intensity in all this time. It can still catch me by surprise. I know that everyone is different in how they heal, but I think the constant massage stopped any adhesions from taking hold.
I am picturing you trying to load that tank into your car for a fast getaway! LOL

I can't text you because my phone is dead at the bottom of my handbag.. I don't know what the F I did with the charger. I'll sort it out in the AM. My bday is Aug 3.

You girls are hilarious and fantastic!!
Ariom, wow, the French, you are so worldly and so good for someone who probably never gets to practice it in Aussie land! I am sorry about your ex's mother, it would probably be nice to see his family. I'm glad you all get along so well, another testament to what a wonderful person you are!
bobo - I guess Ariom has always been popular and marriage material, with the 2 ex's and the boyfriend, it never stops!
Thanks for your post! And thanks for all the background on this group, the bracelets, OG (what a sweetheart, gramwe!), and sorry about all the medical issues you've had this year. I was wondering how come you had started this thread in March and just had surgery now, the other issues explain it I guess.
That's completely crazy about the pain meds, I hope you can take something tonight and can get your full prescription tomorrow.
And what's with the explanation of F??! OG is a lot more obscure than F, no explanation needed there!!!
PRB - glad to hear from you. Sorry about the indecision, please just try to think about it rationally and not emotionally. It's a big surgery! Great that you were relaxed for an hour this week, gotta love drugs!
gB - sorry about your zulily issues, I hope they get sorted out soon!
Idesim - thanks for the picture, what a cute cat, it cheers us up!
Sorry for the stressful Christmas for many here. I really can't complain, I did all my shopping before surgery, I've been wrapping during my time off, DH is baking (Hello Dolly squares, Chow Mein squares, and fudge!!), my son is excited, really, things are good!
Good night!

Hey All, This is how I am feeling about the holidays right about now !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have missed tons of posts and will try not to leave anyone out .........................
Saw the MO today, She tells me you are a Mystery ,we rarely get someone diagnosed with BC and Lymphoma (cancer of the lymph nodes ) at the same time so we are working on a comprehensive treatment plan. Mystery .......... I wanted to tell her to make it a love story and kiss my *ss !! At least I got stronger nausea pills and I finally think I am attempting to rebound from the flu .
So this evening my adult son (young 30's ) wants to have a discussion about my treatment plan . He then says well are you going to get Dolly Parton T*Ts? I said I am not going to get any T*TS. He says well you deserve Dolly Parton T*Ts and if you want them I am making good money now and I will buy them for you . I attempted to tell him my views on multiple surgeries and the fact that this is the 2nd time around for BC with me but I finally gave up and said " I realize you are still at the age where you are thinking with your little head and not your big head. One day you will think with your big head and T*Ts will become less important. Oh well ........his heart was in the right place....................
I am feeling like I need to multi task to get everything done for next week. Perhaps I could shove a broom up my A*S so I can sweep the floor at the same time I am running around cooking .
My 2014 resolution is to simplify my entire freaking life, get ride of it if I don't need it or it takes to long to clean........... cooking with less than 6 ingredients............. and vacuuming these pets as they walk by to cut down on the pet hair . DH wants to know if I am going to simplify him out of my life ........... I said well that depends on how long it takes you to fix this water leak ..............
But I am GRATEFUL for 2 things............................ This place to come and BITCH !!!! and MARIKA................................. (Thanks M)
Otceb - You had better get results when they told you !!! M is the resident Foobinesta (like fashionista, LOL) She has more knowledge than I will ever have
Granwe - Cracking up to finally know what OG stands for and glad he is better
Bobo- That Doctor had best given you whatever pain meds you need, I would have already been back to "days of my youth" and smoking pot to kill the pain !!
ldesim - We should notify Zulily that you are our official consultant and therefore you are entitled to a percentage of our total sales and free shipping always
Wren - You are amazing with the cat fosters. I could never do that as I would not be able to let them go !!
Zills - Take the eggs UNBOILED , have someone cook them and dress them !!! :-)

Can't you be still and heal a bit before a new project ??? Pleeeeze? Enjoy the holly daze???? Spoze not. It's Nov 14

Fiaranch... love the picture! too bad Christmas and holidays have to be so stress filled isnt it?? understand why you are anxious over being a mystery! hope they figure it out soon.
Ariom, I have been remiss about sending my sympathies to you and Bec. glad you all get along so well, well of course your ex hubbies were concerned about you, just shows what a great gal you are. glad your bites are under control.
Love the picture of the b/w cat, such a sweetie, my laugh for today was our Callie cat sitting in the heated water dish that had gone empty pretty smart! so dh with such a soft heart for animals puts it in her house that also has a heat lamp and lots of blankies, we also have a heated pad but she wont go in that house for some reason!
Granwe, glad og is doing a little better, hope you get your phone charged soon or bobo will be cutting you a new one!! Glad to see she is up to a little more like her old self, but why cant she get the pain control she needs?
PRB, nice to hear from you again, such a decision to make I know. hopefully you can find a satisfactory one soon and get things rolling!
GB, please keep your snow there until after Christmas! but we have predictions of snow on Christmas Eve and day, not supposed to be too much, but of course we get wind with it.
Zills, just take the eggs and boil them there, get some help! After all you and boy have a duty to see Santa doesnt crunch on the floor! Priceless! out of the mouths of babes for sure.

ldesim, what a cute kitty!!
PRB, take all the time you need to make your decision, you need to be able to live with it the rest of your life. LOL re the gas tank!! We take what relief we can get!
bobo, your Dad said that? Wow, he must have really been at a loss as to what to say. Awkward. You make me sound mean for asking ldesim about zulily. She has been dealing with them for longer than I have and I was just curious if she had seen this. Never meant to put any other pressures on her. It was just a question. If they want to cancel my order and give me $10, he11, I'll take it! I can't figure out any other explanation for it. Bday June 3.
Fiaranch, I love your sense of humor!! And I certainly appreciate your frustration around everything! Glad you got some meds to help the nausea. Peeing my pants at what you said to DS! I guess a guy has a hard time understanding a woman that is fine with being flat. Especially at his age! I so want to simplify my life, but when I start to think about what that would actually mean, I can't face all the work it would actually be!!
Ariom, I am so sorry about the ex's Mom. I especially feel bad for Bec. This has to be really hard for her. Might be a nice visit for you and more time with Bec to go to the funeral with her.
Still lightly snowing here. Should be nice and very white tomorrow morning and will probably have to do some shoveling. Going to one friend's house for Christmas Eve. They have a crab feast and caesar salad for dinner. Christmas Day going to her sister's house for dinner and gift exchange. They have pretty much adopted me since I moved here from CA 9 yrs ago. All my family is in CA and they have so many different directions to go at Christmas, I just decided not to get in that mix. My boxes of gifts are in the mail and I am done as far as shopping goes. I can retire to my hermit status in peace and quiet.

Oh my goodness, where did you all come from. I go out for a couple of hours and everyone has been here.
Merci beaucoup otceb, Merde! je dois arreter! That's all folks, I am done now!!!LOL My French is really awful, and disjointed, but I love to listen to it being spoken well.
I got everything done, new plants to soften the tumbled stone edging, some new solar path lights, lots of food and a cobweb broom with a really long extension handle. Although I have my range of movement back, it still doesn't take long for me to tire if I am reaching up, will it ever end? We have a loooooooong covered walkway from the garage and carport to the house that is loved by little spiders, so I have to make sure they are gone before Bec the Arachnophobe arrives. She is terrified of spiders, always has been. She can turn a tiny half inch spider into a 5" bird eater in her mind.
I had a laugh at the F explanation too! Too funny, I think if we all got together somewhere it would be the most outrageous party with so much laughing and cursing. I love that none of us gets offended. You're such a fantastic group, I love you all!
Fiaranch, I love that explanation to your Son too, so true. Dolly Parton tata's, I couldn't think of anything worse. I have this rogue "D" cup puppy to contend with, at times, but I couldn't imagine melons like those. But so sweet to offer to buy them for you! What a wonderful gesture.
I am concerned for you with your double whammy Dx too, what on earth are the chances of that? I wish you had such good odds for winning the lottery! LOL I hope it is sorted soon, at least you can feel better knowing, that since it is unusual, you will be very interesting to the Medicos so the treatment should be decided with a lot of input from different people.
I hope you have put the flu behind you, no pun intended, if that was a symptom! Take it easy if you can and get over it completely.
gB, glad to hear you've got your Christmas organized and you'll be with friends. Will you get a chance to see your family at all? It just gets so hard with distance. I have friends who are going nuts with the amount of travel they have to fit in, to accommodate everyone. I think it is just nuts, it's not fun for any one, when there is so much pressure.
I am looking forward to whatever time I get with Bec, and I will decide about going to the Funeral when I have more details. I have guests coming to stay for New Year so it may not work for me.
Although, that wasn't quite something you'd expect your Father to ask you after surgery, I have to admit I told people that I lost 975gms overnight and then put it on again pretty soon after, but I can't find the boob!
Zills, I hope you ended up taking the eggs to let someone else do them. I would have boiled them because I know I'd have ended up with a nasty mess if I hadn't cooked first!
Spookiesmom has got you pegged Bobo! We all knew as soon as you had the tiniest window, you'd be doing something, but a new project? Take it easy!!!!
gramwe, I hope all your shopping and cooking has worked out. How's our girl doing, just think, next year a baby to share Christmas with! Yay!!!
ndgirl, thank you! Although my ex Mother in Law was 90+ it is still a shock when they go. She, was an amazing woman who literally never really grew up. She was a Hippy, still driving her Combi Van till recently. It wasn't unusual for her to pack up and take off for warmer climes, picking up hitchhikers along the way. We were always terrified she'd pick up a serial killer, maybe she did, but they just let her go because she was so "Out There!" Who knows!
Dinner time here, Thai Red Chicken Curry and Coconut Rice on the coffee table tonight. There is a storm coming in, so we will probably watch that, instead of TV.
Stay warm everyone, I hope I didn't miss anyone...M x

Bobo, The really frustrating thing about the pain meds is that if you knew an addict, he/she could get what you need in about an hour and perhaps for less than at the pharmacy.
Otceb, My best friend is French Canadian, raised in Rhode Island. She makes those meat pies at Christmas too. She grew up speaking French. She went to the movie Jesus of Montreal and couldn't figure out why there were subtitles.
Idesm, Yes a very distinguished looking cat.
Flaranch, So funny about DS. Totally misguided but sweet and meaning well.
Ariom, Hugs for you and Bec. Must be really tough to lose both grandmothers in such a short time.
Bday is Oct. 25.
PRB, You might PM Beesie and ask about the effects of MX on LE. I think the risk is a little higher than with LX but I could be mistaken.

Well I neglected to submit the second part of post yesterday.I think I'm just going to mail each one of you a tin can and some string that is about the right ingredients for my communication skills. In my defense I limped away from the computer yesterday so I could begin a day of vomiting . I know TMI. My back has not recovered from the rabbit moving expedition, the MO wants an MRI, he's thinking mets. I'm thinking its F Femara, The GP isn't pushing me for testing he just wrote me a prescription for 240 pain pills with 4 refills, they make me ill. But I'm going to go with the GP until after the holidays and until after the OG is able to zip his fly on his own.
Bobo I'm so sorry you have had such a tough time, screaming DLLP, the MD, thrush, pain, bleeding, I'm thinking I need to come down there and straighten out the whole lot. Or at least swill beer with you. Are the children getting excited for Christmas? I miss having little ones at home during the holidays. Our grand baby is the size of 3 navel oranges, and is very active, I love watching Jessicas little belly roll from across the room, She has 9 weeks to go, I think it will be sooner, she looks like she is going to pop at any moment. She is still working both jobs, while the Weasel lounges around the house all day watching movies, then works about 5 hours in the evening. He makes my agent orange act up.
That sweet kitty looks just like my Fertie. his original name was Squirt but DGS1 had a speech problem when he was younger so the cat had a name change. Come to think of it both my cats had a name change due to that little guy. Everette, turned into Heavy too.
Submitting before it's lost

Who brought up the B word? Birthdays! Mine is Thursday, yeap I was a day after Christmas child, and my brother still hasn't forgiven me for screwing up his Christmas when he was 7,he's 61 now, talk about holding a grudge. Then the OG and I will celebrate our 29th anniversary on New Years Eve, we get it all done in 1 glorious week. That way he has no excuse for forgetting anything. Just so ya'll know his name is actually Greg, but mostly I call him the Old Goat, it is indeed a term of endearment. We have shared 32 years together, they weren't all wine and roses, but I wouldn't trade him. You know if I had killed him the first year I'd be out on parole by now...Sorry I drifted off into a day dream there...
I've been remiss in welcoming our new friends. Sorry you had to join us. This is a wonderful group of bad@sses. I don't think I could have made it through the last year without them. Each and everyone has brought something special into my life, and each one has taught me valuable lessons. I love you all. Okay enough of that mushy stuff.
The F Femara reared its ugly head in the pharmacy on Wed. My GP sent in one prescription by ipad, my second one was a controlled substance and had to be written on paper, OG had 2 from the hand surgeon, 1 controlled substance, 1 a new drug just put on the market also for pain. So we dropped all 3 off at the drive through window, Mr Personality like a post gave me grief over the OGs controlled substance. First he tells me it was against the law for them to fill it, since he had just had one filled for the exact medication a few days earlier, I called BS on him, he finally backs off the law argument and says the insurance wont pay. Fine I'll pay for it myself! So I go back an hour later, go inside to pick them up, hand them a drug manufactors coupon so the OGs new meds will be $20.00, I was trying to save the insurance company some money. They tell me that his aren't ready yet, I'll have to wait, their first mistake. I calmly explain to them that back in the day, you could walk into a pharmacy hand the 1 person that worked there a prescription and be on your way in 10 minutes, they weren't amused. So I took a seat and waited another 15 minutes. Finally they call the OG's name, I make my way to the window and remind the young lady that I also have 2 prescriptions, she begins digging through bins, running from one end of the pharmacy to the other, digging through more bins then returns to tell me they only have 1 for me, the one sent in with the ipad, their second mistake. Less calmly I explain that Mr Personality had taken my other one that started a flurry of activity. Finally the young lady says we have all 3 for Greg but just 1 for you. They had filled my controlled substance in his name, I became livid! They asked me to leave, return in 1 hour while they straighten out their mess, their 3rd mistake. I explain LOUDLY that the pills she is holding in her hand, in Gregs name are the ones that keep me from going over their protective counter and ripping their heads off their bodies. She asks me to take a seat, I refuse, yes I know, but I was angry and in a great deal of pain. I informed her that I would stand in her line, hold up her line, until they fixed their screw up, they moved faster. Mr Personality had excused himself from the pharmacy and made his way out the front door. Finally they hand me the bags, inform me that the insurance would not pay for one of his, not the one I had had trouble with in the beginning but the new one. their 4th mistake. She needed a doctor to aruthorize the medication ? ? ? ? A doctor had written the damn prescription wasn't that enough? Then she changes her tune and says the insurance company will not pay for that medicine it was too expensive, I had handed the twit a coupon in the beginning so it would be $20.00 as opposed to $350.00, she doesn't know how to make the coupon work..I yelled loudly...I left that one with them, told them when they removed their heads from their rectums and fixed their mess I would come back for the medicine. Luckily the surgeon had given us samples to get him through.I had not turned around during this time to see the 15 customers that had been glaring at the back of my head. I explained to them that when they hire employees with more sense than animal crackers their wait time will be decreased. I received applause, that really pissed off the pharmacy workers. It is now Sat, they have yet to call from the pharmacy, so guess where I'm going this morning...I should have taken 2 F Femara last night!

Geeezzzeeee I didn't realize my pharmacy experience would turn into a novel. Sorry. I needed to rant..
So who's having a White Christmas? I know Ms M isn't shes basking in the heat, swatting mossies and biting flies. Bobo and Spookiesmom are probably in flip flops. We have a 0% chance of snow. In fact its very warm right now with rain, thunderstorms and possible tornados for tonight and tomorrow. Just what I wanted for shopping. No I still haven't started shopping...I have a list, know what I'm going after, and have alternatives if my first choice isn't to be found. Then I have to do grocery shopping for Christmas dinner, guess I best get it done today too. But first I have to drag the OG out of bed.
In case I can't borrow a computer again in the next few days, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and if you aren't a Christmas celebrator then I wish you a wonderful Wednesday. Love you all, and know I'm always lurking. HUGS

Granwe you need to go handle Bobo's script! Hopefully she has what she needs now. I'm lucky my pharmacy is very sympathetic. It's the d@mn doctor that screwed mine up.
Baby has a cold. Boy excited about his regifted gift. A tub of geo trax trains from his cousin. He's outgrown them and there's not a better gift except those 4 wheelers he wants.
I did send the unboiled eggs last night. DH had to fix the shower at my sisters house or there would have been 10 using one this morning.
Everyone clean and dressed except me. I better get crackin. I'll catch up later.

Wow gram we! Some pharmacy! Had similar experience at Walgreens, won't go there any more, even for non rx stuff.

Granwe, you are a drugstore cowboy and pharmacy hero. I am thrilled to hear from you. I am very concerned about your vomiting, however. When are they going to test you? After Christmas? I just want to hear that it's a virus. Excellent score on pain pills with four refills. How is your pain level, though? Excellent update on our baby, little bobo. Nine weeks sounds like nothing! I cannot wait. Will Jessica move in with you?
Fiaranch, did you really say 'little head instead of big head'? You are excellent. I am concerned about your unique diagnosis -- no one likes to be called a mystery. I say F that MO and go to a super-good place that is used to dealing with complex cases -- hopkins, or dana farber, or mayo, or something like that. Sloan-kettering. At the very least, even if it's just too much to do all that, you can get a second opinion at one of those places. They do it all the time. And they can coordinate a treatment plan with your home hospital. You really don't need to be sitting there listening to some MO saying 'Oh, my. This is difficult and complicated.' That is stress-inducing.
Otceb, B1tch means 'bitch.' I am going to educate that girl one word at a time. It takes a village.
If someone kissed my ass with mistletoe on it, they would see a mess of bruises. Idesim's phone is broken but I sent her a text picture of one of them. So when she gets it working again, she will have a juicy picture of my ass on it. If I knew how to post a picture here I would do it now. It is spectacular looking. Best bruise ever.
A, love the story of your exes. New ones, you should know everyone loves our Ariom. Even Barry the postman. He brings her presents when he comes for giving the mail, and stays for tea, and hopes for a site of her in her dressing gown. Our Ariom charms the pants off of everyone, she is a ghost-faced killer of charm. But do not get on her bad side if you work in a shop.
Z has not dressed the eggs! Hooray! That feels like a victory. Kids at movies with my parents, DLLP getting my present and I hope she will go to a movie too. So I am going to lie down. Birdie, you are so right about that. I do not know any addicts. And I never smoked pot. Sure wish I lived in one of those special states right now. XXX

Wow, great posts!
gramwe - sorry about the prescription screw up (or, for bobo's gentle heart, sc@# up). What an adventure! So your daughter is expecting, from what I gather? That's great, another grandchild! So lovely the story of you and OG and funny about the first year kill! LOL
ndgirl- glad you can enjoy the fine cuisine of Manitoba with chinese food! Your DH sounds like a sweetheart with his love of animals.
Fiaranch - sorry about your dx, that's not fun. At least they know what it is now, hopefully you get all the good care you deserve. Good luck! And thanks for the rant! Your DS is funny, like the others said, he probably means well but he's somewhat clueless about your frame of mind too!
bobo - ah, so nice of you to educate stupid me, what would I do without you?! Sorry about your bad ass, I mean your a55.
Wren - sorry you know a French Canadian We're known for not having class and for stupid Celine Dion (sorry if anyone likes her). Small world that you in WA and I have this connection!
Ariom - bon matin! Stay cool and out of the path of these flies!
For the MT, KY, WA, ND, FL and SC ladies, you're not missing anything about this snow. Not sure what you're getting this weekend, Idesim, but here it's freezing rain, which is just crap! Anyway, not sure if Toronto will still have snow left by Christmas, but I should have some in Montreal.
Cheers!

I just have to join this Forum. Had my left mx on December 18th, precisely one year after Ariom (she so kindly pointed that out for me). I am not having reconstruction and have recovered very well. They had me out of hospital 6 hours after surgery. Often done like that in Canada. I was just as happy to get out of there where all the germs are anyhow. Had to stay overnight in a beautiful hotel suite as I live out of town and they did not want me driving that far yet. Probably as many germs in the hotel room but better ambience. Recovery has been uneventful so far. I love reading this forum. Hope I can contribute as much to you gals as your responses have been the rock that has gotten me thus far. Ariom, may we celebrate many anniversaries together
0 -
Hey TB90! Welcome! How great to see you!
I am so glad to hear you are recovering well. I stayed in a Hotel the night before my surgery because I live over an hour from the Hospital and my Surgeon. You got out faster than me. I stayed overnight, but could leave first thing the next morning.
It is so new for you, try to take it easy. We all overdid it and all suffered the same consequences, so we are all here for advice should you need it. There are rather a lot of weird sensations that come and go.
I am looking forward to spending many Anniversaries together too! M x

Granwe - People clapping that's awesome just like that old "Norma Rae" movie you go girl !!!
Wren - I had to go to Petsmart today and I walked past the animals for adoption. I am a sucker for calico's and torties. They had the cutest little tortie , thankfully when I walked back the 2nd time she was being adopted !! wheew !
grammaB- That crab fest sounds amazing !!! I am so what near you (Colorado). I hope we do NOT get a white Christmas, the cold so far this year has been enough for me
Otceb and TB90 - Have you bought any Marika yet? Several of us are hooked on it !! I think they make a cashmere line as well :-)
Spookie - Hope you are still feeling ok after the last incident
Bobo - Regarding the MO . She is actually good however . Its the freaking waiting that we have ALL had to go through for cancer. I am now waiting for more genetic test results and bone marrow biopsy results (I hope none of you here ever have to have that awful test). So all results are supposed to be in when I go back on January 3rd. They had better be in (unlike poor otceb) or I am going to be one AWW (angry white woman) . Yes I did tell my DS "little head instead of big head". We have a great but different relationship. I think he is still suffering from the shock of XMAS when he was 13 and I put condoms in his stocking. He was mortified and I said well you just never know................. He now tells me he is "planful" and does not need any stocking stuffers !
Ok all ......................... Let the baking begin !!!

Woke up to 6" of fresh snow with some still lightly falling. Shoveled my porches and a path to the garage. Some sun came out in the afternoon for a bit and everything was so sparkly and pretty. It has clouded over again and predictions are for some more snow tonight and snow showers throughout the day tomorrow. I expect we will be having a white Christmas here. Oh, and no claw from the shoveling!!
So this morning I check my email and there is a note from zulily. They apologized for the cancellation of the item and yes the $10 is a gift! Since I had paid upfront with PayPal, they will also be crediting the $29.99 for the shoes. So now another $10 in my zulily account to spend! In all my experience with online shopping, I have never had a vendor issue a credit/gift for an item that was cancelled. zulily sure has it figured out how to keep their hooks in someone!
Ariom, glad you have gotten your yard all squared away. It sounds lovely! Not a big spider person here either! No, I won't see family this Christmas. We'll FaceTime on the computer Christmas Day but no actual visits.
gramwe, so sorry about the throwing up, hope that is better now. OMG, the drugstore experience! Of all the stupid excuses and run arounds and out and out s¢rew ups!! And you called them on all of them!! No wonder people applauded you! Hope you got your shopping done before the weather hit.
Zills, good on you for just sending the eggs!! Sorry the baby is sick again, poor thing, hope she is better before Christmas.
bobo, so glad you are getting some quiet time to yourself so you can get some quality resting in! Hope by now you have adequate pain meds and are resting comfortably.
TB90, welcome to our little group!! Glad you are healing well!

What a huge read this morning. I have so much to do, but here I am lingering at the computer...again!
I have to try to do the Rites, have a shower, breakfast and then computer! I can't walk past it without having a peek at who has been here while I've been sleeping.
Wren thank you for the hugs , I do feel for Bec, she loved all her Grandmothers, she has had 4 would you believe, but this one is the last to pass. There are no Grandfathers left either.
gramwe, so glad to see you here again, but F that experience in the Pharmacy. I can picture you trying to hold yourself back from clearing that counter and giving them a F Femara roar!
I am sending positive thoughts to you for this testing you have to have, and I agree, I reckon it is the F Femara too!
Three oranges? that's a weird one, but I am so thrilled that she is doing well, but that creep is lying around watching movies all day, and working 5 hours? Puleeeeze! I guess it could be worse, he could be lying around watching movies day and night. I can imagine how his lack of motivation must grate on you something chronic. Lots of love and hugs to our girl!
Good luck with the shopping and Merry Christmas to you and yours!
otceb, I have acquired heaps more repellant, not that I didn't already have several different kinds, so I will make sure I am always covered!
Bobo, I am glad to see things are returning to somewhat normal in the tiny house. You're going to get a present and the children are out of the house at the movies. I haven't had the good fortune to get a picture of your bruised ass in an email..what's up with that?
You are sounding a bit more like yourself, which makes me very happy, we have been very worried about you.
I know you love stories about my ex's. I have had long conversations with them both this week. I am still finding and sending vintage cowboy shirts to the 2nd, he is an eclectic dresser and wants to come stay after Christmas, if you remember he came for an overnight right after my surgery and stayed for 4 days. If he hadn't had to go back to work I think he'd still be here. He went home and looked at a house that was for sale 2 doors up from here on the internet. I nearly had him for a neighbor! LOL
The 1st is a lovely guy, they both are. Unlike the 2nd, he went on to marry again and has given Bec 2 half brothers who she is in contact with.
Speaking of Barry the delivery man, he brought Colin a jar of his famous Chilli relish. I have to be careful not to get it on my hands when I make Colin's lunch with it because it is lethal! Barry just makes it, he doesn't eat it, and he loves that Colin likes it so much. Colin has chillis on everything. Barry brings his Olives for me! I must remember to buy him some nice beer for Christmas.
Posting before it disappears.....M x

Spookiesmom, you had a similar experience to gramwe, and Bobo. I can't say I've had an issue here.
I kid you not, but Singapore is the most lenient prescription drug place I have ever been. When I was in Hospital there I couldn't believe what they kept trying to get me to take, and Colin came home with enough pain medications to start his own Pharmacy after his hip operation.
gB, it sounds like you have a lovely peaceful chocolate box view to look at. I love that frosted look of unmarked snow.
I have a few plants to get in this morning and I am done, except that the high winds have blown a lot of leaves and dust in so I have a huge sweep up to do again. I had already done it, and hosed down all the paved areas. Now it all has to be done again.
Well done with the Zulilly, that's a great incentive! It is a bit like a poker machine that gives a little win every so often just to keep you there! LOL
WooHoo to you for not getting the "Claw" from your shoveling, that's another milestone!
Fiaranch, you crack me up! Condoms in the stocking! LOL and you're trying to corrupt the new ones into Marika already! There will be a 50% off clearance soon, I can feel it in my bones! For those who are interested, I have a "MarikaMoire" now, I have bought so much of the stuff it has to have its very own space! If I could post pics I would, this is a beauty and it is close to the "FoobMoire".
I just checked the clock and it is almost 12.00pm, I must go, sorry if I have missed anyone. I'll be back later..M x

Welcome to tb90, we are a wild bunch here from all over the world, glad to have you but sorry you have to join this club. Sure sounds like you are healing well. Great!!
Gramwe, I have been laughing all day about your reference to being out on parole, OMG, can I steal that line?? I always tease dh when he gets sassy about an old g. friend and I just tell him " yea, and I am serving her life sentence"! We have been married for 47 years, had alot of bad and good, but guess more good cause we are still here!! Would have loved to hear the applause at the pharmacy! you have the best stories... keep them coming.. update on baby coming was nice, but what kind of a weasel lays around all day?? needs a swift kick!
Been running all day but had a good time, but now tired out.. tea and more Christmas lites and good chocolate from Canada, was there again today!! dh and I always have a Canadian Christmas shopping day, we dont go looking for anything special or big, just to find some little things that arent around here for us. Hubby had a lump removed from his neck/jaw yesterday, so we are hoping fiercely that it is nothing.. not sure we could handle 2 cancer diagnosis in one year, but not borrowing trouble, thinking very positive.
GrammB, your friends Christmas sounds wonderful, friends are so important in our lives, enjoy your day with them.
Hi to everyone... dont mean to exclude anyone.. just love each of you and your life experiences! Oh, whoever asked about birthdays... mine is August 17.

Just planted and watered in the new stuff, and saw you'd been back gB.
I have the tummy control in the long pants and the capris. I really like them, but haven't tried the bermudas!
I am wearing the black capris with a sleeveless T right now and I am sweltering. The humidity is 83%..yuck!
Check back later....M x

Gotta look up Marika and figure out how to put a picture on here. Will get my dh or ds to help me. It is minus 35 degrees celsius here tonight. Could use some of that cashmere!

Hi! Welcome TB90, my fellow Canadian! These ladies have welcomed me with open arms, and entertained me a lot which is so important! They are the best and are very wise, what a gem of a group! Good luck in your recovery, I hope you can rest a lot over the holidays. Good luck with the drain(s) (I assume you have some?), they are a temporary annoyance.
gB - great news about no claw from shovelling! You must have been diligent with all the stretches and must be well healed! I'm glad you found a good circle of friends in MT. Any trips planned to CA next year?
Fiaranch - You're one of those mothers!! :-) Good for you for preparing and educating your son, that's fantastic! I hope you go through the holidays without thinking about the results waiting for you in Jan, you have had enough bad news lately.
Hmm, Marika, eh?! I have to admit to you expert shoppers, that I have never bought anything online. Except music and one book, and some trips. I am SOOO old fashioned, I need to see, feel, try on, before I buy clothes! So unless Marika is sold somewhere in a Canadian store... I don't think I will be joining the fan club... But if it's a requirement for posting on this thread, I will re-consider... Forgive me? Pretty please?!
ndgirl - glad Canada provides good shopping. Here in the east, we usually hear the reverse - Canadians travelling to the US for good deals!
Ariom - thanks for the stories about the ex's. You know, your life seems to be rich enough to write a book?! And with all the pearls of wisdom and humor you would throw in, it could be a best seller! Then you could come to North Am and we could help you with the launch, and give us an excuse to meet!
I think I have lymphedema - my arm that has cording has been red for 2 days, and I now have a big lump in my armpit. Lovely (bobo, please throw in a few swear words, the village has not educated me yet). Of course, with my great hospital closed for 2 weeks for cost cutting measures (yes, American friends, Canada has great healthcare but it's not perfect), I'm on my own to find someone who can see me on short notice. From a quick internet search, there seems to be a private clinic in my neighbourhood which deals with lymphedema. Probably covered under my company benefits. I'll call on Monday and hope they can see me. In the meantime, I'm continuing the stretching exercises. I think all our stories have some element of "you got to take care of your own health" meaning that, other than Ariom's great hand-holding experience, we have to fight to get the care and answers we need. But this group is thankfully resourceful enough to fight the good fight!
