Ack!! 83% humidity!!!  I don't deal well with humidity at all!!  I'd be inside with the a/c on all the time!

otceb, yeah, I do a lot of stretching.  Walking around the house I'll do the chicken wing stretch, I'll do the broom handle above head stretch (w/out broom) while sitting at the computer.....any time I take a break, I'll do some stretching.  I guess that has really helped.  If anything was going to give me the Claw it would be shoveling snow!!

OT. Google lymphedema massage on YouTube. There are some great videos and may give you some relief.

And no marika isn't a requirement. Not all of us have been bitten by that bug. I would recommend trying them on as the size chart runs small per Ariom before ordering. It's just they are very comfortable and we love a good sale.

    Good luck.

Hi otceb, Thanks for the kind words. I turned 60 this year, so that's why I have lots of stories.LOL I was lucky to be a young adult in the 70's, which I wouldn't change for the world and I was in the right place at the right time, for great opportunities in jobs.

I am wondering if your underarm lump, is the arm that had the most nodes removed. I only had the one node removed, but even now, I still have a large lump under that arm, and it is completely numb. I don't have an other signs of Lymphedema, but I am convinced that any messing about with those nodes is far more uncomfortable than any of the other Mx stuff. I hope it isn't LE that you have, but getting it checked is the right thing to do.  Good Luck!

Boy, I wish I had managed to keep my travel benefits with United, I was just 15 months short of retirement, on full benefits when they made us all redundant! ScaredI would have been there in a heartbeat!

I don't know if Marika is sold in Canada, but I discovered it by accident when they had a 50% off the already reduced clearance stock. I had been researching bras and foobs, looking for suitable clothing to accommodate my new body. My pet hate is the "Prosthesis, fall forward! That is when you lean forward with a prosthesis in a Mx bra and the weight of the Silicone Boob falls forward revealing he empty space all the way to your waist!

I discovered their sports bras which have small removable pads in them. I found one style which was like a crop top and I could put a microbead foob in its pocket. It is really comfortable as a casual alternative to the heavy silicone Boob.

From there I bought the yoga pants and the zip front active wear jackets, tops and the capris and the leggings. I had a problem at first with the sizing, as did the others, but I now just buy everything in the L & XL, and they are fine. The prices, when on sale, are extraordinary, $9.00 for the bras, and $10.00 for the pants which both run at about $60.00 each normally. The $60.00 jackets go for around $12.00 on sale, and they  look and feel great with the other pieces. I wear this range most of the time, but I have a very relaxed life now, so don't have to dress up much during the day any more.

Ndgirl, you and your great chocolate! I have just finished the Hazelnut fudge I bought yesterday for Christmas!  I hope I can stay away from the rest of it. LOL

I still find it so "Exotic" that you go to Canada for your "Special" shopping! M x

Granwe, We'll have a toast to you on New Years Eve, it's our anniversary also. This will be 53 for us. Yes, we were children and I was a teen Mom.

I've been trying to persuade DH to go to Vancouver for a weekend. I want to shop their consignment shops. And we love the UBC museum. I also like to shop the native art. We talked to the manager at one place who said the piece we were looking at was by the son of a famous carver. He's buying his work at a young age so he'll still sell it to him when he's famous.

You might look around for the Marika. I've found it in 2 places here. And I really need to try it on. I like the xercision at JC Penney because they make it in petite.

I've discovered what an addict I've become. We didn't have internet until late tonight and I was in serious withdrawal.

otceb:  In Canada, we have Lululemon (or something very close to this), that is very similar to Marika.  I just checked out Marika on-line.  The CEO of Lululemon just resigned after commenting that "some" women should not wear their line of clothing.  Did not go over very well and for the sake of his organization, thought he better leave.  There are stores in most major centres and then you can feel, smell, touch, etc. :)  I am like you and have not yet ordered anything other than a dishwasher on line.  Oh and books also.  I am afraid if I get started, it could be BAD.

    TB90 ,

As Zills said Marika is certainly no requirement to post here , LOL . It does seem a lot of us like to shop.  I love Lululemon and have a few pieces , its just so expensive.  Thankfully Wren pointed out to me that several of their yoga pants are see through so I wont be buying any of those !!! LOL.

Today is baking day............  I hate it when the damn cake sticks to the bundt pan !!! DS says what happened to the cake . I said I F'ed it up just for you Merry Christmas !!! Then I hear him calling DH and saying "heads up  she is sweating and swearing again " LOL .................

Good Morning from wet and soggy Aus land!

A friend, who's Mother lives on the Island, dropped off some all natural repellant for insects that he is marketing in Florida, for me to try. I got out there last night and sprayed everywhere, then it started to bucket down after I went to bed. The whole garden was smelling a bit like salad dressing, the main ingredient being Garlic oil! It has likely all gone in the rain now.

TB90, I had a good look at LuluLemon too, but found the prices prohibitive, and I think the sizing in that range runs very small too. What a silly comment for that stupid man to make about who should wear their range, he was in the wrong job!  If they were smart, they'd be doing a plus size, which would actually fit normal size women, who like to dress in this kind of casual comfortable way. I've never understood this crazy under sizing nonsense. Marika profess to fit size 16 to 18 in their size XL, that is 18 to 20 in Aus sizing, I am usually about a 14 in Aus and I find that a lot of the Marika tops are way too small. I have such a differing size range in my wardrobe, it's madness.

I don't know what I'd do without my online shopping. It is cheaper for me to shop in the US, have it sent to a holding place and have it all sent as freight here, than to buy the same items here in Aus! I buy a lot of new cosmetics and skincare on US Ebay because the price difference is extraordinary.

    Wrenn, 53 years! Congratulations!

Well, the countdown is on for me with one more sleep till my Bec arrives tomorrow evening. I'll finish up the food shopping today for tomorrow night, which is our big celebration night. At least, with all this rain, I won't have to drag that sprinkler around, and hopefully the automatic one will go in early in the New Year.

Hugs to everyone, Fiaranch, I love the "Sweating and Swearing!"

    Take care...catch you later..M x

CARP!!! Just lost a long post!  Now will have to recreate it..... grrrrrr

No new snow here today, but the clouds look like they are ready do dump some any time.  It hasn't melted off the branches of the trees so it really looks a lot like Christmas around here.

Wren, 53 years, wow that's quite an achievement! Congrats to you and DH!

TB90 I remember hearing about the see through bottoms from lululemon.  What an odd thing for the CEO to say!  Speaking of being able to smell items, I got a pair of burgundy leggings in my last shipment from zulily and they reek of some kind of chemical!!  I washed them and they still reek, they are hanging outside to see if the air will help, then back in the laundry again. They smell like lighter fluid or something equally foul!  I hope the rest of the leggings I have coming are like the first ones I got.

Fiaranch, I laughed out loud at the "sweating and swearing" warning!!

Ariom, yes garlic is supposed to repel bugs, but who really wants to go around smelling like garlic bread all day??? Oh, maybe I misunderstood, is it for the plants??  I do far more shopping online than I do in person.  I don't especially like the crowds or the long drive.  All in all, I've had pretty good success.

Well, better get the garbage hauled up to the end of the road, before these clouds decide to dump some snow.

    Hugs to all!

I'm a card carrying member of the sweating and swearing club! I also yell. Good thing we live in the country!

Yesterday was long. No naps for anyone. Kids had a blast. Boy with trains, skates and a r/c car. Baby with doll, stroller and wagon with blocks.  Played games, ate too much and had my hair chalked by my niece.

Last night had bad storms. Power went out. Worried about the d@mn turkey and Irish fry. It came back on in time.

Today boy going back to my sisters because I have an ultrasound scheduled early tomorrow. He asked if Christmas came, would we save his presents?

So glad Bec is coming. Hope the garlic works.

53 years is long. Any advice?

Figured I'd pop my end in to say hello while resting my feet.. but the baking is pretty much all done... if I never see another sheet of parchment paper or bag of confectioner's sugar I'll be a happy happy girl.

Zils, the wedding cookies came out SO good.. I made myself sick from eating them last night along with the anise cookies.. had to make more batches today :)    Only did 4 types of cookies this year, I usually add chocolate chip to the mix, but didn't this year.  Seem to have extra somehow, so I'll drag some into work tomorrow.

We also did 10 pans of coffee rolls.. I'm feeling a little sick now from tasting them along with the additional cookies today. GB you'd be in a coma from glaze on the coffee rolls, but they are so damn good!  We have enough dough for about 3 more pans of rolls which I'll do on Tuesday to bring to my mother and grandmother. The ones we made today will go to a couple of neighbors, I'll bring some into work and to my both my SILs.

Skimmed over the posts from the last couple of days..  and was excited to see a Granwe post, but unhappy that both you and the OG are in so much pain.  I too think your pain is from F femara.. but will be happy when you've been scanned.

Sorry to hear about Bec's grandma, so sad the last grandparent as well.  Give her hugs from us when you see her.

GB!!! Racking up the cash from Zulilly! I am so jealous.. no they have never cancelled anything on me, I didn't realize they did it.

Fia, as usual you have me laughing between your BS sandwiches and your F'd up cakes.

Holy shit Wren, 53 years... what the heck, were you 8?  I'm one of the longest married in my age group at 25 years.

M, I am cracking up over your stinky garden... I sure hope that stuff works and I'm so happy that you'll have your Bec home very shortly :)  I hope the humidity goes away.. I can't even imagine a humid Christmas LOL!!

TB, stay away from the internet shopping.. I am an addict and it does get bad.  Mind you, I am not as sorry a case as Ariom or GrammaB though... no matter what  Bobogirl, might try to tell you, remember she's on meds currently :)

Otceb, I am sorry you are having difficulties.. and I sure hope you don't have lymphedema, keeping fingers crossed.  I think Ariom should write a book too.. she could be the next Martha Stewart I think.. oh one condition, you will have to buy it online!!  We will break you eventually we are very bad influences.

Ndgirl, we're close on Bdays... go Leo!  When do you find out about hubby's lump?  Thinking positively with you!!!  I haven't been to Canada since we had a school trip to Quebec a million years ago, and I am pretty close too.

If anybody is wondering if Bobogirl did indeed send me a picture of her bruised ass.. well I dunno.. I thought it was the back of her arm LOLOL!  The bruise is spectacular however, I can't comment on the ass as I'm not sure that's what it is :)

That's as far as I read back.. you all are a bunch of mouthy broads.. I think we are now averaging a page and a half a day :)

I'll try to come back later.. but I fear tonight will be like last night where I passed out on the sofa and woke up at 3 AM wondering where the hell I was.

Zils, I am with you... F Christmas... I am so over it now!!

OK, I have been mostly enjoying listening in on your wonderful world-wide community of live-wire women.  I have wanted to post a reply so many times, but my cell phone will not cooperate.

I am taking time today because I just cannot wait any longer to tell you what a joy it is to be in a circle of noisy, outspoken, frank women with breast cancer who have such incredible senses of humor.

I repeated the pharmacy story to my 21 year old son who has SEVERE ADHD (and dyslexia).  I reminisced about how when he was 7 to 10 I thought I was going to DIE every time I had to go the pharmacy because there was ALWAYS a problem and a long, long wait.  And I was usually there with my boy who had no more meds in his system....because it was after school OR I could not get the triplicate refill for meds until he was almost out or actually out.  My son with ADHD, named Dash (LOL---that is what CAUSED the ADHD, right?!) says to me yesterday, "Well, you should have just sat down and let me do my ADHD thing--running all over the store, singing at the top of my lungs, picking up everything I liked and yelling, Mama, can I have THIS? And THIS? And THIS?.  And they would have SCRAMBLED to get me my meds."  We were cracking up.

And who was it that shared the baking day with DS yelling to DH, "Heads up.  She is sweating and swearing again!"  Cracked me up.  I have just started on Arimidex Dec. 2 and, first, no sleep every other night and, then, nausea and hotflashes (at 64!) when I switched to AM dosing.  My engine runs hot already, so I am soooo in trouble.  I hope tonight when my wonderful, bright, funny but Type A daughter arrives that I can help her look for the sweaty look and realize that means GROUCHY GRINCH has arrived and watch out; do not take personally.

I think "in the bag" means your support for each other in difficult medical appointments where someone might not take the time to understand?  At first I thought it meant time to sleep.  (I am sleeping soooo much since my surgery and seem to do much better on 10-11 hours than my usual 8.  Now if I can figure out this Arimidex problem....)

And Wren and Granwe and....someone else....with long marriages, even if one of you would be on parole now from year one murder almost.....LOL.....WOW, good for you.  Long marriages that work are amazing to me.  I have been part of helping so many couples get over major hurdles that almost ended marriages and ended up richer for the trouble they dealt with.  But my own.....well...

Just to say a bit about myself....

Got married late in life as I knew I had "daddy issues" and "mommy issues."  And did not have good sense in who I was attracted to.  But had the good sense not to marry them.  But I also did not marry a slew of great guys that actually were true blue, loving and lovable men.  Finally married at 37.  Whoops.  So, my husband and I have been trying to divorce for almost two years, after more than two decades of marriage.  But we have had three cancer surgeries between the two of us in that short time.  I told God, "Look, if you are trying to send us a message to work this out, forget it.  This divorce is long overdue and you know it!   Do NOT send us another distraction if you what's good for you."  God looked down and said, "I don't know what it is.  But something about you just irritates the hell out of me."

Just want you all to know that I am getting to know the whole slew of you and enjoying the company.  Between work, sleep (and now trying to sleep!) and my cell phone not able to email you, I will likely be seemingly MIA, but know I am following as best I can.

And I am now a Zulily fan.  (Thanks a lot!!! Said with sarcasm. LOL)  But you won't ever find me in Marika.  Size 1/2 40DD now (with weight loss---from 42F) and 1/2 concave.  I mean, I would make what that idiot ex-CEO of Marika look valid.  And I would NOT want to do that, thank you very much.)

Glad Bobo started this.  And glad Bobo's spunk is back onboard, even if you are not feeling so great....yet.  And, I, too, am looking at 1/2 flat or flat (prophylactic mastectomy other side) or reconstruct.

    Any of you ILC pleomorphic?

hi all, well it's emergency situation here in Toronto (although we have not called in the army yet like we did during an infamous snowstorm years ago that made us the laughing stock of the country): about 300,000 people without power, including me. No power since last night and we're told it might not be back until Christmas! Just due to lots of freezing rain, fallen branches, downed power lines. Anyway, we are now in a hotel downtown and making the most of it after waiting 1.5 hrs to check-in (lots of other families in the same situation). All is good, we did not have much going on so no issues. But interesting day! And it might get less fun if it lasts until Wed...anyway hoping we have power at some point tomorrow.  Ok, sending this now before i lose it on the ipad.

Oops, did not realize that Lululemon was so expensive.  You can tell that I have not actually shopped there . . . just dropped off DS's girlfriend in front of the store a few times.  Now the real question, does everyone shop at Marika so that they have clothes to work out in or is it that they just look so damn good on!!   I am living in a deep freeze and some of you are in a heat wave, so what do you do to exercise?  And I refuse to go snow shoeing.  I suddenly want to up the exercise as soon as I can now that I have this diagnosis.  Worse yet, cut back on the wine.  Bloody hell, what is my world coming to :)  But the Sound Of Music is on in half an hour and it will be the 50th time I have seen it.  I was four years old when my mom dragged me to the big city to see this movie and I am certain that I have seen it every year since, at least once.  I played every song on the piano as a child and then visited the filming cites in Europe.  I am completely hooked.  DH may even join me this year as he is being sooooo nice.  Hope he returns to normal soon as it is a bit weird.  He is amazing and wonderful, but has not watched this movie with me for years.  I will let you all know how long he lasts.  And I have saved a glass of wine for this occasion.  Oh, and I love Celine Dion.  I will have to scroll back to see who that was that was dissing my Celine.  And a French Canadian yet! :))))

welcome hollyboo! Sorry about the pharmacy experiences with your son, glad you enjoyed gramwe's story. Sorry also about your marriage, good luck with the divorce proceedings, i hope they go as smoothly as possible.

Ariom, so funny about your smelly garden!  Really bad timing with the rain, I guess. Hope you get to try the repellent again, maybe it works! Thanks for the feedback on lymphedema, not 100% sure i have it since my fingers are not swollen, but it does hurt. I had about 4 sentinel nodes removed on each side -the only thing the surgeon told me right after sx, other than everything went well, is that i had more sentinel nodes than normally people have (1 or 2 per side is average i think). At that time, she said it did not mean anything regarding BC, but just interesting. And yes, it is the infamous right side that is swollen, that had 1 node with some cancer cells. Anyway, i hope to see someone tomorrow, i'm back on painkillers (tylenol extra strength), can barely sleep, and don't like it!

gB, you're my hero with stretching!

Thanks all for not making Marika a prerequisite for the thread. But the deals you mention are quite interesting!! We shall see if i let myself get tempted...!

Tb, yes i know Lululemon, hate the jackass ex CEO, and it is pricey!

Congrats to all the ones with long marriages, you are troopers. I'm happy i have not been disappointed in DH since the BC dx, it's looking good.

My bday is Aug 12, another boastful Leo with big hair (for now!).

Idesim, that baking sounds so yummy! I hope you don't get this freezing rain, snow would be better.

Gotta post, dh back with son from swim at hotel pool.

otceb:  How awful about your weather! I better call my family there and see how they are making out in Oakville.  I heard about bad weather on the east coast, but did not know about TO.  Thank goodness you are at least in a hotel.  What a rotten time of year (as though there could be a good time) for this to happen.  Let them call in the army.  Everyone that does not live in TO wants to be so hard on Torontonians.  We lived there also for four years.  I was surprised to discover that people were actually just like everywhere else.  But I did find out that snow and ice there is horrible and does shut down the city and roads.  It is different due to the humidity.  The western provinces think they are so tough and know how to cope with the cold, but most of them have never encountered an ice storm in Ontario.  So I say call in the help and do not apologize for a second. I will do my best to defend TO :)

    Welcome TB and Hollyboo!

I am boycotting lululemon because of the as$hole CEO, who doesn't make larger sizes and who said A$Shole things about that, and then who also said some other AS$hole things.  Plus, yes, it is expensive, but I will not buy one thing there.

Boycotting Marika!  My entire package came too small, and I had measured and consulted the chart and everything!  So that's the update on that.

OTceb,  F0ck me!  Sh1tballs!  FFFF lymphedema!  I do not think you are stupid -- I think you are a delicate flower, and I tease. Of course, there are many threads about that, and many experts on those threads.  Z, are you having a sleeve?  A  tie-dye sleeve? Tell me more.

Gramwe, peeing myself with your comment about parole.  Happy anniversary coming up!  And congratulations Wren!  I agree -- you must have been eight.  M, what do you make with the chili sauce when you don't touch it?  I am wishing for some of your thai food.  I am really wishing for thai food.  they just don't have it here.  I haven't really eaten much since sx -- small container of applesauce, vegan pudding, coconut popsicles, etc.

Otceb, so sorry about your snowstorm!  Sounds terrible.  Spookie, what's going on with spookie?  What is she having for Christmas?  I do not have flip flops on. I have special pink fuzzy socks that were sent to me by our Idesim.  I wear them, and then wait for them to come out of the wash, and then wear them.  XXX

Wow, another new member! Welcome Hollyboo! I had no idea there were so many people reading our nonsense! So glad you could join us, and I hope your phone responds when you want to post! I love the rundown, especially God's irritation, I laughed out loud and read that out to Colin!

Yes, we have been jumping "In the Bag" for each others appointments since we got together here. We misbehave, a lot of the time, with Bobo swilling beer, and our Zills sleeping on my shoulder and dribbling while she was enduring chemo. ldesim is the organizer, and gramwe and her F Femara, is the hair trigger if anyone gives us a hard time! ndgirl, Wren and, gB have all jumped in too. It is a wonderful circle of support here, and yes it is mandatory that we have a sense of humor!

I have just sat down for a cuppa and a mince pie, a bought one, I don't do baking, or much cooking for that matter. No surprise to the old gang, I just seek out the best local produce and enjoy their efforts! LOL

I am a city girl who has just moved to the country, and absolutely love it. I have a veggie garden and lots of fruit trees, and a new appliance called an "Air Fryer". It has coaxed me into the kitchen far more than usual. Don't get me wrong, I cooked all the time when there were kids at home, and loved those 70's dinner parties, good heavens, I don't know how we did those, and worked full time. Now I eat a lot simpler food, and don't have the motivation to get into cooking a lot. Baking is off limits, I have the worst sweet tooth, and no self control, so I have to avoid that.

I have finally finished the dressing room! Yay!, what a pain that has been, but it is all done now and will be a very comfy room for guests, just so long as they don't go snooping and find the "FoobMoire!" I always joke that a burglar would go screaming out of the house if he found that cupboard chocoblock full of "Tits"! Shocked

TB90, I wear the Marika for comfort, but I do work out in it too.

My fave exercise since all this happened is called The 5 Tibetan Rites. It is easy to find demos on the internet, in fact probably the best is Dr Oz, who is a devotee too. You must start very slowly with just 3 reps of each of the 5 positions. You can stick with this small amount for a long time or increase by one rep per week till you reach the maximum of 21.

There are two books by Peter Kelder which I think are really worth buying, if you are going to get into this exercise. I have seen great results, and feel good from doing it too. I don't do it for the "Fountain of Youth" aspect, but hey, if it is going to make my 60 year old body and face look better, I am in! My favorite result is where it has pumped up my pec muscle on the Mx side which now hides the concave chest below it.

I also do about a 5km walk several times a week with Dexter, my dog, and I always wear Marika for that. I find the sports bras are sensational, so comfortable with a slightly weighted micro bead foob. I just wear one of the jackets zipped up to the bottom of the bra, the bras are great colors and some of them have a lot of cover, just like a crop top, or in the super hot weather I wear a sleeveless tank over the bra with the capri length pants . I always get comments on my Marika. It looks very smart in our very laid back coastal community.

otceb, That was quite a shake up for you, but glad it isn't going to ruin plans for you. I am feeling sorry for the children who will be afraid that Santa won't find them! I hope you can make the most of the Hotel stay, maybe breakfast in bed?

I remember being taken to see The Sound of Music at the movies when I was a kid too. It was called "Cinerama" and it was very special!!LOL I don't know how many times I have seen it over the years. Bec has seen it lots too. I wonder what she will want to watch this year. She is a lot more sentimental than I am, although I have to say I have had a bit of a personality transplant with this surgery. I find crying is too easy these days. Never before, not even "Old Shep" could tear me up, but now, a sad TV commercial can set me off!

    Must be off again...M x

Hey Bobo, posting at he same time again. I accidentally posted the same one twice!

Forget the boycotting Bobo, you don't need the stress! He'll get his!

I can't believe no one listened, when I told you that stuff runs small! geesh!!! Remember we had that whole discussion on me starting an Ebay store for all the small stuff? Sorry you don't have anything new that fits Miss Bobo. If it didn't cost so damn much to post I could send you a ready made wardrobe of ensembles! I have a couple of tubs full of it.

Bobo, I am worried that you're not eating again. How about some Green Vibrance or some green juices in the Vitamix? Are you taking pro biotics for the Thrush? Maybe some pre digested Spirulina? I know it sounds like crap, but you need the nutrient dense stuff for the healing.

How is the healing going, is your skin doing well? Is the cleaning lady doing a good job, up to your standard? I may be sorry I asked that!LOL

The chilli sauce is for sandwiches, or Pizza Bobo, but it is Red Hot. When I say I don't touch it, I mean I don't eat it, and I avoid getting it on my hands because I have suffered "Chilli eye" before when I accidentally rubbed my eye with the remnants on my skin. Not pleasant! Colin loves it and can take the hottest of chillies in his stride, well maybe not stride LOL Just a little wheelchair humor there! Oooh, when he was working at the college, I used to call his office and they'd say, "I am sorry, Colin's just stepped out!", I couldn't help myself, I'd have to say Wow! I'd love to see that!" no one makes more humor out of his quadriplegia than Colin himself. He breaks the ice with humor!

Bobo, I love Thai food. It is easy in the Tagine, do you have one? Thai Red or Green curry Massaman all can be done with Veg and Tofu, coconut rice.....yummm We have a good Thai place in town, and Vietnamese, I love their food too "Pho" or soup made with herbs and veg and chicken white meat, and their more gentle curries, oh and the sensational French influence breads are too good! There is a young Vietnamese couple who have a bakery in town and they have just opened a shop in Newlands Arm which is across the water from us. I ran into them at the weekend and they said they will be open at 7am every morning with fresh baked bread, pastries and coffee. I am considering getting a bloody kayak so I can be there in a couple of minutes!LOL

I am off again, "like a bucket of prawns in the midday sun!" as they say here in Aus! Love to all...M x

Zills, glad you and the kids had such a good time.  Also glad your power came back on.  That is the absolute worst especially at Christmas.  The last Christmas my DH was alive our power was out for 4 days!!  Totally black Christmas!  And he just loved Christmas.  It was sad.

I had to google to see what hair chalk is.  Kind of cool!   What color did you get?

Ariom, so glad you will soon be seeing Bec!! The time being what it is, you may already be together!

ldesim, you are so right, that much sugar would kill me!!  But I am eating them vicariously through reading how you are enjoying them.  I'll tell you, that zulily site sure knows how to hang on to a customer!! I guess they just didn't get enough stock for the 2 items they canceled, so they give a $10 credit to make up for it! So they know I will shop again to spend it.  That and the free shipping on second order of the day (or weekend if you buy Friday).

hollyboo, nice to meet you! I don't even know what to say about God/divorce/cancer stuff. It sure sounds like the Universe is keeping you two together for some reason.  I hope you can get it sorted and have the life you want.

otec, sorry you are displaced by the storm.  Hope the power gets back on soon.  Being w/out power at Christmas su¢ks!

TB90, I get the Marika because it is just so comfy to wear around the house and much more stylish than sweats, which for a long time were about all I wore.  A bit of my history: I was dx'd with T2 Diabetes in Feb of 2012.  In the process of bringing my blood sugar under control through following a low carb/high fat/ketogenic way of eating, I lost about 50#.  Having had weight issues much of my adult life, I had a range of sizes of clothing in storage.  As I dropped weight, I got rid of the larger clothes and went to the next smaller size.  I finally was out of smaller sizes so had to start buying new clothes.  I was mainly shopping at thrift shops just in case I dropped more. Then this July I got the bc dx and after my Aug BMX I once again had a new body to dress, plus more weight loss.  Thus the Marika and the zulily adventures.  I can't tell you how good I feel now to wear brand new stylish clothing!!

Oh The Sound of Music!!  That was my late DH's favorite movie of all time. He was kind of a romantic. It was tradition to watch it on Thanksgiving evening. We also went to all the sites in Europe and went to Stowe VT and stayed at the Trapp Family Lodge.  The Capt. and Maria are actually buried there on the grounds.  There is one daughter still there Rosemary.  I believe she is Maria's and the Capt's daughter.  Every evening they have a sing along to all the songs from the movie.  DH was in seventh heaven the whole week!!  They do music camps too and I think maybe a festival, it has been a long time since we were there.

    Better post before it disappears!

    Hugs!

my first time losing a post! F hotel internet!

Zills, sorry about the day with no nap, i hated those, when you expect a break and it does not happen. Ihope you  have not had more power outages.

M, congrats on the dressing room! I would love one of these! Do i understand you correctly that it's also to guest room? Funny that the Foobmoire is there! I'm sure a snoopy guest with look! Oh well, it will be "welcome to the world of BC"!

Talking about foobs, i was just hit on for the first time since the Bmx! DH and i have been taking turns this evening walking in the large hotel lobby and path system while our son tries to sleep. I was wearing the cushion foobs with the non-surgical bra and a fitted turtleneck, and the guy was flirting! I just felt like flashing him and saying "not what you expected?"!!!

Tb, thanks for backing up TO. So you visited the European sites of the Sound of Music? That must have been an amazingly beautiful trip!

Bobo, always glad (as all these ladies are) to see you posting. How is it going with MD? Take care of yourself!

    Good night!

OT.  I have LE, as a lot of us do. It stops at my fingers. The back of my hand is swollen, but not fingers. I still won't take a chance and wear rings, my weakness. I used to reward my self at the end of each school year with a trip to the jewelers. Sparkle on!!

Bobo, huh? I'm having the same hot humid weather as you. Ready for Christmas to be gone. Husbands. Can't live with them, can't shoot them. Bah! Humbug

Back again, cup of tea time, so much action on here. otceb! I love the story about getting "hit on" in the lobby, too good, and I love your humor about flashing him. You'd love to have a camera for the reaction wouldn't you!

I should explain. We moved here in July last year, to what I call Paradise. It is a coastal town of lakes that are fed by the ocean on the other side of the dunes that I can see in the distance. We have an Island to the left which has a ferry to take you across, and on the right we have Newlands Arm which is an area that has been developed with blocks of land that are 1 acre. It has a boat ramp and an arm of land that comes around and protects that area of water for water skiers etc.

It was like this place was waiting for us. The house had been on the market for 2 years and no one could understand why. Colin is a C5/6 quad from a hang gliding accident 37 years ago. The house had so many wheelchair accessable features, it was amazing.

The original owner was an engineer, and the house was built and designed with an architect in two sections, 3 years apart. When we bought it, we did a massive internal renovation, but kept a lot of the features, and hand built timber display cabinets and cupboards that were made by the original owner for his wife. The room that I call the dressing room is behind the master bedroom, walk in robe and en suite and I had a door cut between it and the en suite so I could use it as a dressing room. The built ins, in this room are great for all kinds of things, but was originally built as a sewing room. I am not a sewer, so I use it for  storing all my Marika, my makeup, nail stuff etc, and the now infamous FoobMoire is in there too, with perfect shelving for all my Foob Boxes and BC accoutrements!Happy The great part of the dressing room is that nearly everything is hidden behind doors. I bought a large black leather ottoman that pulls out to a double bed, or it can be relaxed on with lots of pillows and a throw during the day, Dex can often be found there watching the front gate and relaxing when the sun is coming in that window. So it works well as another guest room, when we can get Dex out!

Spookiesmom, I have noticed that my hand on that side has swollen a bit, and my rings are a little tight. I can't tell if my arm is any bigger. I am kicking myself that I didn't have a base line measurement done. The things we find out about "after" the event is annoying.

gB, Bec is arriving tomorrow evening, Christmas Eve here. I just had a call from her Father, and they are having the Funeral between Christmas and New Year, no set date yet, why not? and then a Celebration of her life on the 9th of January. I am hoping Bec is comfortable with just going on the 9th, he suggested that, and she can have her Birthday with the family on the 12th Jan. She wants me to go too, so that would suit me much better because I have to arrange cover for Colin's care and we have guests coming for New Year for a few days.

Off I go again, be back later M x

Hi hollyboo, love the name! Welcome, love all the newcomers but not the reason we are all here!

Ot.. ice storms are the worst! I would rather have bitter cold and snow that ice, hate losing power. Living in this tundra -28 tonight, we have to have a backup generator to run the furnace just in case power goes out! Glad you are safe in a hotel, but hey you got hit on!! well good for you, but wouldnt you just like to flash him?? funny! As for shopping in Canada, we just look for different things, never do big shopping as things are at least twice as much up there. Our larger cities are full of Canadians at the motels, stores, etc. Our oldest son was born in Canada and as a child I always was taken to the doctors there, we had great care! Hope you do not have le, I thought at one time it was starting on me too, but luckily not. I think it needs to be addressed quickly so glad you are getting checked. I have not yet given in to marika yet, but the sports bra sounds great, I know I will get the sports bra from amoena next visit, but have to wait until next year because of insurance.

Well i see there is a few Leo's here, look out we are a stubborn bunch, and loud, not named lions for nothing!!

We are off for the big holiday tomorrow, our little granddaughter has a program at her gymnastic school, so we will hit that first, then spend Christmas Eve and day with them and head home. Hoping our weather cooperates.

Will check in later to see how everyone is doing.. hugs to all.

Wow!  It took me so long to get my last post together, I walked a way for a while, then back and finished it, then walked away after it posted. I never saw that there were several new ones I hadn't read that came in while I was writing!

bobo, sorry to hear that you are not eating much again.  I hope you can find something that tastes good to you to help in your healing.

Airom, we need to see the dressing room!! Photos please! :))

I listened re the Marika stuff running small.  I measured and all most of the items I got fit fine, I guess I was just very lucky.  I do have 3 things that are just way too small though.  I think I'll take them to the local consignment shop.

otceb, yeah, the disappearing posts has plagued us all at one time or another!  It is a mystery why it happens.  How fun to be hit on!!  I say good on you!  I laughed when you said you wanted to flash him.

Posting so I can keep caught up this time. More in a bit.

    Hugs

Ariom, it is so kind of you to orient the new ones.  I am taking so many different pills that nothing tastes right. I have no green veg for juice for the Vitamix -- DLLP is doing the shopping.  Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, so we probably won't shop for green juice then.  Just heated up an Amy's veg frozen dinner but only ate half of it.  It tasted like sandpaper.  Yes I certainly would take a thai recipe of yours -- I have a clay pot, is that close enough to a tagine?  And will you please PM me your Aus address again?  Your Christmas card came back.  I probably wrote it while I was on drugs.

Otceb, I like your story about getting hit on.  My boss loves me.  He doesn't hit, but he does love me, it's obvious.  I'm married to DLLP, obviously, and I'm super-worried about what's going to happen when Spring term starts and he notices I don't have any boobies.  I did not tell anyone in the dept.  I did not want to talk about it.

It's so cold everywhere!  It's, like, seventy degrees here.  but boy, do we suffer for it in summers.  It's a billion degrees here.

I promise when I get myself sorted I will write down everyone's proper address.  But some have two, and some have top secret spy addresses, and it's going to take me some time to figure it out.  M, I do have one outfit, I got it at Ross (discount place) -- black and hot pink track pants, hot pink hoodie (fuzzy, with thumb holes!  I always wanted thumb holes!), and I wear a black super soft tee shirt with it.  Just got bill in the mail for the mx with recon. -- My PS charges like 29,000 for the first part!  He is loaded!  Thank goodness I have some decent ins.  I'm afraid they will see all this and cancel my AS$.

Otceb, how old is your boy?  Since 'everyone' hits on you :), and since you are young and irresistible, I am thinking of giving you a nickname after the nickname of someone like Catherine Zeta Jones -- DLLP and I call her Black Black Widow, after the black black widow in the Barbra Streisand song from A Star is Born.  Anyway, BBW obviously knows how to swear -- I was just teasing her.  F that hotel internet!  Gramwe, how is it going?  How is OG?  What are you making for Christmas dinner?  Or did you list it already?  You have made so many dinners lately...

Tomorrow my first fill at the PS.  Merry Christmas Eve painful fill.  New people, I am having boobs, despite the name of this thread, because the PS flipped me, please read above for more details, and anyway I am the starter of the thread, and so those who don't like it can tell their story walking!  There is much talk on the fake boob threads (those always seem so crazy and foreign to me, and yet I am now one of them, and must read for information) about nips -- going to "vinnie" in NOLA, he does the best tattooing, or skin grafts, or no nips, or 3D tattoos or non 3-D, and projection -- so they look like headlights, and some of the older ladies don't want to look like their 'headlights' are on all the time, and you get to pick the color, which is wild -- and why pick a really light color you can't see? -- anyway, they talk on and on about all this.  And now -- well, soon -- that is my life style.  I am going to let DLLP pick the color.  I will have veto power.  And I am going to get the skin grafts and the projected headlight nips. I think it will be hilarious to walk around with my nips sticking out all the time.  I am going to wear tank tops.

How is THAT for an update?  How is everyone's Christmas prep?  XXXX

    Bobo, you're back!!!!!!!!

Your boss will be totally flummoxed, no boobies, some boobies, more boobies and then headlights ON! He will need to have therapy after this transition!

That is of course, unless you decide to share your info. I have no idea how your department would take it, but as I have said before, I've been very open, but haven't had a single negative reaction, and in fact, people have been very interested in the process, and have felt comfortable asking me questions.

There is nothing special about the Thai Curry, if you have an international section at your supermarket, you just buy the spices for the type of curry you want, can of coconut cream, the veg you want, chick peas, and tofu slow cook it and ..ta-da! I do mine in a Tagine on the top of the hob, but you can do it in and oven. I haven't tried, but you can do them in a container in my Air Fryer too.

Bobo, the timing isn't great for this fill you weren't meant to have is it? Are you still taking the children with you? I sure hope it goes ok.

I have read all that stuff about the fills, the Vinnie tatts and the fake booby stuff. You crack me up! Headlights ON!

gB, I have a photo of the dressing room. I have asked Colin to put it up for me, so he may get around to it later.

ndgirl, have a safe trip, and enjoy your GD's gym concert.

Merry Christmas! It is Christmas Eve here now!

bobo, I hope your fill goes as painlessly as possible.   Sorry you have to do it on Christmas Eve.

Ariom, you crack me up too.  I laughed out loud when I read the boss part!  Looking forward to seeing your dressing room.  Sounds like maybe you will be able to fit in the celebration of life for Bec's grandmother.  That's nice.

ndgirl, enjoy the gymnastics and your time with family.  Closest I will get to my family this year is with FaceTime on the computer.
