Spookiesmom, I agree with you about the crap on TV, but wonder how I would manage with none. I don't watch anywhere near what I used to.

We  are watching Cirque Du Soleil Alegria right now. Our first date was to Cirque, we had front row seats, a perk of going out with someone in a chair :) one of the performers who was made up like a beautiful reptile came from the stage and came nose to nose with me, we held the pose for what seemed like ages, he pulled back and then back flipped across the stage. I was stunned, but it was amazing.

Zills, I am so sorry you have a headache, hope it passed and you got to sleep. I am picturing you and the kids racing a horse. I didn't know they liked peppermints!

So glad you had a message from Bobo, sounds like she is doing ok.

What is the photo shoot for? Did you get your answer in early enough?

Hope all is well with everyone else, sgc, I hope you're home and comfy cozy!

Otceb, in the bag for you!

    Take care all...... M x

I had sent Bobo a quick email to let her know we miss her and that I care for her, didnt expect any reply but did just get a quick one, she was at ps getting a drain out.. said she will return to the boards when she can. So glad to hear from her. Said she had drains in since Dec 6th! unreal! Looking forward to her spunk on this board again, but hoping she is taking it easy.

((gentle hugs to scg))) waiting to hear things are okay with you too.

    Hi all!!

otc, in the bag, I was the one snoozing in the corner. :)

ldesim, sorry about the wrist, hope it feels better quickly.

Spookie, sorry about the LE, but seems like you have a good attitude about how to deal with it.

And Ariom, you're dealing with the RA the same way!!  Yes, you are our rock star!!  I always love to hear your stories.  You are probably right ndgirl, it would be much tougher for that to unfold in this day and age.

Zills, thanks for the bobo update.  I hope she feels up to posting here one day.  Sorry about the headache, hope it is all gone now.  I find it interesting all the different criteria hospitals have for discharge.  All I had to do was get to the bathroom and use it and have kept some food down.  You had to walk to the nurses station?  Interesting.

I am going up to town today to shop for my youngest GD 3rd Birthday presents.  She'll be 3 Jan 21.  Time for a hair cut too.

Hope to see a note from scg when I come back. (((scg)))

    ((((bobo))))

    Hugs to All!

Hi all, terrible night last night. It was so hot that the paving stones were hot underfoot at midnight. I had the air con on in the bedroom, but it was still muggy and uncomfortable.

Poor Bec had to get a cab home from work yesterday because the heat had caused line problems with the trains. I don't know how she will get on for the rest of the week.

ndgirl, glad you got a message from Bobo. I wondered if she was still carrying a drain around. She'll feel freer now with that out.

Oooh gB, I'd love to go GD, Birthday shopping with you. What did you end up getting?

Another quiet one here, is the weather improving now? I am not seeing too much on the News now, so assuming it is melting away.

Zills I hope the headache is well gone and you're back to your chirpy self.

    Take care all...M x

Yes, what did you get for GD 3rd birthday? my youngest gd will be 3 on Feb. 16th. I have a cute little Minnie Mouse outfit as she just LOVES Minnie! But suppose I should get something for her to play with too. Such a sweet age. I believe you said your baby was turning 40 this year? my baby turned 40 in Dec. how can that be??  GB, I think we are pretty close in age too.

Oh Ariom, what a terrible heat you are having.. heard on the news it was 113 f. Poor Bec, hope she get on ok. Is there any relief in site?

Zills, hope your headache is better and you can get some sleep too.

OTC, how are things? in the bag too.  hey, that sure sounds like we are all drunk in your bag doesnt it?? wow that would be quite the uproar wouldnt it? maybe that is just a saying there but..."in the bag" refers to someone that has had one or more too many!!

Weather is better here, a little snow shower last nite but nothing bad, had our Bunco club again last nite and didnt keep us home, temps are much better, hope the dreaded cold snap is over for all.

Has it warmed in Florida Spookiesmom? bet it is very nice now.

Hi to Idesim and Granwe and everyone...

Hi ndgirl, the heat is awful, especially when we get hot northerly winds to go with it. It is 9am and already 35c which is about 95fand the rest of the week is supposed to be the same, and then the weekend should be about 22c after a cool change.

Already the bush fires are raging in other areas, I am in touch with another Aussie member here and she has a house that is high risk.  My heart goes out to those in the danger areas. We had horrendous bush fires a few years ago that claimed many lives, including the best loved TV newsreader where I used to work and his wife. It was just devastating.

We also start losing lots of elderly people in this heat, they just can't take it, and either don't have air con, or can't afford to use it.

I wonder how the settlers managed in these harsh conditions, it must have been brutal.

I rang this morning to confirm my 6 monthly F/U appointment with my surgeon on the 28th. I am going to organize to get this little end of my dog ear removed, while I am there. It drives me mad! I hope it won't be something I have to wait too long to have done, and I really hope it will be something that won't need anesthetic.

The receptionist was flustered when I called and accidentally put my call through to the surgeon, so we had a chat before she crashed in and cut me off! LOL

It is going to be a long day of doing nothing here today. I am tempted to go and swim in the lake, but don't want to be out in the heat. There aren't even any boats out this morning, no birds and no Dolphins either.

    Take it easy everyone..chat later...M x

Ugh. I hate hot humid weather especially when it starts early and stays late.

I did make it to the photo shoot. I was the headless patient. Not sure why but they didn't want my head in the pix and this was before they even saw me. Then they decided my black socks blended into the stained glass so off they went. That may be the shot they use. So all alumni will get to see my feet. Shame I didn't have a proper pedicure.

She said to hold my thumb for my funk and lack of appetite. I have an appt next week with her so we'll see. Also going to have my vitamin levels checked.

The baby received a Minnie Mouse for Christmas. She's not impressed. Maybe she's too young. So what else is popular among 3 year olds?

Our weather is supposed to get cold again. Going to make another pot of soup beans.

    sgc, thinking about you.

M, you too.. they reported on your extreme heat on the news this morning.  I am not sure what is worse, extreme cold or extreme heat.

Big hugs to everybody else.  Otceb, hope you had a satisfactory visit with MO.

We have extreme rain today and with the 18 inches of snow that melted, it's pretty mucky outside.

My hand is feeling a little better.. I was careful today and worked with the mouse in my left hand... which made tasks go a bit slow.. but I can feel the difference.  It's still sore, but not the agonizing pain I've been in the past few days.

Glad to get an update on Bobogirl.. my phone has died so no texting here... I might have to break down and get a smartphone unless I get some klunker off of Ebay... I need to root around the basement tonight because I know we have old phones down there... it's always some damn thing isn't it? :)

Just a thought... not only do you ladies often brighten my day online, but every once in awhile I get a lovely card from somebody and it always seems to happen when I most need it!  I hadn't realized in these days of Facebook, texting, instant messaging, email.. etc., how little personal mail I now receive as it's usually catalogs and of course bills, but you guys have reminded me how wonderful it is to get it.. as well as send it!

Hi Zills, so you are the "Naked Foot" model!

ldesim, I am the only one of my group who has resisted the smart phone. I have a Nokia Asha. The guy in the shop thought I was nuts. I said I wanted a phone that does just phone stuff. Not interested in all the other crap, and don't want a flat brick with a glass face that will shatter when I drop it. Didn't leave a lot of options LOL I love this Asha, it has a qwerty keyboard on the front, looks like a Blackberry, has a decent camera, and is easy to program.  We have a box full of old phones too.

I hope your wrist continues to improve, it may just have needed a bit of a rest. Take it easy..M x

Ariom:  113 degrees F?   That's getting up there for sure!  Cold and hot extremes are both miserable, but for me, the cold hurts...so I'll take heat with a/c and water :)

As far as smart phones go, I am the only one I know of who doesn't have one!  I use a 7 year old TracPhone that doesn't even have a camera.  I love it because it stays charged for weeks.  I just don't have any need for a smart phone...plus, working at a major university, I see kids walking to and from classes with their noses glued to their phones.  They're lucky they don't get hit crossing the streets because they are so distracted.  My co-workers and I have a favorite saying about working there ...  "great place to work if it wasn't for all the students!".

My lymphedema really flaired up today.  Kind of scared me because I couldn't think of anything that might have caused it to go wild...then I remembered I wrote out a bunch of invitations to DD's party this weekend.  Whew.. I feel better knowing that something may have caused it.  Can't wait for my compression gloves to arrive.  I think they will really help the swelling in my hand.  Still concerned that another surgery will cause it to worsen, but there's no way to predict the future.  Wish I could find that damn crystal ball!

Hope we hear from SGC soon.

I've had iPhones since they came out. My puter died years ago, never bothered to replace it. It's all I have, I'm using it now.   I know I only know how to use 1/4 of its features, I love it and would be lost without it. I buy them off ATT site refurbished, usually around $50, then sell the old one at Game Stop for $50.

We are having normal winter now, finally!!! 65-70 days, mid 40 nights.

Hi all, thanks for being "in the bag" for me! Yes, it is a funny expression! I love the thought of having a group of drunken friends with me at appointments, I should visualize this next time!

So... I need chemo.  Based on my age, the cell grade (III), lymph node involvement, etc., chemo will diminish my chances of recurrence from 20-25% to 8-10%. Still not a great number but better than without. The doctor I had (assistant to the head doctor) was fantastic, he explained everything plainly, in an organized manner, answered questions, and was really nice. It made the appointment as pleasant as such an appointment can be. They want the wound from my infection to heal before starting the treatment, so I see these doctors in 2 weeks and will likely start chemo on Jan 30th. It's FEC-D (I have noticed many ladies in BCO getting AC-T, so I will look into the chemo threads to see if others have this protocol), side effects are supposedly very similar to AC-T.

In my mind, I thought that there was 90% chance that this would be the outcome, so I was not shocked. I have not cried today (but have cried about it in the past weeks), everything is still sinking in. I'm thinking a lot about how to tell my son, and I'm sad for him for having to see me sick and bald. I'm waiting for a book about kids and cancer from a local support group, it supposedly has a bunch of tips. I'm also thinking of trying to work during the treatment (6 * every 3 weeks), taking a few days off the weeks of chemo. 6 months of rest would be boring, I think, although if that's what my body needs, that's what I'll do.

AHHHHHHHHH! F***!!!!!!  It's going to be fine, 6 months out of my life is nothing.

M- so sorry about the awful heat. You don't have central A/C? Is it common in your corner of Australia? I hope you can get the dog ear removed, it would be good to have all the procedures behind you and be fully satisfied with your new body. Funny about the receptionist!!

PRB - sorry about LE. It would suck if writing invitations had triggered it!! Will you get more nodes removed during your surgery? If not, I don't think it should worsen it.

Idesim- glad the wrist is better, good for you for becoming ambidextrous (sp?)!  DH, who's a golf nut, likes saying that Tiger Woods can beat most people golfing with his left side.

gB- what did you get GD? 3 yrs, such a cute age but sometimes aggravating for the parents!

    ndgirl, what's Bunco club?

    {{{SGC}}} I hope you're feeling ok.

Spookie - good for you for communicating with the world with your iPhone!

Zills, what a funny photo shoot, headless, sockless! Sorry about the early morning you had and the headache, I hope it does not happen too often. I love imagining you and your little family racing with the horse!

That's another fun and therapeutic thing about these boards, being transported into other lives and worlds!

    Take care everyone!

PRB, sorry to hear about the le, I sympathize with you, my mom sure suffered with it and she also had to be so careful not to cut herself on that side and she loved her roses in the garden, so that meant special gloves if she wanted to tend to them. Your gloves should help and you know what triggered it, that helps.. I think we have the same phone!! no high tech here because our coverage is terrible in this area and if we bounce off a Canadian tower it costs big bucks! But this is all the phone I need for now. I know what you mean about kids and their noses in their phones... doesnt it make you wonder if they will ever know how to string 2 sentences together? oh well we wont stop it.

Otc.. sorry you have to have the chemo but like you said you can do it! a young gal that worked in our school had bc at age 29 and she had young children at the time, she continued to work through chemo, she had to take a few days off after each treatment but really did well, so that is my hope for you. And she is very well and healthy now, so encouraging isnt it? Bunco is a dice game that needs 12 people or ladies in our case, we play four games with 6 rounds in each game, very simple game, but loads of fun when we all get together.. all ages too! prizes for winners, nothing big, just some fun things.

Zills, interesting photo shoot, your bean soup sounds good.

Idesim, agreed about getting some real mail!! love it too. As much as I love all the techy stuff, it is still fun to get a hand signed card in the mail isnt it? thanks to everyone!

    One pooped granny here!!

ndgirl and I were posting at the same time this morning so I didn't see the post about bobo getting a drain out.  Hope that is the last one!!  I can't imagine having drains that long!!

Well, I ended up making 6 stops on my shopping trip!! The most fun was picking out things for DGD!!  Shopko seems to have the most things she likes.  She loves Cars/Spiderman/Princesses so I got a huge Cars coloring book that also has pages of stickers.  (She loves stickers!)  Another activity book shaped like a purse that she can easily carry around the house.  A big box of crayons.  Then clothes!  I was texting and sending photos back and forth with DD as DGD is rather picky with her clothes.  Ended up with pink sweat pants with 2 tops, one pink with Princesses on it the other a bright lime green with a glittery butterfly (she loves butterflies too).  Then a pair of gray sweat pants with a bright red Cars t-top that has long gray sleeves that look like a long sleeve shirt under a red short sleeve top.  Then more stickers to put in her card.

Got my hair cut, did grocery shopping, gassed the car, hit Target for some things and Walgreens as they have the last of the Bayer A1c home test kits on sale.  Bayer is sadly discontinuing them.  I like it because you get an immediate result.  Now all there is is Walmart's Relion test that you have to mail in and wait for a response.

    Man am I tired!!

Ariom, so sorry it is so hot!  I really don't do hot, especially humid hot!!  I lived in the forest in CA for many years and summer was terrible for forest fires.  Fires scare the carp out of me.  Take it easy and stay cool.

ndgirl, I'll be 65 in June (how the heck did that happen!?!?).  My GD loves stickers and to color so the color books will keep her busy.

Zills, glad you made the photo shoot.  Will we get to see final shots?

ldesim, with the rain we have had, my road to the house is pure mud.  I was skidding all over coming home tonight. I had to put the car in 4WD to get home.  It is a dirty ugly mess!!  On Sunday, it was frozen solid and I did a 180° spin trying to get the garbage up to the can by the road. Slip sliding away!!!  Glad your wrist is better.  Rest can help a lot.

Going to post this before it vanishes and finish catching up.

    Hugs.

PRB, no smart phone here either.  I have an LG Xpression. I could get online if I wanted but have to pay extra.  The only reason I got that is because I put my 4 yr old phone through the washer back in Oct so had to upgrade. I have an iPad so really don't need a smart phone too.... So sorry about the LE, but at least you have an idea of what brought it on.

Spookie, my problem with a smart phone is I don't want to pay for the data.  It's an expense that I just can't justify.  I have wifi in the house for my iPad and MacBookPro, so just don't see a smart phone too.

Well, otc, at least you know what the plan is and can move forward from there.  You'll figure out how to tell DS, after all you are doing this to be with him longer.  I may have missed it, how old is he?  Kids are adaptable, he'll take it in stride, especially if he understands what is happening and why.  My DGD runs my DD and her DLLP ragged, she is a bundle of energy 24/7.  [Just like her mom was at that age!;)]

sgc, glad to hear from you!  You are going to be out of it a few days, but you'll be surprised how fast you bounce back. Rest and take it easy, pamper yourself for now and let DH wait on you!! :))

Sgc, so great to hear from you! We've all been wondering how you're doing.

Glad you're resting and not in pain. We'll look forward to hearing how you're doing tomorrow...Take care of you! M x

Hi ndgirl, I love real mail too! I can't understand the Texting phenomenon, kids don't even speak to each other, they just text. Carpal tunnel and bone issues are becoming more prevalent and the fatal one that is happening here with monotonous regularity is the texting while wearing ear buds for music and walking across train lines. We have had so many deaths from this stupid practice. It is just unbelievable.

Thanks for the Bunco explanation, I haven't heard of it either.

Otceb, Hugs from me! I am sorry you still have to do the Chemo, but you want every percentage point in your favor, I agree ahhhh F it! We all know your son is your priority. Our star Zills may have words of encouragement or some advice in that area too, she has gone through the whole treatment and surgery thing with her two young children. We are all blown away at the way Zills managed everything.

We will all be here if you need us too, we just ask that you have a roomy handbag that we can all fit into while we accompany you to appointments! LOL

We have reverse cycle air con, heats in winter cools in summer. It is fine inside the house, but as soon as you take a step outside it is like a furnace. It is pretty common to have air con, but not everyone has it.

I have been telling Colin how I wish we had put in a pool when we started the renos. We put in a swim spa at the last house which I loved and I am missing it now. I don't think he's going to go for it, maybe a plunge pool?LOL

Spookiesmom, glad the weather has sorted itself out. That's the kind of deal I like, buy for $50.00, and resell for the same! Good on you!

PRB, I am so sorry to hear of your LE flare, my Mother had it too. I remember her always doing the exercises and she used to massage the arm while she watched TV or when we were talking. We never knew of any treatment, and never saw a sleeve, that was in '94. Amazing how much things change.

I agree about the weather extremes. I can hear thunder in the distance, it has become very overcast and dark, so I am hoping that means a cool change with a big storm is on its way. We have the most spectacular storms here. They come in off the ocean and we have an uninterrupted view of Mother Nature's fury. It can get scary, but I love it.

I have a crystal ball, just don't know how to read it!LOL

    Take care...M x

Surgery update- had surgery yesterday to have implants removed.  In alot of pain as he scraped the pocket/chest wall for infection/cultures/ healing and reduce the draining.  Came home with two drains.  Bandaged up pretty good so will not see the reveal until Thursday when I go back to PS to see what this looks like.  I can't even imagine.  It is odd to look down and see no breast.  I just want to feel better.  So sick of being sick.

Hi Togetherness, so pleased to hear you're through the other side of the surgery and you're on your way to healing. It must have been so wearing to feel sick all the time. I hope you start to feel the difference really quickly.

I can imagine you'd be pretty tender after all that scraping, ouch! But I hope it settles down quickly and you get your strength back.

All the best for the reveal on Thursday, we will all be thinking of you, or even be in the bag with you, if you need us!HappyTake care! M x

Just getting ready for bed, it is still so hot outside. The storm did nothing but make it more humid. Uggghhhh!

The weather report was just on after the news and we have 43c tomorrow and 44c Friday. Crap! The lawns are all crispy now and can't really be saved. I can't justify using heaps of water to try to save the grass. It will come back in the Winter.

Although there aren't any water restrictions here, we have lived in drought conditions in the city for so long that you get out of the habit of watering everything all the time.

It should be cooler at the weekend, down to the 20's. I will be looking forward to that! Have a great day everyone......M x

Togetherness. Hang in there. It's very hard being sick and tired. Your health is priceless and you just have new battle scars. This procedure helps you win the war to rejoin the healthy. You and Bobo are in the same battle.

OTC. I'm so sorry.  Chemo is doable. Try not to let it overwhelm you. I think working can be beneficial but listen to your body and use lots of hand sanitizer. Keep a bottle in your car, your desk, the kitchen, etc.

Tell your son you are taking strong medicine. Use the words chemo and cancer. Explain you may lose your hair (if that is an SE) and you'll be tired. He'll need to wash his hands whenever he comes inside. He can be your special helper. Be matter of fact. Kids take their cue from you.

I can send you a recipe for ginger tea. Nausea can be controlled. There's all kinds of meds. Just let the dr know if you have problems. Soup crackers, pretzels, animal crackers, cereal are easy to eat one after another. Try small meals often. If it doesn't sound good or smell good, don't bother eating it. Chew gum. Smell peppermint or vanilla.

Drink, drink, drink. I drank lemon water and used baking soda toothpaste. I never got mouth sores. Your dentist will have magic mouthwash if you do. They also recommend a Rx toothpaste for your enamel if you throw up. It's nasty.

My kids had sausage biscuits, sweet potatoes and applesauce for dinner a lot during the first part of the cycle. It was quick, easy to fix, they loved it and the smell didn't bother me. Don't worry about nutrition. There's plenty of time for that later. There will be no rhyme or reason to what tastes good. Just go with the flow. Don't recommend your absolute favorite things though so you won't associate them with getting sick. I was able to eat regular food.

I always felt great the third week. Try to walk. It helps keep your muscle tone and is a good distraction while waiting for a pill to kick in.

The nurses will explain what to expect. If it's constipation, be proactive. Take the pills ahead of treatment and don't stop. I also got a yeast infection my first time. Eat yogurt, drink kefir or take probiotics ahead of time and keep up with one of them regularly.

Everyone is different. Start planning and preparing. Beanies in every color? Chemo made me have beautiful skin and my nails grew!

PM me your address and I can pass along a sleeping cap and masks. Check out wigs now if you think you might want one. My kids loved wearing them. I just passed them on this week. I never wore one.

    That's a pleasure Togetherness!

So glad to hear you are sleeping a lot it will be the very best thing for you. That, and as much water as you can drink to flush everything out!

Take it easy for as long as you can! (except for the PT exercises!)

Great advice otceb, from Zills, she did so well during that phase. We were all in awe of how well she managed.

Another scorcher here today, over 40c again. I am going to make a quick trip to see the ladies at the Opp Shop, and then I'll be back into the air con for the day. There is talk about them having rolling power outages because too many people are using air con...well Duh!

    Catch you all later...M x

Doing a quick post because I do not feel like working anymore today and I know that wonky keyboard is waiting for me at  home.

Sgc!!!! Glad to hear from you and glad you are home safe and sound and getting rest... you'll be overdoing it in no time!

Togetherness, so glad you updated us!  I thought I would never be able to look at myself after surgery, but I did and it was fine, it didn't bother me like I thought it was going to.  I so understand the sick of being sick!!!!  Enough is enough!!!

Otceb, I'm sorry you didn't get the news you wanted, but I am glad that it wasn't a surprise for you.  You have the greatest outlook and I think that goes a long way in how you handle treatments. Everything Zils said (Zils you really give the best damn advice, I wouldn't have even recalled half of that stuff!!!!!) is true, especially staying hydrated.  I never got mouth sores either and never a hint of nausea.. which I attribute to drinking tons of water starting the day before treatment.  I also think never letting your tummy get empty helps too with nausea.   It's true about not eating your fav foods.. even though I didn't get nauseous.. I NOW will get nauseous if I encounter something I used during chemo.. example... I drank this grape flavored water with nutrients and I can't do near it now as it will make me nauseous.  I always had a roast turkey on wheat bread sandwich while getting chemo and was offered at a latter Herceptin appointment and I got nauseous just opening the wrapper.  I still go to the treatment room every 3 weeks for my Herceptin and the minute I smell the place I get nauseous.  How weird is that?

M you are  right, I am STILL in awe of how Zils went through all of that with the two little ones.

M, sorry to hear you are still in a heat wave.. that just sucks

I'll catch up with the rest of you later!!!

Good to see Idesim posting again, hope things are ok .

Sgc, glad your surgery is in the rear view mirror now, just rest whenever you can and sleep is so important. I have always had problems sleeping well at night (well not always but every since menopause and some heavy worries), but if you are blessed with the ability for a good sleep, go for it anytime.

Zills, you are an angel for all your good advice for another young Mom with kids and how to cope!

Ariom, that horrible heat.. I bet your lettuce is fried! hope the cool-down does come this week end for you.

Thank you for the encouraging words, all of you!!

Zills, you rock, thanks a million for these precious tips. I have been looking at the chemo threads and links and hospital litterature and am overwhelmed by all the info, but you summarized the key things perfectly! And the advice about kids, it's irreplaceable, you are the best source of info for this! Thank you, Superwoman!

ndgirl, thanks for being so nice as always! You know, if you want, we can make you honorary Canadian if you spend enough time north of the border!

M, merci pour les beaux mots! I hope you stay cool today and don't get long blackouts.

Idesim, thanks for your great advice. So funny about how our bodies remember chemo food! I'll have to think about what I don't want to eat again!

gB - thanks for the tips. My son is 5, I'll figure out a way of talking to him about it, being open, preparing him as much as possible. I have also been keeping his teacher informed, in case she notices changes in behaviour or can provide some support. Congrats on the successful shopping! I hope you rested a lot today!

sgc, glad to hear you are well! Take good care!

Togetherness, I'm glad the surgery is behind you! Take care, take it easy, don't sweat the small stuff. I totally get you about sick of being sick!!! One day, we'll be better, right?!

Otc, I think I should be an honorary citizen, we go to Canada many times a week in the summer. Our oldest son was born there, we had him made a US naturalized citizen. Think I did him a favor, he can never be a US president!! Many relatives there as well. Thanks. Take care of yourself and family. You will do great I know.

Togetherness, glad you are on the other side of sx.  Now you are healing, and will be feeling better soon.  That first look is different for everyone.  I didn't get to see myself until day 3 post, when I had my first shower.  I was more curious than apprehensive.  I wasn't really shocked, I had looked at photos online so sort of knew what to expect.  I never planned on recon so my expectations were somewhat different than yours may be at this point.  Just know you did what you had to do to regain your health.   Try to take it easy and not to do too much.  Yeah, we all know how that goes.... ;)

otc, you have gotten such excellent advice.  I swear our Zills is a font of information and has helped so many of us at one time or another.  ldesim is right there too!!  Not having had to do anything beyond my BMX, I have nothing to add but my best wishes that you can get through this part of the journey with out any major se's.

Ariom, I sure hope your heat goes away soon.  Has any of your veggie garden survived? Stay cool!

    Hugs!

Thank you all for the kind words.  I have been resting and drinking lots of water.  Still in a lot of pain as he scraped a lot so the skin will adhere to the chest.

Grammab that is an excellent idea to look at some pics to get a general idea as to what it might look Iike.

Idesim I can't wait to feel better and get on with my new normal life.  It has been six months since diagnosis and I have been sick most of the time..... Ugh. Enough is enough!!

Zills I don't know bobo but I see how much everyone cares so much about her.  I wish her well.  And yes my health is more important than cosmetic look.

Otceb I am not gonna sweat the small stuff.  I will adjust as long as I feel better.

Ariom thanks I am sure I will feel better once this antithesia gets out of my system and get rid of these drains.  I am not gonna rush getting the drains out as I do not want anymore infectios.

Thanks again for all the support!!
