    Hello again!

ndgirl, so glad you made it this far safely. Will be thinking of you winging your way to your vacation tomorrow!

Colin will get a big head from all these lovely comments!

Take care of you! M x

Wren, you are a very talented lady, with your painting and pottery. I have tried both, but the results weren't good. I'm not bad a doing faces though, makeup has always been a love of mine. Even had a following of young Drag Queens who would come to be made up.

I am with you for that appointment on Thursday!

Fiaranch! George Clooney? no, I am not telling him that, he'll drive me nuts with that one. He's had enough "attention" for one day. LOL

You won't believe what this Vitamix can do, noisy bugger, it has to be locked in the laundry to make soup, but it is only about 7 minutes till it delivers hot beautiful soup...amazing and delicious. I ate my batch, that I made on Sunday night for about 4 meals, even Colin ate it, and loved it, he hates anything green and I even got kale into him for the first time! The ice cream is fabulous, as are the smoothies. I have always been a mad juicer. I have an Oscar cold press juicer which I love, but it removes all the fiber, which I feed to Dexter, so it isn't wasted, this beauty does the same fruits and Veg, but retains the fiber. A different drink, but so good for you.

I am so grateful to Bobo for insisting I should buy it. I hope you love yours. There are gazillions of recipes on the net for this machine.

I love that, I've lost my T**T's and I want to keep my own teeth! I just had mine checked, and cleaned a month ago, no problems, but thanks for the heads up, I will never be tardy, even though I'm not on the meds.

Just spat smoothie into my keyboard reading about your revelation about not liking people and having no customer service skills! You're a cracker! I love your turn of phrase.

How bloody superficial was that silly beatch about her cashmere sweater, how would it be, if that was all you had to worry about!

Ooooh can I come to your place? I love Pad Thai, and I love the animal story. The tattle tale cat is gorgeous, and the dog getting the noodles is funny, even though I bet you were mad.

Fingers crossed you've dodged the flu. That boy of yours is doing some little head thinking, not unusual for boys that age, or any age, come to think about it.

I am so sorry to hear that the medical issues are a financial burden, that's just another stress that you don't need. Take care M x

I am sorry Togetherness. I live in fear of SE's from drugs too. I need far less than the required dose to put me over the edge with most drugs. They called me a "cheap stone!" in the 70's.

As Wren says, everyone is different, and I have to say I have had times when I expected awful side effects, and nothing happened, and yes, gramwe does call it F Femara!

12 wigs, you're my kind'a gal! More is More! I am like that with the boobs, and the bras etc.

I am so pleased that you had a good time with your friends. I don't know many people here, but I love going out with the girls from my BC group. I had a girlfriend and her husband here to stay over New Years and it was fantastic to just hang out.

Silk camis, oooh I love them and my other fave is Bamboo fiber, softer than cotton and fine like cashmere. I really love those fabrics.

I think the sore ribcage is very common too. I've heard many people mention it. I was very sore, right where my drain exited, on my ribcage. There are so many strange sensations that go along with this surgery, but for most, they disappear.

Living life, and loving it! Way to go!

I wish you the best with the F Femara, and yes one step, and one breath at a time. We'll be here for you to vent to if you need us. M x

gramwe, so sorry to hear of the F,LE, how crap is that, but you'll be a new woman with all those appointments for nutrition, yoga, pt, and massage therapist!

Glad to hear the OG is ok and how successful the hand surgery has been. Much better than the last one.

I have been hanging out for a baby update, full term and any time, oh I am excited. I envy you doing up the Nursery, I would love to do that. Promise me you'll find a way, an internet cafe, a stranger on the street with wifi, a stolen laptop,  you'll let us know when the babe arrives? You know I have to live vicariously through you and the others, for grand children. A new baby to sniff is just my favorite thing. I love the smell of newborns, and have been known to swoon, inhaling deeply when I see one in a store. Colin has to slap me to bring me around! LOL

The weasel is still on the scene, and I guess by your comment things haven't improved, bugger that. I am hoping the sight of that new baby, may just make him man up, fingers crossed.

So wonderful to see you back....big hugs to you..M x

I have lost the plot now, have to get up and make lunch, late lunch, I have been here all morning and it is now 2pm. I apologize if I have left anyone out, not intentional...M x

Hi Everyone!  It's snowing in VA!  I can't believe how beautiful it is.  This snow might stick around as we are to have frigid weather for the next few days!  We haven't seen snow here in a few years!  I love watching it blanket my property. Too bad I can't play in it!

Still not sleeping, but the heating pad is helping my lower back!  I am not a sitter.  In my younger years I would stand on desks, move around the room almost jogging, and use voices and sign language to teach!  I have slowed down as I no longer can jump on top of a student's deck reciting poetry or reading a dramatic novel!

I am so wiped out that I am fading!  Sorry I haven't addressed individual posts. I will catch up tomorrow!  Sending hugs and love to all!  Always, Susan

((((gramwe))))  so glad to hear from you!! So sorry about the le, and as ndgirl said, you sure seem to be all over it.  Glad to hear OG is healing well and it is not too obvious he is missing a finger.  Oh boy, baby any time!!  How exciting!!  I forgot, do we know if it is a boy or girl?  Waiting to hear about the weasel.

You are magic bobo, you must have connected in the ethers with gramwe!! As you tell more of your story, I just feel so bad for all that you had to go through.  My hope and prayer is that you are healing and regaining more strength each day.

Ariom, ldesim, & Fiaranch it does certainly seem that the true % of failure is being hidden.  That is frightful considering how awful the the consequences of the failure are and how much suffering is involved.  I don't understand how any dr in good conscience can not be honest up front.

LOL, I was just being honest, he is a hunk!  :D

Fiaranch, I have been extremely lucky with eBay.  I have been selling there full time for a bit over 12 years and have only had a few "people of eBay".  Just lucky I guess. I do take about 20 photos for each item and describe down to the tiniest crack, nick or rainbow.  I love what you said to DS!!  That is so true!

ndgirl, glad you made it to Fargo OK!  Have a wonderful time!

    Hugs!!

Yea Granwe! Was wondering if we needed to look up America's Most Wanted. Hope the yoga is helping.

We had a terrible drive to town yesterday. It's only 9 miles round trip so I feel your pain ND. Have a wonderful time.

Took baby in because I had an appt that was later cancelled. Both home today. Had to cancel JS:( I really needed it too.

I think we all have cabin fever. I finally mopped the kitchen floor on my butt. Can't do hands and knees anymore. Moved furniture. Swept snow.  No claw yet.

    Yes M he's a hottie.

In the bag tomorrow for Wrens appt.

Hello everyone else. Having a hard time keeping is straight. Chemo brain.

Birdie, in the bag for tomorrow.  I'll be at the PS's office, incredibly.  I have no problem drinking beer from there.

They are Fing me around right now because I need to change the date of my pre-sx appt, and the woman on  the phone won't do it, is passing it off, and threatening me with rescheduling the date of surgery, blah blah blah.  I bore myself, so I will stop, but I really don't think there is any need to treat me that way.  Hate the stupid PS office.

ndgirl, have fun on your trip!

Crickets are chirping around here. I know I am so jealous of Ndgirl who probably has her beautiful toes tucked in the sand, I so hope she enjoys herself.

    How did the appointments go?

It is so damn cold out and it isn't warming up anytime in the near future.. I am so ready for winter to be over and January is not even over.

Moving floors at the office didn't do much good, I still am get horrible headaches probably because the floors are connect by an internal staircase so the paint and varnish fumes can still travel.

It's looking really nice, they are painting the walls a light cream color and are sanding back all the trim and staining it dark, then they have feature walls throughout that are a gorgeous burgundy color and I guess there will also be new charcoal carpeting.  My temporary location is a tiny work station in the middle of the litigation dept... a/k/a the boys club.  It's a bit frustrating to work in such a tiny space, but I kind of enjoy the hustle and bustle... the guys are all loud and constantly joking around.

Zils, I am trying to envision washing the floor with one's butt... lol!

Sgc, glad you are enjoying the snow.. make sure to go out and play in it a bit :)

M, for once you can get up and shower in a timely manner!

Hope Bobogirl made out well with the PS.  Did I miss an announcement of surgery? When are you going in??

Eggplant & mushroom homemade pizza on the coffee table.

    Hugs to all!!!

ldesim, sorry about the headaches.  How much longer is the construction going to last?  It sounds like it will look nice.  Then first mention of sx that I know of was in the most recent post from bobo.  It is possible I missed it somewhere further back.

Appreciated your presence at my appt today. All went well. I have a mammo in Feb and she ordered another DEXA test. I'm a little anxious about that since I have osteopenia already. I just read that they want me taking 1200mg of calcium a day! That would be 3 x day and the kind I take is over the Calif limit for arsenic. I just can't swallow the big ones. The size is more appropriate for horses than people.

Idesim, Sympathy for the headaches. I have problems with a lot of that stuff too. Hopefully it will be better once everything is sealed. I'm coming to your house for dinner! Our favorite pizza is red peppers, eggplant and goat cheese.

Birdie, happy about your appt, that all went well, and agree about the horse pills.  Idesim, so sorry for the headaches.  I had a similar situation once, they were varnishing, and I couldn't stay through it.  I'm really sensitive to that kind of thing.  I am glad you are in the rowdy boys club.  And your pizza sounds great!

I believe our thread was having some sort of computer glitch.  Was shocked when no one had replied in 20 hours.  At first I thought they were sanctioning us because of our extreme potty mouths!  But no, they have not decided to do that yet.  And now M says her posts didn't post.  Bet she is hopping mad.

It is freezing here.  I know I should not complain.  But it is 19 with wind chill.  And it's not warming up during the days.  This is pretty hard on my chest area, walking back and forth between classes.

PS didn't go that well.  I just saw the PA.  But I was naked from waist up, and it was difficult for me -- I have not really looked at the whole picture -- and I tried to keep it together through the exam, but then I just started crying.  The PA gave me more of her song and dance of EVERYTHING'S GREAT!  LET'S LOOK ON THE BRIGHT SIDE!

Yes, Idesim, I'm having the other TE removed and revision sx on March 7th.  They say it's going to be quick and I can be back at work by the following Wednesday.  Don't really know how I'm going to balance all of these surgeries with my several jobs and my parenting duties.  Feel overwhelmed at times.

No posts on here from the 22nd. Wonder what happened? I just picked Goldie up from the vet. They had to pull all her teeth. The tech said they were so rotten she could feel the roots with her finger. So they gave her a 3 day pain shot and 14 day antibiotic shot. I'll be making Friskies soup for the next few days. Once her mouth heals up, she'll be fine. Just will need canned food from now on. She's very sweet and purred and purred when we took her out of the cage.

Hey there, yep hopping mad, Bobo, because I had actually left it till the afternoon, because I had the gardeners here putting in the watering system, others calling in for coffee, the phone didn't stop, and Barry made a delivery too.

    I answered everyone!

I can't get my head around washing the floor on my butt either, you're industrious Zills!

Ldesim, I am so sorry to hear you're having headaches from the fumes. I stopped the painters from finishing the house after I had my surgery. I knew I wouldn't be able to take the smell of the clear coat on the wood. Everything else is water based and allergy free, but they couldn't use a water base on the cedar windows. I can't deal with it, but now I am in a queue for the painters, and don't know when they can get to us. I am glad that I have relaxed a bit and don't stress like I used to about such things. It would be nice to see it all finished!

Well my garden is a mess. All that sprinkler dragging was for nothing. There are trenches dug all over for the pipes to go in. I have no idea how long it will take for the grass to recover.

Wren, have you tried the calcium powder? It is taken in liquid, and much easier than Horse Tablets. You can get it with the Vit D added too if you want it.

Ha Linda! I love Lambs Fry, but I can understand how some people are put off by it. I am a Scot, so was used to my Mother making old Scottish recipes that called for the things other people throw out!

Oh Bobo, I wish I'd been with you at that appointment. That woman needs a serious heads up to the right, shall we say "Ettiquette"  after life changing surgery. It just blows my mind how these people have absolutely no skills in the area they are working in. I'd like to bitch slap her for you!

I am sorry you are feeling overwhelmed, but I completely understand it. Any chance of MD coming in to help again? I know you may just want to bitch slap me for suggesting that, but help is help!

gB, I was sure that my posts went through yesterday. I have no idea what happened, and can't remember everything that was included.

I apologize for not answering everyone, so not intentional!

Posting to make sure this one works...M x

Do, do, do, do, cue the spooky music, my posts are all there now for the 22nd!

I am certain that they were not there when I looked yesterday.

It is absolutely bucketing down here. I started to sweep and rake the leaves that landed in my front yard with the high winds we've been having. I got half way through and it started to get dark and the thunder was rolling through, so I have a half filled bag of leaves and messy paths to contend with when it clears up.

At least I finished doing Dexter's "Poo Patrol" before the rain! LOL He cracks me up, he follows me and looks up at me every time I find and deposit another Poo in the bag, like he's thrilled that I want to keep them. He's a funny little guy! M x

Wren, great to hear your appt went well.  Awww, poor Goldie!  Nice to hear she is purring and comfortable with you. My cat won't touch canned food, I shudder to think what would happen if he had to have his teeth removed.

bobo, sorry you are still having to put up with such $hit.  That woman needs a class in etiquette at the very least.

Did you pm the moderators?  Do they have any reason why the posts were lost?

Ariom, I remember when my ex and I were having sprinklers installed in our first house.  Our beautiful green lawn looked like a bomb had exploded there!  But boy oh boy did we appreciate the sprinklers in the hot Summer!

Bobo I know exactly where you are coming from as far as having a difficult time looking.  I did the reveal and that has been the only time I have really looked at my chest.  It is a process that is gonna take sometime for me to feel good in my own skin.  These PS and assistants have no clue how emotional it can be on us.  When we did the reveal I cried as well and my PS said it is not the end of the world.  The bitch that i am I spewwwwwd out how about we cut off your penis and see how you feel.  He shut up real  quick and started apologizing. We have a luv hate relationship as you can tell. He knows not to mess with me. As someone said I am a bit feisty..... Lol   Wishing you well!!

I have a memorial service to go to tomorrow night of a dear friend that passed away from cancer.  I use to work with her a few years back.  We were diagnosed around the same time.  She was getting ready to come up on her five year mark surviving melanoma and they found it in her lungs, liver, kidneys.  We both were so sick from our treatments we were not able to spend much time together.  We would see each other at treatment or while we were getting our Neulasta shot.  This is gonna be so difficult for me, but I have to go.  We had a huge circle of the same friends and acquantices that we worked with.  Some I haven't seen since the company dissolved and others were great supporters for me. I kinda have this survivors remorse why was she taken and not me.  I asked several  friends if I should go because I don't want to make anyone uncomfortable.  They all said yes absolutely I should go.  It will be difficult not only from a cancer survivor standpoint but an image for me no boobs, no hair..... Just a hot mess... Lol.

Hi!! I have been trying to catch up on all the posts but it's tough! Quite the prolific bunch!

I noticed comments about hunk, Colin, and eventually saw the picture - wow! M, he's a keeper! For many reasons! I'm happy for you! :)

Sorry your garden is wrecked by the watering system, I guess next summer will be better and easier on your body. Although I say next summer, your growing season is probably year round? Not sure how cold your winters get.

Togetherness, my sincere condolences. What a sad story, it must be so difficult for you. I know everyone must be telling you this and you can't help but feel it, but try not to feel guilty about being the "lucky" one. You still have lots to give and do, and can keep the memory of your friend alive. I wish you lots of strength for tomorrow night, we will be thinking about you.

bobo - F* the PS & PA! You must be so looking forward to being done with all this and them. March 7th is not that far out, we can count down the weeks!

sgc, sorry you're not sleeping much, it makes life so tough to be sleep deprived. Is it just the back pains that are preventing you from sleeping well? I had a tough time too after BMx, I was not used to sleeping on my back and had this concoction of pillows that I tried to re-arrange all the time. I was happy when the drains were out and I was able to sleep on my sides a little.

Does anyone who has had a BMx sleep on their stomach? I used too before surgery and now I find the feeling so weird that I have not. I'm quite thin on top (not so much elsewhere) and I find it's gross sleeping on skin and bones!

Fiaranch, I had no idea that we were more susceptible to cavities with chemo.  And then the long term fluoride treatments? Yeah, BC really is the gift that keeps on giving! Too bad about the leak not fixed yet, that must be frustrating.

Hi gramwe! Glad you're back, you were missed! And glad that things are looking up, both for you and OG!

Idesim, good luck with the cold... I think this one is supposed to end tomorrow for us, what a brutal winter! Sorry about the headaches - do you have the option of working from home sometime?

Zills, gB, spookie, wren, Viv, and all - hi!

I went to an interesting BRCA meeting this week, going to Intro to Chemo tomorrow, then chemo grocery trip for spinach, liver, coconut oil, etc.,  and a juicer  - everyone that's been through chemo is telling me to get one, I'm so not that type of person and right now I see it as something else to add to the to-do list...  But I will try to have a great weekend as a family, the last normal weekend before chemo starts!

Togetherness, I am so sorry about the loss of your friend. Yes, you should go to the memorial.  Don't worry about flat, or hair, your friends will be glad to see you.  Go and celebrate the life of your friend.

otc, I never was much of a stomach sleeper, but did on occasion.  Since BMX,I haven't slept on my stomach at all!  It just doesn't feel right somehow.   I never really thought about it before. Interesting.

Togetherness, We'll all be holding your hands tomorrow during the memorial. I agree, keep your friend's memory alive and celebrate a wonderful person.

Otceb, I've always read not to eat your favorite foods during chemo. It will just ruin them for you.

I'm only a uni, but I do sleep on my stomach at times. I'm mostly a side sleeper tho. I like hugging DH on the side with no boob because I feel closer to him that way. I can feel his heart.
