OBEY THE NAP ATTACK!!!!!!!!
It does get better, slowly. Don't beat yourself up with "shoulds". The dust bunnies aren't going anywhere. I'm 18 months out, still need a nap now and then.

Here I am, everything is ok!! Mammo came back good and the other issue is absolutely nothing! I get the mammo in morning and they give you a phone number to call about 2hours later and a recording tells you if you need further testing, of course I couldn't wait the full time called after one and half hour and I was holding my breathe for what it said, so I then felt pretty good but still had to see breast dr in the afternoon and all went well, still another four years of arimidex but so far so good. thanks to everyone in the bag for me, I honestly think I felt your presence , oh I love to play cribbage, dh and I usually have a game every morning and one grandson also plays..good game.
Behind a on reading posts.. Zills how are the kids? Thanks Bobo for checking in too
Will post and read more later in week, I am beat down to my socks!!

Woohoo ndgirl, that's great news! No wonder you are beat down to your socks! (love that). Go and put your feet up, and just breathe.
I think I will obey the nap attack now too
Dawn. Xx

Hi ldesim, what an incredible marathon that was! Aren't people amazing, I love those selfless stories. Sounds like you cried most of the way through it!
I don't do cribbage, so I will be glad to do the manis in the bag.
We are doing manis and face masks tonight. Another night of hysteria for sure! We have such great memories of my parents so we have to do the broad Scots accent, when we do the story, which just breaks us up, every time. Colin just shakes his head and leaves us to it!
Hi cdelv! The napping does get better, but it doesn't take much, to "Hit the Wall!" in the first month or two. Try to let it take its course, you need the rest and the anesthetic takes a toll.
Take it easy ladies! M x

Boy up at 4. Baby up at 5. Think it's allergies with everything trying to bloom at once. You've never heard so much snotting, snorting and sneezing. They have serious SEs from meds so walking a fine line so it doesn't turn into something worse.
That's awesome that you got it all done in one day! I wish that would happen for me. Scan on Monday, results on Thursday.
In the bag for SGC? For chemo tomorrow. I was as sick as you so I understand your reluctance. It's your last one. You can do it. We will be with you. There is light at the end of your tunnel so hang on. You will feel so good in a few weeks that it will be unreal. Just in time to enjoy the outdoors before it gets miserable.

nd! I missed your post and I have been thinking about you all day! I am so thrilled to hear it is nothing at all to worry about.
You deserve a really nice rest after all that. I bet you feel so relieved!
Zills, golly that's early rising, I am so sorry the kids are so snotty, I hope they get better soon. It's awful at the start of Spring, Bec used to be a snot factory and she'd wheeze and scratch. If it's any consolation, it does get better!
I have your appointment in my little diary, so I am there, in the bag, on Monday.
SGC, I am so glad it is your last Chemo, I know you've had a rough time, but just think...you've come this far and it's the last one. We're all there, hoping it will be over soon and you'll be feeling just as well as Zills says you will, and soon!
We are about to go to bed, we've had some late nights and they are catching up with us.
Take care everyone...catch you later..M x

I'm going for my second rad today. Hubby has the day off so we're going on the motorcycle, first time out this year, hope it will be warm enough. Think I'll look cool laying on the radiation table all in leather????
I got my free pair of knitted knockers yesterday. They are pretty, done in pink, with a sage green back, nipples & a little charm. I asked for an A cause I knew they ran big & round...but wow I still had to take fill out. I may wear them today, keep my chest warm on the bike.

Good morning all! ND I am so glad it was all ok! I thought about you all day. I understand that you felt our presence. I felt the same way with my surgery. It was like you were all right there, holding my hand. I get the nap thing totally! Yesterday was the first day I didn't nap, but today, I feel just exhausted and don't feel like doing anything. They took out another drain yesterday and it was a stinger! it still stings a bit this morning. I will continue to stay in the bag for everyone this week and Monday and look forward to the pedi from M. Vintage~ I am thinking you will rock the leathers! Be blessed sweet sisters!

oooo came in to check on Ndgirl.. kept thinking yesterday was Sunday lol! Yay!!!!!! Great news

Hello everyone!! Raining here today so not working outside. Don't know if I will be able to catch up completely, but will do my best.
ndgirl, yay for the great report. I really like you got it all done in the same day. That's the way it should be!!
In the bag for all the appointments this week, I don't play cribbage, but I'll get in line for a mani!!
Regarding the nap or hitting the wall, I am just past 8 months out from sx and I still have days when I need a nap and where I've hit that wall that requires an immediate nana nap. It doesn't happen nearly as often as in the beginning but every once in a while, its nap time!!
ldesim, it was a very moving Marathon for so many people. Lots of tear invoking stories being told. I am so glad it went peacefully. And YAY for an American winning the men's race!!
Ariom, glad you are having such a nice visit with Bec. Will she share a pix of her with her burgundy hair with all her Aunties here? She was so cute in that sombrero last time!!
sgc, Yay that this is your last chemo.
Vintage, cool for leathers at your rads, you go girl!
Zills, still hoping for a speedy recovery for the little ones. The pollen has been bad here and I have a runny nose factory here myself. Not fun!
I'm thinking about all of you even if I missed some. Sending hugs to everyone!!

My mother raised me to believe that a nap was meant to be. I learned not to make a peep during her nap. I don't nap daily, but probably would if I got up early. When I just have to nap it feels like fog is in the front part of my brain and I have no other choice.

Anybody ever have shingles? Went to my PT appt today and showed the tech my rash. It was across my mastectomy scar and near my drain site, so I thought it was related to the surgery. Last night it was the most uncomfortable, but I was living with it. I also assumed it was just from sensitive skin from not wearing a bra or from my arms rubbing against my dog ears when exercising / walking. They think it's shingles ... booo! Of course, tonight I itch all over - must be psychosomatic!!!!
0 -
Cdelv, If it's shingles, they can prescribe an anti-viral which will really help. It needs to be done immediately, however, so talk to your doc right away. They can tell because the inflammation follows a nerve path. DH had shingles on his forehead and they were really worried about his eye. If you're itching all over, it might be something else (or else psychosomatic) everywhere else. Do call your doc right away.

Hi cdelv, Oh I had shingles from the stress when my Dad died. It wasn't pleasant and I didn't get to the Doctor early enough for the medication that could help it in the early stages.
It wasn't very itchy, as I recall, but more of burning nerve pain, mine was in the classic place from my navel around to my back. I hope this turns out to be something else for you that just goes away, perhaps an allergic reaction, or something very temporary. If it has to be shingles I hope it is just a minor case, mine didn't last too long and was considered minor. As if you need this after all the other stuff!
I am hoping it turns out to be nothing! Fingers crossed! M x

on my way to second rad earlier today, so good to have a warm day after such a loooong chemo miserable winter

Wren, posting at the same time! I missed the window for the medication for the Shingles.
I am the same Wren, if I feel a nap coming on, I have that fog to the brain too. It usually happens if I sit down after lunch to read or watch something on television. It is a completely different feeling to night time tiredness and I can't really fight it. Sometimes 20 minutes is enough of a nap for me, but sometimes an hour is what it takes.LOL
Vintage, you look so good! I love that jacket! I hope you have a great ride. I had boyfriends with bikes in my younger days and I loved to go everywhere on the back of a bike. Even if I got helmet hair! LOL One of my girlfriends has a Harley and belongs to a club, they do all sorts of wonderful volunteer work and raise money for the kids with Cancer. I have a pic with me on it. I'll try to post it! Good luck with the Rads today, and have a wonderful time with your Husband on the bike! M x
gB, Bec and I haven't taken any shots, but I will make an attempt to get one of her hair today to post for you!
jsj1 Take it easy today, my drain was a zinger too, Nurse had to put her foot on my bed to get that sucker out! Have a laid back day today, feeling good always makes us overdo and then we have a reminder that we have been through a lot and it is time for a rest, go with it, you'll feel refreshed and ready to overdo it again tomorrow! LOL See you in the bag for the pedi!
Still thinking about ndgirl and how great she must feel today! Hugs to you!
It is very chilly here today, we couldn't go out on the boat yesterday, the clouds were very ominous and there was no wind. We sat in the warm watching the boats that did go out, sitting out there without a breath of wind to move them, and then the rain poured down, so it was the right decision, if we had taken Bec out, it would have been her last in those conditions.LOL She isn't a sailor!
Take it easy everyone...catch you all later! M x

A huge thanks to everyone for the well wishes! What a great group this is.
Ariom- sounds so much fun is being had down under!! what a great memory you are making and I love that you enjoy memories of your parents! Special time with your daughter! ps.. I ordered an Energy Amoena foob and more bras...
Vintage..wow what a young biker mama!!Great picture. love your new avatar too. Hope your weather improves too, ours got so nice and warm.. 77 on Easter Sunday and now comes the cool again. Where did you get the knitted free knockers?
Cdelv.. hoping you do not have shingles. Never had them but have heard they can be nasty. I got the shot which doesnt guarantee you dont get them but is supposed to lessen them.
Sgc, last chemo... hang in there. hugs to you.
Zills, kids getting up early was never my favorite part of being a mom!! I am not a good morning person, sure hope things calm down for you soon. Love hearing about your horses, at one time in our lives we had 11 horses, I loved my Palamino she was my favorite, Georgie Girl was her name. Thinking of your scan on Monday.
GB, ok it is raining and now will be moving our way, darn, it is so nice hear now and they are even saying a few snow flurried this weekend...grrr. When we got home I exclaimed Yes I can get to my clothes line to hang out sheets.... yea, I still hang laundry, nothing beats the smell of fresh dried sheets! I was "green" before it was cool to be!
Idesim. sure thought of you during the Marathon time. you are such a trooper.
Js, drains out is the best.. take it slow and easy.
Wren, how is Goldie doing. love to hear how she gets under the covers.
Dawny, Thanks for thinking of me and take all the naps you need!!
Spookiesmom, agree that those dang dust bunnies dont go anywhere, so dont worry about them.
Otc.. how are you doing??
Hi to everyone else I missed. I am so glad to be home, going to take a long bath and hit the pillow! Good night my friends.

Nice pic, Vintage! And thanks ladies for all your input. I have an appt first thing in the morning so we'll see if it's shingles or not!

nd, so glad to hear you are doing so well! That was a scare!
Yep, lots of fun here, but we haven't really done anything away from the house. With the holiday days and the stores all closed and then the rain and the yard sale, I don't know where all the time has gone.
I have an Energy form too! They are different because of that shape, and you can swivel them around to sit just how you want them to and they have nodules on the back which are supposed to massage. I like the clear silicone on the back which is supposed to transfer heat and cold too. I wore mine in hot weather and it was good, I still found I would perspire behind it but not excessively.
I love air dried sheets and towels too, there is nothing like the smell of fresh air and sunshine! I must say I don't like soft towels, I have thick soft ones made from Bamboo and cotton for guests and I buy cheap cotton ones for me and Colin. The crunchier the better.LOL
Going to take Dex for a walk before the rain starts again...chat later....M x

CDelv. I hope it's not shingles. My rash was a reaction to the cocoa butter the PT used. My friend had a rash after sweating when working out right after exchange surgery.
In the bag for SGC! Kids slept in until 6! But they were exhsusted last night. Boy napped about 10 min in car and had his inhaler so he got a second wind.
I did water aerobics yesterday. Was tired, napped for a little bit before getting kids. Little sore but can tell that fatigue takes a toll on my mood. I was worried and crying. Cup of tea to the rescue!
I spoke to my boss. She is three years out. Had chemo but no rads. She works full time, has one child left at home and takes pix as a sideline. She says she naps every day, drinks three cokes and snacks because all she wants is sweets.
Off to admin meds to the snotty, snorty, sneezy, wheezy. Sounds like the seven dwarfs.

Hiya Zills! So sorry you're still dealing with sneezing and wheezing. I am not surprised to hear you are feeling fatigued, that's a lot of stuff to be dealing with. I hate to think of you crying and feeling worried:)
I wonder if the water aerobics may help a bit, with your mood, it is a great method of exercise because you can modify it to suit your energy level of the day.
I hope everyone starts to feel better, including you Zills. Hugs from me!

It's official … It's shingles! Doc gave me 3 prescriptions. We'll see how it goes!
0 -
Oh cdelv, I am so sorry! I hope you got the meds soon enough that they kick it quickly.
I am seriously thinking about getting the shingles vaccination when I have my yearly with my PCP in June. I will be on medicare then and think they will cover the shot. My ins now doesn't cover it. I am seeing him on Friday for a sore on my ear that just won't heal. It has been months and I think it is time to have him freeze it. I'm trying not to think of what it could be. I will talk to him about the shot but won't do it till June.

Thank you all for being in the bag today. You helped me show up and get through my last infusion of Adriamycin and Cytoxen ! I never want to see that red shiit again! On to the echo and the three week Herceptin infusions.
cdelv- so sorry about the shingles! I hope the meds work quickly and you are feeling better soon!
Zills- I should join your sneezing, snotty, wheezing, allergy ridden kids! The pollen is so bad here that the cars are all yellow! I do hope it calms down for you and you can get some relief! Sometimes there is so much going on inside of me my eyes "leak" too. I just hope you aren't leaking too often and worrying too much. If you need to unload, feel free to pm me - no judgements, just hugs.
GrammaB- hope your ear is okay. Please let us know what the doc says.
Vintage- you are definitely one hot 60 year old biker mama! Must be all that fresh air in NH because you look great!
Nd- so glad all is well! I can't believe you all had 77 on Easter when we only were in the 50's in VA! This weather is very different this year. Or I am noticing it more?
Ariom- can't wait to hear more about your visit with Bec!
Idesim, jsj, wren, Dawny, spookie, and OTC sending gentle hugs and all my best intentions! Now I am ready for my mani and I dare say my nails are a mess so I am now in the bag for the remainder of the week!

Cdelv, oh darn, was hoping for no shingles, like the above said, hope meds are in time.
GB, oh no, something else to worry about. Thinking the best for you, glad you are getting it checked out. Keep us posted.
Zills, I hate to think of you crying too, or anyone else. Sending calming thoughts to you and big hugs.
Sgc, yippee, the last of the red devil shit! Take care and go slow, Well our nice weather has left of course, wish we were in the 50's today.. 45 is high and is to be rest of week along with cold rain. We sure know how to appreciate a nice day tho!! cause we get so few it seems.

Sorry it's shingles. Hope it goes away quickly. In the bag for OTC.
Baby already up. Boy got in our bed last night and is still asleep. I don't remember so that's progress with my sleeping:)
Got foobs and three bras yesterday. Anniversary (12 yrs) this weekend but sister throwing up. No other babysitters. Will grill out. Last weekend for horse races and Rolex 3 day event in town so places will be packed. Guess will save them. Maybe angel wing swelling will go down.
Need to eat and pack lunches. Birds very happy this morning. Have JS so I am too. Have a great day!

Sorry the cooler weather returned ND!
Happy Anniversary Zills!
The red devil really got me yesterday! Not even one day before I felt like crapola! Had me down for the count by 6 pm. Going for the dreaded shot today. At least it will be the last one!
Hope everyone has a spectacular day, S

Morning everyone, I have read everything to try to keep up. Hugs to everyone. Today is Anzac Day in Australia there are dawn services everywhere and all the old soldiers march with their medals and the streets are lined with onlookers and children waving little flags. It is a very touching scene.
It is because this public holiday came a week after Easter that Bec was able to have such a long stay here, with only 3 leave days, to give her 10 days off in a row. Today is the last day, she leaves at lunch time tomorrow. I can't believe how fast is has gone and we haven't done a lot. The weather has been a bit unsettled, so we haven't been out on the water, not even in the kayak.
Today is beautiful but on 3c so pretty brisk, even though there is bright sun and blue skies. The water is like glass and there are a few Pelicans around. They will all be back soon and I will be getting up to about 60 of them right out in front of the house soon.
Anyway, I am thinking about all of you and will be back tomorrow after Bec goes home. I will try to get her to take pic today, but she wasn't keen when I asked earlier, because of a couple of pimples and being makeup free! LOL
Take it easy everyone...M x
