Good morning from "DownUnder!" It is a sunny crist morning with sunshine and I have been running up and down trying to get a good picture of the Pellicans this morning, my feet are frozen, because I just grabbed flip flops and ran out in my dressing gown. I am sure the neighbors think I am a mad woman, but the Pelicans are just sensational!

It is Thursday again, so I am off to see my friend at the Opp Shop this morning and then I have to prepare for the Pink Ladies meeting tomorrow.

I hope everyone has had a good day, see you later...M x

good morning m. Rx and pedicure last two on list. Found a pair of Chico capris for $1 and a Ruby Rd shirt for 50 cents.

Sorry SJ about the asthma and fever. Hope it's better now.

JS and pedicure tomorrow. Kids last day. They're having a picnic and wearing red, white and blue plus swimming.

It's 6:30 and I'm ready for bed or a pint. Already had cookies today. Storms last night so baby in my bed. Boy up at 4.

Supposed to be cooler on Thursday and Friday. Back to heat wave on Monday!

Hi Zills, good for you! That's the kind of bargain I like to see. I went shopping at a Chicos in Atlanta and loved it, I still wear the Denim Jacket I got on sale there!

I have been getting emails for the 4th of July sales, but haven't anything I need.

I hope you enjoy having a bit of pampering tomorrow!

The beauty school in town sent out  a message that they want to fill their appointments for the graduating class. I may just avail myself of a facial and a hot stone massage, well maybe not the massage, come to think of it. I may scare the girl with my Uni, it may be a little too much too soon!LOL

    Have a lovely night ladies!  M x

I have heard uttered today the words I fear the most. "The Pathologist found what he thinks are cancer cells in your fallopian tubes. We have a Gyno Oncologist looking at the slides and he will be here to see you in the morning." It all just seems so unreal. Not really sure of anything right now other than I am numb and scared shitless.  On top of that, they can't figure the fever out, it was back up to 101 this afternoon, so they called in an Internist and he is doing all sorts of tests. Just really been a shit day. Thanks for letting me whine. Hugz to you all and I will let you know what I find out in the morning. Zills, I am glad you found some pants and a top. I really hope you have the time of your life on your trip. M~ have fun at the Opp Shop.

Oh jsj, I am thinking of you right now. I understand how scared you must be, the waiting again, that's just so shitful.

Gentle hugs to you and Sailman, you're both in my thoughts.  That's not whining, you come here any time and say or do whatever feels good, we're all here to listen if you need us. M x

Oh JS, I could not be more sorry to hear this from you, but there is time to send hugs, prayers and positive energy your way that those cells will NOT be cancer, also a 2nd opinion never hurts, actually they should be mandatory! hope they figure out the fever too, geez you have every right to whine, bitch whatever you want here. Will be checking tomorrow for more from you... good luck.

Zills, wow what bargains you got! good for you. Wish I could send you some of our cooler weather, finally tomorrow we are to get some warmth going... we will see. I am so excited for your trip, hope you have a wonderful time and forget every care you have ever had.

Ariom, aww go ahead, break the young girl in right away, after all this is the real world. I had a hot stone massage in Colorado one year, wondeful!

Hi ladies, just thought I'd put up some pics to show you what I woke up to this Winter morning, on the lake. The Pelicans arrive for the Winter and often I can get up to 60+ right outside.

The next shot is my back garden, a few minutes ago, the sun is really warm today.

Apart from the big twisted Fig to the left, virtually everything else you can see, is less than 18months old, but has established really well. The grass was destroyed when the trench was dug to install the gas lines, but it has finally revived and the Bamboo, giant Strelitzias and the Palms that I was told would never survive, are loving it here!

The barely visible boat shed, far left, is the room I am going to tackle next, as a studio and a place for my treadmill and home gym stuff.

This is not a typical Winter day in Victoria, but we do get them occasionally! M x

jsj, Fingers crossed and sending good thoughts. Do let us know right away. My best friend's sister had colon cancer. When they operated for that they found ovarian cancer as well. This was 15 years ago and she's still doing fine. Hugs. I can't imagine how awful it is to wait.

Spookiesmom, thank you! I love the stitching process that can tie the 3 or more pictures together for the Panorama. The garden really isn't a huge amount of work, it is fairly low maintenance.

jsj, still thinking about you and hoping you got some rest.

How was your night Zills, did the kids sleep though?

You've got a big day today, I hope it all goes well...M x

jsj  so sorry you have to go through this, sending good vibes and hugs to you this morning, please know you have lots of sisters who care!

I saw my bs on Tuesday for post op appt, she said everything was healing well and she didn't need to see me until next April 2015. Interestingly, she told me she battled colon cancer 10 years ago, she referred me to her oncologist who I met with yesterday…a very sweet quiet unassuming lady doc with a genuine big heart, ordered Onco so will see what comes back in couple weeks.( my team is still all women-- "Beyonce's band"  working on me as one of you called it )

Zills  I hope you have a wonderful trip and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Ariom  just beautiful view. Wish we could all magically be there and have a tea party in your back yard……promise we would clean up any mess and not be too boisterous to annoy neighbors and make them think you have crazy friends…. lol. Seriously that is serene. Thanks for sharing. I need to figure out how to post pics.

Hi Helenna, thank you! I would love to have all of you over for a tea party! How good would that be! It is warm enough to eat, out in that garden, in the Winter, it's protected, but if you go out on the lake side, it is absolutely freezing.

I have a real "thing"about Pelicans and have always felt they are some kind of guide for me. I have so many weird experiences with them, but the most amazing one was the day of my Mother's Funeral. Just as they were lowering her casket, we looked up and there was a flock of 7 Pelicans that flew in low, over the grave, 3 peeled off in one direction and 4 the other way. It gives me goosebumps just thinking about it.

I am so pleased that things are running smoothly for you and you're liking the Doctors, it makes all the difference. Take it easy...M x

Beautiful Ariom! As I have said before Paradise! We have pelicans around too, just saw a flock 2 days ago and some landing on a lake and I thought of you. Such a story at your Mom's funeral,, hmmm. I love cardinals and our area is not good for them, a little too far west, although we did have one winter here about 10 years ago, such a bright spot in winter, but anyway we were in WI when dil passed away and we were all out on patio next morning and a bright red cardinal appeared on a nearby branch and just sang his heart out.. gave me chills, as I had not seen one there before even tho they are always around. Lots of things we dont understand.

When we would go up north in Canada fishing the pelicans would land ahead of us then fly on ahead as we approached closer with the boat.. fun to watch. By the way, I would trade you winter days!Headphones

Helena glad to hear you are healing well and hope the test come back as you want. Thinking of JS this morn. waiting is the worst.

Hey everyone!! I'm still around, checking periodically, but just haven't posted much. I've been puttering in the yard and having strange "mini" Claw episodes in the evening. Feels more like a zipper opening and closing along my scars. Very odd! And my low back has decided to start hurting again too....

jsj, I'm sending positive energy your way. So right about the waiting su¢king!! Hope the news is good.

Ariom, love the pelicans and your yard is gorgeous!!

Wren, sorry about the boot, but love the Goldie stories.

Zills, I was so sad reading about the letters, glad you have that behind you now. I hope everyone gets well and you have a good flight. What a great time you will have! I need to do some OP shop shopping!!!

Helenna, glad you are healing well. Sounds like you have a great team looking after you. My bs discharged me after 4 weeks, interesting yours wants to see you again next year.

Fia, I love your thoughts for the day as usual!! I'm definitely in the "To he11 with it" category too!

Waving hi to everyone I've missed, ndgirl, bobo, dawny, Spookiesmom, everyone!!

    Hugs!

It is official, I have unknown stage IIIc Ovarian cancer. It was in both tubes and ovaries and the cavity wash showed signs of cancer cells. I go back in on the 14th and have exploratory surgery to make sure they have gotten it all and then will have 6 months of chemo.  My biggest fears have been realized. It seems so unreal right now. He said it is an extremely aggressive cancer and it probably wasn't there two months ago. He said, assuming it hadn't spread, that I had a good prognosis. He called it serous carcinoma. That is all I know for now. I am still in the hospital as I am still running a bit of fever, but the lab and blood work all came back good so they think it just may be a viral chest cold, but have me on two types of IV antibiotics just in case.
