All I have to say this morning is....

    image

I am definitely ready to put on my bitch cape and go to town. The woman I work with is an insufferable, hateful, nasty, hypocritical christian, who I couldn't please if I were Jesus.

    Thanks,

    Stacey

jsj, that is certainly no fun to have to be around such a downer of a person. Remember she has the problem and must have a miserable life.

Ariom, thanks for posting the photos, I can't wait to get to the point to be able to see all the options and shop. Love those camis.

What a morning! Bronchitis still….kept me up a few hours coughing, think its slowly easing up but is taking forever.

Two of our three yellow labs (rescues of course) decided to have a little rumble in the yard, I ran over to break it up and since the grass was wet from rain I slipped and fell down and on top of one of them. I was screaming and yelling "lets go eat" which got them to stop…..labs are so food motivated. Got up and checked that drain tube was still in, nothing broke though could have easily broke an arm, ankle, etc. Once in the house they got a good cursing from mama. Had to change my pj bottoms as the knees were all grass stained! Hope neighbors didn't see.  Think its time for some cinnamon toast, whew.

Otherwise I feel great. Hoping June surgery girls are all recovering nicely. xoxoxo

Morning all! It's freezing here today! It has been a wild old night with strong winds and bucketing rain! Everything is just a different shade of grey this morning and even though the heating has been on for a couple of hours, it still isn't really warm inside. The winds are so strong that everything is rattling.

No walks today, I think it may be a couch day with a warm blankie and a dog!

Helenna, that fall could have been much worse, what a relief you didn't do any real damage. You make me laugh, I used to have a devil of a time if Dex managed to get out the front door, he would never listen, selective hearing, so I would call out "Dinner Time" or "Foodies" whilst chasing him down. I was usually in my dressing gown, because it would mostly be a carer arriving, who'd leave the door open and the gate unlatched.

Gosh that Bronchitis is taking its sweet time to leave. Have you tried Olive Leaf? I take it all the time, as a supplement, but it is just amazing for shifting any kind of respiratory bacteria or virus. When I was at my pre op, the anesthetist told me to stop taking all supplements, but when I told him I took Olive Leaf and didn't want to stop , he said I could keep taking that, he takes it too. The other good shifter is Bisolvin. Bec is an asthmatic, worse than me and if she gets an infection she uses this, I think it is Mucinex in the US.  I was paranoid about coming down with something prior to my surgery, which was right on Christmas, and could have held it up over the Holidays. Just a thought.

Glad to hear that apart from the Bronchitis you're doing well, most of us were the same. I was so amazed that it wasn't anywhere near, what I expected. It is hard to explain to people about to undergo the surgery because it sounds like you're being flippant when they are terrified. My surgeon had told me he thought I'd just "breeze" through it. I remember saying to Colin, "Geeesh, easy for him to say!" but as it turned out, he was absolutely right!

It won't be long now and you'll be shopping up a storm! ndgirl and I couldn't wait to get Contact Prosthesis, it was a mission, because you have to wait much longer to be able to wear these attachable ones. We both got them and then hardly wear them. It is all just trial and error, not everyone will find the same things as comfortable as others do and the size makes a difference too. Glad you liked the photo, doing "selfies" is new to me! LOL

Well, I hope all of you are enjoying nice weather, I will be thinking of you as I snuggle on the couch today, after some French Toast and Bacon with Canadian Maple Syrup...yumm! M x

Good thing Goldie is an inside cat. We have a robin nesting just under the roof over our deck. We're cautiously optimistic about seeing the babies. A couple of years ago we had a robin in the same nest, but she was killed by a hawk while looking for food in the yard. The shelter had a swallow build a nest over a lightbulb cover a few years ago. It was great fun seeing the little mouths begging for food.

Today is Seattle's Gay Pride parade. DH's group is marching, so he dyed his white hair in a rainbow and made his sneakers into rainbows as well. The sneakers are really cute - I'd wear them if they were my size. I hope they don't get rained on. It's cloudy and 64F here with "occasional showers" whatever that means.

Helena, Loved your story of getting the dogs to stop their rumble. Tennis balls would work with DS's lab.

    Morning Wren!

How lovely to have a nest so close!

I sure hope it doesn't rain on your parade, sorry couldn't resist that one.....seriously, I hope it is fun!

Where is everyone, I don't think I have ever seen it so quiet here?

Deceptively sunny this morning, looks great but the wind is coming straight from the snow fields. I have a busy week this week, so I hope it doesn't rain too much. Take it easy....chat later! M x

Hi everyone! we are back from a weekend with gd's, whew, they are busy. But I did get a good amount of shopping done, found some great deals and also found some really great tops at the OP shop as Ariom says! I love paying $3 for tops that are originally $50.00 and tags still on...my kind of deal. I always check for a certain kind of a sandal shoe that is not made anymore as I have had plantar fascitis a few years back and they are so easy on my feet and still look cute.. no luck there but the tops made up for it. Nice pic. Ariom, suppose I better tell you that I also have ordered the Amoena pj's with the long pants and the nightie... should be here tomorrow. I also bough a Genie cami shaper that I will try. It just cant stop raining here, we drove home and it rained all the way!! my lovely peonies are drooped from the wind and rain.. hope they come back up if it ever quits, wish we could share this moisture with the states that need it and they could send us some heat!! well guess it was pretty warm on Sat. and very, very humid, but even that was ok with me as it was warm!!

Wren, hope your rain lets up too. Parade go ok?

Helena, sounds like you are a trooper and doing well, keep it up. Cough any better?

ndgirlHigh 5 to you!!!!! Ilove the Op shop bargains and you are definitely as bad as I am in the clothing obsession. I received another parcel from the woman I bought the whole range of clothing from, unfortunately, only one item was right, so I have to post the rest back to her, but I am expecting some more pajamas from the US this week too, those prices were just too good!  have a Geni cami shaper on, right now! I like them with the Contact.

Cold and damp here today..take it easy! M x

Ok, lets show my "newbieness", what is the OP shop?

Newbie story….thought I'd look through the bag they gave me at the hospital, there were 4 very soft puffs that I guess I am to use until I have healed a few more weeks and can get fitted for my foobie. The only problem was they are so BIG I would look like Dolly Parton with one of those! Kept thinking how could they think I would use one of those "big girls"?  I thought I will have to take these into the boutique at the hospital and tell them I need much smaller ones, they were huge, I am petite at 5'1". Alas, looking them over I see the opening in the back and duh….. you can take out the amount of fiberfill to make them the right size. Got a laugh out of that!

Big storms in Illinois coming into Indiana this morning, we are under the gun for possible tornadoes late afternoon so I will be on edge today, certainly don't want to see any of that!

Wren what fun to watch those baby birds. Goldie must love watching them too!

ndgirl love peonies but why do they always have so many ants in them! Bronchitis just starting to let up finally.

Oh BikerLee! I love it! And you are very welcome... there is another picture that goes along with it... hang on and I will see if I can find it.. Helenna, glad the bronchitis is letting up, that is just the worst to cough with this kind of surgery.  Hope the tornadoes don't come and the weather calms down!

Lesson for the day for Newbies : Op shop= thrift store :)..

Hugz to you all and hope all is well with each and everyone. I have my hysterectomy in the morning and the PS is going to sneak in and put an effin drain back in the right side. Cinching me up so tight didn't do anything at all, it just kept on swelling and looked like I was overflowing a bra.. WOW! haven't worn one of those in a few months, LOL..  I love being flat!

You've done so well. I will be thinking of you!

Love the Bitch slapper! Please give Sailman a hug from me. Tough for him tomorrow too! Hugs...M

Hi Bikerlee, so sorry you're having a co worker issue too. My daughter as them too!

Helenna, In Australia we don't call them thrift stores, here, these are Opportunity Stores, second hand, mostly, but often new stuff, because our government gives tax breaks to companies who donate new stock to these stores. They are often run by Church groups, but not always. I volunteered at a huge one, for 6 years, before I moved here, to this little coastal town, 2 years ago.

Since moving here, I have discovered about a dozen Op Shops in the region, so I occasionally do an Op Shop run, which can take a whole day! LOL The truth be known, I think there are a lot of ladies here who love to volunteer, so that's why there are so many. It isn't because they are actually required. LOL

A few of us here enjoy the "Hunt" and report our "super buys" here on the thread.  I am a yard sale addict too and get a real buzz from finding something special, I suppose the truth be known, I am just a shopping addict!

I had to smile at your PooFy story. Here in Aus, before our surgery, they give us a care pack which includes  Berlei  Bra with those adjustable thingies a cushion for the ride home and a shoulder bag for the drains. I didn't "Get it" right away either! LOL

Keeping my fingers crossed that you don't have any of that extreme weather!

    Hugs to everyone...M x

JS, in the bag for tomorrow, hope things so smooth and quick! loving the bitch slap pics!!

the Amoena pjs arrived, this time I ordered size med and I like it better, they are very nice and fit well, but are cut a little lower in front than the capri jammis, wish that wasnt the case but it is. I better not bend over in front of too many! But no matter, would probably only weat them with my bf when she visits and we have coffee/tea in mornings on the deck and she would not care. No morning deck coffees with this weather, rained all damn day again, wind blew over the delphiniums now... grrr.

    Take care all!

I haven't received my brown ones yet ndgirl, that's a shame, that they are too low cut in front, wouldn't you think they'd get that right?

Take a look at the Valetta T shirt. I have one on today and it sits really well and is comfy under a jacket.

Sorry to hear about your Delphiniums, I just noticed that some of my Palms have frostbite, sigh! Not surprising, it has been very cold and the ground has been covered in frost in the morning. Most of my herbs have karked it too! Is that an Aussie term? Not sure, it means they have turned up their toes! LOL   M x

jsj hoping all went well today. Loved the newbie lesson of the day, keep 'em coming! Thrift stores, Goodwills, yard sales…..all so much fun and especially when you find a treasure, and don't get me started on antique malls…... I'm a nut for primitives, folk art.

Ariom I've seen in England OP shops that are run by different groups like animal welfare, so we have relatives that love animals so they donate and shop mostly at those stores, a neat idea to support your favorite cause. I think you and I would get in trouble if we lived close to each other! lol

Zills  corset omg that is funny. Where are you heading to?

Helenna, it is the same here RSPCA or Church or Lost Dogs HOmes etc. I give to the 2 we have here in my little town, simply because I shop at both. One is Uniting Church and the other is simply for the town. One gives everything to the town and the other is 50/50 Church and town. They support our own Ambulance Service the school and lots of community groups. I have been known to walk out after buying something that I donated, by mistake!

You're right we could get into some trouble shopping!LOL

I see Zills hasn't been back so I'll answer for her, she's off to Ireland for a month or so. It must be soon, but I can't remember exactly when. Take it easy everyone M x

Can't find any shirts or shorts. looking for 100% cotton. Maybe sweater/tank sets? Run out of time. Can always shop over there. Someone said I didn't have to get new stuff, they haven't seen my old stuff. Yes but I am boobless and put on 15 lbs. plus it's mid 60s there and not sure how my hot flashes will be. Miserable here with heat and humidity. Pushing 100.

Need a pedicure and stroller and I guess I'm done. My new glasses aren't right so have to get that taken care of and get all the rx. Waiting on two but have to wait until closer to get an override.

The boy's brother is in town so they've been spending the afternoons together. Baby has an infection. Started on antibiotics so we'll have clear ears for Monday.

DH said he knows where the store is, not to worry about him. He's going to run out of lots of things. Have been creative with odds and ends. My secret weapon is to give my sister some money and a list so we will have fresh bread and milk and eggs waiting on us when we come dragging home.

Want to fall asleep at a decent hour tonight. Stayed up late one night and then the hot weather and sick baby. Dragging. Don't want to start our vacation like this.

I'll should get in a couple more posts before Monday. Friday is a holiday. The boy keeps asking about America's birthday.  Fireworks too late for me. Bbq ing with sisters.

I should be able to check in once in awhile while I'm gone. If not, I'll never get caught up. Scans and MO when I get back. The fun starts all over again:)

Oh Zills, it sounds like you are in a spin. I am so sorry you have a sick baby again, but should b on the mend for Monday.

Hot weather is the worst for trying to organize a trip like this, but it is what it is and you'll have a fabulous time when you finally get there. It is the pre holiday anxiety that you have, that makes everything difficult. It's true that you'll do plenty of shopping over there and your husband will manage from the store and take out!

I hope you will be able to check in occasionally, I want to know what you're up to and how the kids are enjoying it! Chat soon...M x

Just wanted to pop in and let everyone know I made it through. I had a bad asthma attack about 4 this morning and then at 5, I was running 101.8 temp. Don't know why.. The drain is doing it's job and I have resigned myself to having a buddy to carry around for a while. Zills, I hate that baby is sick. Hoping she gets better soon Have a safe and fun trip ok? Sending much love and positive energy your way!

Thanks for being in the bag ladies, I definitely felt the love and healing thoughts. Morphine is starting to kick in again and I am having trouble typing.. so it is time to say good night.

Hugz and love to you all

Hey Bobo, I have missed you! How is everything going?

I had lunch with a friend in the next big town today, it was nice to catch up and I did some shopping too.

We are having some pleasant sunshine in the afternoons with perishing cold overnight. I took Dex for a big walk this morning, there are a lot of tourists around, because it is school holidays again.

I hope everyone is well, gB hasn't been here in a while, gramwe, hasn't given us a baby update either, I hope they are all OK, ldesim, I hope you're working in the garden! M x
