Morning all! Glennie, I forgot to answer you about that cleanser, it is Amoena gentle cleanser  I use on the Forms, but only because I was given a bottle by the fitter and a small bottle came in the cleaning kit with my Contact. Any hand wash or gentle cleanser will do.

I am just about to get ready to go to my appointment, I am not so confident this time, I still haven't shaken this pain and it is getting tedious.

JS, have a lovely time at the party!

    Hugs to everyone else...M x

Thanks!  I'll look for a baby wash, I think, That should be gentle enough.

I hope you get some good answers from the doctor.

M~ thanks for all the postive energy and I hope you get good news from the doctor. Thanks to those who are following me on caring bridge. You have all become my sisters these last few months and I truly mean that. Today has been a good day. Changed my pain med from oxycodone to hydrocodone and that seems to have helped. I am not a fan of the oxy at all. It makes me just feel bleh... I had gotten to where I cut them in half just so it wasn't so bad. I also started my B- Vitamins back today along with my multi-vitamin so that could be part of it. I am excited to go to the doctor tomorrow and find out what he has to say. I am nervous too, but that is just to be expected.

I woke up at 3:30 am with a bad dream/panic attack and didn't go back to sleep until nearly 5 am. I finally came out to the recliner (Sailman had fallen asleep on the couch) just so I wouldn't feel alone and within minutes I was back to sleep. Must have just needed his presence to calm my heart. Funny, he usually makes it flutter.. LOL. Got back up at 6 am and got him and JB off to work and did the grocery shopping with my MD. Fell back asleep from 8-10 am and once I woke up, I just felt better. My mood had lifted, I had energy and overall just determined to have a good day. Got to spend time with my Dad and he took me and MD  shopping and to lunch. Just the simple things that make you smile :). It was so cute... my MD got two straws and put in their cup since they were sharing a drink. Then at Hobby Lobby, they passed a sign that said "kiss the cook". Daddy read it out loud and then leaned over and kissed Mama.  They were acting like two teenagers. 46 years together and still so much in love. Well, better run, love and hugz to all!

In the bag M. Will have McVitties and small children. Will leave a trail of sweet wrappers, clementine peels and sand. Maybe the bag shouldn't coordinate with your outfit this time:)

It's very green here. The hedges are rampant with wild blackberry vines, hedge roses and stinging nettles. You can't put your arm out the window.

They say the grass is long when you can see the daisies or buttercups blooms. It's still very short and reminds me of a golf course.

I love the fuscia plants. We only get them in hanging baskets at home. The dandelions have tall stems, not short like ours.

My sil planted pumpkins. They are going crazy. Just by my feet were three pumpkins and twelve blossoms.

It's unreal. I wonder if any of mine have survived my absence, the weather and the slugs.

Hi to everyone, I am back home after a week of vacation. Had a good time and the wedding on Flat Head Lake was something else.! the ceremony was on the beach just by the lake and after everything was all done, reception etc, the bride and groom took off in their speed boat! so fun. I am very glad to be home again too. The garden is producing like crazy, green and yellow beans, peas, cukes, lettuce, spinach, swiss chard.. and the peaches are in and ready to be canned.. why do I do all this??? Crazy??

Friend Marilyn had her surgery today, I talked to her husband and he said all went well. It is predicted to be a stage 1 and no node involved.. great news. Havent heard about the grade or if it is hormone postitive. She will spend the night in hospital and then be released.

Ariom, hope your appt went well. hope the pain is gone. JS, glad you are feeling a little better, you have been thru so much in a short time. Glad you feel safe and secure with your hubby. so sweet.

Zills, fuschias are wonderful, I have a hanging basket but do they grow wild there?? if so take lots of pics.. Glad you are having a good time.

GB, sorry it didnt work out to meet, that would have been so great. Love your pretty area, but have to admit I do not like driving or riding in mountains.. we were up by Glacier Nat. Park, that was a tough ride for me.. I do not like heights and looking off some of those cliffs was too much for me, glad to see our flat land again! But cherries grow there and we bought a bunch of them.. yum! I guess only around the Flat Head Lake area, mountains are beautiful but only in a distance for me anyway.

    Good night all.

Hope you went ok today M.  I am eating Zills Mcvities in the bag, that reminds me I have some Hobnobs in my cupboard, must check to see if anyone else has found them yet.

Zills, glad you are having a good time, questions for you, you don't have soft serve at home?  And what are the Irish beaches like?  Oh, and you are nearly due to deliver your air fryer review.  Xx

ND, glad you had a nice vacation, Flat Head Lake sounds interesting, I am picturing either loads of flathead fish, or people with the tops of the heads chopped off lol!  Must go and google it.  Glad Marilyn is through the other side of surgery, she is lucky to have you to lean on.

Jsj, howdy!  How cute you got up in the middle of the night to be with sailman!  We are convinced here, that he is a keeper.  Will look up your caring bridge page, it that something you have had for a while?

Wren those kitten were so cute, thanks for the pic, is goldie happy to be the centre of cat attention again?

A question for you Yankee girls, firstly, can I say Yankee like that?  Or is that a no-no?  What I need to know is about grits and biscuits, a short explanation please.  M may be able to help also, biscuits are like our scones?  And I have no idea what grits are, only that you can possibly eat them for breakfast, and main meals?

    Dawn. Xxxx :)

ND glad you had such a great week. The lake sounds heavenly at this point!

Dawny~ I am a Southern Girl but I can answer part of your questions. I don't eat grits... that is a Deep South thing, but they are like a porridge of sorts. Biscuits are a quick bread guessing they would be like scones, but not really sure what scones are?? LOL.. Thank you for checking out my caring bridge page. I just started it a few weeks ago. You are right.. Sailman is definitely a keeper. Just looking over at him right now makes me smile. Funny thing? We could NOT stand each other in high school. It wasn't until we had graduated and met up again that the sparks flew! We literally dated Fri-Mon and on Monday he asked me to marry him. That was 25 years ago... who would have thought??? LOL

M~ I was hoping to hear how your appointment went before I went to bed,but alas, it is not meant to be. I will check in on you when I wake up during the middle of the night.

Sisters be blessed and know you are loved,

    Stacey

    Lots of activity tonight!

Dawny- Yankees are people from the northern United States according to my very southern husband! I am originally from New York, but have lived in Virginia for the past 32 years and am the family's "token Yankee".  Lol.  (They do mean it in jest!). Biscuits and grits are a part of a southern breakfast, but can be eaten at other meals as well.  Grits  are made from corn, like the seed.  They are eaten like a porridge.  People put butter and various flavoring in them.  I have also seen them served like white rice with shrimp.  I do not eat them.  Southern biscuits are yummy!  Not like a yummy scone at all. Different texture and taste. They can be eaten at any meal, but especially at breakfast as "biscuits and gravy" which are opened biscuits with sausage gravy poured over them.  This is eaten with a fork.  I don't make southern biscuits, I leave that to the professionals-those born and raised in the south!

    Hi to Diva77!

Wren-are things quiet at night now?  I am sure you don't miss the lack of sleep, but do you miss the little ones?  How is our mascot doing?

M-  hope your appt. went well and that you are getting some pain relief!  F'ing arthritis!  Seems like the smallest changes can cause a flare.  I do hope it is passing quickly!

Hi Zills- you sound like you have totally meshed with Ireland!  I am so glad to hear all is going so well. Have fun when hubby arrives!  I am so happy for your wonderful holiday!  I am sure your garden back home is fine. The weather has been up and down so the plants should be happy!  Can't wait to see the pics!

Welcome home ND.  Glad your garden did well in your absence!  You sound refreshed!  Happy to hear that Marilyn is doing okay.  Praying for the best for her!

Jsj- so wonderful to hear that you had such a good day, however you must be exhausted!  Keep smiling and posting.  I loved hearing about your folks.  So sweet!

Well, I turned 59 today.  Pretty quiet day, but we did go out for an early supper.  Nothing fancy, but it tasted good.  I always get so introspective on my birthday.  In keeping with an attitude of gratitude, I am so much further along than last year at this time!  I thank you all for being on this journey with me.  I appreciate your words of wisdom and experience, kindness and concern, and everlasting support no matter what.  Here's to the next 365 days!  May we all have love, laughter, and joy!  Sweet Dreams, Susan

dawny:  people from the Southern part of the US can get very offended if you call them a "Yankee"!  A British friend did that to another friend of mine and there were fireworks!  LOL!

I don't personally like grits either. They are ground up bits of corn made into a porridge. Now I've had them made with lots of cheese in them and they are tolerable that way. But plain,, ugh, no. Most people I know, just have them for breakfast, but now I'm seeing places serve shrimp and grits, or something similiar for lunch/dinner.

Biscuits are a doughy round bread. Quite yummy, especially hot out of the oven. Cut it down the middle and put some butter in there and let it melt.  Then maybe add some jam or honey. Good stuff. And it's a common breakfast dish to serve them with gravy on top too. The biscuit itself is not sweet, and I think scones are a little sweet, right?

Biscuit sandwiches for breakfast with egg and bacon or sausage is quite popular in the South at fast food restaurants too.

Happy Birthday Susan!!!   I would put a piece of cake on here for you, but I'm on my work computer and it just won't let me!!

Thanks Glennie!  You don't care for grits either?  I think we should send Dawny a "care package" with quick cook grits and some southern biscuits.  BTW-You did a much better explanation of biscuits than I! Lol

Dawny, Grits are very similar to polenta. They come in both white and yellow although white seems to be more common. I love them and especially with shrimp (shrimp is boiled in spices, then green onion is sprinkled over). I think biscuits and scones are very similar except that scones are sweet and biscuits aren't. I don't eat either very often due to high fat content.

Happy birthday sgc. Keep celebrating. One day is not enough.

M, hope your appt went ok.

Goldie is very happy to be the only cat again. They have another cat at the shelter named Idi who looks very similar. I think people would think they were litter mates if they saw them together. He's pretty sweet too and a little cross-eyed.

Jsj, I think it's sweet that Sailman is so comforting. Very similar to my DH. I thought we got engaged fast, but you beat us by 2 days. We met on Wed and he asked me to marry him on Mon. It will be 55 years this Dec.

Thanks everyone, I think I have it sorted now!   Glennie, did I just offend a few million people?  If so, I apologise.  Don't tell your friend.  My auntie has lived in Philadelphia for most of her life, and my dad calls her a "Yankee", she calls him all sorts of names back,

Happy birthday Sgc!  I agree with Wren, one day is not enough celebration.  Are you eating chocolate?

Ooh, a cross eyed goldie look alike.

Hello everyone, just got home, can't believe how much posting has gone on since I left, good to see everyone and Happy Birthday to you sgc, I hope it is a great one!

Thanks to everyone who was in the bag and Zills you know I love those McVitties!

The surgeon wasn't much interested in the soft tissue injury, he just told me to have a massage and to take some anti inflammatories, and that it will settle. The Mx incision and the Dog Ear incision are both fine, next Mammo is booked for September.

I had found a weird little movable lump in the center of my chest, under my incision line, while I have been incessantly massaging this sore rib thing. I hadn't mentioned it, because I thought it would be nothing, but he wants an ultrasound and a FNA done ASAP.

He says he doesn't think it is going to be anything, it is smooth, round and movable, but it needs to be investigated. The receptionist faxed the order through to the Hospital, in the next big town to us and they rang me while we were driving home. They said they couldn't do it for 2 weeks, I must have sounded so disappointed, they rang back again before we made it home, to say they squeezed me in next Monday. So not too long to wait this time. Arrgggggh

I am loving the love stories Wren and JS! Poor Colin copped a blast from me today, I can be an awful bitch when stressed and poor Colin couldn't seem to say anything right! I have apologized now, he doesn't hold a grudge!LOL

Welcome home ndgirl, the wedding sounds lovely, we see brides in speedboats here occasionally too, before their reception in the restaurants on the water.

Hi Diva, Dawny, Wren, Glennie, sorry if I have missed anyone. Big hugs..M x

Happy Birthday SGC! Hope it was wonderful!

I am a Yankee girl and it doesn't offend me of course, but it is the Canadians that call us that! All in jest too!  I have never tried grits but while we visited the south they didn't look appealing to me,but to each their own, love the biscuits with or without the gravy but yep, a lot of calories for sure.

I was wondering about Wren missing her baby kitties too. 55 years is great! Love these stories about quick engagements with happy outcomes, the world needs more of them. JS too, thanks for the CB site I signed it and will follow you there too, those sites are such a good thing for everyone,

Ariom, glad you can get things checked out sooner, it is awful to have things hanging over us, I can be the same grouchy, bitchy way too. I have always understood that when lumps are movable that is a good sign, hoping for the best for you.

    Hi Diva!

Wren. How blessed to have 55 years with the love of your life!!!

Welcome home ndgirl's.  Sounds like you had a great holiday!!!

Ariom.  Will be in the bag with you on Monday!  On Monday I have to have a colonoscopy :-/. So we will do this together!!!

Welcome here diva you found a good place!!  Do I understand from your info that you are having a left mastectomy in August?  I had the same June 6. Let me know if you have questions!

    Sgc. Happy happy birthday!!!!

Well I will tell you what I know!  I am a Yankee who married a southern gentleman 10 short years ago.  Early on I noticed they called us Yankees. And so I asked him what do northerners call southerners?  He said "Mister". I laughed and married him 5 months later.  I moved then to the Deep South.  Grits are ok I like cream of wheat better!  Biscuits are wonderful bread that is flaky when pulled apart!  Slap some butter on it and oh yummy. Add some sausage and drink sweet tea and YUMMY!!!  Corn bread is not to be sweet and collards are totally wonderful!!!!

Well the doorbell just rung so running to go see if my fake boob has arrived!

    More later ,

Beware, this is a bitch session. Background: last month we had 23 ft of sewer pipe replaced at great $$. This past Saturday was my book club meeting at my house for breakfast. I scrubbed the kitchen, bathroom, hall and livingroom. The night before we noticed the kitchen drain was not working correctly, so I did the camping routine of catching all water in the dishpan to discard elsewhere. DH said he thought he might have to attack the drain from under the kitchen sink because he couldn't get it unplugged from the basement. After book club I went out with my friend for the afternoon. I returned home to find DH under the kitchen sink, all the stuff from under the sink arrayed around the kitchen floor and the white floor covered with muddy stuff. It is now Tuesday and the plumber is supposed to come at 10:00 to take a look. Yesterday's laundry didn't get done and the kitchen is still a disaster. The only bright note is that the toilet and bathtub are functional. If I had to pick only one I would keep the toilet/bathtub.

I'm off to see an orthopedist about my ankle tendonitis. It's somewhat ironic because my back has hurt for 2 years and I can't get anyone to take a look. And my neck has a muscle spasm. My ankle is actually the least painful part of my entire body.

Poor wren. Glad he waited until you left. Plumbing issues are never fun. Hope the ankle doc did some good. Please share your shrimp and grits recipe.

I love garlic cheese grits. Don't care for them plain. Love biscuits and make drop scones with currants. I like my cornbread sweet. Never had collards. Making me hungry. Been craving biscuits. The ham here is wonderful.

Shop out of all McVitties digestives except all chocolate. Not a fan so got hobnobs. Have tried all flavors but prefer milk chocolate. Used to love the dark before chemo and/or tamox.

    M. So sorry about the lump. Didn't realize it. I always pick a fight with DH before my scans. Mine coming up soon.

Zoo was kinda small but well laid out. Animals could get away from visitors either in or out. Lots of landscaping. Saw giant thistles and something that looks like a giant fire cracker. Did see the baby elephant and giraffe.

Boy gone to sleepover next door. Baby only took a 20 min nap. She's not quite asleep yet. I'm in bed and borrowed a book. Not sure how far I'll get.

Happy birthday SGC. Chocolate a must.

    Welcome diva.

Only done chips and sausages in air fryer. Very impressive with little clean up. FIL doing most of cooking. Makes a mean salmon in a cast iron skillet.

    Nighty night.

Wren, I hope your plumbing has been resolved. You reminded me of my Parents when I was a teen. My Dad was under the blocked sink and handed my Mother the bucket full of slimy gunk that came out of the pipe to throw away. Without thinking she threw it straight into the sink, covering my Dad, who was still under there, in the slime! My poor Dad didn't get angry often, but as he tried to get out from under the sink he banged his head, Mum and I dissolved into almost pants wetting hysterics. He was as red as a beetroot from anger and all he could say, in the broadest Scots accent "Och! You 2, laughing at others misfortune!"  That just set us off again, I have never forgotten that morning and it is one of Bec's favorite stories about her Grandma and Pa.

I hope you can get that pain resolved too. It just nags on doesn't it!

I am booked in for a massage this morning, for my sore chest and shoulder. It's getting tedious now, if I cough or sneeze it's the pits.

Zills, gad you like the air fryer! I still use mine every day, even if it is just to head bread. The Zoo sounds like it is a well done one. Lots around the world that don't treat the animals well. I wonder if the plant you saw was one that I love called Red Hot Poker. Where I used to live there was a highway that led to an outdoor Zoo/Park and every now and then when you were driving there would be an animal being trucked to the Zoo. I saw a Giraffe in the back of a truck once with a special built timber fence around it, but its head was still visible as it was driven along.

I have settled down and apologized to Colin, he gets it!

02, a colonoscopy, yuck! I hate the prep! Don't mind the actual procedure and there's no down time after it, but tell me not to eat and I will be ravenous the whole time. I will be thinking of you!

Was that your Boob arriving? Let us know what you think of it.

Thanks ndgirl! That's what I heard too, and he said it a couple of times too. I am sure it will be fine, it is just the waiting that gets me. love and hugs M x

    hey y'all

Yes one of the fake boobs arrived and it fits perfectly in this swim suit I had and so I sowed it into the suit and   wahla!  A boob!  Looks ok.  I also got a mast swimsuit. Wish I got a size smaller but it is ok.  Waiting for my Amoena swim boob.  It should fit that.  I really like to swim and so this is important to me.  Glad it worked out!!!   Waiting for some bras to arrive too.  Found another boob place and they just don't let you buy.  She had to take my insurance card so to check with insurance company but I already know they won't pay again. Tried to tell her but rules are rules.  I hate that we just can't shop.  I need what I need and I am going to get what I need.  It is just hard to do.  And finding places is hard.  Like I am a top secret criminal or something. I called trulife to order a boob and they couldn't take my order.  Only distributors can order.  Like really?  But I am the customer.  They didn't care.  Why is this all regulated like this??????

Hello everyone. I hope my sisters are doing well tonight. M~ I am so sorry about the lump. I am in the bag Monday for the tests and will be here if you need. I understand about the bitchiness I do the same to poor Sailman. Our guys are rocks to put up with it though aren't they? I just believe in my heart that all will be ok!

Dawny~ nah... you didn't offend with the Yankee talk... Because technically? Well, we are all north of you so to you we would be Yankees LOL. I am glad you got the biscuits and grits sorted out. It is funny how different regions eat different types of food. We also eat chicken fried steak in the south and you go up north and the Yankee's don't know what you are talking about. But once they've had it, they fall in love. You take a piece of cube steak and cover it with milk/egg combo then dip it in flour. Fry until golden brown on both sides, slather with white cream gravy, throw some mashed taters or french fries with it, along with a piece of Texas Toast (thick cut bread) and you have a dinner from Heaven. Wash it all down with sweet tea to unclog all the arteries. ROFLOL.

Wren~ congrats on the 55 years and so sorry about the plumbing. Plumbing issues are the worst. I am glad Goldie is back to being Diva Kitty. I hope your ankle is ok and that you got some type of resolution from the doctor!

O2~ I will be in the bag for you Monday and on Sunday even as you drink that awful gallon of stuff they give you before hand.

SGC~ I hope you had an amazing and wonderful birthday!

Zills~ glad you are having such a great time and only a few more days until your love is there with you!

ND, Diva and Glennie hope you are having a fabulous day today!

OK, now on to me and my EXCELLENT NEWS!! I went to see the Gyno/Onco today to get my staples out and get my pathology report. He said that he is pretty sure that the only thing I have left are some microscopic little buggers that the chemo will get. He also told us that the cancer has not spread to my lymph nodes! I was so relieved to hear that! The staples came out like butter on a hot knife. The little intern who took them out was very gentle and didn't hurt me but once or twice and with 50+ staples that was pretty good. Sailman, JB and I go to chemo class in the morning and then meet with the nurse to sign all my paperwork and to ask any questions. We begin chemo on 8/12/14 and I am ready to rock this bitch with positive energy and make baldness a fashion statement :).

Thank you all again for your positive love and energy that I feel oozing from all of your posts. I love you my sisters and hope you are blessed.

    Stacey

PS thanks to all who are following me on my caring bridge website. :)

sgc:  I'm not fond of grits either. A care package is a good idea. What say you, Dawny?  you want to try some?  Will it get back Aussie customs??

and dawny:  no Worries! No telling anyone about the Yankee comment. My friend thinks because I'm from South FL (Miami) that I'm not a "real" Southerner anyway!

O2,,, use MetroMedical to order trulife Foob.  That's where I got mine. Good prices too.

Two weeks to Daytona,,, can't wait to try out my mastecomy bathing suit and my foob poofie. I'll have to get my brother to take a piccie of me.  And then figure out how to get it on here !  LOL!!

    Hi All,

    Great news jsj!  Woot Woot!!

OvercomingOne, Yes, I am having left breast MX on August 7. I had my pre-op appointment today so I am ready...well at least physically! I am counting the days -  looking forward to getting answers on if it is in lymph nodes and what the next steps are. For me having a plan is better...control issues : )

I have been gathering a lot of good information from here. My next job is to tackle the insurance and what they cover for bras and boobs.

Thank you to everyone for the warm welcome!

    Wishing everyone a great night/day!

    ((hugs))
