Oh, what fun next-door drama!! Should be an interesting ride back. I made that drive once and it was quite the adventure! Fortunately my boyfriend was handy with engines and such, cuz we had some interesting break-downs. I wouldn't want to do that drive alone either. Its way too far between gas stations and help. And who knows how the cell phone coverage is? Back in 1987, when we did it, cell phones were not even dreamed of!Happy to send you some warm weather. ND girl, so sorry about your back. Would massage help? I swear, I am so lucky I have found this massage through the hospital. It is really healing some of my extremely stiff areas. I just had a massage today, in fact, and I feel so much better. It's really making my situation a little more bearable. Andrea, your family is so sweet!

Z, have I said this on the thread already, or just in my mind? I think you should go to the shelter yourself, and pick out a special sweetie just for you. They will tell you which ones are good with kids. How is Firebob doing?
Please note: I don't have any Perricone either. The drug dealers over at Sephora gave me deluxe samples. But I must say, they really worked. And I did get the no foundation foundation. I don't like foundation, I never wear it, but I had to have something.

Morning all! Firstly I have to say, I investigated sending makeup to all of you, but the bloody postage was extortionate from here!
ndgirl, I am a big believer in PT for those kinds of problems, or even a remedial massage therapist. I know some go to Chiropractors, but I was badly injured by one and shiver at the thought of anyone going to them.
Glennie, what a great story, could be a TV show, the things that go on next door! bahahah I googled the Bistro too, I google lots of stuff that you girls talk about.

Bobo, another pre op for you, gosh they come around fast. I had my massage yesterday too. She gives me an extra half hour because I am the last appointment so 1 1/2 hours of bliss!
I have a meeting this morning to write a piece for the paper, for a Breast Cancer Network magazine and to organize what we are doing at the Expo on Sunday!

Just a lazy day of healing for me . This stomach surg seams a lot more sore than the breast removal. But all is good. Glennie I keep rebruising. Turns yellow then back to black an blue. Dern puppies have to be all over mama! I love every minute of it.
We are back to summer weather. 84 today . I was really hoping it would stay cold. Oh well. Winter will be here soon enough.
I too hot flash at night. I keep the temp cold in my house. On and off with the covers.
What a sweet idea Ariom about the surprise package from you. That was so thoughtful. That is why I love this blog or whatever it is called. I wish we could have a chat room where we could all meet and chat!!
Maybe arrange a get together some day. If you do count me in.

Glennie and 02. You had major surgery even if there aren't big scars and drains like mx. Be gentle to yourself. Enjoy each day as it comes. Listen to your body. Why do we women think we are superman?
I too had a long list of things I wanted to accomplish while off. I have yet to meet anyone who did. Most of it's not even strenuous.
Relax, nap, eat whatever sounds good, take a walk, read a book, watch stupid tv, play games. It's all part of the healing process. If you do too much, it will take longer AND you may catch some nasty virus. It is flu season.

I'm done for today. I had to run out and fax some paperwork to my medical leave people. I mailed it 2 weeks ago, but they said they never got it. Then I went over to the hospital cuz today was the day for flu shots for the employees, so I got mine. Vitamin World for more protein powder, library and then finally had lunch with a friend. So I'm officially pooped and doing nothing for the rest of the day. And the heat is back!!! 89 today. So wonderful with wearing compression and having hot flashes, Wheeeee!!!You are right Z,,, we do think we are Superwomen. I'm single and I hate bugging my friends/neighbors to do stuff for me. They are happy to do it,, but still. I'm just very independent that way.

Hate compression garments so much. Last time it was August, and I was roasting hot. This time, hopefully, less hot, but with longer compression garment.

I took DD and her friend to see The Maze Runner. Her friend loved it, my daughter was shook up from all the violence. Her words "I've been scarred for life!". lol I don't really like those kind of movies, so I can't give an honest opinion about it...however, I highly recommend "The Hundred Foot Journey". It's about a family from India who moves to France and opens a restaurant across from an elite French restaurant. Beautiful, beautiful scenery... and a drama / comedy that was really enjoyable. And the kid that plays the son who is the great cook is gorgeous.
I need some lottery tickets for sure. It just gets harder and harder to get up every morning and go to work. I'm thinking about taking the afternoon off actually. Between work, volleyball, helping with homework, and all the crap in-between, I am really struggling to stay afloat. An afternoon to get the house in order and then a nice little nap sounds wonderful.

I liked the 100 Foot Journey too. That was a good movie.I don't generally like violent movies. This one was ok,, cuz it was sci-fi,,, and in my mind, it's make-believe, not real. Like Star Wars, etc. So my brain can handle those ok,,, as opposed to the realistic violent movies,, things that could happen in real life,, I can't take those,, or supernatural type movies. Like the ads for Annabelle or the Ouija board movie,,, no thanks!!! Way too creepy for me.
There is a new movie coming out this week,, I think it is called The Judge. Has Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr in it. That looks good.

Good Morning all, that's the waterspout thingy I was talking about yesterday! Scary things, I have never seen one in Aus.Sgc, I am having a shitty time too. with the arthritis in my foot, don't know what has started this one off. I have had a fairly good time of remission, but it feels like it is on the move again, bloody nuisance. I sure don't want to have to get into the big gun drugs again. What do you take?

I am just about organized for Sunday's Expo at the Community Center, it is from 10am-2pm, don't know if it will be very busy, bu the big Farmer's Market is on so there will be lots of people around. Then I have another Beauty Day in the next couple of weeks, so that will get the rest of the makeup out of the way and I will be able to get my dressing area back. It has been full of boxes for what seems forever. I keep moving stuff around to get to the cupboards and the all important FoobMoire! I have been wearing the same Foob, way too long, because it is too hard to get to the others! lol
PRB, it sounds like you need a little break, I hope you had your afternoon off and got a nap in!

M: do you get a show called Graham Norton? He does a talk show which is on BBC America here. That man is hysterical!! It is the best talk show around. His guests are so natural with him, and it is always funny. Sometimes it's all British actors/celebs that I'm not familiar with, and it is STILL FUNNY!! Oh, and just found out that Hugh Laurie and George Clooney (two of my faves) will be in a movie together next year called Tomorrowland. May 2015.
