M:  I started with 6 or 7, however, I've been on and off hydrocodone for years for chronice pain, and regularity has been an issue of mine for that long too. So for me to start with 6 or 7 was ok.  Sorry, if TMI.

Bobo:  **concerned**   What can I do?  I am off today. I am at your beck and call.  Or Text!  Lay down, stay down. Your body has been thru a lot.  Are you getting enough fluids?  I can bring soup, veggie juice???

OMG Bobo, I am just shivering thinking of that cat landing on you.. No, that can't happen! I was warned after my sx, no animals or babies around me for at least a week. You are likely in shock and apprehensive about removing bandages, which I wouldn't blame you. I hate your ps too, geez.

M, I was also thinking the same about prunes having never eaten them before and never being constipated, but no eye of the needle for me but will admit to having a lot of gas! Now I can just hear Bobo saying that ndgirl is jet propelled!! At least I hope she is feeling well enough to tease!

M - I was injected with the radioactive stuff too (I imagine we all were), but they never took x-rays to make sure the stuff was moving to the nodes. Blue dye was injected during surgery...neither the dye or radioactive crap made it to the nodes. I believe the way my surgeon put it was "nothing lit up". I suppose in some weird way I'd like to think that if the dye and radioactive fluid didn't make it to the nodes.. then any wayward cancer cells didn't make it out either. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Bobo - omg the cat jumping on you must have freaked you out to the nth degree. Just that rush alone could have caused your symptoms...and don't forget the after-effect of anesthesia. Are you eating? You just gave me a flashback to when I fell on the ice the week after my mx. I was lying there thinking... did this just really happen and am I bleeding internally?

Prunes? I like prunes, but never buy them. I have read about all the goodness of them too, so why I don't incorporate them into my diet..I don't know. lol@eye of the needle comment M! Thanks for that chuckle.

What is it with you QVC nuts and handbags? My QVC addicted sister has a ton of expensive handbags too. Tried to give me one last year and I was like.. um.. no.. too expensive, too big, and I will never use it except for carting my lunch to work. I wonder if there is some personality type that is drawn to shopping channels like QVC. My sister is very much an A type personality. I feel like Bobo and DP might be too. hmmmm.

Brother will be stopping by tonight, house is somewhat presentable, and tree is still not decorated. Maybe he will want to do that since he lives alone and doesn't get to feel the 'joy' of the Christmas season much. Strangely enough, I feel my Christmas stress has been lessened by the real tree. I guess just knowing it won't take all day to decorate it (it's smallish) is a plus. I suppose having most of my shopping done also helps...and oh yeah.. 2 days until a week off! Yea!!!!

    Time for a meeting. Later.

Amen PRB, I don't get the QVC and handbags either... and my handbag is also used primarily to cart my book for the train and my lunch haha.

Bobo, sounds like all the events and just your general anxiety over seeing the area have contributed to your feeling awful. Hopefully you are feeling a bit better now... damn cat.

I miss him too Glennie, I loved watching him, he was hysterical.

Bobo, lie down and stay down! Pleeeeeeze!!!!! Sorry about the cat incident, Like nd, I was warned too, Dex went to the kennel that he loves to go to, not practical for your animals, I know. but how hard is it to keep them out of the bedroom? grrrr! Are you getting enough fluid to get the anesthetic out of you? I hope you're eating something too. I find that ear ringing and weird stuff, is always about the anesthetic, add to that, you're on heavy pain meds too, they'd have to be adding to it. Just take it easy for a while, is that too much to ask? You know you'll be overdoing it, soon enough, so just take a little break....rant and lecture over! I love you Bobo!!!!!

Ahhh, PRB, therein lies the problem! I had to massage for 20 minutes, get a scan, massage for another 20 mins, get a scan, it seemed to go on forever, but it was 2 hours. I was sitting on a bed massaging away, while reading a magazine, when I looked up the whole imaging waiting room, full of people were sitting watching me massage my breast with looking at a magazine Tres...embarrasssment!!!! LOL Anyway this went on for a couple of hours before the tech ran out holding the film, with the node lit up on it, shouting "We've got it!". He high 5'd me and I was off to surgery. There was ;lots of blue stains on me when the bandages came off, the next morning and even the Final Path report said, "tissue was stained deep blue!" The surgeon told me he injected that after I was under.

Awww, Glennie, I am sorry you miss Steve, do you see the shows with his kids over there? Bindi is quite the young woman now and Bob looks to be going the same way as Dad, wrestling crocs.

Oh no ndgirl, not gas from the prunes. That was my issue, as well as pain when I tried to take those bone meds. The Actonel weekly tablet messed with my stomach. I have problems with calcium and magnesium too.

LOL RE: QVC. I have a black Baggelini purse (shoulder bag) and like it so much I bought an identical one so that when it wears lout I don't have to go crazy trying to find another one that I like as much. BORING but that's my style. I'd rather buy books, but that's why they make different flavor a of ice cream. Actually have a friend that rents purses so that every month she has a different one. Something for everyone!

Rents purses???  Seriously?  Never heard of that.

Yeah, I miss Steve.  This was an old show,, where Bindi was born!! And Steve was just so happy and excited with his baby girl. But that was Steve,,, he was always so excited about everything. I miss that excitement about life that he generated.

I have 3 styles. The small one that converts to a belt pack I use as a mini shoulder bag which I keep in backpack when traveling. I have the one that has an asymmetrical shoulder strap which is unstructured. Myfavorite is the traveler one with the magnetic flaps and all the neat pockets. That's the one I bought a back up for the future. All are black. Don't like to carry extra junk but DH is always asking for the dental floss, nail clipper etc. My sister uses the one that is small but slightly larger than my mini so it is taller than wide. Neither of us likes to drag around a suitcase.

I couldn't pick out which one is the traveler on their website. I have the one they call the large wallet, which may be the one you're calling the traveler. I also have the asymmetrical backpack. It doesn't work well for me because the shoulder it's meant to be on is my bad one. They're having a sale.

Hi Wren. checked the website. The mini one I have is the " large wallet" It's nice but I wish it was just a little bigger. It's good for valuables inside another bag like my backpack. My sisters is slightly larger which I might have to go to if carrying a purse is an issue now with my arm. The same side that had the node removal had torn cartilage and shoulder surgery a couple of years ago.

The other shoulder bags I have are discontinued. They are very light weight but streamlined. Nothing like that on website now. The cross strap one is the closest but it has more bulky hardware.

Oh no!! Bobo,That is terrible. Hope the flying cat didn't do any dammage.

Dont over do it. You had major surgery just a few days ago. Your body needs rest to heal....and fewer flying cats!!!

Well, I see our Chloe's mom fits in just fine! She is a purse-a-holic. And... Birdie! Did not know you were a baggalini connoisseur! The truth comes out... :)

I cannot wait to hear what M thinks about all this. And I am sure Idesim will come forward with a coupon of some kind.

Flying cat was kept out of bedroom last night. DLLP slept in front room. They say with this kind of thing that day three is the worst day, and this is day three. I want to be off pain meds, DLLP arguing with me to stay on. I am thinking of doing Motrin every other time. I've got to get on with my life here! I get to shower today. Excited.

Hey Bobo, you're sounding pretty chipper there, are you feeling better or are you still comfortably numb from the meds? Stay on for another day, if this is the bad day, there's plenty of time to get on with your life, just take it easy, for a minute will you! You wear me out, just hinking about all the stuff you do.

I am not familiar with this bag, but that's not to say I couldn't be made interested, I like a good bag! I am so pleased there was not repeat performance by the incredible flying feline.

I posted on the other thread, DP was up for a bit, I have been messing around watching tutorials of those press on nails ldesim was talking about yesterday. I think I may order some, before I go to bed. Catch you later...M x

Hi M! I have cut the meds in half. I must say the same thing I have said before -- pain meds help only to a point with this kind of thing. I can still feel pain. So, eventually, I think, Why not just stop taking them? And, you know, I am going to have to poop eventually...

You are making me laugh with your press-on nails! If I tried to do that to myself I would look ridiculous! I think you and idesim should have a contest. I thought that gel stuff had to be done in a salon, by a qualified technician...

Cannot believe you bought more Marika! Where are you going to put it all? :)

Haha, I am trying to go to bed and you keep posting! I know what you mean about the pain meds, all they ever do, is make me stoned and paranoid, with pain, so I don't take them at all. Had more fights with Doctors about that, than anything else.

I have the gel home kit I do my own, hands and toes, I can even do my own acrylics, but i cant be stuffed any more. I like the look of these press ons and they last a week. They do a really nice pewter gloss.

I have room for a little more Marika! LOL

Bobo:  glad you were not attacked by cat last night. I know you want off pain meds, going to Motrin every other time is good way to wean down, but don't let the pain build up.

You all are such good shoppers.   I now have 2 bad shoulders and really should not carry a purse on either one of them. I need a nice fashionable "belly bag" . I don't usually wear a belt, so it needs to be one that has its own belt.  Any suggestions of where to look? Needs to be big enough to hold wallet, phone, etc, but not look like I'm going on a day hike!

Glennie I've gone to a wristlet. Found I don't need to actually have all that "stuff" with me. It's got a place for my phone, cards and $$. It's worked well for me. I do have some "stuff" in my car, glucose tabs and ibuprofen if needed

Maybe I will use that large wallet bag more now for very day. Let DH get a man purse for his dental floss and nail clipper.

In all honesty I have been saying if have no pain. That isn't to say that the drains don't bite and the seromas pulls. I just hate pain meds so much that I don't allow it to register unless it's over a 6 or 7. Only took something stronger than ibuprofen one time after a botched knee surgery when I had a hematoma in y knee one pill and the room was swimming. I hated it so much. Can never understand why people deliberately do drugs. It's so awful feeling out of control. Just the same I'm glad the stuff is available for the gals that can't get a rest and are struggling with the pain. I insisted that they start IV Tylenol in recovery so that I could stay ahead of any pain

I love it -- you guys are like, Stay down, bobo, stay ahead of the pain with meds, but then you're also like, Well, for me, I don't take pain meds. (!)

Yesterday I yelled at DLLP when she was trying to get me to take (more) pain meds: I said I AM NOT A DRUG ADDICT! :)

I am enjoying the handbag talk.

Glennie, I was having the same bag/shoulder issues and found this at Marshall's. Soooo lightweight (nylon W/leather accents) and has really simplified my life - it's small. Holds wallet (length just fits standard wallet) keys and phone and purell. I like the short handle because I do not like to wear bags on my shoulders due to discomfort. If I need my hands free, I can slide it on left (non-axillary) shoulder and it doesn't whip around just sits tucked in close to my body - so light it's not really uncomfortable there. Maybe you could look for something similar? I did see some ok "fanny packs" in my search for a bag, but mostly just the hiking look... Happy hunting.

I spent $30 at Marshall's - past season? I agree - never pay full price for a bag! Baggallini is cute (I used to carry the baggalini teenee bag before the Marshall's bag - it is tiny, lots of pockets :), but aggravated my shoulder. It fits in coat pockets, though) I have trouble with my back when I wear my waist pack - not fair... Baggallini is washable - threw mine in machine... Hope the waist pack does the trick! Or, that you have complete healing :)

I have a small Eagle Creek bag that has loops for a shoulder strap and a spot in the back for a belt. I have the shoulder strap at a length that will fit around my waist and sometimes wear it that way. If it's on my shoulder, it's under my arm which takes some of the weight. It doesn't look too outdoorsy although I think it came from REI. Travel sites have some good bags and REI and Eddie Bauer have some that can be worn as a purse.

Bobo, I had a cat that slept with me when I had sx. I used a pillow on top when sleeping on my back and a pillow between DH and I in case he decided to elbow me. I'm still using the little pillow you sent.

That same kitty is here with me right now. She's sticking to me like glue and she doesn't usually do that. DLLP says she feels badly about jumping on me so hard.
