Bobo, I'll check out the thread in a little bit.. poor scared girl :(

I have forgotten who I have thanked for cards and not.. so thank you everybody for the cards I've received.. they are all framing the doorway and give me a smile every time I walk past. Today I received cards from Z, Bobo & Wren. Wren did you draw the cardinal??? I am in awe, it is gorgeous. Z & Bobo, you both have such gorgeous children, but Bobo, I was a little disappointed that you and DLLP weren't in yours.. what's up with that????? Absolutely loved yours Z!!!!

Bobo, wtf??? I can't even comprehend this... ouch...

Your coffee beer sounds so good.. I don't really like beer, but love coffee... that might be right up my alley! Let me know how it was.

I'm thinking Andrea's V needs to get over herself!

Idesim, I traced the cardinal. painted with watercolor. I tried drawing it and it looked like Groucho Marx. Not everyone got the same card. Too boring to do them all the same.

Dawny! Hi Betty! **waving** Espresso coffee beer (stout) v. totes amazog. Made by double hillbillies (they are Scots, and then they also live in the Appalachian mountains here). Double hillbilly (vegan and organic) totes amazog beer made out of espresso!

I reply to myself. I can say Scots are hillbillies because I am half Scottish: in fact there is a town named after my name. Am making vegan whipped cream! And gave the kids a tiny amount of choc mousse (it is very dense and it will make them crazy), then am going to put them to bed, plop all that cream on top of what's left of the mousse, and DLLP and I are going to eat it out of the bowl like a pair of obese ladies.

Direct quote from our princess, at the park just now, talking to a ten-year-old girl who is wearing a new backpack. Apparently our princess views her as a rival:

Our darling (in her thick, sounding-like-she's-from-the-Bronx accent): If you're ten years old, then what's a perimeter?

Phonetics: 'If you-wah ten yeahs owed, then wats uh puh-reh-mey-tuh?'

OMG, I love the phonetics! Hillbilly Scots, wait till I tell Bec about this, she is Scot obsessed, insists on me using my accent when I tell her about things, my parents said!

I cannot imagine what espresso beer or stout would taste like. I can't even take the smell of beer around me and anything to drink that's bitter, not sweet, is completely foreign to me.

I do however, love the sound of the chocolate mousse with the vegan whipped cream. I could eat that all day long. I just discovered 2 plumb puddings in the pantry that I forgot about. I made fresh strawberry pavlova with coconut whipped cream for our dessert, so will have to do the puddings this week sometime. M x

Pavlova sounds good. Forgot about it. DH burned the custard for the trifle. He and the boy are the only one who eat it. BG and I had ice cream even though she didn't finish her dinner. Hard to be strict in Christmas.

They hopped beds again early in the night. Both have junky coughs. I want to nap and it's only 7 am.

Have to get out and get Sasafire food. May hit the sales. Depends on the kids. Want new wrapping paper and paper goods for next year. Saw an ice cream cone ornament for BG. Remind her of the potty training bribe.

How does Trixie keep getting dragged into this?? She is behaving herself. Although she is intrigued with liposuction option! Right now she is thinking of competing with Kim Kardashians wine glass photo!!! TMI. Sorry.

Loved all the cards! I think some will be waiting when I return.

Bobo, I feel so guilty enying your fat suctioning when I know how much you have suffered. Also feel bad about wanting a mastectomy so I could get DIEP and flatten my belly. I am a bad person.

Trying to convince my husband that I want to train to be a nipple tattoo artist.

No English trifle for Xmas this year. My mom usually makes it, but at 84 it is getting difficult for her to stand and make things anymore. Time to pass the gauntlet I guess. By the way, I fully intend on packing my parents into suitcases and smuggling them back into the USA....ssshhhhhh, don't tell on me.

OMG, I hadn't seen the Wine Glass photo of KK, have now, now that's a talent isn't it? Not one I would want, but to balance a Champagne glass on your ass, is, well, different.

Oh, yep, I can understand you wanting to take your parents home with you. I miss my Mum and Dad so much, since they are gone, but i did always live close, so I could see them whenever I wanted to.

Z, I made the custard last night for the plum pudding i forgot at Christmas, do you get "Bird's" Custard powder there? It is from the UK and my absolute fave. I make it with soy milk, don't freak out, I still have some soy, not much, but my Doctors say it is fine in moderation. It was a fantastic dessert, Colin could eat custard all day long.

Spookiesmom, Pavlova is a national dish here, it is served all the time and so easy to make, nothing to it. I even cheated and bought the pavlova cases ready made, this time. All I did was fill them with the Coconut whipped cream and the fruit, the one thing that I love, but Bec and Colin won't eat, is the fresh passionfruit, that should go on top.

    Waving to everyone...be back later...M x

    Yes use birds custard. Imported.

Was told no soy milk or protein bars on a daily basis but can't avoid it. It's in everything. I can do cows milk so no soy for me.

Damned if you do (bc) and damned if you don't (brittle bones).

Must remember to put prunes on grocery list.

I was raised on Birds Custard. Couldnt find it in Maryland so I brought some back from Canada last summer.

Pain seems to be manageable presently. Hope Colin is doing ok. I was able to play with my granddaughter and tidy up kitchen. My daughter worked nights last night (and again tonight). Taking cooked turkey breast and the fixings to my parents house tomorrow. ...then everyone has had a turkey dinner here this year.

speaking of damned if you do and damned if you don't, did y'all see the post about peanuts causing bc to spread? I didn't read the article yet but geez. I was tryin to way as much peanut butter as I could for protein. Feels like we should all be in bubbles.

Don't have PB in house because of allergies. But how about organic PB? I have read that peanuts are among the most toxic foods because of the particular pesticides they spray on them.

Andrea, so glad you've turned the corner! Have fun in the snow! Can't believe I said that, I hate the snow. LOL

I really like peanut butter too, especially in satay!

    Yay for birds custard!

yay for Andrea, speaking of playing in the snow we got about 5 inches last night and kids and dogs were so delighted! Such fun! Sorry Ariom, but kids have a blast in the snow or at least we northerners do! Kids off to ski slopes and we are on way home, had a great time. No snow in ND yet, have a small amount closer to home I hear.

So now pb causes bc, well why not everything else does... I could live without it too but do eat it occasionally.

    Hi all!

Hi ndgirl, I know I am in the minority in my dislike for snow. I think it is kind of phobic. I can't stand the squeak it makes when you walk in it, just like nails on a blackboard is for some people. I do love to see th ekids having a great time though.

Isn't that the truth, everything causes BC, I am sick of being warned off stuff. I am going with my surgeon's suggestion of anything in moderation!

Nope, I HATE SNOW TOO!!! I hate the cold, grey, gloomy, days. I hate what it does to my car. I hate sweeping pee paths for the dog. I hate bundling up so much I can't walk. I hate having a fire going, the thermostat on 80 and still being cold

I have never heard of this before-a half male and half female Cardinal!

    Is this really true, Birdie?

Thank you all for making my Christmas so special- each card I received was given a place of honor! I feel as though I know each of you just a bit more. Thank you for sharing your families, your talents, and yourselves with me this Christmas! Susa

I don't like being cold.  My last dog LOVED the snow.  He would get all frisky and run around like a puppy.
