My recliner is here!!  It is soooo comfy!! I pulled something in my left arm/shoulder moving things yesterday and didn't sleep well last night. I think it is time to test it out for a nap!!

bobo, good to hear from you.  How exhausted you must be!

I will gladly add you to the Reiki Healing bowl.  I did an individual healing for everyone I have already added, so will add you and the princess tonight, pm me your location, city, state (or someone else that knows it please let me know so I can add her tonight).  Once that is done, I will do a group healing with all of you together in the bowl. Don't worry bobo, there is plenty of Reiki energy for everyone!!

A question about the A&A bracelets, can I wear it in the shower?  I can't seem to find anywhere exactly what the metal content is and I don't want to ruin it.  I tend to wear my bracelets all of the time.  Some one on Amazon says hers got black spots from wearing in the shower.  Plus I worry about opening and closing it so often.

I'm not a Keurig fan either, I love the smell of brewing coffee.  I still use my old Melita cone filter.  Makes 2 cups at a time, just right for me.

Moira.. BACK AWAY from the computer!! What are you ladies thinking, she has no willpower, do NOT tell her about sales!

GrammaB, no you cannot wear in the shower.. they say that there is a coating, but they do tarnish if not taken care of.   Therefor, you cannot jingle and jangle while showering.  They are recycled materials.  I know, it's a pain.. when I wear stuff I always wear them too.

Give us a report of how your recliner nap goes.

    Page change, posting.

Hi Zills, you nailed it, but I saw it first! LOL

Hope you are feeling better, and your Corn Dogs turn out well!

Get some rest if you can Zills, I hope the throat is from the chemo and not a cold.

    Take care...M x

Ariom!  We're posting at the same time!  I love it when that happens.

Will pm you, GrammaB!  Many thanks for including our baby.

Just checked out the Nordstrom sale... too pricey for me.  eileenfisher.com has much more reasonable prices!  And they have a coupon: 531800, which is $25 off a purchase of 50 or more.  Many is the time I have purchased a scarf marked down to $50, found an online coupon for $25... and I usually wait until Eileen announces free shipping.  That doesn't come along very often, though.

Unpacked all day, with the kids, feeding them constantly, and did a billion loads of laundry, then taught for 2.5 hours.  Now working on script for new job.  ***giant sigh***  What is on the coffee table?

Bobogirl, I missed you!!! I wouldn't call March Spring, but airfare will be much easier on your pocketbook.

Kin is fine, he was just rolling around on his back outside the back door and making noises... looking for his dinner.  Now that its cooler, he's back sleeping in the house that Joe built.  Spoiled brat.

Don't tell me you are still on the watermelon diet.

GrammaB, your views sound gorgeous, that was a good idea setting it up by the window, I bet the mountain views are so relaxing.

Zills, I love orange.. all kinds of orange, not as crazy about the pink.

Pasta has just arrived at the coffee table. Laters!!!

I have to confess, I snuck over for a look, but too pricey for me, I am more of a Clearance Shopper! and their postage is OTT.

I am going to be dressed in yoga clothes for a long time, I am afraid!

grammaB so sorry to hear you are still a bit sore, but thrilled that you're likeing the recliner. I have trouble getting out of mine. It is part of a sectional, so I rarely use it.

Very grateful for the healing! Thanks so much for that. If Bobo hasn't sent you a Pm, let me know and I'll give you the location. Can't forget Bobo and the Princess!

You're not wrong about the extension to the wardrobe!

Take care and please rest as much as you can. You need to be feeling great before surgery. I had a broken toe when I had my surgery, and it was real pain in the ass. It definitely gave me more grief than the Mx.

    Look after you grammaB!

    Hey Bobo!

I love it when we are posting at the same time too!

I am so relieved to hear that you are there, at the little house. I know it is a pain to look at those boxes, but just do a few at a time, it will be all done soon.

I have to get into looking for these coupons you talk about. We don't have them, so I am not used to them.

Change of plan for wedding, that's ok, gives me more time for clothes shopping! Thought I had found something, but pulled out the tape measure, and too small! Yikes, no the great range of the city I am afraid, but I am up for the challenge! I do need to know if there is another change and snow is forecast!

    Posting and catching up!

ldesim! I couldn't help it, I had to have a look at it, but you're right, so right!

Pasta for dinner, that's what we've had a couple of nights this week. I love Italian food, and have been making really yum Pizzas with fresh veg and mushrooms.

Did you get over the sore throat?

I meant to say the same thing to grammaB. Setting the reckliner up looking at the view is the way to go. It sounds just beautiful, looking at the mountains. It's food for the soul! and helps you heal!

We missed you too! It was quiet around here without you! LOL

I was worried that you'd burn out, but you sound tired but fine! You've got a busy time with work and the chidren now. I hope you are making some green smoothies in the Vitamix.

Waiting for the VS story, and to find out if you managed to fit everything in to the tiny house.

Thanks bobo, got your info, will included the two of you this evening.  Something told me to wait a while before doing the group healing, a little voice said bobo will want this too. :)

You will find the perfect time for your wedding be it Fall, Winter, or Spring.  What's important is the people that are there with you to share it, not the time of the year.

I moved, by myself, from CA to MT 9 years ago and still have a bunch of boxes in the garage that I never opened!  If I haven't used them in all this time, it is time for me to have a garage sale!  Not this year though.

bobo, is that EF code you posted (531800) a valid one for now?  Where do you find them?

OK, got it with the bracelet.  No more showers for it! :D

Airom, I didn't even realize I had hurt my arm until later in the evening when I couldn't reach up.  I switched end tables from the library to the living room and I really had no business lifting them!!  Oh well, it is better today at least.  And it appears I haven't done anything to my back.  That is the last of the big stuff before surgery.

The beauty of my recliner is that when upright it is also a rocker.  That makes getting out of it much easier, just rock forward.  The runner up actually would lift you up to almost a standing position to get out.  But that was way more than I wanted plus the color su©ked!

I do have some pretty nice views here.  I am not a city girl so picked a very quiet spot here in MT.  There are only 4 homes on our dirt road and no one can subdivide so it will stay quiet.  I have a seasonal creek that fills a little pond running through my 1.2 acres and the back side has an irrigation ditch that runs in the summer and makes a great home for all sorts of ducks.

On the coffee table tonight is one of the bowls of chili I had frozen for after surgery.  I just didn't feel like cooking tonight.

    Hugs!

I just hope the bathroom essay has been hung, we don't want the little prince having a relapse.

Moira, I had a feeling it was too late lol.  How are you feeling now that the ladies and your lovely Bec have gone back home?

GB, your house sounds lovely and you deserve a rest after the day you've put in, kick your feet up, watch some tv and rock away :)  My GF has a recliner that puts you on your feet, that thing is ridiculous lol!!   I have a rocker recliner.. I rock more than I recline.. love the rocking feature.

She probably gets emails with the codes in them.. but a good site for codes is retailmenot.com, I've spent as long as 1/2 hour trying all different types of codes at some sites just to get a discount.. it's almost as if I cannot buy anything on the internet without getting some sort of discount... and free shipping, has to have free shipping.

I say the same thing of the crap in my basement.. I haven't used it in 2 years, I don't need it... get rid of it.

CA to MT? That's quite the change!!

Pizzas are so much fun to make and you can clean the fridge out too.. I don't know why I don't make them more. I nice wheat based crust too would make them healthier.  I like to just make a big rectangle one from a cookie sheet.

ldesim, you never fail to crack me up! You are more Aussie than me!

I watch everything American, rarely anything from here. The only time I have ever seen Big Brother was when I was in a Hospital waiting room! LOL

I have a lot of trouble buying anything at full price. I just hate it when I buy something and I haven't worn it yet, and I see it on "Sale".

I buy the Italian Toscana part baked pizza bases, I am not that interested that I would make the base from scratch!LOL I just like making new combinations.

I am off into Bairnsdale now to Aldi, they have a new catalogue every week with yum specials. This week it is everything Asian, so Colin has checked almost every item in the catalogue for me to buy. Must run or I will miss out.

    Back a little later....M x

Well, I have spet about two hours redoing my pantry to accomodate  all the stuff Colin wanted. I can see myself cooking curry and lots of noodle dishes in my yoga gear for a very long time!

I am exhausted, been running all over town for hours today. It was really warm when I left, but freezing as the day wore on, so the heating is on "Boost" right now.

Colin is at a meeting for the model boat club and is having dinner in town afterward, so I can eat when I feel like it.

I meant to answer you, ldesim. I miss everyone being here, but I love the quiet too!

I hope you all have a wonderful restful sleep, and I will catch you all tomorrow..... M x

Curries and noodle dishes!  That sounds yummy.  You will have to give us your curry recipe, Ariom!

GB, many thanks for including us both.  You are so kind to think of holding off for me!  Excited about your new recliner.  I've never had one of those.  If I did have one, the children would 'ride' it until it was broken, I am sure of it.  God forbid it have any sort of switch or control, manual or otherwise: they would work that switch until the poor chair begged for mercy.  I am sure Z can back me up on this.

Well, it's morning in the tiny house.  DLLP has just gone to work -- we share a car, she has taken it, and she's going to drive home at early lunch and we'll 'switch' so I can do errands with the children.  Miraculously, they are still asleep.  So I have a complete minute to write and catch up.  They love the tiny house: they said so about twenty times yesterday.  Yesterday I spent something like eight hours unpacking, while child-rearing, setting up activities, and making multiple meals and snacks.  Then at 1:30, I taught a class from home while the kids had a 'work party' in my office.  They set up their 'work,' and they work silently right along with me, for the most part.  There is some stage whispering.  I never thought I'd be able to manage that.  It's very difficult to teach while they are in the room.  But my back is against the wall -- I have minimal babysitting help.  In fact, we have just moved across town from our babysitter, he does not have a car!  One more of these classes to go, and I will be done.  Looking forward to starting the new job, but there will be a harrowing two weeks in which the kids are not in school, yet I must be at the university, and I do not have childcare lined up yet.  I have never been this 'under the gun' before regarding childcare.

However, next week is... feminist rock and roll camp for our princess!  DS will go to an art camp nearby.  So I have a whole week of some childcare.  I have long been anticipating feminist rock and roll camp.  Ages 8 to 17.  I lied about her age -- she is 8 in early Spring.  I will play the bc card if I am caught.  They divide the girls up into bands.  No previous instrument experience necessary.  Each gets an instrument -- keyboard, drums, guitar, or bass -- or vocals -- and they school them in feminist rock history.  Each day, a different all-woman band plays for them at lunch, and there is Q and A.  There is instrument instruction.  Songwriting.  And seminars -- there is one on canning food for 'the road' when you are touring!  And then, at the end of the week, everyone goes to a pub at 5 p.m. and each band plays its original song!  I am incredibly excited.

I want to be at the feminist rock camp all day, obviously.  But I have to go to work.  I'm going to sneak in as much time as I can. Hopefully our princess will not cling to me -- I will not be able to take her with me to the college.  Hopefully she will love it as much as I already love it.  I am thinking of arranging a little lunch for the teachers each day -- they are all volunteer rock and rollers -- and I am thinking of homemade bread, maybe a spread like humuus or some olives, some chocolate.  I was also thinking of doing a stew I could bring over in the crock pot.  I just want to give something back. I am not sure if I can manage cooking and setting up for fifteen everyday, though, and dropping off the kids at different camps, and then going to work.  I must try to keep it simple.

GB, what idesim does with the coupons is just right.  retailmenot.com.  She is right -- Eileen sends me an email with a coupon code in it when she has a sale.  But if she doesn't, I go to that site.  Please note:  Eileen is stingy with the coupons, and she rarely has free shipping.  When she has a little sale, with free shipping, and they have the camis I like on sale, you have to pounce.  No matter if you hadn't planned on a shop that week.  Ariom, they call those camis 'underpinnings.'  I love the system of getting dressed, it is so comfortable.  I must say, I buy other clothes -- I had to go to Chico's and buy interview clothes back in September, right after our princess had her first seizure and I decided I must get a better job -- I took DS to Chico's, with DLLP staying home with the baby (she was fine at that point, we were not), and they were having an extreme sale, and I bought some things for the interview.  I'd already started working at that place in a lower capacity, but was interviewing to move up, so I needed work clothes as well.  We've moved south from PHL, and I had absolutely no warm weather work clothes.  This is turning into a book, idesim will make fun of me.

Anyway, those Chico's clothes were good in a pinch, but they are not comfortable AT ALL in comparison with EF.  And Chico's is most certainly not punk.  I embraced my punkish roots shortly after that, and now can't bear the thought of wearing those other outfits -- I wear them if I have a big meeting with a square.

I know I sound like an EF spokesperson, but our Ariom sounds like a Marika spokesperson, so I believe it is all right.  M, I love to put on a long cami, and then a 'box top' -- they make a range of these tops, they are cut a little shorter, and then cami peeks out.  The 'box top' can be any sleeve length, it can be cotton or viscose jersey, it can be a sweater, linen or wool.  It is the shape that makes it a box top.  And then I love the bottoms -- that long skirt, and then I have a mid-length stretchy pencil skirt, and of course I have two pairs of the jeans in addition to my new waxed ones -- black and blue denim.  I have never worn jeans in my life until EF.  I always give any jeans I have away, they are not comfortable.

But the best part of EF is probably the scarves.  When it looked like BMX for me this time -- and there was this long period in which my NJ surgeon was set on it -- I amassed some scarves.  Some cheaper ones, and a few EF ones.  Now I have five or six beautiful EF scarves -- I had some before.  I like to throw one on to distract from my uneven area.  Now I have the prosthesis, so it's not uneven, but I am still self-conscious.  I have to say, I cannot 'go back' now that I have the EF scarves.  I don't want the other ones.  I am going to donate them, like idesim has suggested.  Obviously this is more shopping than I have ever done in my life, but I'd say I've done well -- four months out of surgery, third time in the breast, negotiate a raise for myself at the hospital without telling my boss I was there.  The children don't notice any difference.  Pulling down the double tuition.  Never missed a day of work except for the few days of surgery, in which I told my boss I was traveling.  I'd say if an EF capsule wardrobe made that possible, that's good news!

Princess is up and reading -- posting!

    Hi Bobo!

I am so glad you're back, and you're settled in the tiny house.

I am so thrilled that the little house is loved by the children. I had such a good feeling about it right from the start.

Does the tiny house have a tiny garden? Maybe a tiny raised bed for herbs, or a few different types of lettuce? I know, too soon, I am sorry, just thinking!

Feminist Rock and Roll, I love it, and what a brilliant concept. I understand why you want to be there too! You're so sweet to want to feed everyone.

The curry is super easy, it's all done in a Tagine. Big chunks of veg, blend of spices, coconut milk, a few dates and a handful of almonds, Slow cook for 45mins  I use seafood or chicken, but vegetarian is great too, I use more mushrooms if I don't use meat.

The EF capsule wadrobe sounds lovely. I must say I had fun at a Chico sale when I was in Atlanta a few years ago. LOL

I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have jeans. I love my jeans. Scarves are a favourite of mine too. I have a shop that I love called Blue Illusion, and they do gorgeous scarves, they are a little bit French, so the fabrics are wonderful.

So your day is starting, mine is just coming too an end. I can't wait to get to bed. Colin just got home. I feel a bit yuck, I ate too much garlic hummus and crackers, while chatting on the phone so now I have reflux. Totally self inflicted.

    I hope you have a great day......chat later M x

Poor M. I love hummus but since its made with sesame, it's a guilty pleasure. DS allergic so not allowed in the house and must brush teeth afterwards.

I love Aldi. We have two in the big city. Love their prices and produce. Plus I trust their brand to be safe for DS. Also love the chocolate. Haven't been in 3 months. People get turned off by having to "pay" for the trolley, take your own bags, and no credit cards. It reminds me of Ireland's shops.

Bobo you are too generous. Why don't you mix it up or every other day? Snacks are always appreciated. Maybe muffins one morning?

Can you still find herbs or a patio tomato plant for your porch? Did you get the room painted? You make me tired. Glad you found some camp. R-n-R sounds wonderful.

I hate to shop for myself. Always have good luck at the op shop near my sister. Have no idea what I'll need later. I was very casual and comfortable since I worked with toddlers. Would like to be more stylish but don't want to spend alot on stuff that will get snot, paint, flour, bleach, etc. not sure what size I'll be. Would be nice to keep off the weight I've list with chemo but hormones are lurking in my future.

It's another chilly morning. Looks like rain is mostly gone. Have JS today. Yea! Missed the turtles this morning since I walked late. Usually have one that watches me. Yesterday I had two.

Stomach issues late yesterday so no corn dogs. My sister picked up the kids and they got McDs. They inhaled it. Was the last day for water play. Always hungry afterwards.

I'm still learning to use scarves. Couple of years ago I was a DD, then lost weight and was a D. Now I've lost more weight and am a B (yay! that's what clothes are made for). I think I can wear scarves much better now. When I was a DD, I didn't want to add anything to the top front. I went on line for tying lessons and stumbled on a site with a Moslem young women showing how to do their head coverings. A lot of work goes into those.

'B' for Birdie!  I was a DD.  Now I think I am a D on that one side.  Other side I am a ?  Agree about adding to the bulk of the top part.  I must say, Birdie... go to the EF website!  She has most excellent scarf tying videos.  I rarely watch you tube videos, etc -- I can't stand to do it, I feel as if I am wasting my life.  But I watch the EF scarf-tying videos quite often, and with no ill effects.  :)

M! Garlic humuus overload!  You did it to yourself.  What is the 'blend of spices' in the tagine?   I have a tagine.  I am so ready to do this recipe.  But I don't want it to taste like something I always do.  I have no watermelon in the house.  I just realized it.  Sh1tballs.

'Blue Illusion' -- what a perfect name for a shop.  I love French-looking clothes, especially children's clothes.  American children's clothes are so ugly.  And very often they don't last.  It's difficult to find clothes for our princess that are not too modern or revealing.  I don't  like her to look like a desperate hip-hop dancer.

Z, so sorry about your stomach!  What do the turtles mean?  Our Ariom might be able to tell us.  And so I hear you both about the garden!  I have always wanted to do it.  Have tried a couple of times with varying success.  There is totally enough room in the back.  Tell me what I can plant at this time of year -- end of summer, and beating hot -- and I will do it.  I have enough sense to go to the gardening shop and get those little trays of miniature clumps of dirt and sow the seeds -- the kids love to do that -- and then transplant them to the ground.  But should I put better soil in the ground first?  And which types of things should I plant now?  I have heard you must plant certain things at certain times, I have never gotten the hang of it.  Standing by.  And you know, I bet our ND girl will know a thing or two about this...

    Unpacking the kitchen.

I know Moira is going to clap with glee over this.. I don't even watch the show but was excited to hear it lol.

I've never heard of Aldi, but turns out there is one right near us... I love their flyer it is so colorful!  Here's a link to ours.

Thank you guys for reminding me I had hummus and celery rotting in the work fridge.  I'm a plain hummus girl, I did try the garlic, but I hate the aftertaste and I bought eggplant, but that was just plain disgusting.  I made it from scratch once for a BBQ and it was excellent, I was never able to recreate it and gave up trying.

Oh boy, now I am clapping with glee over all the gardening encounters we get to hear now!!  They will be so entertaining.

I want to go to feminist rock camp too, it sounds like so much fun.. I have no ear for music whatsoever, but I can sing off key with the best of them!

Moira, it is not your yoga gear.. it is your yoga ensemble. Enjoy your nice quiet dinner.

Wow, lots to read!!  May have to do a two parter.

Last night I fell asleep in the recliner, that made me very happy that it is that comfortable.  And when I got up about 6AM I didn't ache anywhere.  Yay!  That bodes very well for sleeping in it after surgery.

I wish there was an Aldi near me!!  The closest one in Omaha, Nebraska!!  Don't see a shopping trip there anytime in any reality!!  Being in the boonies does have a few drawbacks, but it is worth it.

I had to go out in the back yard today with the tree limb trimmer and clip away a few branches that were in my view.  Sheesh I forgot how heavy that thing is and unweildly tall working with it over head. Won't be using it for a loooong time to come now.

bobo no problem, I'll do the group healing tomorrow as I am pooped today from fighting the trimmer and one solid thwack to the head when I lost control of it!!

Glad to hear the kids like the little house!  Sure must make things easier.  Feminist Rock and Roll camp sounds awesome!!  Art camp sounds fun too. You have a couple of really creative kids there!

Since I am the only one in my house, besides aforementioned cat, I certainly hope the controls on the recliner will last my life time!! Boo has already claimed one chair in the living room as his "own" (he crawls under the comforter draped on it to sleep in his own personal tent) so hopefully he will let me have the recliner as mine!!

I'm going to hold off on buying any nice clothes, EF or Marika until after I have healed enough to know what size I am going to end up.  I have two Amoena camis and the Jacki to tide me over until then.  But after that, retail therapy here I come!! :D.

I have a couple new scarves that I got at WalMart of all places, that are very light and lacey can't wait to try them out. I'll check out EF too later. I'll have to dig out some of the older ones I have saved and see if any will work for the new me.

More later, need to do something for dinner.....don't know what yet...
