ldesim, I see you are still very busy working. How are you doing?

What's on the coffee table tonight? I have been eating lots more pasta since your updates.

Gramwe, meant to say I loved the belly piercing story. I love the way you write. I feel like I am right there with you! I love getting such a laugh in the morning. It's a great start to my day....Look after you! M

Arrrrr!  Gramwe, you had me laughing so hard I almost peed my pants!  Great story!  I'm getting around town just fine flat, I probably will keep times I wear a bra to a minimum.  Not even going in for a while for a fitting.  As long as I do it this calendar year, everything will be paid for.

Sorry to hear about the pneumonia, hope you get it under control quickly. And a birthday dinner too!  Do look after yourself too.

Ahoy Zills, sorry to hear of your loss.  I hope this is the last for you for a good long time.  Hope you can keep clear of catching anything your family seems to be incubating!  The antique show sounds like fun!!

Ariom, I am so used to cramming as much as I can into a trip into town, it is hard for me to realize I just can't do that much right now.  It is a 70+ mile round trip that also adds to making me tired.

Aye Ariom, I too have an ex out there in the world! He is the father of my children.

ndgirl, so sorry to hear of DS dog. I have a friend in NH that has had Lyme for years, I don't know how it manifests in animals, but she has had a long tough haul working to get her health back.

Arrrrr bobo, is the Princess OK? How upsetting to have her have some symptons.  It sounds like she bounced back though.

Aye, I'm going to get me some grog, and see what kind of victuals I have in the refrigerator for dinner! :)

Bobo, sorry to hear about our little princess, hope things are going better now. Gb, I was not encouraged to go be fitted for about 6 weeks post surgery, so you probably have awhile, dont be in a hurry and it sounds like you are not. I understand your round trip of 70 miles, mine is a little shorter but it plays me out too, alot to get done in a day.

Ariom, no havent acquired any new boobs, my insurance only allows 2 in a year so will have to wait for January I guess, I did buy the micro-fiber on my own tho, let insurance pay for the spendy ones and I will buy the cheaper ones myself! But I am going to get a lot of miles out of your "Victor/ Victoria" phrase, my neighbor is a nice maybe early 50;s and is a custom officer at the border here, and I am so afraid I am going to shock him someday too! He may not let me back into the USA if he sees me outside in my robe some morn.Embarassed I have a light weight one from Amoena that I really like and wear the most.

Zills, sorry about another loss, agree with others, enough already! my friends daughter has melanoma and it reached one lymph node out of two, but they dont do anything about that, just make sure she goes in for a checkup every 2 months, also had one removed on her back and it came back precancerous! she is only 26 and thinks she is indestructable!! and I surely hope she is, but she really needs to stay on top of this, her Mom is worried sick understandably!

Hi to everyone! dont mean to exclude anyone, just have to catch up reading. Take care all.

ps. DS called and said vet gave dog medicine and said he should start to feel better in 48 hrs?? must be easier to treat animals than humans,, makes me worry that there are infected ticks in his area. maybe winter coming isnt a bad idea now.

Shiver me timbers!  I missed talking like a pirate day.  GB did an excellent job of it, though.  Probably because talking like a pirate is so near swearing, and GB is an excellent swearer..

I agree regarding all things Gramwe.  She is just fantastic.  I love to think of her with her foot on the baby, not caring what anyone thought!  A gentle yet emphatic foot.

Our princess has some 'breakthrough activity' lately that isn't a complete grand mal.  Probably it is some smaller version of a seizure.  Yesterday she woke up and was speaking slowly.  And then she was talking to me and... couldn't find the word for something... she just looked up at me, then looked down and smiled, embarrassed.  I smiled back, got a warm washcloth, washed off every part and sang her a little silly song (she had wet her pants).  But inside I felt like I was going to die.  You can see why I don't care at all about the mx.  Not worried or scared of that at all.  I hardly care, except for the fact that all of these Fing appointments are stressful and distract me from taking care of the baby.

She's great this morning, singing at the table and eating cereal.   She doesn't really notice what has happened, unless it's a big one, in which case she gets a headache, and she's only had two of them.  Meantime, though, I carry each one of them with me.  Z, I am so sorry for your sweet friend.

Okay, off to get my slap on and do the school run!  A brutal eleven-hour day of teaching and meetings.  And then, when I get home, it's our sixteenth wedding anniversary!

Oh Bobo, I am so sorry about our Princess. What does the Doctor say about this? Is it normal to have breakthrough?  I know nothing about this. You have great instincts about how to handle this, she must feel so secure and loved.

I worry about all the stress you have to deal with Bobo, it shouldn't be this intense.

I hope you can enjoy your Anniversary  this evening after such a long day. Take care M x

Happy Anniversary to Bobo and DLLP! If I were closer I'd whip you up an anniversary dinner, served on the coffee table with beer. That's it, I need to move closer to you that way we would be sure you were eating and gaining some weight. I am a very good careful driver so the school run would be covered too. Free up some of your time so you could relax, sounds like a plan! So very sorry that the Princess is having activity. Sending healing energy for her and plain energy for you.

Lyme disease in a pet, never thought about them getting that too. Nd, so hope that the medicine works quickly for the fur baby. Winter could be a great thing to help take care of all the disease carrying varmints. We had no winter last year, one tiny little snow that came and went in the same day, very few nights below freezing, so this summer has been great for all the insects, and evidently germs. As soon as this crud leaves I'm having a flu shot.

Okay Gb, a 70 mile trip explains why you try to pack so much into each trip. Driving a lot is still taxing on me too. Thank goodness for a little pillow that Bobo sent that keeps the seat belt from rubbing the chest, it makes driving much more comfortable.

Time to call the doctor to see if he has time to see me today. This crap is not leaving my body, I'm bored with feeling like I've been hit by a truck. The Weasel even had to help with the cooking last night, handing over the whisk is not something that comes easy. Hugs

Gramwe, I was just wondering how you were doing. Must be bad if you'll hand over anything, to the Weasel!

I am terrified of the Flu shot. I have had it a few times, but every time I have come down with the worst flu lurgy! The Doctors all insist that it can't make you sick, but how could it be so coincidental?

I didn't get my planting done today. It was so wild and windy that I couldn't be out there. Instead I went to the Opp Shops! Didn't find anything much today, but visited my friend with Ovarian ca, she is a gorgeous lady who has been a good friend to me since I arrived here.  She isn't doing too well, but you'd never know it.

I may take a trip into town tomorrow, but will wait to see what the weather has in store. I have my little pillow too, for the drive, it makes me think of Bobo!..Take care M x

Oh Bobo, so sorry to hear that Princess had a breakthrough acitvity, I have no experience on that end either, but I sure understand how you must feel! we always put our children first and you have so much to deal with all around, hope you enjoy your Happy Anniversary!! may you have many more! I also love my little pillow, it fits just on my neck when I need it and also under my arm.. I send you good thoughts evey time I use it.. you and your family. My prayer list just keeps growing!

Just wondering Gramew.. how did you hand the whisk over to the weasel, maybe with a good direct slap in the hand??? Hope you get some answers and feel better soon.

Ariom, i have never had a flu shot but suppose dr may push me now, but dont think I will take it. They say there is no live virus in it, but I too wonder. sorry about your lovely friend with ovarian C. Just heard yesterday that my friend that has been fighting lung cancer, her scan showed another small spot on the lung so on Monday she begins radiation and chemo! That is so depressing and it is a cold dreary day here and that doesnt help either. In need of a nap.

We had the craziest thing happen last nite- I heard a beeping in the basement and then another weird sound like a rapid clicking, quickly got DH and of course it had quit, but after a bit it did it again and it was the water pump not working and we thought it had shorted out causing a little power outage.. so this morn dh called a guy we know that sells water pumps and he is about 40 miles away but said he would come soon, then we discovered that some electrical appliances werent working properly UGH! but luck would have it the electric company guy was in town and he came to check all things out and turns out one of their power lines had a break in it, so he has temporatily fixed it until later today when he comes back to do the full fix.. so glad the pump wasnt burned out, my washer wouldnt work, thought it had blew that out but nope it works too, so far all things are ok, but I didnt sleep last nite thinking something may start fire... but glad things are fine now, we paid the guy that came with new pump the mileage, he said he liked to have coffee and get out of his town anyway!! Always nice when repair men work with their customers.. but around here everyone knows everyone, or at least they have a person common ! sorry didnt mean to write a novel here but so glad things are ok.

Seems we have a bit of bad news going around... sorry you are under the weather Granwe.. although I am glad it is not LE which you were worried over. I hope you whacked the weasel upside the head with the wisk... please try to get some rest its  the only way to get rid of that.

Zils, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend.. you've had a very tough time lately with deaths.. more than your share.   I hope you are feeling better in time to enjoy our girl's weekend.. you so deserve it.  I hope to HELL that you don't get sick with them all around you!  Please be careful.

Happy anniversary Bobogirl.. which wedding is being celebrated today? :)  I am horrified to hear that our princess had some activity and equally horrified that she butchered her hair, but let me say you are such an  extraordinary mom, it just makes me smile to know how very lucky those two children are.  I'm dying to hear how the princess made out at her beauty appt.  I worry about you with all the stressing you do!

My little pillow is in my dining room where i have a laptop and it sits at the small of my back in the chair. Its just the cutest thing and I just adore it.

Omigosh there was an Aldi altercation!  You must see these people every day at least and they give you sh1t over a return? I hope you gave them super squinty eyes!  I am laughing over the bloody fridge, although the clean up sounded less then pleasant.. how far along are you in eating the berries?  At least that is something easy to eat up.

I too have hard of flourescent condoms, but not dye for the nether region... not so sure I would want that glowing in the dark haha.

I concur with Ndgirl, Granwe, you should write a novel.. I would buy it in a heartbeat!  As Bobogirl stated, there is a spot on my fridge waiting for a flannel covered @ss pic.

Ndgirl, I have heard that the ticks are really bad this year.

Ariom, still busy at work indeed, but it is getting better... we've been eating a lot of pasta too... I think it's just the weather.. it just calls out for the comfort foods! I have a coupon for a restaurant near me at work and I am going to bring take out home.. pasta!

Posting and I'll check in later.

Good morning all! I have had a lousy, totally self inflicted, reflux filled night. Oh how I feel for you having this all the time Zills. I ate 3, just 3, peppermint cream chocolate cookies, and boy, have I ever paid for it...never again.

I am so tired from being woken by the "burn" that I also have so much sympathy for all of you who have the sleeping issues. I always feel bad for you when you speak of it, but this is just such a reminder of what you go through.

ndgirl, so glad you got your power problem sorted without too much drama. Isn't it the worst sinking feeling when it goes wrong. I always see $$$ signs when it happens to us.

We have instantanious hot water heaters, so if the power goes out they shut down. I don't know how many times I have been left shivering, waiting for the water to be hot, after a power surge. We have small panels on the wall to adjust the temp, but do I ever remember to switch them on again? Nope!

I know what you are saying ndgirl, If I hear that there is no live virus in the flu shot one more time! My Doctor, who I went to for over 30 years in the city, agreed it was "just me", tried me on a half dose, but I still got sick, and had an arm that swelled and burned, every time too.

So sorry to hear of your friend with lung c too. It is truly and epidemic, is it not? It is just everywhere, and you barely go a day without hearing of someone else with some kind of c. Hate it with a passion! Take care..M x

Gramwe, are you tucked up in bed taking big bomb antibiotics now? I do hope you are getting over this thing now. Such a setback to have this, but hopefully you'll feel stronger soon.

ldesim, you have no idea how surprised I was at the Aldi altercation. I have been floating around living in this kind of altered reality since moving here. Everyone is so accomodating and helpful here, so to have that reaction was like being dumped back into reality, big time. I realised that I had lost my quick acerbic tongue, from lack of use for over a year. It has definitely changed my perception of good old Aldi. I was going to get up at "sparrows fart" this morning to go in and battle the queues for two fold up bikes, but decided to just buy from the bike shop instead, at my leisure. A number of friends who have been to stay have said they would love to try the bike tracks that we have around the lakes, so I thought I would buy a couple of these that could be folded and taken in the car to different locations to see the sights.

Aldi can "Whistle Dixie" now, unless they have something I really want and can't source elsewhere. I am a shocker, I can forgive, but I never forget!

I too, would buy a gramwe novel! I can picture everything gramwe writes about, and I always have such a good laugh.

Glad to see work is becoming more manageable and not so stressful for you.

I was sure the fluro "betty" would have been seen there too! I find it outrageous that anyone would risk getting a reaction to all those chemicals "down there" but I guess people will try anything.

Well "take 33" of trying to get these planters done today. It is warm and still, so I guess that will be perfect mozzie conditions. I am tired. so hope the Rites will wake me up, and my "downward dog" doesn't charge up the reflux again! catch you later...M x

First PT visit today and I find all sorts of spots aching that I haven't felt since surgery.  All in all I have pretty good range of motion and many people might just take it as this is as good as it gets, but I want it back as good or better than it was before.  I didn't do much today, but I had to move a bunch of things & furniture back into place that I had to move out from the walls yesterday for the pest control people. Can I say d@mn, overdid again!?  Will have to totally rest up this weekend.

Ariom, one thing I do, that I learned from a friend years ago is save every reciept I get.  When I get home, after I enter it in the checkbook, I put it in a wastebasket reserved just for this purpose.  Business ones go in another file.  At first it was a bother, but now it is second nature and if I need to go back and find one, there it is...

bobo, I'm sorry, I am a little new to the group and am not sure what anniversary you are celebrating.  You and DLLP are getting married soon, I understand, so it this something else?  I'm the new kid on the block so forgive my ignorance.  I worry so much about you and all the stresses you are under.  I so love the stories of you and your loving relationship with your darling children.  You are an awesome mom in all respects and I totally understand you putting yourself second to thier needs, just remember, they want you to be around for them forever too, so you have to think of yourself too.  Hugs and healing energy coming your way for as long as you need it.

My little pillow came from the volunteers at the Cancer Society at my hospital, I guess some of you here have gotten them from bobo?  bobo, I don't know how you do all you do, I really don't.  I will treasure my "foobs" any time they may come.  You are the WOMAN!!

Hi gB, you just can't help yourself! LOL moving furniture now! I was told nothing over 10lbs for 8 weeks.

I totally "get" the receipt thing. Kicking myself for not realising.

I always keep mine too, but this time I didn't get one. I started looking when I got hoome, before I even tried on the tops because I had bought  a smoothie machine too, I always staple receipt inside the instruction book with the warranty. I did the big hunt around, knowing I  probably hadn't been given one. I had returned straight home after Aldi, so no chance I lost it elsewhere.

I don't know if your Aldi is the same, I assume it is, but their checkout system is just the worst ever. Apart from no express lane, what's that about?  Everything gets out of control at the end because the checkout people don't pack, so you are juggling all the stuff, plus trying to put your card through the machine, and they only allow you a tiny little bit of counter at the end for your goods. I guess that was why I missed the receipt this time. It will not happen again!

I got the cancer council bc bag too. I am sure the others did too, but early on, when we got together here, Bobo very graciously made some little cushions for driving with.

I have been gone for some time, and this post sat here unfinished. I have planted out my pots....yay!

    Take care everyone....M x

So you got your pots all planted.. that sounds so nice especially after we had our first frost last night!! so some of mine will soon be gone but I do save some in our office building, geraniums do nicely all winter there. It is a beautiful cool fall day here with sun shining and that is what I need, I am just like a plant.. need my sun.

Take it easy GB, I know it is hard and I am not so good at doing it myself, I find if I dont do my stretching excercises everyday I get so stiff in the chest and even up into my neck,, so I dont miss very often, and I am also doing the Rites too. I agree with you about Bobo.. she is the WOMAN and such a great mom and yep.. she needs to take care of herself too!! I know you will Bobo!

    Have a great weekend all.

I spent yesterday recovering my great grandmother's rocking chair (the one she sat in telling me stories of growing up on the frontier in Missouri). I used pillows for padding. It looks like a 5yo's first attempt, but it's SO comfortable. I don't know whether to do it over to make it look better, or just leave it. I'm also going to try covering the sofa with more than one pattern fabric. It's either going to look good or incredibly stupid. I also took the IKEA catalog and showed DH how we could redo all the furniture on the cheap.

Ariom, yeah, I know, I was told that too, (I'm at about 5.5 weeks now) but things have to be done sometimes and there isn't anything I can do. I knew I was going to pay, at least it hasn't been too bad. Sadly no Aldi around me.... I looked at it online and I think I would really like it too!!

I do that so often, I'll start a post and get side tracked and find it hours later when I get back to the computer!  Sometimes that is the reason I loose posts, I refresh the page before I realize I have an unfinished post.... :(

Glad you got your plants all planted!

ndgirl, we got close last night to a freeze, 34°F, although a chart I looked at said we had a freeze on Aug 27, don't remember that though.

I have been doing stretching daily for a while now, some of the things in the Cancer Society booklet, some that just feel good to me.  I am going to start doing the Rites soon.  I have been doing the spinning several times a day for a few days, but that is as far as I have gone so far.

I'm tender from the PT visit yesterday but will do my exercises today anyway.  He found a very tight spot around my shoulder blades that he massaged out, that felt soooo good!  He'll be coming 2x a week for 2 or 3 weeks, maybe more if BS will OK it.

Wren, sounds like fun experimenting with recovering the furniture.  I'm of the mind if you like it and it is comfy, it is fine the way it is!!  The sofa sounds like a major project!  Have fun!

Gotta go get my exercises done and then hit the warm shower to relax everything.  Just have the tiniest spot on the bc side that is still weeping.  It only does it at night because I'm laying on that side some, hopefully soon it will be all finished!!

    Have a great weekend all!

    Good Morning all!

Lovely day here, and I am so chuffed sitting here looking out the window at my new planters. They are a tad sparse right now. but when they fill up they will be just what I want. Will try to get Colin to post a photo today, one that has a least some of the Clivias that are still fowering.

ndgirl, it is so weird, as I have said before, to know you are getting geared up for frost, and I am breaking out the Summer clothes and buying salad veg! I love the sun too!

Wren, I would love to have my Grandma's chair. If it is comfy, just keep it that way for now. You can always redo it later.

I have just received the Ikea Catalogue too. I have a white Ikea Ektorp couch in my family room, and I love it. I bought two white covers for it so I could wash and change them around. I have a couple of faux wolf fur rugs that I have draped on it because Dex seems to love the couch, but white and Dex are not a great mix! I really like a lot of the Ikea stuff, but probably luckily for us, there is no Ikea within 300km of us.

Have fun with your upholstery project! M x

Hi gB, I know how hard it is trying to get stuff done when you are on your own. If you could have seen Colin and I struggling with things you'd have had a good laugh. Fortunately, for me, one of his girls will turn up and I can eventually get things done.

As the others have said, the exercise is paramount. They are really full on here with pushing the post op exercises. I did my stretching 4 times a day, as instructed, starting with the first lot in the shower, under hot water, every day for months. Then I started the Rites, and I believe they have been a really good exercise for opening the chest. I have even built up my pec muscle that helps hide the concave chest below. I think I have even better ROM than when I started all this. I have always had stiff shoulder issues with the Rheumatoid that have improved with all this exercise.  I also bought a Body Pump bar and weights, and use that for building muscle back too.

It sounds like you are definitely through the worst of it now. I can't believe it has been over 5 weeks since you had the surgery. Still, try to take it easy when you can. It will be a while till your body really recovers from all that time under the anaesthetic.

Colin's attendant just arrived and she tells me she has been swooped by Magpies all the way up the road from the Ferry. She lives on the Island and brings her bike across and rides up the hill to us. She said they actually hit her about 6 times on her bike helmet. I am not so sure Dex will get his big walk today.

Take care, and hopefully everyone else is sleeping still! M x

How beautiful. Will you have to bring the pots indoors or do you ship them off to a greenhouse for over wintering? You put a lot of work into them.

Waiting for an anniversary update and princess update. You rock bobo. You are so patient and creative.

Unfortunately I'm glad to hear that if you don't stretch every day you feel tight. I thought it was just me. Surely with all the cooking and cleaning and childcare we would get enough but guess not. Need to make me a priority for 20 min or so twice a day but....

Everyone slept in yesterday and today. I so needed my time away. DH has had meetings three days in a row. Was gone all afternoon. I thought he was fixing equipment. Next time he can have the kids!

The show Friday night was a bust. I didn't find anything and was very tired. It was also humid waiting for the rain. I did get to pet a black lab and get out of the house.

Yesterday I scored three horsey pictures frames. It was raining most of the morning so there wasn't too much out. Was acknowledged by several bc survivors. It was good to hear positive stories, if you count a year of chemo positive but its been 7 years for her.

DH had another meeting and I needed a nap so came home at lunch. Next time I'm going to let him take them. No nap again for me. Be good for him to experience nap time crankiness and feeding them lunch and bathroom issues. Might make the meeting shorter. He was there for 6 hours! And met with him on Thursday and Friday!

I shouldn't complain. It's work and its close to home. And it is very hard to build a custom home when you have all those decisions!

Today is a birthday party for a dear friend. I'm hoping we can all go. I'm in the mood for cake!

I'm also hoping for a nap and the dish fairy to show up.

M I'm surprised peppermint cookies upset your stomach. Were they too rich? Chocolate doesn't seem to bother you.

Granwe. I think you should decorate your foobs. That way when they escape its more entertaining. I can hear them now. Did you see that tattooed boob at her age? Sure was perky! How come yours don't do that?

GrammaB. I certainly understand trying to fit everything in one trip. I can't imagine having to drive 70 miles home. I hope you treat yourself to a nice snack/lunch before you start home.

ND. How is the grand dog? Sometimes I think animals have better treatment options than we do. Guess your frost has got all them nasty buggers. It has been a bad year for ticks.

It's bottom wiping time. Gotta go. Have a great Sunday!

Hi Zills! No, can't move these now. They are each 3' across, it took 2 men to get them off the truck and into place, and then 2 wheelbarrow loads of dirt to fill them. They aren't going anywhere!LOL They are under a glass roof on this front patio so they will survive the winter.

I am hoping all is well with Bobo too. I hope the Anniversary went well.

As weird as it may seem, the stretching seems to be something that needs to be done long term, even for one side like me. I find I rarely feel the full force of the "Claw" these days, but I do feel my chest tighten up if I overdo it. I still massage every day too. I know it  is time that you have to schedule in when you are busy enough already.

Have you had your girls get together yet?

I have Colin's Sister and her Son coming this week. Colin's Mother is deteriorating, so they are coming to see her. I'll have to get into visitor mode!

    I hope you have a good day....M x

Good morning! For those in the US, Happy First Day of Fall, y'all. M, does that mean it's the first day of spring for you? I'll have to break out the laptop to see your planters. Those magpies sound like mean little birds, maybe they are the stars of Angry Birds, our DGS loves anything Angry Birds, the game, clothes, backpacks.

Wren, I'm with Gb, if your chair is comfy, and you like it, that's all that matters. So impressed that you are even thinking of covering a sofa, that's ambitious. I covered 100 wall panels, it was part of a project for the company where the OG works. Days of crawling on my knees on the deck, they were too large to bring indoors, a pattern with a small stripe that had to be straight. Then after all that work the client decided to do something, no worries I was still paid, and those panels are still stored in the warehouse.

Nd, the first frost already. A "cold" front brought us rain and wind yesterday, today the sky is crystal blue, and cool. Love this time of year. Hopefully it will stay this way all next week, so I can play in the dirt.

Zills, I think we may need to jump on the stretching band wagon, like you I figured housework, yard work, etc was enough. Yet everyday my chest feels tighter. Taking care of others doesn't leave much time for taking care of yourself. Did you go to the fall festival?

The good ole doctor was out of the office until tomorrow and I did not want to see his NP, she has the attitude of Satan's daughter, and her first idea is always hospital. In my own pharmacy, a big box in the laundry room, I found a 7 day course of antibiotics, so I started them on Fri. and feel much much better, not only is the chest congestion breaking up, but my urinary problems are better. I told the GP in JULY, that I had a kidney infection, he tested found blood from stones scooting around in there but no infection and no treatment. In Aug, I told the MO the same thing, he tested with the same results. I haven't felt well for weeks, before the pneumonia even with the first antibiotics, but with these I feel finer than frog hair. : )

Time to bathe the animals, and feed the goat. Hugs. Hope everyone enjoys their day/night

Was posting at the same time Zills!

Glad you got out and picked up something nice. Did you get the pillows you wanted?

I so agree that it is a good thing for a man to have to take the children now and again, just to "keep it real". They really don't know how much we do, or how mundane it can be.

You're so funny! I love the decorated foob idea for gramwe, I bet she

    will be into that too!

I think the cookies were too rich for me, no idea why, I can knock over slabs of fudge and  TimTams, with no bad effects, but these were beyond awful.

Bottom wiping time, oh the joy!!!!

Ooohhhh decorated foobs, I love it. Now to find some shocking decals to slap on the girls. Zills hope the DHs clients settle on something, I remember the days of clients that changed their minds, and those that thought every waking moment should be available for their ideas, questions, and complaints. Oh how I wish we were back in home building, guess those days are over now.

Going to look up tattoo photos.

    Hi Gramwe!

Boy, are you one tough cookie. You never cease to amaze me with all you do, and when you're under the weather too. Self administering the right antibiotic for both lurgies..you're a legend!:)

First day of Spring was 1st September for us.

These Magpies are enormous, like city Maggies on steroids, so they really are scary. Apparently the Plovers here are even worse. I am told they have a barb on their leg and can scratch you when they swoop and cause an infection. All the more reason to stay home during this nesting time.

    Take care gramwe! M x

Ariom, I see one of those African game hunter hats in your future. They're hard on top and have a brim for sun protection.

Ariom, your garden is lovely!!  Once things fill out some, it will be beyond gorgeous!!

My BS didn't say anything about frequency of doing the exercises.  In fact she didn't say anything about what exercises to do at all!  Just the rx for "Post Mastectomy PT".  I have the small booklet from the cancer society that has a series of stretching exercises that I piddled around with a little until the PT started.  Turns out, the PT downloaded the same info to give to me on the first visit!  So those are what he wants me to do, but no mention of 4x a day or anything like that. (He is not a specialist in post mastectomy care.)

I am the type of person that will do stretching all throughout the day.  Sitting at the computer, I will often do the elbows back crunching the shoulder blades or hands back of my head "chicken wing" stretch.  When I am watching TV I am massaging my rib cage and underarm skin to loosen it.  When PT examined he said the only place I really have much adhesion is down the breast bone and a bit at the top of rib cage in that area.  There is so little tissue there it is understandable.  So now I am gently massaging that area as often as possible.  I'll go through the ones in the booklet too and hopefully that will get me loosened up just fine.

I'm going to gradually start the Rites too.  I have been spinning several times a day now for about 5 days, today I will add the second rite to the mix and see how that goes.  I have back issues and not sure I will be able to do that one, but will give it a try.  I'll do just the 2 for a few days and then add on the next, etc until I am doing them all.  I'm probably going too slowly, but I just want to be sure my back will tolerate them.

Zills, sometimes just getting out is enough, but glad you found something nice at the show after all!  Hope you get to go to the birthday party and have some yummy cake!!  I agree DH should have his time to do kid duty, bottom wiping and all!! ;)

Decorated foobs!! LOL! Fun idea! :))

My trip to town is 70 miles round trip, not one way, thank goodness!! The homeward bound trip is really the worst after all the running around and shopping.  Before bc, I only went up about once every 5-6 weeks, now for some reason, I am going more often, like every couple of weeks. At least now I am done with all the dr appointments until Nov.  That will cut the trips down a lot!

gramwe, glad you found some meds that helped you! Seven day course may just do the trick.  I get so annoyed when drs don't believe me or doubt my assessment of problems.  I sure as he11 know my body far better than any one of them does!!

I too am awaiting bob's report on the anniversary and how the Princess is doing.  Hope everything went without any glitches and all had fun!

Time to make the garbage run up to the road.  Cloudy and raining here, want to get out when there is a break in the rain.

    Hugs for all!
