Oh my Giddy Aunt! Is that possible? A graduate student doing the surgery. Don't they have to clear that with you first?

I am so pleased you are considering staying close to home and giving it a shot with the BS. Nothing is set in concrete, so don't feel that it is.

I can't see that wanting a PS to close should be a big deal, but will they drive you mad trying to talk you into a recon, since they are going to be there!

What is it about kids cutting chunks out of their hair? Bec did an apalling job of hers once. She grabbed the centre of her fringe/ bangs? She twisted it and then cut it right at the scalp, not a good look, and that one defied the joke about What's the difference between a good and a bad haircut? About 2 weeks! This one took considerably longer!

I don't envy you trying to get that fixed. Have the cocktail! M x

Sorry. My stomach was unhappy last night. Nothing worked. Was even willing to give it to my DH. I haven't before wanted him to trade with me.

Finally slept about 11, awake at 1:30, baby up at 5:30 with stinky diaper. Finally got her back to sleep and we all overslept. Boy late for school. DH trying to beat the rain.

So here I am, praying for a better stomach day. Need to go to store and wash sippy cups and do another load of laundry. It never ends.

No kohl eyes for me. Just have stubs for eyelashes and may lose my "halo" by next week.

I know it's a teaching hospital but you should be able to specify. I've heard others say their resident was a lot nicer and took more time than the BS afterwards to explain stuff. I really wish one of us could be there with you in person.

Haven't had the scissors thing yet with hair. Someone at school cut their hair and he cut his folder and shirt first week of school last year. Two little girls cut their hair last week at daycare. Must be in the air.

Hope Granwe is recovering. Is today an OG workday? Maybe she'll find time for us while he's gone.

Wren. Do you have any destinations in mind? We used to take long weekends for my birthday and our anniversary. Not since the kids. His birthday is the end of Oct and he looks forward to having the house to himself while we go to Ohio (cousins) for Halloween.

Have a better day! Will a good cup of coffee and a sweet treat fix your cocktail craving?

Hmm.  No cocktail for me -- it would make me too tired.  I may have a beer in my future, though.

Yes, I guess you sign something, M, but they snuck it by me with the 2008 surgery in PHL -- I read about it on the surgery report when I was moving hospitals!  The BS totally lied to me! -- and then when I went to America's Favorite (AF) I told her the story, requested she do it, and she said, If you don't want to work with med students GET UP and go to another hospital, because this is a teaching hospital.  But I didn't feel like getting up.  Lump had doubled in size.  I felt like having it out quickly.

Wren, what are you doing special for your birthday this year? I love that idea.. we don't get presents for each other.. but we usually buy something for the house. F that.. I think from now on we are going to travel.

Bobogirl, I love ya.. but bacon makes the world a better place.. it's just the way it works... let me amend.. bacon & dark chocolate :)

I love the sound of Wren's soup... love sweet potato and I agree.. leave sausage out.  I thinK Wren should share the whole recipe lol.

The princess lobbed off her hair? What possessed her to do that (am laughing a bit).  Note that I have only caught up on Page 69.. can you believe our little thread is up to 70 pages now? haha.

Bobogirl, I haven't had short hair for 40 years.. I don't like short hair on myself at all so I don't know what I am going to do.. it's not like I have a ton of solutions.  I can't keep hiding under the wig, it is starting to get itchy lol.

Moira, I love that you ate a whole package of Tim Tams.. you still did better than I would have.. they are not big packets to my recollection, so I would probably (and I just may have, but don't remember) eat an entire package in one sitting.  Of course when I had them a gazillion years ago, I wasn't as fat as I am now.

I concur, I think Granwe should post the famous @ss pic.

Damn we have to wait a week for America's fav??  Oh I can practice squinting and not blinding myself with the kohl pencil.

posting and will catch up on page 70 later on :)

Yes Wren!  Where are you going for your birthday?  Inquiring minds want to know.  We never go anywhere either.  But in March we are going to get married in MA.  That's something.  That's  a trip.

Idesim, now that you're traveling you'll have to come down to see me and Spookie and Granwe when you are cold!  We will all be waiting for you.  I think you have a lot of hair options.  I think you should spend real money on a haircut.  Let them pamper you, have a glass of champers, get some kind of stylish little pixie.  You deserve it!  Are you going to color?  Or leave it s and p?  Don't forget: if you color it, you've got to get "a batch to match the snatch."

On the coffee table tonight (or in the bed): magic sandwich.  I am bushed.

Rapid submission.  Our princess just wanted to wield the scissors in that way.  It's one of the stories of the ages.  Laughing at the Bec story.  You know, it's a considerable swath, right in front.  I panicked when it happened, inside.  But I'm fine now.  It takes more than that to break me.

What's a magic sandwich? My DH never heard the batch match snatch phrase. Too funny.

Chocolate covered bacon? Do you make it or buy it? I agree. You should get the works for your first hair cut. I didn't realize you were still wearing the wig and you are still cold? I'm going to freeze!

When will I learn??  The trip to town yesterday was crazy, after the 3rd stop, I was totally exhausted and just decided to come home. Got some new winter pjs, a couple camis, a couple long sleeve shirts, another scarf, and a new purse/bag.  I was hoping it would be large enough to hold my Gen1 iPad.  It is w/out the case, just barely, & not sure safely.  I had also intended to go to Costco, get my hair cut and stop a Bed Bath & Beyond for some more storage containers for left overs that I freeze.

Just was not up to all of that.  Today I am still really tired, and I had to ship a couple items and run them to the PO and go to the grocery store.  I am so tired right now a shower sounds like too much work!!  My BS said to keep showering everyday until all healed.  My skin is so dry...... Rt side incision is still weeping just a tiny bit.  That scar is not going to be nice I'm afraid.

bobo, I sure hope you can get the team you are most comfortable with and that will follow your wishes.  I have not for one minute regretted my BMX, I can certainly see why you would want to go that route and be done with all the crap they are putting you through.

Seriously they can have a grad student do the surgery, w/out your consent!!  That is frightening!

You will be surprised at how fast you can bounce back.  I know I was, though I still don't have all my energy back. I was on my own the day after I got out of the hospital and was just fine taking care of myself.  I even slept in my own bed the first night home.  I got a wedge pillow and put another small pillow on it and it worked OK.  I only used it a few days though.  Get satin (slippery) pjs so you can slide out of bed easily.  That was the best prep item I bought!! I didn't need any help getting in or out of bed.

I worried about the drains too.  I got a couple Amoena camis with the drain pockets and they worked great for keeping things in control.  I couldn't shower until day 3, and boy did it feel good!  No special care for the drains incision when showering.  I took a length of gauze and tied the ends together and had the visiting nurse pin the drains to it on my back.  I tried the lanyard with the drains in front the first time and it was too hard to manage them in front.  With them in back, I could wash my incisions freely.

I did organize my kitchen a bit with plates and pots and pans at counter height so I didn't have to reach too high to get things.  I only did that about a week and by then I could reach the second shelf in the cupboards.  I got a "grabber" and did actually use it several times!!  It was invaluable for pulling the shades down in the kitchen.  It didn't occur to me that when I opened the shade that first morning alone that at bedtime, I'd have to pull it down.  Could not reach the cord.  Grabber to the rescue!  It will come in handy reaching things on the high shelves.

I drove at about a week, if I recall correctly, just a short 14 mile round trip to the PO.  It was a little sketchy as I felt some pulling, but kept my hands lower on the steering wheel and it worked OK.  At 2 weeks I made the 35 mile drive to town to pick up DS and it was OK too, tiring, but that was all.  So you could drive just exercise caution.  Oh and I still use the small pillow that came from my "gift bag" from the surgeon's office, under the seat belt across my chest.

I bought a lot of bandages, gauze, sanitizer wipes, feminine wipes, and assorted things I never really needed, so go easy on stocking up on those.  You may get some from the hospital. I had no one to run any errands after for me so I got them, but you have DLLP to pick up what you will need afterwards.

I just wash my hair in the shower, I don't see any reason why you couldn't go to the beauty shop as soon as you feel up to it.  I got my hair darned near shaved off, very very short pixie cut, which is just now a bit over a month later starting to look a tiny bit in need of a clean up around the ears.  Very easy to wash and rinse out in the shower.

I'm going to post this before it gets lost.... need to shower and fix something to eat though I'm not hungry!

    Be back later.

    Hugs to all!

Aww Zils, sorry to hear you are having tummy issues again... I really am in awe of you with a baby and little boy going through all this cr@p.  I hope you were able to get some nap time in.

Losing the eyelashes was more traumatizing to me than the hair... and I'm still losing them here and there which I understand is normal for a period of time.  I used my mascara wand to just "dot" my lids so I didn't look so sickly at work lol.  No clue if I pulled it off, it's not like anybody would tell me the truth.  The good news is... everything but the hair grows back really fast once chemo ends.

GrammaB is still overdoing it I see... I have to chuckle that you are surprised you got fatigued with all that shopping.  I recall I went food shopping with Joe about 3 days after, I just had to get out of the house and I was all perky and just glad to be out and over everything and then BLAM midway through I just was so damn tired lol.

Great recap, I think you covered the most important points.

Yes, I'll color my hair... I don't like S&P, my chemo nurse says I should avoid ammonia as it stunts hair growth, so I'll ask her to get something natural.  I will probably go choco brown with blonde or caramel highlights. My GF's daughter does hair.. she's done my hair for years.. I totally trust her.  My only choice is a pixie cut.

I know.. I'm surprised I still wear the wig, I suppose to me its a security blanket of some kind... honestly.. it is so damn easy to just put it on and go.. I havent had to use a blow dryer, flat iron or any hair products for almost a year and it's so liberating!  I just wash the wig weekly and put it on it's little stand!

I am curious on the magic sandwich as well.

Moira, I am glad you are getting help with the garden... what are we planting today?

Ooh!  Many thanks for the S & P fanny update!  You make me laugh so much.

What's going on in the garden?  We all want to know.  The magic sandwich is just the same sandwich I have already told you about: it's vegetarian meat, sauteed onion, veganaise and sriracha on toasted little teeny split-open crispy hard rolls.  Like little hors d'oeuvres.  Magic because I am not liking anything with wheat these days -- for instance, pasta -- but I am liking those sandwiches still.

Well, I had a genius idea.  Our princess has been resistant to the idea of a haircut -- the 'evening out' is going to be considerable, her patch is to the scalp, and she's aware of it -- and so, guess what I did?  I got out of a meeting an hour early, ran to the shopping center for a Starbucks, went to the ear-piercing place, and got my ears pierced!  I said to the girl -- I'll have three on this side, two on the other, but my bottom two are already done.  And then she said, wait.  Did you have three and two once?  I see where they were.  And I said, Oh, right!  I forgot.  I was a little bit punk once.  So I was getting those redone.

Then I went and picked up our princess and didn't say anything.  I never wear earrings.  And she said, Hey!  You have earrings!  And I said, Yeah!  I was just walking by the hairdresser and a place was right there!  So I did it!  And they had diamonds, and pink diamonds, but I didn't get those.  And she said, pink diamonds?  I would have some of those.  And I said, Hey!  Why don't we stop in there after we get your hair cut, get pink diamonds, and then go on to the hot fudge sundae store from there?  I feel like a genius right now.

gB, your advice and good thoughts are so nice and welcome.  You know what's funny?  In March when all of this was happening, I already did stock up on all those wipes and stupid stuff that I am not going to use!

I cut my hair when I had the measles in grade school.. It was about chin length with a barette holding it out of my eyes. I just picked up the barette, chopped it off below, and stuffed the hair into my crayon box so Mom wouldn't notice. And she didn't until that night. To this day, I wear bangs to keep it out of my eyes. I guess my hair is basically a pixie.

bobo, good distraction with the earrings and sundae!!  I think all kids must go through that at some point!  My DS did it to my DD, he was 4 or 5 and she was 2 or 3.  Same thing cut the front off to the scalp and did the same halfway up the middle in the back.  To this day he still swears that they came in and asked if he could trim her hair and I said yes!!  I was in the middle of a case of chicken pox they brought home to me from the Montessori school and my then husband was traveling on business. (Chicken pox as an adult was not fun at all!!) I was flat in bed napping while they did. I do not remember him asking......

Glad you are eating your sandwich and enjoying it.

Zills, hope the stomach settles down quickly!

Wren, so where are you going for your trip??  I hope it is somewhere fun!!

bobo and ldesim, I guess Dexter is an acquired taste.  My DD turned me on to it several years ago and I've watched everything from the beginning.  At this point I am 2 or 3 seasons behind. I need to catch up so I can rent the final season.  I am so afraid I'm going to get the ending spoiled before I catch up.

Ariom glad you got some help in the garden.  Did you get the rocks you liked from the neighbor too? Waiting to hear of all you got planted!

Going to bed soon, my chest is hurting tonight, my punishment for overdoing I guess. Have a good night all and good morning Ariom!

I am home, at last  What a day I've had!

ldesim, I thought the exact same thing. gB you crack me up, I can't believe all the stuff you try to cram into a short shopping expedition. I  hit the wall, still, if I overdo it that much.  I need a nana nap right now!

I don't know what it is about Dexter , but Colin and I got into it from episode 1, and have watched every episode since. It has been a very long time. gB, I won't spoil it for you, the last episode is on Monday afternoon here, so Sunday night for you. We can't even guess what may happen, there are so many scenarios that have been thrown into the mix.

Bobo, I love the "Batch to match the snatch!" the only one I know is matching the "carpet to the drapes!" We have a product here, I am sure you have it too, called "Betty, for the hair down there!" When it first came out and they were flogging it on home shopping I had the tune "Woah Black Betty Bam Alam" playing in my head! LOL They do it fluro colors!

I love the plan for the Princess, and you having your ears pierced again. Bec just had hers done again after a terrible experience at 16 with an infection. She refused to wear earings after that, but just recently she called me to say she had gone into a mixed business called "Off Your Tree!" a Bong Shop, and immaculate piercing salon, who'd have thought. She sent me a picture of "Steffan", the Master Piercer, who must never travel because he wouldn't make it through airport security, there was so much metal on this guy, it was fascinating. Anyhoo, Steffan looked after Bec very well, even showed her his piecings that were, well, off limits. He explained how to take care of her new ear holes, and she's been back to show him her new obsession... earrings...she must have 100 pairs and is constantly looking for more. I know, I know she gets that trait from me.

Well it seems that the hair cutting is some kind of right of passage. I don't remember doing it to myself, but my Barbie dolls suffered! I  always  wanted to do hairdressing, made it through 2 years, but the allergies were killing me.

I love gB's story, did you catch, "Her then Husband!" it's not just me!

I am still smiling over the kids insisting they asked you if they could cut hair. I'll bet they did too, and you would have nodded yes to anything! That's wonderful!

I haven't heard if the rocks are available yet. I don't know when the new owners will be back at the house, and I don't know when the bulldozer is booked either. I'll just keep an eye out for them, and hopefully I can do a deal. These are such beautiful river stones, and hard to get. We got some lovely big local granite for the landscaping on the other side, but there were already quite a few river rocks in the other garden, that I just want to continue that theme out there. If it is meant to be, it will work out.

Wren, I am wondering where you'll be going for your Birthday  too. Have you decided yet?

I love the story about your haircut too. Especially about stuffing it into the crayon box, yeah that'll work! LOL

Zills, I hope your stomach is feeling better today.Did your Sister do the bathrooms?

I thought about you when I found my QuickEze at the supermarket in town. I don't know what genius thought Orange Flavor would be good for reflux? Duh, I hate the flavor, but it still works. The Peppermint is fantastic, but hard to find. I bought 10 packs today, and asked my local supermarket to try stocking it.

Well, my day started early with the gardener arriving with a trailer load of soil for my new planters and a couple of others that I have never filled properly. His wife is in Europe with their Daughter,  she usually works with me while he does the heavy stuff and the mowing.  We got nearly everything done, but I still have to actually plant out the big bowls. It was so windy and threatening to rain so I have just placed the pots of succulents on the dirt to get a feel for how I want them to be.

I had to go into town to return a couple of items to Aldi. I had my first, almost, altercation! I bought this stuff yesterday, tank tops, but when I tried them on, they were too small. Low and behold, the only time I want to return something, and I cant find the receipt. I looked everywhere, even through the garbage, don't we love doing that? Anyway, the sales assistant glared at me when I told her, and said she could not do anything without a receipt. Crap, I only bought these yesterday, and I am a good customer. I will be back on Saturday to buy two folding bikes! (Another story!) She aquiesced, called the Manager, and he said he'd do it "just this once". It took all my strength not to say, "F off!", I am not a child to be admonished.

Anyway, got my money back and had take out for lunch, back home, and another drama begins. I opened the fridge to put everything away and it looks like there is a Dexter episode happening in there. Just this morning I found, Blood drops on the floor???? Thought Dex was bleeding. Checked his paws and my bare feet, but nothing. This afternoon, however, the frozen berries that had defrosted, when Colin didn't shut the freezer properly after getting an icecream, (another story). They had deposited juice, that leaked from the bag, into every nook and cranny of the fridge, from the top shelf all the way to the bottom. I had to empty everything out and even every glass shelf, every runner, every item was sticky and blood red. I have just finished that and had to wash the floor too. To top it all off, I have to eat all the berries in the next few days to get rid of them. I will be living on smoothies and pancakes!

Hopefully, tomorrow I will get the pots planted out.

    It is 6pm and I am ready for bed...cheers everyone....M x

Sounds like everyone is busy. I've wondered if doing too much aggregates my stomach. Laid in bed most of yesterday.

Received sad news another friend passed away. She was there for my first chemo. I greatly admired her strength and spirit. Another funeral to miss. That's 4 this summer.

Yes bobo I'm eating. It's worse if I don't. Something small every two hours. Getting to the point (again) F! the SEs and eat whatever. I'm going to pay no matter what. Pizza sounds good right now but it's day 7. About time. I'm supposed to have a girls weekend.

Fall festival time. The shops downtown stay open late and Main Street is blocked. Have my eye on some pillows for the couch. Then Sat is a twice a year antique festival at a local church. Cool stuff on the grounds and great grub. Will probably to take the baby. She's been ever since she was born. Hoping my GF will pick us up so I can conserve energy.

My DH would probably like Dexter but I'm staying away from dark twisty stuff right now. No night monsters for me.

Never heard about the Betty stuff and fluorescent colors. Oh my. They make glow in the dark condoms so why not? I took sex and violence in college. Don't know what the real course names were. Sex class brought in every type of contraceptives available to pass around. Even had a banana when peeled that was a penis to demonstrate proper condom technique.

I could sneek out and get groceries while I feel decent but afraid someone would wake up and miss me. The cupboards are bare except for cereal, cheese, apples and ketchup/pickles and gummies. Does that cover the basic food groups? DH picked up some bread but didn't read the label. Contains milk and possibly tree nuts. Arggg.

Speaking of which, it's National Talk Like a Pirate day. Was big deal with the Maint guys and now a big deal at DS preschool. Train them young!

I believe the cat has Dex's allergies. She was sneezing last night and hid all day between the barberry bush and porch. Maybe it was warm and safe from the kittens.

Baby snotting, boy coughing and DH thinks he has a cold. I don't want any! At least she can blow her nose. It took the boy forever to learn.

Ahoy mateys. Have a good day.

Arrgh..Ahoy...Shiver me timbers...that's as pirate as I can get.even tho I feel like I'm walking the plank. Just a touch of pneumonia, and I sound like a 5 pack a day 90 year old smoking drag queen. I answer the phone and the telemarketers say, "Good morning, sir" Pictures of the a$$ are out of the question, it has been erased off the crazy OGs phone, and hopefully off the TV/X-box. Now I need to confiscate the security tapes from the therapy lab. DS2 made the trip to therapy with us Tues he is 10 months old very very very very active and most curious. While I was trying to hold the little octopus, he discovered beading on my shirt, evidently he also discovered that grams tatas didn't feel like his moms, so he went in to investigate! Quick as a wink he pulled out the neck of my shirt with one tiny hand and plunged in with the other, first stop "the hole" I'm trying to wrestle his tiny hands out of my shirt, trying to control his out of control legs, regain my modesty, when I discovered that foobs and the bra do not stay in place during arobic activity's. One was pointing north east, the other south west, the chest was a discombobulated mess. Little Houdini was plopped into his car seat on the floor while I attempted to fix the mess, he immediately flipped on his tummy, onto his knees, then stood to begin to learn to surf. I bent to grab him by the elastic of his jeans, so he didn't go sailing across the waiting room, which exposed the hole, and one bra cup that was now up under my chin, that's when an elderly couple entered the waiting room, both of them audibly gasped, at that point I was beyond upset. I flipped him back on his butt, put my foot, GENTLY, on his body to hold him in place, sat up and without thought to this poor couples vantage point, shoved the left one back into the neck of my shirt, shoved the right one which by this time was hanging out of its pocket into my armpit back into the bra, pulled up the now stretched out of shape neck of my shirt in place and just smiled. From now on I shall just be flat!

Zills, fall festival time is the best. So hope you are feeling well this weekend so you can have some girl time. If you have cereal and gummies there's no need to worry about going food shopping, no one will starve with those food groups covered.

Be back shortly, need to do a breathing treatment. Hugs

Aaaaarrr me hearties! That's all I know in Pirate! I have never heard of talk like a Pirate day....cute!

You're up very early Zills, I hope the stomach is ok.

So sorry to hear the news about your friend Zills.

Festival time sounds lovely. I love that kind of stuff. We used to go to the Vietnamese Festival for Chinese New Year every year. It was so much fun.

Everyone around here is sneezing. There is a virus that has knocked a few out, and the allergies are taking a toll on the others. I have never had hay fever, but I have been sneezing in the morning when I get up all week, but it passes as the day goes on. I hope the kids get better and you don't pick it up. Take it easy.... I'm backkkk..now to see how many wrong letters I hit with shaking fingers. Inhaling steroids is wonderful . Not.

Sweet dreams M. Hope you rest well. Fluorescent hair down there? Hummm For those partners that need a shiny sign in the right direction? For those partners .....oh never mind...I'm headed to the gutter...

Gb..more than one short trip might be better than trying to do it all in a big trip. I still hit the wall often. Then promptly hit the sofa to rest. In fact I see that in my near future. Just had a short visit with the octopus again. His mom and I decided for his safety and her sanity it would be best if she turned the pack and play upside down and put him underneath.

Bobo, so glad that you are seeing the BS. Hoping you have answers soon, this has gone on so long for you its no wonder you have lost so much weight. Its time to put the stress to rest. Is there any child who hasn't given themselves a new hairdo? All of mine did at least once. In later years I heard a scream coming from the bedroom and discovered that DS2 had pierced DDs belly button. She asked for money to have it done, I refused saying it was a waste of money, so they took that to mean it was okay as long as no one had to be paid. Wrong.

Time to clean, get ready to cook yet another birthday dinner this time for DIL. Hugs Be back later.

Gramwe, you have the absolute best stories and such a great way of telling them... you should be writing a book!

Zills, hope your tummy gets better and have a great girls weekend.

Bobo, good stories, I think most kids decided at one point in their young lives to cut hair, my 2 boys both did it, later in life tho, I used to tell the older one, please get that hair cut and then a few years later with the younger son, let your hair grow some.. all different times I guess, who would have thought when I was a kid that all the young men would be shaving their head bald??

Been busy, have to catch up reading alot here. Have a good day all.

OMG!  Lyme disease!?  I believe there can be a holistic component to the care of the doggie.  I would ask an osteopath.  Poor thing.

Granwe, you have me laughing out loud with your talk of southwest foobs and holes and glow in the dark snatches.  That touch of pneumonia has not slowed you down in some respects.  I am afraid idesim and I will insist that you take another American fanny picture -- since that one has been erased -- because we both already have a spot for it on our respective refrigerators.  Are you feeling any better?

Ariom, it was as if you composed the ideal cheer-up letter for me.  Bec's piercing story-- in which she saw some special 'down there' piercings, plus WHOA black betty/bam a lam flash of infomercial, PLUS a small fight at Aldi?!  I was in heaven!  Really they need to watch the way they speak to you.  You are not a child.

This on a day in which it was most needed.  Our princess is having some seizure 'activity.'  If she's well, I'm well.  If she's not well, I'm not well.  And that's the way that goes.

Home now after school and she seems fine.  She had a great day.  I pumped her full of baby food packets full of organic sweet potatoes and squash and omegas, and then gave her some cool water.  Now making her dinner.  Beer moi!

    Morning all!

Gramwe, we must have posted together last night. I missed that story, but absolutely loved it when I got up this morning.

The description of the foobs and the squirming baby were priceless. I think just one Mx bra with pockets is in order for such visits, so you can at least guarantee the foobs can stay where they are intended, while tiny hands are investigating inside your shirt!

I am so sorry about the Pneumonia, it's very unpleasant. If you are able to Olive Leaf Extract, there is nothing like it for respiratory problems. Hopefully, you'll get used to the meds and the shaking will disappear.

I admire you so much gramwe! You're a dynamo, no matter what is going on with you, you can always pull a great birthday dinner out of the hat! I don't know how you do it. look after yourself..M x

Bobo, just had to go away for a while, but am devastated that our Princess is having "Activity" I am not sure what that entails, but it doesn't sound good.

Glad to hear you are both home and she has had a great day. That's what's you want to hear!

I am glad you liked Bec's piercing story, she tells it better than I do, she has a very comical turn of phrase. She's going to be needing an "EarringMoire" soon.

I hope you will have a quiet weekend, take some relax time for all of you, you deserve it.  M x

ndgirl, sorry to hear about the dog and the Lyme Disease. I had to look it up too, but found an interesting part of it. I was Dx with Rheumatoid Arthritis after a trip to Kuala Lumpur. They initially thought it was Degue Fever, but it turned out to be RA. They tested me and said I had likely been bitten by a Tic or a Flea which started the process. Never any mention of Lyme disease.

It sounds like the dog has the arthritis part of it in the paw though. I do hope there is a treatment for it. I would be very interested to hear how it all goes.

How are you doing? Any new "acoutrements". I told you of the new weighted foam foob, didn't I. I love it and it is perfect in the Marika crop/sports bra. Just enough weight to hold in place, but not so light it rides up. I am starting to break out the Summer wardrobe, putting away the heavy sweaters and boots. I am finding I have a lot more clothing options this season. Take care M x
