I have a comfort cat. She's a Russian Blue and I read that breed has been known to comfort crying babies. Whenever I'm crying, she comes right over and starts rubbing against me. It's like animals have this crazy 6th sense!

catlady, I have a cat also. Before I was diagnosed, she was following me around like crazy. She would not let me out of her sight. She would also sit on my feet. I believe they do have a 6th sense.

My sweet Princess is now 6 months old. Her daddy agrees that its time to start looking into having her "fixed" so we won't have grandkittens. Since all the snow has melted and the birds and squirrels have started returning to the backyard, she has taken to watching them and "talking" to them. I never thought I would hear that after her elder "brother" Charcoal went to Heaven. She still pesters her poor dog "brother" Jackson to bits, but at least when they "play" he is careful with her, she has landed a few good smacks to him with her paws. They are a hoot to watch when they get going.

Slow - we think we figured it out - Dozer think the deer are other weird looking dogs. He just wants to go play - he does the same thing with other dogs. We still have an issue but I say Dozer - other room! and he stops and goes. At this point all I have to do is get up from my desk chair and he lays down - (but whines about it). DH gave me a break today and took him to the office with him :-) I pick him up after I go shopping and will bring him home with me.

Well that makes sense that he would want to play. I'm glad he is listening to your commands. hahaha....he can whine all he wants as long as he listens. My old guy grumbles when he doesn't like something. He's like a grumpy old man. I'm so glad you got him!!

M0mmy - had to laugh about Princess smacking Jackson a few times. My Mikey the Min Pin lived with cats in his former home - he must have gotten too feisty one time as he has a large scar across the top of his nose courtesy of one of the cats. That taught him in a hurry to respect their limits!

We have a double recliner that has an issue where my DH used to sit. I put a blanket on it last night and look who found a new spot this morning LOL!

Yes, that blankey was Tiggers favorite blanket too.

LOVE the dog rules for humans and all of them are so true!  We are still so very sad after losing our little Bentley in October.  Our girl Bella is doing pretty good alone but sometimes I wonder.  Thought I would add to the photos and share a picture of our girl!  Happy Easter everyone!

Someone brought their dog in Safeway and ask if they

could weigh it on the cashier weighing fruit  scale so she

would know what weight for flea drops. And then ask the

bakery, Deli, and fruit scales. They all said no. She make us

look bad cause she had a paper inside the cart. Faith was

very good even through she came by mad. What a day.

Faith is by my feet, and loves each day.

Princess is one feisty little girl. Jackson loves his "baby sis". He gets all excited when I ask him where's "sissy".

That is a great pic of Dozer in the chair.

foots, that is just gross. I'm so glad they said no.

Such great pics of the dogs.

Mommy, I don't think I've seen a picture of Jackson or Princess? Have you posted one? I'd love to see them both!

This is his normal position when DH isn't home. I did take him out to the park. First time, just the two of us. He still pulls but did very well.

Task of the day since its such a great day, acclimate my sweet Princess to the pleasantness of an open window on a nice Spring day.

hahaha Mommy.....sounds perfect. There is nothing like an open window on a spring day....with a light breeze blowing through....the scent of a fresh cut lawn!!

She's a little skittish around the windows being open yet.
Grass is just starting to green up here.

Thought you would get a laugh - before and after pictures of Dozer's new toys. DH took the time on the first one and the Pink toy is still in one piece - Finally found something that he couldn't shred LOL.

He is still chewing on the outside shell - but all stuffing and squeaker - Gone!

lol Looks a bit like when my babies were small,
especially Jackson. He would tear holes in all his cheap toys. I finally ended up getting him toys that I could repair if he tore a hole in it!

I have better luck with latex toys. They get slimed, Kris can't get the squeakers out. The hard plastic or rubber toys he can and does destroy real fast. I buy cheap stuffed kids toys at yard sales for him. Just watch the eyes and noses on them.

I don't get any toys that have parts that Jackson can swallow. He loves the toys with squeakers that are in the stuffed toys though.
