    Thanks Lisa and Scottie.

Barbe, as a band director I had to know to play all the instruments. I loved flute. I own a flute but it needs a repad and I have not really touched any of my instruments in a very long time.

Scottie, how is your daughter doing at this point? Praying they don't find anything at her checkup and tests. I have actually taken a break from submitting photos to the newspaper because I wanted other people to have a chance to get in. Hopefully going to the butterfly house tomorrow for the last time before they close up shop for the season. I was supposed to go today and had another night of insomnia. Hope you can get that camera one day!

Thanks Barbe. Blue is my favorite color so I am partial to that one too. If it hadn't a big hole in it's wing I would have included that in my butterfly calendar which is about to go to the printer. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it works out.

Lisa, that hummer pix is fantastic. Mum. . .love the shots. I sooo want to travel again with my DSLRs. My major travel shots are all with the old film cameras.

Finally, got to the blue morphos again yesterday. They were overly active and getting tattered, but I got a few shots.

Mums, love your shots from all over the world.

Scottie, love the Blue Morphos. Great shots! They are truly unbelievable the one and only time I saw them this summer. I stood there like a child seeing something beautiful for the first time. They don't even look real when they are flying.

Welcome JAnn, love your flower pic and your landscapes. Looking forward to more pics.

Jo, if you use the strap around your neck, you can use it as a brace for when the zoom in all out..Many times it works or just find something to use to steady your hand..sometimes that works for me..

Joanne, I haven't seen a turkey vulture in a long while. We used to go out boating with my sister's family and where they went camping we would seem them. They are huge and ugly. LOL I think that is the first turkey vulture I have seen on this thread. LOL You should post it on the bird watching thread too.

JAnn, love the big flowers. I had a lavender rose bush many years ago and I managed to kill it off in one season. I do love that color. I do have lots of roses now that I know they need hours of direct sunlight.
