I'm not sure where that is, we went to Wales to pick up a puppy and it wasn't that far from Bradenstoke.

Loving the overseas pics and the S. Cal waterlilies.
Scottie, you would love to see what they featured on one of the Chicago news stations today. They have only previewed it and they called it Panda Party. There were what looked like 20 baby pandas all grouped together. Adorable. I am still waiting to hear the story,
Well, ladies my very first photography project (butterfly calendar) is now in the print phase and is about to become a reality. I have a consignment shop lined up to sell them and looking to add another gift shop to carry the calendar. My desire is to share my photos with a wider audience and to share my story of hope. If I break even I will be happy and if I lose money it was a terrific learning experience for sure.

Nancy, I will have to look for that special. I'm totally bummed, They just announced that our 3yo Mei-hem twins are going back to China in Nov. Will have to set aside some weekends to photograph them before they go. We get daily updates on the new twins, but no word on what they are yet, it boys/girls.
Saturday, Dh and I will be spending the night in the middle of nowhere at the astronomy village where there will be plenty of astrogeeks who can finally help us use my telescope. Keeping my fingers crossed that it's a clear night for photographs and viewing.

Scottie,
The news on the panda party was taken in China and there were 24 big panda cubs all on this big green blanket with presumably vets and personnel watching along the sidelines. They were SO cute! You might be able to find it online. It was NBC Chicago nightly news station and it was just a minute clip of this event. I think they said there have been 28 cubs born in China this year. Too bad the twins have to go back. Good luck on your on your adventure with the astro geeks!

Joanne, that is what I call getting the last drop out of your flowers. Even if I had the room to do that I probably wouldn't so good for you. We have had pretty much nonstop rain so my idea of getting a last pic of my flowers before the frost does seems to be going out the window. I have never seen such a big hydrangea. Is that the one that is really old or am I thinking of another flower you had mentioned? It must be fun seeing all the array of different colors as the seasons change.

Saying goodbye to my flowers. I will be gone for quite a few days and they will probably not be in very good shape by the time I get back if frost has not gotten to them by then.

Lovely flowers! Tomorrow I hope to photograph Dd and her Bf with some fall color at our local state park. Last Saturday Dh and I had an amazing night watching the stars (got no sleep). Now I want and even better telescope. I had to put my camera on a tripod and was stuck with the settings I started with (12800 ISO) because I could not open up the viewer to change the ISO. Next time will take lower ISO shots over longer exposure time. Still got a few pixs.
Will also hook the camera to the telescope.

Love the pumpkins Lisa.
Scottie, I don't know anything about telescopes and astrophotography and how that works together but I hope you enjoy the journey. I imagine it is fascinating.
I am at my mom's now downstate. She will be celebrating her 91st birthday in a few days. It is gorgeous weather and the leaves are turning. I visited the nature center today to see if they still had all their hummingbird feeders up and they have taken them all in now. I cleaned and filled mine before leaving but there was not much activity happening the last few days. I still saw one hummer but I think most of them have migrated at this point. This was my first year for having a feeder and I have to say it was a thrill to watch them every day. I can't wait for next season to come.

Had lovely weather for an afternoon photo shoot at local State Park with Dd and Bf. Still playing with the best photos in Adobe Lightroom before I order metal or canvas prints and gifts for the holidays. This shot was taken with them sitting on rocks in the river.
