This is the first year I've had plants do well in this little bed.  Perhaps the metal flowers gave the real ones self confidence.  :)

Ananda, very pretty! I'm glad your metal flowers showed your real flowers how it's done 😊

Lucy, very good discription! I love it!

Beautiful rose with cactus. Love all the photos and progress stories.

Uncluttered my walker today and used it on deck to spade up three growing boxes, weed the thyme then go through my seed packets.

Tomorrow some more digging plus planting lettuce, beets and spinach.

    I am in there now!

Edited to answer question - on the patty pan squash, I slice it into three or four circles then sprinkle salt and pepper and fry in a nice oil.

From last year. Cannot wait for the zinnias and cosmos this summer.

Bluebird, what a beautiful bloom. Hopefully all of your flowers will be full of blooms very soon.

Ya'll have to stop chatting so much when I am not on the computer over the weekends. It took a while to catch up this morning. LOL I sneak on at work. sssshhhhhhh

Great pictures everyone. Enivera, love the potted plants. Bluebird, lovely picture! Wow, Jazzy! WenchLori, great to see how those plants are doing. That water feature would be lovely to sit by and just do nothing. Ananda, I have quite a few metal flowers too as they tend to be easier for me to take care of then the real thing. :-)

So my husband says "Hey, do you want to go camping?" I replied "Only if we have a mobile home." Here it is:

Ok, ok, just kidding in the last post. That is my old shed that is going bye bye. Here is what the guys put up yesterday with the new one. I can't wait to see it finished when I get home this evening. Woohoo! I am excited. It will be twice as large and I bet I can fill it up quickly! LOL

My husband has it on the trailer ready for delivery to anyone who wants it. How far is it from Oklahoma to Ontario? :-)

Bluebird, LOL!! Love your mobile home and your new shed! I need to get my DH to build a shed just for me. We've built two buildings so far and both are filled with his stuff lol

I planted 8 more pepper plants and my 7 strawberry plants today. I had to build a "bird trap" over my berry plants so I'll be the one eating all of the berries! I took off the frost blankets from my bales and my babies are twice as big today as they were yesterday. I have several bales that the seeds haven't sprouted yet. I'll wait a few more days and then replant them or just put my tomato plants in those bales. Rain is on the way again tonight so they'll get a good long drink at least. I'll get pictures tomorrow.

Wench, mine was sooo rusty and icky inside. Now I need shelves but hubby seems to have misplaced all his hammers and the wood. Hmmmmmm

Heidibird - congrats on your shed upgrade. Look forward to seeing the finished product.

WenchLori - We are fixing up a piece of property (old family home) for our retirement. First thing hubby suggested was we should build a garden shed for ME. Even asked me to draw up what I would want. Short story . . . it is 2 times bigger then I wanted, a garage door (I didn't want) and in a location I didn't want. I finally just threw in the towel and he is building HIS shed. When the time is right I'll get my dream garden shed. All I can say is "three is the charm" . . . sounds like you should get the next shed : )

Thanks gardennerd. I hope you can get your shed soon. It is amazing the things like this that excite me. My friends talk about new furniture and vacations and me-I want manure and a small tiller..and a shed. LOL Hubby got his shed about 14 years ago and it is huge and full! We also have a smaller shed that was starting to fall down when we bought the place but DH has patched things here and there making it last but also very friendly to snakes and possums. UGH . I told him to go ahead and replace that one. He wants a metal shed there and will build it himself. It won't be like his first one as this will just be a place to store the lawnmowers, the grandkids' 4 wheelers and the garden fencing etc. I was so shocked when he suggested that I think about replacing mine first. But it was the perfect time as he was wanting to move some of the privacy fence back making it easier to get out his trailer. My shed needed to be moved to do that...so....voila.

Looking forward to the pictures, Wench. I like new gardening ideas.

    Heidibird,

The gnomes are darling.  Perhaps I need to put a gnome near my bee water station. The bees land on the flat marbles and can take a drink without drowning.

Ananda, I agree! Great idea for your bee water station. I'm going to borrow that idea to. I can place it by my strawberry patch.

M0mmy, you must be getting our weather a few days later. It got down into the 30s last week. Lows in the 50s this week. Almost 80 today. Crazy weather!

Ananda, I like the idea of that watering bowl for the bees. I have large rocks in my bird bath but your idea is really cute and useful.

Lucy, I look forward to seeing your gnome picture. I have lots of solar lights. I am not home during the day to enjoy a flower garden. But I have lots of time at night to enjoy my solar garden. I am always on the lookout for new gnomes and new solar lights I don't have.

Wench, he's adorable and I don't have one that looks like him. I will be on the lookout. I used to get a few from a lady on Ebay who had a shop in Canada Gnomes just make me smile.

Red is a pretty big guy. The seat he sits on measure 20"x20". He was sitting on my DH's cousin's porch. I fell in love with him and she just gave him to me. I brought him home, scrubbed him clean and repainted him.

Lol luv both sheds. . .sometimes I love living in the suburbs and other times I wish we had lots more land. No sheds allowed for us as it would be visible from across our lake. Oh well.

I have quite a few that need to be repainted. I refuse to get rid of them just because of that so had them stored away in the old shed. The new one may be big enough that I can put a small table in there and paint away from our constant wind. Did you use a special paint?

Scottiemom, DH would be lost without his shed and me without mine. I love filling things up.

Heidi, I use an outdoor paint like patio paints I got from Micheals. They stand up to rain, sun and wind.
