    Good Morning Beautiful Crazies!!

    First things first.....

Rose, Good luck today on your tests! I hope your lipid profile and thyroid panel come out perfectly!! We will all be in your pocket today!!

Tang, Thinking about you. I hope you're able to check in soon.

Cenri,How are you doing? Any news on your birads 4 lesion?

Eggroll, Thinking of you. I hope the SNB site isn't too sore today.

Chevy, I know I'm supposed to listen to my elders, but how will I breathe with the compression stocking on my head?? Do I put breathing holes in it once it's on my head?? Don't you think people will mistake me for a cat burglar? I'm confused. Will it look something like this??

    image

WOW, that's a mighty big rock you tripped over! I sense a bit of exaggeration though. Come on...fess up....wasn't it more like this???

    image

It's ok....we don't judge here. MANY of us have balance problems - including me!!

Ducky, HAHAHAHAHAHA. I'm beginning to think you may be accident prone!! You seem to be falling and tripping A LOT! We may have to take away your red solo cup. hahaha

Shorfi, You're so very kind. Thank you!! Your grandbabies are beautiful!! Wow...look at those big, beautiful eyes. You're a very lucky woman. I'm sorry you're in so much pain. Chronic pain is just awful. I hope the surgery is successful for you! Please keep us updated so we can all climb in your pocket when you have your surgery.

Gaia, I'm so excited for your get together. It's such a wonderful experience meeting your BCO sisters.

PTS, I hope the acupuncture IS working for you. I'm still pretty irritated that Medicare cut you off on the PT visits.

Octo, You lucky woman! I love that area by Pacific Grove. My DH did his basic training in Monterey when he was a young lad, so we used to visit there often. Haven't been that way since my diagnosis though. Safe travels to you!! I hope you continue to keep the heartburn and nausea away! WOW....that is a really big step going comando in front of your DH. So glad you were able to do it. I was the same way towards the end. The heat was so bad I just didn't care who saw me anymore. Your DH sounds like a keeper!!!!

Katy, I did do gentle massage last night and will continue until I talk to the MO. I'm going to ask to be referred to a specialist for evaluation. The more I read, the more I think that's what it may be. I hope you're doing well today. You were on my mind last night as I was drifting off to sleep. Wondering how the adjustment in meds was helping you?? So awesome that you got a $60 credit!! That's like gold to a book lover. I think Iris is right, you may have a new career!! We are all so proud of you!!!

Ok, crazies....time for me to get something done. It's Friday!!!!! Hope you all have a peaceful, pain-free day. Love to all....quiet crazies too!!!!

Slow - yes there are problems w/the search function since the last update. Mods are working on it. Below is the Grrrrr thread. I hope you do get to see an LE PT. It's much easier to learn MLD in person w/hands on training.

Chevy- on my knees in apology/I'm not worthy position. Giving credit where it's due. But I like the idea of flying to Philly to punish Ducky for my mistake!

Beppy, can I borrow an " I'm not worthy" men from you?

    Hee

Hey!! Don't make me get out my wooden spoon!! haha....My mom used to beat the crap out of me with that spoon!! Italian women have BAD tempers.

It sure would be interesting to see what punishment Chevy wound dole out to Ducky though!! HAHAHA...With Chevy tripping over rocks and Ducky falling into cars, how bad can it be????

In Crazy Town, everyone is WORTHY and NO ONE makes mistakes!!!!! Remember???....it's our SAFE place.

And so what did she say? That she soaks in the tub? WHO in the hell can get in the TUB, much less OUT??? I mean people actually take baths anymore? I don't think I would like to try that....! I mean getting in and out of the shower is scary enough! Man, I hold onto everything I can find! One time, right after my leg thing, I caught my bad foot on this stupid hose thing, and I fell out of the tub! DH came running, and I was too slippery to pick up.... not that he COULD have, so I finally rolled over and pulled myself up on the tub, and made it out..... all the way..... blood running down my leg onto my foot, onto the floor and out the door.... I am not safe to be around....

No slow! NO! Order those compression stockings, for your LEGS! They are not lovely, and you need a class on how to put them on.... best to go to a medical supply place..... And buy a donner while you are at it!

And yes, my own personal rock-fall was more like this one...

    image

I just plain didn't see it.... so I tripped, and twisted my ankle... and you should have seen my ARM!!! Ducky just slips silently out of a car door... not disturbing anyone.... and a tow-truck comes and picks her up.... she stops for a Star-bucks on the way home....

I found the picture of Ducky "falling" out of the car.... the truth is....... The car rejected her.... more like "ejected" her....

Chevy you are a pistol. and Ducky those are some gams on you LOL

Oh ladies I have accomplished very little today. Oh well.

Talked with two friends that had yet to know of my 'situation', gues that took a lot of energy.

Gonna walk out and catch some of the day now.

Octo have a great retreat and it is so sweet and good that you finally freed yourself from the headcovering. Your DH definitely sounds like a keeper. Again really moved by your sharing.

Katy you chili sounded good. I finished the last of the chicken root veg soup yesterday. Tomorrow I'm going to make the wild mushroom soup! Great about the review and the $60 credit. books are so nourishing

Slow Italian women and their wooden spoons.... a classic. My grandmother was notorious with that. Sula did your mom wield the spoon?

Shorfi, your grandbabies are so sweet. I am sorry for the ongoing back issues. Keep us posted on what the spine center offers!

    more later gators

So what are "chicken-roots"? I'm watching the Chickens next door, but they don't have "roots"!!! They have cut back to laying maybe 1 egg a day now! Out of 6 hens, they come up with one egg? Yes, I know they still sell them at the store.... but it's just the idea!

Tomorrow morning, I'll go look to see if I can see their "roots"..... I mean even the Cat doesn't have "roots"....

And what is this...." ALBONDIGAS- going through the pneumatic tube to Octo at her seaside cottage" ..... Am I just dense or what? That probably is code for something that I don't know about..... Are you making up words now?

Slow! You are Italian? Aw geez..... ! I'm married to one.... Did your Mom talk loud? All the women in "his" family talked so loud, so the neighbors can hear every conversation.... and did you ever eat chicken-feet? THEY did! And "aqua-zohl"....??? That is a skillet of water, with chopped onions, then water, until boiling, then slowly slide in an egg, cook until set, and put it all on a hard piece of Italian bread! I still love this........ We've been married for over 58 years.... most of you guys aren't even that old... Loopy We "went together" for almost 2 years before we got married... He was almost 20.... Hah! I was much older .... 4 1/2 months.... But "it worked."

Hey, we've hit the 100 page mark! (Possibly due to Thelma and Louise, er, I mean Chevy and Ducky!)

Katy, I'm so proud of you for your review! And jealous--I've never been to the Oregon Powells. There is--or was--a much smaller branch in Chicago when I lived there a million years ago. It was a wonderful used bookstore that I would go into and emerge hours later, dazed, confused, bearing a stack of books I probably couldn't afford.

Beppy, love the picture. You look like you sound, if that makes any sense!

Octo, have fun on your retreat.

Shorfi, love the little ones. Hope everyone's back pain magically disappears. (Magicinsurance.com, free to all crazies.)

    Gaia, see you soon!

Had my delightful and expensive Herceptin/Perjeta cocktail this morning. If you need me over the weekend, you'll find me Sunday afternoon at the New York Police Department breast cancer "awareness event" in the park across the street. I'll be the crankypants wearing the crocheted fake boobs and asking questions about where the money they're raising (assuming they're raising money and not just awareness) is going. If you see me being dragged away in pink handcuffs, please call a lawyer. Or my husband.

    A delightful weekend to all!

Oregon Powell's: a) different store/group than Chicago's version, though they're connected in some arcane non-business way (family members running independent stores?) and b) "OMB, I have died and gone to heaven." Once seen, it cannot be forgotten. Once perused, there can be no other store before it. (At one point, I had to resort to calling my husband on his cell phone to figure out where he was. That large a store.)

Falls: I send you ladies an ocean of liniment. I'm accident prone--only person I know who actually DID step on the tines of a rake, smacking myself in the forehead AND did a faceplant on the bathroom door upon slipping in a damp spot. Both produced the kind of bruises that prompt kind protective people who do not know my sweetie husband to whisper "Is your man treating you right?"
