That is good news Iris! Glad you can avoid the shot and the PT has improved things so much and they will give you another script! Between that and the pool maybe 2016 will be a truly healing year for you!

Mommy - sending you abig hug back.

Thanks I needed it. She nearly had me in tears and I had to hang up on her to keep from blasting her over all the crap she has pulled. Hubby just told me she berated him over everything that my brother and have done over the years, including me going to college and getting married. Hubby told her what my brother and I do is our business and he doesn't care if she likes it or not!

(((Mommy))) it always hurts worse when it comes from places it shouldn't. Like family. That's why having extended, chosen family like we have here is soimportant.

    hey there Crazies,

Mommy, so sorry you have to deal with that, especially right now. Good for your husband telling her off, he's got your back and that's great! Jack is so right about family vs chosen family.

There is an old Itslian saying... "Christmas is for family, Easter is for the people you like." It has to do with invitations but I always have felt that we make our own families and they are not always blood.

Tom and Shorfi, hope the shots work great for you both!

I am sitting in a Drs waiting room right now and it's not for me!!!!! Husband is getting his yearly physical. It is so amazing being in an office and it doesn't involve me removing an article of clothing. I shall savor this.

Slow, hope you are taking it slow and feeling better soon.

Well, off to peruse what's up with everybody in the room

Almost forgot my food porn... Gluten free vegan macarons w/ chocolate filling...shoot! Won't load

    Hey all -

I am so right there with the crying. I am chalking it up to being off Zoloft after many years to accommodate the Tamoxifen. I started crying today at the LE therapist when talking about whether or not I would go back to work, or get back to my own writing. Sigh.

I have my first post-treatment appt with my MO tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it being uneventful.

It's nice to see things settling down here in CT. :)

The fact is we're all in some stage of PTSD, as JerseyGirl so kindly pointed out and others have echoed. It comes up over and over: we just can't ever go back to the way it was before. There are the visible scars, but almost worse are the ones you can't see.

Which is why it is such a hokey, doofusy thing, but I do love it when someone posts some magical element of everyday life, whether about grand babies or foodity-food-food-food or Cajun dancing or dogs or whatever. Because it's a reminder that life is still here for us, even if it's hard to touch. And so we're lucky, eh? That is today's sappy observation. Feel free to throw rotten tomatoes. Thank you.

Shorfi, thanks for sharing your story about your mom. What a good thing you did, even though it sounds as if it must have sapped so much energy for a long time. Love the idea that you found your man in the middle of it all.

Mommy, true about the hugs helping the hugger.

Octo, so great about being invited to write a chapter. Don't suppose you can offload some of the work you don't love onto someone else?

Celebrating with Blondedoris, Cubbie, Molly, Proud over good scan results and dr. visits. And the end of rads (Eggroll)! 7of9, very smart to keep walking in those last days before surgery.

Queen, are you seeing any operas in Chicago?

And hi to everyone else, Sula, Molly, Lucy, Pennsygal, Katy, Gaia, the sagacious Ducky, Tomboy, and our SLOW Mayoress (even if temporarily emeritus)!

Last night, I cooked for the first time from the Jerusalem cookbook. These are mighty complicated recipes. Made eggplant stuffed with bulgur and loaded with many herbs and spices. I think these are going to be weekend ventures in future, at least for a while. Lots of little steps. But delicious.

May you all have delicious evenings.

Marie711, thanks, I did try that about 5 times. I have done it before! My avatar used to have a different name, and I changed it a few months back. It just won't do it, now. I did change/delete some other things, but it won't let me change that! Yoiks!

Ok.! I guess it didn't like the other GREAT name I picked, so until I can pick another name, I shall remain: kittylitter. Cause it's sort of how I feel today! Hopefully, I will feel better tomorrow, and can think a better one?

I just found out my man's sis has breast cancer. She is going in for a lumpy on friday, and will find out more then. They caught it early, and nodes are clear, thats all I have heard so far.

Tomorrow and tonight, could everyone keep Beppy in their pocket, pretty please, chocolat on top?

I guess it's time to talk about a problem I've been having. When a member of Crazytown needs all of the crazies for backup, are we in that member's pocket? Or are they in our pocket? I keep posting it wrong way round and having to fix it. Unless the original way was right. Are we all kangaroos or something?

kangaroos or those cute Australian guys with big pockets. What are they called?

If Slow needs us, we all head to Slow's pocket. She has us in her pocket. The person who needs help has the rest in her pocket. I am in Slow's pocket, I believe I could conjugate this verb: "in pocketness"

Dang what are those animals called?

    OH yes

Now that would be a good username. Hahaha.

Got it. Slow goes to doctor, we all climb in her pocket.

Dunno why I'm so dense about it.

Cute Australian guy: I think Hugh Jackman comes to mind more readily than koalas. But, okay, I know what you mean!

Rainny: no opera this time--next up is Rosenkavalier in March (long gap for us this season). This was an anti-crazy trip for us, a little quieter than it might have been, as I was still recovering from the Galloping Greeny Gray Lung Icckkk that Ate Cleveland. But a trip to the Art Institute, and a couple of spa treatments (gift certificates)

Katy: I'll take Jumbo Sized Koala pocket, thanks. But thinking SlowDeep needs a significant gusset in her pocket for tomorrow.
