hmmm. The gift that keeps giving.......back from foot doc, she did that nerve test on feet and back, yeap neuropathy in both feet not sure what caused it till I mentioned cancer stuff. So neuropathy is confirmed along with a pinched nerve in back
Can I say nuts to all but least I have a better diagnosos

Thanks, Lori, I wonder what the gyno doc would say. I have to see her sometime soon just for a check up. I detest that. I don't want to go back to that hospital, but until I get a new one, I will see her one last time. It isn't her, it's the surgeon I had there.
I wish we could gather all those who told any of you that you got "the good cancer" in one room. Let them explain exactly what they mean by that. There is no such thing.
Ducky, that's right, you are the bestest. I think you may have been a naughty girl. Probably still are.
Iris, speaking about the neuropathy, during chemo, I got bad tingling, pins and needles in my hands partway up my arms, sensitive to heat on my feet and hands, and a rash that went up my hands and arms, and on my face (I was lovely). Since treatment ended, I have gotten the tingling occasionally, sometimes worse that other times, like the past few days. Is that a continuing "gift" from the chemo? Will it some day go away? They prescribed gabapentin for it, which worked. I wonder if I should see if my MO would prescribe it again, so when I need it I will have it, or is it something you can go on and off of without problems?
M0mmy, I love black cats so much, what is your kitty's name? Our last black cat was Binx after the movie cat.

Hello, everyone! Things have been crazy busy at work and home, so I haven't had time to do much more than read. I've tried to stay away from the crazy, but every little thing worries me. Molly, I totally sympathize with your thought that you can't do this anymore.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA - Just found out my revision surgery is scheduled for next Tuesday. PS told his assistant he wanted me to have first dibs on the first opening...... And Yes Lucy, I sent a email to the doc to ask about the pre approval and this is what I got. In a bit of panic mode....

lcm- The kitty in my pic is my beloved Charcoal who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in Nov. 2014 from kidney failure. About a week after his passing I got a kitten (another black one), but this one is a girl who goes by Princess. At times she is nothing like her name at all, that is when I call her my Demon Child! Love her anyway though! Her "big brother" is Jackson, a Sheltie. He is so good with her, just like he was with their "older brother" Charcoal who he grew up with from puppyhood.

Aww, sorry about Charcoal. We have three dogs and three cats. Our Maine Coon and our German Shepherd/Lab mix are inseparable like that. When you see Bailey the dog, Charlie is never far away. Charlie loves dogs, and sometimes I think he isn't sure he isn't part dog. He is fearless and growls at strangers.

I don't have any pets of my own but I've adopted a stary white and grey cat that comes to my patio door when he is hungry. I used to call it Mama but after closer inspection with my binocs I realized it is a tomcat so I named him Bob. Tom was just to usual for a stray tomcat. I'll try to get a picture of him, he's pretty handsome
I also have lots of raccons and possums that visit to eat the corn I put out for them. I call my deck door my "redneck tv" I love to sit and watch all the wild critters come to eat at night. My DH was concerned about them being so close to the house. He was ok with it once I mentioned corn fed racoon being so tasty. Now I don't think I have the heart to eat any of them, after all they all have names now
I have deer that come to the front yard morning, noon and night. The only one I've named is George the big buck, we can't eat him either!

interesting info on the med for foot nueropathy, doc suggested I talk to my primary care doc as she knows best about my drug problems, he said the meds have their own side effects, gee surprise but plan on showing my pcd the report

Glutamine? Wonder if glutamate would be similarly therapeutic. Glutamate is what is responsible for the “fifth taste,” umami--or “savory.” Mushrooms, aged Parmesan, meat, tomatoes, etc. Then there’s MSG. If MSG reactions are less bothersome than chemo side effects, perhaps chemo patients should consider ordering out for Chinese food.....with meat & mushrooms.

My grandson and grandaughter went to the prom tonight..........he is a Senior...it was his prom......my grandaughter is a Freshman, and she was asked by my grandson's best friend to go with him.......he is a Senior.........they look short to me cause they are both so tall but the picture doesn't show that...haha......He is 6ft 3, and she is 5 foot 9............LOL0 -

I have been away on a FABULOUS trip to Brooklyn/Manhattan and just returned to see my AMAZING AWESOME TOTALLY APPROPRIATE welcome basket! Thank you! I love everything about it.
Last year when we went to New York I was in between my DX and MX and it kind of sucked. I was a ball of nerves. And my husband screwed up and asked me if there was anything I wanted to get off my sexual bucket list because "everything is going to change." (It hasn't. I'm a pro. Well, you know what I mean.)
So it was great to go after getting my 1st year all clear. And I didn't think about cancer THE WHOLE TIME! I was too busy walking miles, making jewelry, finding my way around on the subway, eating delicious food, sitting in cafes, exploring Harlem with new friends, and drinking all the delicious things.
My feet hurt though. Oh boy do they hurt.
It was worth it.
Again, thank you all for the warm welcome. OBGYN and BS appointments next week. We shall see what transpires with regard to Tamoxifen, my lovely HUGE fibroid, possible hysterectomy (not interested), tubal ligation??? Oh boy!
I hope everyone has a FANTASTIC weekend. I for one can't wait to get back to the gym (did I mention I ate A LOT?), go hiking with my dog, celebrate my oldest son's 14th birthday (wow!), and spend some time house hunting. (Yup, that's pretty exciting.)

Checking in. I'm on my third AI now. Tried femara and exemestane. They made me exhausted, as in sleep 14 hours a day and still be tired. I'm now on anastrozole and feel so much better. Much more energy. Which means I still feel tired, sore and so on... but so far it's tolerable... unlike my experience on femara and exemestane. The only thing is that I have less patience for stupid stuff and stupid people. On second thought, maybe that's a side effect of cancer!
My gyno doesn't want to take out my ovaries. She said it's not standard practice to remove them when BC is hormone dependent. Don't know how I feel about that, but I have too much on my plate to worry about it too much.
Saw my endocrinologist for my 6 month follow up. Scheduled Monday for an ultrasound of my thyroid to see if those pesky nodules are growing.
And my mother is being her usual over-dramatic self. She is having some issues with her parathyroid and is throwing a shit-fit over simple dxa scans and blood tests. She better STFU about her "major" "painful" and "scary" tests, or I may totally lose it!!!! Good thing I got the "Good Kind of Cancer"!
Welcome WenchLori! Your screen name is cracking me up! Redneck TV! I have one, too. We have bunnies, squirrels, raccoons, opossums, skunks, foxes, coyotes, and bobcats in our yard. One spring night I had a group of about 10 girlfriends over. The mama skunk was leading her babies around the yard looking for snacks. My friends all spilled out into the yard to get a "closer look". I ran for my video camera! The mama skunk spared them, though I can't imagine why!
Love the pets. I have Nitro a blind, diabetic lab and Wiley the husky. Four guinea pigs (Ninja, Gigi, Popcorn and Butterfinger). The guinea pigs are potty trained and love to snuggle.
Love prom pics. A group of kids met at our place before prom this year. I'll have to look around for some photos.
Did I mention that I am nesting??? It's a little scary. My kids are now 18, 16 and 13. Could it be a convergence of no more little kids in the house and kids going away to college? I'm buying stuff, redecorating, and so on. We are talking couches, wall décor, paint. My DH is quite concerned.
See... Crazy Town is where I belong!
