Celebrating clear scans and tests, want to add my echo showed improved LEVF.. now 69% up from 63% so carry on Herceptin for another 3 months.
So sorry for the loss of fur babies, they are family!
Loving the pics of the grands, such sweet cheeks, bright eyes and happy smiles.

Ducky, dang! How many kids did you have?

Rose,
Congrats on the good test results, hopefully mine will be good too andI'll be going ahead with my herceptin on Friday as usual

rosesrx awesome on the improved ejection fraction! Mine actually went from 57 to 65 while doing Herceptin - go figure! I asked my doctor and she said, and I won't do a great job of explaining, that since I continued to do heavy exercise during chemo, it was akin to doing altitude training or some type of heavy training. So when chemo ended, it was like I had been doing double exercise and a side benefit was improved ejection fraction.
Whatever the reason, I will take it!

Wow Ducky I have chills at that photo. amazing
and italychick those little chickadees are gorgeous
I've been reading and mainly 'lurking' this week as this feed does go fast and I am just still getting my bearings with bone mets and of course all the other 'cancers' that must be rolling into shore.
So just want to say that think of each of you as I read the posts but, mind still whirling too much to be as thoughtful as I want.
SLOW: a warm embrace and sending love to you as you gently and graciously let Baylee go.
As my very real deal /wise acupuncturist suggested to me today: we are all in the process of becoming more profound

Slow - so sorry about Baylee. Sending hugs.
Topricin - Thanks for the back up recommend Tomboy. Someone on another thread said you can get it at CVS & Walgreens too. I haven't tried yet.

Slow so sorry about Baylee it is really hard. We had to say goodbye to our beautiful old cat last week and I am still crying for him.
Barbabas was nearly eighteen but he was really sick and collapsed one evening so had to go to the emergency vet. She was lovely and so wonderful with him but we knew it was time. The picture was taken awhile ago. Its so hard to lose our furbabies.
Ducky and Italychick love the photos.
Big hugs to all

Ducky and T- Beautiful Grandchildren, and fistfuls of reasons to live!
Rose- wonderful news on your improved echo.
Sula, with you waiting on your results.
I found a little logo for the newspaper. It's a bigtop hahaha! 🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪🎪
And I'm working in my first Dear Rainny letter. I think I need a few more things 'splained to me, and you do offer up such wise and comforting content.
Gaia- I want you to know that I have been in your pocket all week. I think of you all the time, trying to process what you are dealing with. Of course, I cannot come close to understanding, but I am sending you love and mojo constantly, like a morphine drip. Don't worry about keeping up. Depending on life circumstances, sometimes we are like a twig, rushing down the stream. But you are buoyant, and safely sail down the rapids. In time, the current will slow down, and you will indolently twirl on your back, gazing up at the stately canopy of ancient trees above, taking in their wisdom, their peace and tranquility feeding your ravaged soul.
Goodnight, my crazies. A peaceful sleep to you all

Good Morning Crazies
Katy- thank you for keeping me close- your words are a soothing balm. In fact made me start humming 'There is a Balm in Gilead'. Maybe I'll sing it later today and send soothing currents of sound to anyone that needs some comfort.
Slow how are you doing today?
Ducky great pictures of your children and that is pretty funny: 'if you have enough boys..."
'Improved ejection fraction' congrats Roses but someone school me on what that is.... still learning in this crazy school
Sula hoping your results allow you stay the course- I have to call to schedule mine .... still dragging my tail a bit
Mommato congrats on clear scan
Tomboy- I don't know if I ever said hello- HELLO- it's funny that you were the inspiration for this thread, because back in May when I was 'lurking around' BCO somehow you were one of the first people I started 'following' and I read through your blog too! as the wise Dr Lu ( my acupuncturist) says: there are no accidents.
I guess that means for better or for better we were all destined to hold one another in this life.
oh and Katy I love the Big Top logo
warmly
Christine

Right behind ya, Gaia and Ducky, saying Good Morning from the east coast!
What beautiful children, grandchildren, and furry friends! Italy and Ducky, I long for grandchildren--but not for at least another decade! Which means I would like to beat the cancer beast to be around to see them.
Crazy Town story for the day:
Oncologist's nurse to me: You need to call the surgeon to schedule a date for bmx. Then we'll figure out when to taper off the chemo.
Surgeon's nurse: Get the final date for chemo from the oncologist. Then we'll figure out when to schedule the surgery.
What, what?? These people work together, by the way!

Whoa! A lot going on here
Beautiful pictures everyone.
Slow, I'm sorry about Baylee I still tear up when I think about my first cat.
And I'm impressed by your spreadsheet! Thank you for remembering us.
Thanks for the cream recommendation, I'll have to order it on Amazon as I'm in Canada.
I have my CT this evening right after my radiation. I'm down 17, 13 more to go.

Here's a pic of me and my man- this is two days after my mastectomy on our way to a follow up with BS. If one thing was a blessing ( and there have been others for sure) I was guided to a surgeon who performed the mastectomy with laser technology. No hospital, no general anesthesia. I was truly blessed with that part.....

Got lost a bit in Crazy Town lately, still waiting for the hospital to call and set up my next CT Scan, even though I got a letter from my insurance that it was approved already.

Gaia, Did you hear me gulp when I read you had a laser MX?! I want to hear more. Wow, does that sound "cutting edge!"
Slow, Thinking about you and your loss. I can feel your pain from here.
Sula, Learning to sit properly yet? Hope you get good results and soon.
Ducky, Wonderful pictures. How's that cute little grayson doing?
Riding train around Crazy Town? I'll be sending in a calming sound track to soothe the nerves and pain.
As for me: Hip pain = MRI = Inflamed bursa = PT = Worry Cancer left the building.

JAN69 Believe me I KNOW! Dr Vincent Ansanelli. He is literally the only person who performs this and people come from around the world for it. He has a surgical room in his office and ( again thankfully) my insurance covered the surgery except for the room.
Once I get my own bearings a little better I want to figure out how to advocate for and encourage surgeons with a dedication to women's health to get trained in this method. For any of us having to deal with all of the ups and downs and indignities of this beast, the ability to provide a service that minimizes trauma is priceless. I also had ZERO pain meds and he doesn't offer them to ANY of his patients. There are other benefits of this procedure as well: it is relatively bloodless, the area is cauterized as he goes and therefore minimizes the possibility of C cells 'escaping', no hospital stay, no meds....So I have been dealt a rough blow with being Stage IV out of the gate, but at least the start of this wild ride was a (relatively) a blessing.
It also compounds how terriblly sad and angry I feel for those who are struggling with the after effects of these surgeries. If I test for BRCA I want Ansanelli to take the other breast.... though now that I am IV I don't know how that plays out.
The glitch with him is that he is OLD! he has actually been offering this surgery for over 20 years. Again I can't fathom why no one else is training in this; except of course hospitals don't make money on the room and the meds and the anesthesia.
Anyway I'm rambling and when I get home from my errands I can send some links, but he is also easy enough to google
hugs to all.

Ducky.. I always love seeing photos of your crew .. They are all so picture perfect.. You are very lucky to have such s big, wonderful family.. So lovely to see Grayson out enjoying life on her new wheels.. Bless her x
Gaia.. Lovely photo.. I can't believe how relaxed you looked considering it was taken only 2 days after your mascetomy! Two days after mine I was still glued to my hospital bed.. doing it tough! The lazer surgery sounds so, so much better ! I know what you mean about the thread moving so fast.. HaHa..it's like a full time job keeping up with it :-)
Jan.. Sorry you are suffering the hip pain.. Seems like there is always a worry over something with this awful disease.. :-(
Mommy.. Hope the insurance company contacts you soon.. So annoying having to wait.!
ErenTo.. Thinking of you and your CT scan.. Hoping for great news!
Sula.. HaHa.. Love the pigs. :-) My Aunty has a pet pig..named Wendy.. She makes her monte-carlo biscuits to eat. She say they're Wendy's favourite :-)
Slow.. Thinking of you 😞

Lucy,
those are possums!!!!! One of my favorite animals cause they're always up for hot Friday night action!
Also I got this via an MO who follows me on Twitter..it was written by the chief of gyn oncolgy at Mass General, (so you know he's good) and I thought I'd share it with my fellow crazies. This is for when we want to start barking at the moon and self blaming
Don't blame yourself for cancer!
ok, back to work for me..and I'll be catching up with everything as soon as I'm out of the office.
