Proudtospin: aw, bleep, I'm so sorry that the psychologist didn't get what you meant (because he clearly didn't). We'll do what we can, here on the boards and in CrazyTown, because we've been sucked down the rabbit hole ourselves.
Robin: yep, still here, just using up my crazy on the 'routing and switching' (computers) class and a teacher who wasn't quite sure what a graying lady older than he was doing in his 'networking' class last fall.
Ah, well. As my father-in-law commented "Not your problem." And that ties back into NOT getting sucked down the rabbit hole myself.

Hi Lucy, yes migraines resolved for now so I forget until the next one. Wyatt's doing better than last week. Rough seizure week for him. PoppyK, in your pocket. Love to everyone. Tomboy thinking about you.

Hey all and hugs to those who need them from a very snowy Connecticut

mommy, hearing you seem to be hit with more white stuff so stay in and dry, love the way your gov thinks, he seems to have closed the state!
Nj not so bad in this storm but working on a pot of soup while listening to the sound of ice on the doors

We could see up to 2 feet in some areas of the state. I was supposed to get 18-25 inches of this white junk, but they downgraded us to 10-18 a bit ago. Travel ban on to anyone not fitting into the category of emergency personnel, medical professionals or plow trucks. If you are not one of these categories and you get caught on state roads while travel ban is on its a $92 fine

The only things I miss about Connecticut are my friends and family. I was never a fan of the weather. I lived in "The Quiet Corner."
Stay warm ladies!
Octo- I saw this on Facebook and immediately came here to share it with you. Octopus <-----clickable link!
Love you all

Thank you Robin! Waayy Cool!
Stay warm and safe all of you on the East Coast! In our neck of the woods in the middle of California...well...you don't want to know how nice it is today. Guess that means I have to get out and walk, even though my knees have been really bothering me!
Hugs and greetings to all!

Yes, Octogirl, it does mean you need to be out walking. Or at least post a selfie here of your walking feet. We'll never know whether you went for a lllloooonnnnggg walk or just stepped far enough away from your car that it wasn't in the shot.

8” here by the lake—expecting about 2” more before the lake-effect bands turn back around and head east. Too sore to do my training session (too dangerous to walk, too hard to park at the gym) and the Silver Sneakers class got canceled. Besides, the Swisssgear lock I bought yesterday is a POS (and I don’t mean “point of sale”) that won’t close no matter what combination I try to set—shoulda just set fire to a $10 bill, since that’d have kept me warm for 5 seconds and therefore had some function. Housekeeper snowed in on w. side of the city.

I'm glad to hear everyone is staying inside and out of the storm.
Poppy, how did your biopsy go? Still in your pocket.
Iris, WOW! Nothing like Gee thanks for nothing! What kind of a psychologist is he? They have a Social Worker and a psychologist at the radiation center I go to and I can stop by and talk anytime I need. My Dh says he's surprised I haven't requested a psychologist yet. With everything I've gone through I don't think any of it has really hit me. Maybe it's because I'm already on mind altering drugs and have been for many years and they've kept me calm for the past year?
I'm praying everyone here gets the emotional support they need for as long as they need without the kind of comments that Iris was subjected to from someone she trusted.
Molly, I'm glad Wyatt is having a better week this week. He has been in my prayers.
Hi to Robin, Lucy, Sandy, momcat, octogirl, Mommy!

What a difference an hour makes: it's coming down fast & furious again, at least another inch thus far. This is already getting pretty old. Lucy, too bad O'Hare has cancelled its flights…an Aussie heat wave looks pretty good right now. Lori, I trust you’re far enough inland to have escaped the Lake/Porter/LaPorte County lake effect “Snowmageddon Belt."

well went out to check on car and get snow off now while soft. Nasty and just sort of sleet stuff as snow seems past. Think it is heading up to boston to dump on them. Really not much snow just very heavy. My neighbor, the onde i bartered my bike with in return for shoveling, did great job and while no place to go.....the car would be easy to get out,
Chicken souptime.

Sandy, yes we are waaay inland. The only thing we get here is pond effects from our pond
Iris, it's so nice you don't have to go out and dig your car out!

Looks like it is turning back to snow from freezing rain and it's not coming down as hard as it was earlier

Sandy - hi! I somehow seem to forget that Chitown is getting hit too. Sorry.
Mommy - my daughter Kirby went to WestConn and lived in New Milford before moving to NC. I moved 7 years ago and cannot fathom being back in the cold.
Iris - happy your neighbor did so well by you! It is good to have good neighbors.
Sula - miss you
Ducky - need your dry humo

Sunny blue sky again, but I see a huge cloud approaching above the house across the street. The official reported total for Rogers Park (the weather station is on the Loyola campus 1/2-3/4 mi. n. of us) was 8.2” but that was before the 3pm blast. Our snow warning expires in an hour, but Mother Nature might just give us a parting shot before she takes off to the east. Will wait till 6 before I attempt to venture out to the hardware store (and maybe Chinese rest. or WF to be the hunter-gatherer for the family).

Robin, I can't really handle the heat. I have lived in cold weather locations all my life. Was born in Wisconsin, lived in Rhode Island and have been here for almost 14 years. Can't wait for the time when hubby can retire so I can go back to Wisconsin

Snow, sleet, etc........weather person says 6 inches for Philly suburbs........6 inches my ass........make a pot of soup......for who!!!!!!!!!!!...........me, there ain't a friggin soul here to eat it........Oh right, I live alone, that could be why..........so I can say Thank Heaven's for a son who send someone to my house in the summer to take care of the weeds and outside nice stuff, and sends the same people inthe winter to do my snow.....and they even clean off my car........but still hate this white shit...........Stay warm all you nor'easter's...........

Mommy - Wisconsin is beautiful.
{{{DUCKY}}} There you are! No hiding that shine!! XOXO Soup is a fave of mine but not hubby, so I always end up with extras. Thank heavens for freezers and microwaves.
Sandy - here's to sending Mother Nature off in style!
Lucy - hope your day is going well and things dry out soon.
Poppy - in your pocket for however long you need it.
Molly - happy you have had a good spell with your boy. Hugs and kisses!
Love you my crazies. Thinking of our quiet ones and those who have moved on.

Just saying hi . . .all of us in western Washington state are also sick of the weather. In our case, unrelenting rain. Sea lions have been frolicking out in the bay and keeping me up all night for the past week. Just had colonoscopy and endoscopy... tiny polyp in the one case, and Barrett's esophagus on the other. For a 51 year old women, I must have a lot of hard city miles on me. Sheesh! At least the flowers are starting to bloom where I'm at. They're beautiful!

Speaking of our quiet ones, anyone hear from MLP3 from New Hampshire (a skier who was in the initial stages of chemo)? Been more than a year. And Jill (LovesToFly) from Toronto—an avid fitness fan, mom and school counselor? She was a wealth of information as she went through chemo—especially with makeup tips; last we heard from her she’d posted a link to a local TV show she was on as a panelist.

Sandy, Jill is a fitbit friend of mine. She's very active.

Good to hear, Molly!

I'm home after my biopsy. The doctor biopsied two nodules, 4 samples from each. He said they do not appear to be highly suspicious... but then my bc wasn't supposed to be anything, so I'm just waiting for the pathology report. At least a week before that comes in. My neck wasn't quite as numb as I would have liked, so the biopsy on the second nodule hurt. I guess I bled a fair amount, so I'm bruised and sore. Much easier than other biopsies. I have my breast excisional biopsy on March 29th. The fun continues. I think I'll take a couple of Ativan before that one.
Now if I could just get my boys do finish their chores...
Stay safe all who are having stormy, rainy, snowy weather.
