Mommy always good news should be shared......so happy for you...............I have so many appts. I have to make.....
Really annoyed....I found this fabulous, thorough....Derm, who literally checked every part of your body for skin cancer of any type......I had an appt with her on Nov. 16th..........she has removed several basal cell and squamous cancers from my chest leg, and arm.........................got a call yesterday that she hs relocated to Floridaa, from Philly suburbs........it took forever to find a good Derm......most scan your body in 2 minutes and send you on your way........this one was amazing........so here I go again...........
I think I am due for a dexa-scan.......and an eye appt.....since I have macular degeneration...already had surgery for cataracts and glaucoma...........I hate this crap.
Glad you had good news.hugs.0 -
Slow deep breaths
I would love the technology help.
I am in a Board meeting all day today and off on Monday.
I don't use my computer at home - too many viruses and I am on so much at work it is like YICK!
So maybe Tuesday

hi all you crazies
This is just quick cause I'm on the phone and I still only type with one thumb here
Ducky your early morning post made me laugh and also feel for you with all the letting go that's happening. Hopefully bobby cheered you up
Sula don't make me fly out to Sonoma and barge into one of your feasts
Tomboy I will check out site later. And not polished is just fine by me
Octohow are you today?
Katy did you rest any better
Slow how is your head cancer?
Mommy congrats. I hope I can say something like that soon
But I do got this! Had the muga. They said my number was just about as high as they've ever seen. 72! At least something is working
Love all you guys. More later.
I'm taking myself to lunch

Ducky, sorry your derm is relocating, dang when you have a good doc and they have the nerve to leave the area. I do have a good one who checks all over but you would need to hustle up to NJ for her. I found her by asking at the gym one day, 3 folks said they used her so I figured she was good.
I am so excited about the weekend, yesterday I got a message on facebook from my youngest nephew and he said he would be there and I am so happy to hear that, been way too long since I saw him and he had the nerve~~to get all tall and handsome behind my back
back is happy today and almost afraid to dwell on it but loving the help from the physical therapy guys, it is all due to them

Ducky,
sorry you had such a restless night, hope you find a nearby good derma. We live in a town with less than 10,000 people out in the country...most good docs are either in SF 50 mi away or Santa Rosa 25 mi in the other direction, quite a change from Santa Monica. There is a great derma here though..former head of dermatologly at UCSF, lives in town and sees patients here...anything else forget about it.
Gaia,
the welcome mat is always out if you come to town..just give me notice. One of the women I met on BC.org is coming to lunch tomorrow, she's my tumor twin, as we eerily match. Your MUGA is championship!!!! Anything that works, or super works is a bonus! Congrats!
Slow,
Head cancer? I think I had that last week. My tooth cancer turned out to be the need of a filling
Tomboy,
I love your site and your jewelry and boxes and art are amazing!!! The rough /industrial look is right up my alley, and your delicate pieces! Like someone here said , they do remind me of the dragonflies in our garden.
Katie,
How are you doing this morning before the long weekend
Mommy,
you are this weeks scan queen!
Octo,
hope this day is better for you.
And in closing...this vegan roast eggplant with Indian spices was lunch yesterday..right our of our garden
ok, back to it and I'll see all you crazies after work

So I was thinking I had cancer so bad that the the small bugs flying around my head while I work, sensed my imminent demise and were preparing to eat me. Because you know animals/insects are so much more intuitive.........
So I was greatly relieved Wednesday when I discovered that I had left a bag of grapes in a drawer I never open and it is likely the grapes have been there since ..................July, June May??? I don't really know and to be honest I can't remember bringing any grapes to work, but that is another cancer thing going on.
But, I am flat out denying any culpability when other staff members are wondering why there are so may tiny little fruit flies in our 4th floor offices.

lunch looks great Sula!
I ended up forgetting my sleeping mask again. I put it ON MY PILLOW so I wouldn't forget. I read (an actual book) before bed. When I woke up this morning the mask was on my pillow. Haha. I slept better tho. Still woke up but went back to sleep. And that despite a hearty nap which ordinarily would have ruined the whole night.
Had my pcp today. Blood work was all pretty good, except he did a vitamin D test prior and it was low. He says this can cause joint pain so put me on 5,000 IU of D daily. No other rare cancers were dxd today so to celebrate I bought myself some new walking shoes and took Jack to a nice park around a lake. 2 miles. One blister. Duh.

Kathy.. Thatagirl .. Take no responsibility for those fruit fly., pesty little buggers :-)
Katy.. So glad your blood results are all good.. Seems like the vitamin D one is often low in lots of people.. Regardless off the fact they love gardening and sunshine. So funny forgetting your sleeping mask and it was on your pillow.. Sound like something I would do n!!
Sula.. Eggplant isn't a favourite of mine.. But Hubby just loves it.. Grows his own as well. Your meal looks very yummy though cooked like that..
Saturday morning here. I'm off for a walk at the beach now.. 😃

Lucy, those are some pretty fancy moves you have there! haha Hope you were able to get some sleep.
Sula, Oh No!! That is sad, but so funny!! hahahahahaha. Don't you love how we can laugh about these things? You tell me your story, and I'll tell you the story about the time my husband provided noise distraction for the sounds my colostomy bag used to make out in public. The things in life that we endure!! Thankfully, I no longer have to worry about that particular problem. I have a lovely scar as a souvenir though. I don't like eggplant, but for some reason you make it look tasty.
Ducky, It's so frustrating when we can't sleep. Happy to hear good news about Phil. Keeping my fingers crossed!! Also, glad Stella is doing good!! Big congrats to you grandson!! So excited for him. Sorry you can't have a last hurrah. It's a real bummer when our favorite doctors move away. I hope you find one equally as good.
M0mmy, I also had long hair before treatment. I got mine cut right before chemo started and donated it to Locks of Love.
Kathy, it's a date. In the meantime, I will set up some screen shots so you can see how to post a pic. hahaha Kathy....my DH always says that when he sees buzzards flying around. He thinks it's his own personal buzzard just waiting to get him.
Gaia, Wow....that is a great EF number. Looks like it paid off taking such good care of yourself all these years. I bet you do really well with Herceptin. My head is still pretty sore, thanks for asking. I really smacked the heck out of it. It was all I could do not to pass out.
PTS, I hope you have a great time with your nephews. I bet you are a really wonderful aunt to them. I really love my nieces and nephews. My sister is so much older than me, they are really more like my siblings. Hoping your back keeps doing well!!
Tomboy, I knew everyone would love your art and creations!! You need to move forward with that Etsy store!! I just signed up for Etsy because my DD really wanted a cat clock for her birthday. That was my first purchase through Etsy.
Ok Crazies.....tomorrow is dear Tomboy's birthday!! Let's have a BIG party for her in Crazy Town!!! She will be turning 25....AGAIN. So tomorrow will be our first Crazy Town birthday party!! Let's make it a good one!!!
Love to all!!0 -
Sula, we cross posted. I'm thinking I need to move down your way!! Looks fabulous!!

Tomboy: what anniversary of your 25th birthday is this? And what's your favorite flavor of cake?
Sula: you may have rather a large number of BC board participants on your doorstep, chef's knives and ingredients in hand, if you're not careful. But you knew that.
0 -
QMC- would those knives be so we could all jointly prepare a beautiful meal in Sula's chefs' kitchen? Or to force entry and make her produce birthday cake on demand for Tomboy? I think we are capable of either. Or both.
0 -
Well, that depends. How sensitive is Sula about how 'properly' people chop ingredients? [running joke redacted aboutt whether BelovedHusband cuts vegetables wrong] And what flavor of cake does Tomboy consider correct for birthdays?
0 -
Oh, Tomboy?????? What's your flavor?
Early best birthday wishes for you. Let's start partying now!!!!!!

Today was a better day...more energy, less of that 'hit by a ton of bricks' feeling. I even took a long walk, woohoo! And I guess hubby was worried and wanted to cheer me up because he bought me a little 'It's Friday night and a holiday weekend' present: a new duck for my collection (I told you about our duck thing, right?)..Anyway, here is my duckie. Hope Ducky approves. He is a beaut, I think....

Octogirl.. I LOVE your new gift. How nice of hubby.. We love ducks too and have quite a collection as well.. Posting a photo of the ducks I bought that started the craze..

Octo- so happy you had a better day. And your husband is a doll. Love the new decoy ducky!
I'm ready for bed. No forgetting tonight.

haha!! Jack, I am always happy to cook for anyone in fact one of the people I met through BC.org is coming to an Indian lunch at our place tomorrow. I've been doing a lot of my cooking tonight.
Octo,
Yes, I have a big knife drawer, everything is super sharp for chopping. Any time you need some duck cooked.....I do a mean duck vindaloo. I would never attempt cooking your decoy however!! It's beautiful just make sure it doesn't try to fly South this Winter.
Slow,
Ha!!!!!! That is something that only members of the club can get. Actually that stuff cracks me up.
Tomboy,
I hope your birthday is spectacular!! I'd like to share with you the birthday card my husband gave me this year
Also here's a special treat for you, my birthday cake in a jar...
The cake is vegan, this thing of mine actually was featured in the NYTimes a couple of years ago. Wish I could make you one in person!!

suladog yum! Lurking again but you ladies are all so wonderful. Jackiebirdie you crack me up!
I'm back in crazy town tonight. My bladder is full of crap. Red blood cells, white blood cells, crystals, protein...treating it like a bladder infection for now. I also have a history of kidneys stones. So now I can't sleep because I'm trolling dr. Google on bladder cancer and chemo induced renal disease. Man do I have issues.
And I took Ativan. And gabapentin for my neuropathy...and chase it with cipro. Arghhhhhhh. I should be sleeping instead of in Crazy Town.
Love you all. This is my favorite thread. I just can't keep up it moves so fast
