Rainny: I'm sure there are preferable alarm clocks, but none more effective than that. Alas.

Have to cancel my MRI for my back thanks to the insurance company denying approval. Think my primary care doctor's office mucked up the paperwork. Will talk to my pain management doc this week about ordering one.

Mommy.....wow, so sorry.....all it takes is a wrong “code” and it screws up everything......I was denied a Pet Scan requested by my Cardio....get this.....he found some calcium buildup, so wanted to find out how severe which a Pet Scan would show........I never had calcium......so he sent in the request........this is what it came back....

Request denied.......There has to be a change in the patient’s conditon in order to approve a Pet Scan......well WTF...isn’t going from “no calcium” to “Calcium present” a change.......stupid asses......he said “I can fight it”.....I told him........Don’t bother........

The saga of my MRI continues. Doctor's office called, the screw up isn't on their end. Seems my insurance wants me to do PT or have the doctor send them proof that I am doing PT, which I am. So I have to get the place where I do PT send my doctor documentation that yes, I am doing PT there and what my progress is from when I started it and how long do they think I will need to do PT there with them, so the doctor can send. This all to the insurance company so we can get the MRI finally approved.

Octo ..in your pocket for your op !!! How exciting it will be on "the other side " ..you'll be skipping soon :-)

Mommy ..how annoying that you are mad to jump through all these hoops to get your MRI ..!

Ducky ...so good to see you ..😃 That's crazy that your MRI was declined too ..

Iris ..I hope it's working too !! Did you enjoy your rainy day ? It's a terribly hot , humid summer here , and we've been getting some wild afternoon /evening storms ..

Rainny ..that's great your pet scan was clear :-) ..I love your expression " the deep and innocent sleep of the unworried " ..those nights are few and far between for me..so many nights I fall asleep worrying about something... and wake up worrying about it ...glad you could sort everything out for your Mum.

    Hugs to all

ducky!! I missed you. rainny, hooray for clear scan! M0mmy, hoping you can get your MRI soon. That sucks to be in pain. Octo, in your pocket for your surgery. Lucy, that is so funny. I told DGS yesterday "let's skip to the kitchen". I am NOT that coordinated LOL. Wyatt has improved quite a bit from last week. I am still shell shocked over the whole thing. He's still on quite a bit of oxygen but he chatters and smiles again. We are doing the slow march to the final days. Maybe it will be slow. These times that we come close to losing him just break my heart and my spirit. Thank you all for caring.

Somebody give me the miracle cure for the common daggum cold! I’m miserable. Sneezing, sniffing, coughing. And I have a workshop this weekend that I am really looking forward to. I just want to feel good enough to go!

My first thought was, Alcohol kills germs. But I have to work tomorrow so that’s out.

Lucy, hah! Not sure skipping is in my future, but now I am tempted to try :-)

    Mommy, sorry for the hassles...

Molly, wish I could slow the world and time down for you...sending hugs!!!

M0mmy, hope you can beat the bureaucracy. Molly, glad Wyatt's feeling better. TaRenee, if you can find the cure for the common cold, can you share? Total laryngitis, L ear turns on & off, sinus but not nasal congestion, no fever. Hasn't reached my lungs. So no flu, just the "common crud." Slamming back broth, warm (not too hot) tea with honey, miso soup, room temp. spring water. Trying not to cough, because that further irritates the vocal cords; throat clearing & whispering slams them together. So people will just have to read my lips.

Yesterday en route to a party, my tire pressure light went on. Found a gas station with an air machine, but the car couldn't get close enough, the tires all looked normal, and the tire gauge screen was green (low pressure reads yellow or red). Probably a bum sensor--but didn't feel like getting out of my PJs, much less the house, today. Maybe tomorrow after I pick up the pački and king cake I ordered (for which I have no appetite right now) I can head to the nearby Subaru dealership and have them check it out.

Tomorrow I am taking DGS to Disneyland after school. It's a surprise. Valentine's day with my best guy. I made DH a special dinner tonight. Toad in the Hole and British roasted potatoes and mixed veggies. It was delicious! Fresh berries with fresh whipped cream for dessert.

Molly, I keep hearing about "Toad in the Hole," and only recently learned it wasn't a synonym for the "Egg in the Nest" my mom taught me to make for breakfast. So what is it?

Sandy, it's sausage cooked in Yorkshire pudding. Check out the photos. The sausage was Boorshead beef sausage.

well back from my luncheon with the aqua ladies from the gym i was a member of for mnany years, well still member but since doing pt at my cancer center, not doing gym. We are about 8 ladies, several have had there own cancer history. Got to say, i am bushed just going to lunch. Not sure if i told you but i fell yesterday and had hard time getting up. Was using the funky cane called hurrycane, well not gonna use that cane, i do better with regular cane. My pt thinks i should get a rollerator........no idea how to spell but gonna get one

Iris .sorry about the fall ! I think a rollator is a very good idea ...not only does it give you balance and safety ...your can pop a bit of shopping under the seat , plus put the brakes on and use it as a seat when you need a rest !!

Molly ..looks very yummy 😃 I had made Toad in the Hole years ago , and have forgotten about it ...going to make it again for the grand-kids now you've reminded me ! Did DGS enjoy his outing to Disney ?

Sandy ..I had to google what an Egg in the Nest was !!! I'm sure the grand-kids will love that too .

Ducky ..I think you're pretty safe about being l day late with the 6 months Valentine's Day card :-)

    Octo ..How are you ?????

    Hugs to all

Octo......so glad to hear you doing good after knee replacement...I really need at least one done desperately (you can hear the crunch), but I am afraid of my LE.....

I know it is in my arm, but evryone I ask says....Probably no chance of it causing it to happen in your leg, but we can’t guaantee it......my knee is very bad....had surgery years ago for torn everything, and knew replacement would be something I would need years later....

I’m ready physically to get this shit done, but mentally I am a coward.....my son says “Mom you have pain all the time, just get it done”...Phew

ducky, it is aways easier for others to encorage surgery, when you are ready, well you will do it.

Yesterday was cleaning gal day, i love the house after she does her thing. She also hung a new shower curtain in my spare bathroom. Funny as i went nuts finding one i liked but it looks so nice now, it is a huge red poppy flower!. Alert to all visiting me, the bathroom is now spiffed up!.
