Lifting you up! Patty, I can't wait to hear how free you felt while riding around town with the top down and the sunshine on your face!

Hi Patty.
Once you get that pain under control and catch up on your sleep, you can resume your life. It doesn't seem you are totally bedridden, but quite active. You will know your limitations!
If available, ask for a Hospice volunteer to keep you company while you sleep, or make "to do" lists, or answer phones, or play games or just talk. I am a Hospice volunteer and do all those things and more.
Besides riding in convertibles, what else are you looking forward to doing?
Do you have someone to organize food for you and the boys? Soups are always good.
Thinking of you everyday.

I can see you rocking that glamorous Hollywood look in the convertible. Scarf flowing, big sunglasses.
Catch up on sleep and let those volunteers work for you.

hey all checking in. Sorry I haven’t. Thanks momimator for the update.
Chevy. I missed you. Glad to see you. Chocolate cokes I had forgotten about. Yum yum. Can they make a convertible big enough for all of us. Or better yet a parade of convertible bco ladies. We would rock anywhere we went.
I am comfortable with pain pump and still very alert most of the time. I wouldn’t drive but can ride. Actually yesterday ds1 - 16 yrs old - drove us to Waffle House for brunch. Just him and I. Was great. Ds2 got home from church camp last night. Had the BIG talk no medical secrets kept away. They are both as to be expected. I gues tears and snuggles. But no major break down.
My bestie came over and made bacon and eggs and biscuits for brunch. Was much appreciated. I still have freezer full from when bothbsis were here and froze some casseroles and soup.
My eldest sis will be here from AL for the week of July 4th. She is wanting to take us in a small trip. I think my ability to ride in car is no more then 3 hour. Looking forward to it.
Thanks for support all
Hugs. And hootie hoo

oh Patty - thanks for sharing the picture with your very handsome son. He is a doll! I can see the love for him in your eyes. You must take that ride in the convertible. I wish I lived close to you and could rent the convertible and take you on that ride! My 6’4” husband had 2 convertible Miatas. They are very small cars but so fun to drive and be a passenger in. You’ll have a blast! Sending love and support.

THIS IS THE CAR! And probably enough room for a whole LOT of us! Some could even sit on the back,
And yes little Peppermint, your Son is a keeper! Sweet little guy! Our #1 Grandson.... Brandon who is 30 has been here with Sheri for almost a week! It is such a kick to be around him....! I just laugh every time he opens his mouth. So enjoy every moment with those boys...
So wait! You had biscuits??? And did you have bacon gravy with that??? That was always my favorite Sunday breakfast when we were little.... Bacon and eggs, and Biscuits and Gravy! I still make that sometimes....!
And there was nothing wrong with your face.... But your hair! You dyed your hair that color??? What is it, hot pink? I wonder if I could get away with that.... Honey, at my age, no-one would even notice.... Hah!

Now you've done it. Put a picture of something I can really drool over. Cute puppies and doggies are fine but a cool car is much better.
My wife recently talked with her oncologist. He told her she had numerous new mets and uptake in SUV. It hasn't gone wild, but the Xeloda has stopped working. Next it's on to a port, which she's had before, then infusions of epirubicin (whatever that is?). Said there are three to five chemo options left, then perhaps a phased study. Dr. said she's responded well to chemo before and got 16 months off Xeloda. Oh well, "Once more into the breach."

I'm thinking we'd better have a whole PARADE of sweet convertibles like that....complete with adorable puppehs in the cupholders. Because, yes. (I showed this to my husband...he's so with this. There better be space for both of us. Just saying.)

Patty, you kidding me, that picture?? You've been hiding this hunk all along?? That look? Fantastic. They are so close to you, you did a good job girl.
Yes, the bloatness is a pain, but if it helps you what the heck. Thanks so much for keeping us updated.
And those cars, gosh how are you gonna choose??
