Your ride sounds like it's going to be great! Enjoy! So glad that you spoke up and got rid of the first hospice team! No excuses for their delays! Hopefully your new team will get everything set up quickly. As a nurse, I've worked with many hospice groups, and their services are invaluable. The patients wants and needs always come before anything else. Pain relief is #1 priority. Please keep us posted! LOVE your hat!!!0

I'm so glad you're going with the second hospice group.
It's good to know the limitations of the first group now. Four days to return the phone calls of their own nurses? Horrible. If the doctor wants a long weekend, there should be a covering doctor. SHAME on them!!!

Love the hat! A friend of mine made me one just like that during my first time around (chemo for early stage back in 2003/2004). Have fun on the convertible ride! I love synchronicities like that! It was meant to work out that way!
I'm so glad you've found a new hospice team that is a good fit - it sounds like it will be going much better with them! I hope you get to go home tonight and that the pain management plan keeps you comfortable!

Hi Patty. You are one heck of a fighter! Good for you for firing that hospice group. They deserved it. I'll bet your strength caught them by surprise. How dare them!
I'm praying for you Patty. I just told my daughters about your situation and they are praying for you too. We're learning a lot from you.

I met my Brother in San Francisco one time, and at the air-port, the gal asked if I wanted an upgrade on my rental car... So sure, I said "yes"... It was a new black convertible of some sort!!! Man I was afraid to drive it... Finally my Brother drove it, and we drove all over hell and back with the top down, and the heater blasting!!! First time I was ever in a convertible... probably the last, Hah!
I'm always thinking of you little one... Always in my prayers... Just hoping for pain-free days, and a song in your heart...

Patty got home last night around 8 pm, hospice was waiting, and stayed up till around 11 getting paperwork done.
Patty is comfortable with pain pump and other pain nausea meds.
She's going to bed now.
No convertible ride yet.
