Patty, I'll gather some of our BCO sisters, and we will smuggle you out of there in no time. Seriously, I am sorry to hear about the rough time you are having. Life is so unfair sometimes. I hope you are out of that hospital and back home with your boys soon. You are in my prayers.

rose. Thanks
Lynn. I am packed and ready to be smuggled out
Praying todays the day. Not sure though. This morning around 5 my blood pressure bottomed out again 70/30. Never fails every hospital visit my blood pressure bottoms out. It doesn't scare me any longer. It sure does scare the nurses though. Praying this does not prevent me from going home today. Hugs and thanks for all the support ladies. Love you all

Patty, Don't you just wish that your blood pressure had just held on till you had gone home? Ha! I am sure that it is better that they investigate the source of the problem. Have they ever found a reason for it in the past? I am praying that you are home very soon. I wish that we could all come and visit you in person. We would be so loud that the nurses would insist that you be discharged just to get rid of us.

Artist Keeping the faith. Thanks for the reminder. It's really all out perspective isn't it.
I am home !!!! Got here around 5pm yesterday. Was asleep for the night by 7 pm. Today was a GREAT day. I didn't need any breakthru meds all day. 1st time since dx over 3yrsrs ago. How exciting. I even did laundry and made a HUGE ( at least by my standards ) supper. Chicken fried steak , mashed potatoe and gravy , greenbeans and biscuits and grape jello. Again first time since dx. Normally can't stand that long. I am super excited (as if you can't tell ). I started xeloda about 5 weeks ago. I had horrible hip pain before I started and it's been gone awhile. Just left with horrible lower back bone pain. It's where the largest oft my too many to count tumors. At the hospital mo said a lot of that area was swollen with a lot of fluid. They have me steroids. I am praying the xeloda has killed so many cancer cells and now inflammation down. I can barely remember what life was like before constant debilitating pain and cloudiness of pain meds. Little sad it didn't happen while the boys were home for the summer so we could have done some fun things. But hey, now is still GREAT !
Looking forward to being able to come alongside and support some others instead of needing the support so often. Thanks for helping me thru. I know it's only been1 day but really one day since 3 years is something to get excited about - in. my book !!!!
Hugs

Patty, would you like to come over and cook dinner for us? Your dinner sounds yummy. I could see the boys grinning from ears to ears. It's almost day and night from a few days ago. I'm excited for you too. BUT remember steady pace, steady pace, steady pace. Don't start running a marathon yet. Got to train first, right?

Patty, so happy you are home! Praying that your pain will continue to decrease! You support and encourage us here every day! You are one tough lady, I really admire your strength!

yay!!!!! Awesome! So so happy you had a great day! Dinner sounds yummy! Chicken fried steak is one of my favorites!!!! I suck at making gravy though...
Don't over do it. I'll speak for myself...when I feel good I get so excited and go go go...the next day or two I crash crash crash. And with all your poor body has been through...pace yourself girly! But I totally get the thought of "I can't remember what is was like before." You are one tough cookie:)
Continued prayers,
Kristin

WOOHOO, WOOHOO, WOOHOO! I have a huge smile on my face. I am joining in on that happy dance. This is exciting news indeed. I have to agree with everyone else and warn you not to overdo things. Oh my, I can just imagine how happy your boys must be. I will keep you in my prayers and hope that Xeloda crushes those cancer cells.
Oh, and yes, my picture is new. I was going to wait until I turned into a gorgeous, young-looking beauty, but for some reason it just didn't happen. Go figure.

Welcome home Patty. Even though your summer wasn't exactly what you hoped, your children are resilient and for them you helped to make great memories. So dreadfully sorry about your precious dog. My. heart. aches.
Broken collar bone doesn't sound fun but your son will view it as a badge of courage and honor. This too shall pass. You take good care of yourself. Oh and those pesky eyebrows, pencil liner filled in feather like to begin the process then a thin brush with eye shadow will fill in the blanks and it looks soooo natural. Go online like YouTube for instruction. You can find virtually any form of instruction needed.
Enjoy a healthy weekend. You deserve it!!!

Doing a wiggly jig for you, dear Patty.
You've paid your dues and received a pain-free day.
May there be many more in your future - time to enjoy your beloved husband and sons, time to enjoy your life, time to feel well again.
Thank you, Xeloda for helping our friend Patty through this ordeal.
And thanks to those at the hospital who worked wonders for her.
love from a virtual supporter, Stephanie

Patty, glad you are home! I, too, hope the Xeloda is doing/will do some major karate chops on your BC . . . . and the pain. Severe bone pain is simply miserable!!! I have been there and it is SO difficult to live with. Little movements/actions we take for granted can become impossible. The good and bad news is that bones can be "complainers". They *often* though not always let us know when something is wrong. But their communication style is very painful. (Contrast that to the lver which doesn't complain until it is in severe trouble, which is also good and bad.)

Ok ok ok. I hear yall slow and easy wins the race. Just so very hard to remember.
Today has turned out to be yet another great day. Me and the boys had a lot of errands to run, bills to pay and i went to the library. Normally I'll be down a good 2 to 3 days on the couch after such a trip. Today I feel great! I have not taking any breakthrough medicine again today. I am sleepy and ready to take a nap but I guess my body is just saying well slow down chick. ( yeah my body talks like a free lovin hippy )
I even felt good enough to take notes to respond to many
Blue Frog, Lynnwood. Babs, chevy. Big hugs
Loverly. Love the Charlie Brown happy dance. It's got me up dancing.
Kjones. Lol. It was package gravy. Mom tried many times to reach me how from scrap but I never got it like hers.
Lynn \ 50s girl. Your pic is so pretty you would make a gorgeous, young looking beauty jealous and cry. Lol
Amye. Thanks for the eyebrow tips. I need all the tips I can get. I went to cancers look good feel better class twice but my makeup skills suck. Also need to do something about no eyelashes . As my hairy legs grow out of control ( the hair lol not the legs ) I haven't had to shave legs about once per month since first chemo 14 years ago. Now they need it like every other day. Funny how that worked out. Gotta find the humor to not cry, right
Jfl. - love the analogy : karate kicking cancer cells and pain. Love it ! Don't you have a little one at. home ? Must be very busy
Lindae. Much love fellow bone metster
Longterm survivor. \ Stephanie. I agree it's my time finally. Actually all of us have paid our dues and it's our time
Ruth. : come on over. Dinner and board games or cards ???
Sorry if I missed anyone. Hugs to all
